I purchased a room at Suburban Choice Hotel, a kitchenette for $55 a night! The room rate was fabulous and this is the best smelling hotel I have ever stayed in. The people are friendly and helpful and I will definitely stay in Suburban again and use Reservations again.
I admit to not reading the fine print. It starts out that we do not charge a change or cancel fee so I thought I was okay. When you get to the very end it says "we retain a non-refundable processing fee" and so I'm out $14.99 for needing to cancel. I really thought I was on the hotel's website since it was the hotel I googled and where I wanted to be. Yep, my mistake but they are very misleading in their presentation.
I was not satisfied with the difference in price of my Days Inn Hotel stay from the price charged to my American Express ($88.26 + $14.99 = $103.25) to the amount listed on the folio given to me at checkout - $69.40. I felt cheated especially because of the cheapness of the hotel room (soiled bed linens, cigarette burnt comforter set, damaged ceiling tiles, no toiletries, and the compact reception/ breakfast room was so cramped coupled with the fact that the Hotel was out of many breakfast supplies even though I went at 8:15 a.m.). I would like to request a credit because I did not think the experience was worth what I was charged. In my opinion, the most I think I should have paid was $49.99. Thank you for your respond to my request for a refund. I spoke to American Express but they suggested that I contact your service first.
We reserved a room with 2 queen beds and even called the hotel to confirm. When arrived at midnight found the only room they had was a king bed and hid a bed. That did not work for 4 people.
Very good location, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room
The site makes itself appear to be the Hotel Site. Room rates are quoted but no disclosure is made as to the additional $14.99 booking fee Reservations.com is tacking on to what appears to be an Expedia booking (i. E., they book through Expedia and charge $14.99). I only discovered the $14.99 charge after my card had been run. I immediately called customer support and received a third party call center who had no contact information for Reservations.com, thought they work for them. They cancelled my reservation but claimed that he $14.99 was non refundable. This is bordering on fraud. No disclaimer, no contact number, no recourse. The Third Party call center said that they would request a refund from Reservations.com. I've received no follow up. Shame on this site. If my charge is not removed, I'll be reporting to the BBB. I've already disputed with my CC company.
I recently thought of planning a travel for inspiration. Drive my senses to look for a trustworthy hotel reservation website, Just got a click of reservations.com and guess what I got? User friendly interface of website made my search easy. Easy navigation through various options to search best hotels of my choice surprised me because many travel planning websites makes the process difficult for end user.
I was looking for something new. Large selection of hotels, simple and detailed information cut down the time in planning my hotel selection. Good customer support has addressed all my queries and the personal touch they give while resolving queries moved my heart. I never had this ultimate experience in my life. Quality Services of reservations.com insists me to post this review after my trip. My honest choice for my family and friends will be always reservation.com for planning their holidays. I will definitely take their services again for planning my travel to make more good memories.
I was booking and saw time limited sale. It was for something like the next 15 min a room on sale for $115. I booked and was quite surprised by the total. Approx $168 because of the tax and service fee and then the approximately $15 booking fee on top of that as well.
Answered all questions quickly and precisely. They book for thousands of hotels worldwide. And matches all our needs. A stress less booking process. Bravo Reservations.com!
Easiest reservation I've made in the last 20 years on any site anywhere. Site is easy to use. Will always travel this way. Online booking is great!
I was surprised that the amount had to be paid in full. There use to be a time when you paid for services after the fact. I do hope the Hotel is up to our standards and that we don't have any issues. I normally just call a Hotel make a reservation, give a card # and pay upon departure. This is something I don't like and will never use again,
While searching for a hotel room on expedia.com, I somehow got sent to reservations.com, and had no idea I was there... until a $14.99 booking fee showed up on my credit card! The email confirmation they sent me listed NOTHING about this booking fee. Luckily, AMEX is good about having your back when things like this happen. They investigated and issued a refund.
For some reason you gave me a "handicapped" room practically at the front door. Shower small and not so great, and living room, where I tried to sleep on soda bed, was the worst. Coils practically springing out. And it was a single. I also booked a room for my son and his wife and cold. Same price. But big and much nicer. So you see my problem I hope.
I recently go the run around as their customer service is for many different websites.
The $14.99 gets added on when you make the reservations amongst the taxes etc.
What would be the honest thing to do is to show on the main page that a $14.99 fee will be given no matter what instead of being sneaking and adding it after.
Also when I called their "customer Service" the girl could not find in the terms and conditions for me where it showed the sneaky $14.99.
Also if you decide to cancel your reservation you still get that charge. Ridiculous.
You are much better off booking directly with the hotel.
I will never use this service again!
Is there negative stars to describe this company?
Customer service. - 10!
I can write down my complaintsssss at length but no more stress!
STAY. AWAY. From this.
First of all the size of the bathroom in a fully prepaid luxury room.
Second the uncleanliness of the air grates on the air conditioner
Third dirty garbage cans and when the cleaning staff was notified nothing was done to rectify the problem.
Fourth your day shift on hand customer service rep was very discerning when we asked about signing up for the red roof points club to get a free room I. The future and his response was it was not valid on purchasing rooms on cheap internet sites.
That was a real piss off as we are supporting your hotel with revenue but I think we will take our business elsewhere.
And lastly what is the deal with the envelopes left in the room about leaving tips.
No way in the coldest day in hell would I leave a tip in the way things were during our three night prepaid time.and to have it left I. The room is extremely precocious and very unsettling...
After booking this, no email detailing the purchase was sent, and hotel would not issue a purchase receipt because it was booked through reservations.com
Frustrated as I needed the purchase receipt to get reimbursed for the room, so I am out of pocket $256.00
I could not find any easy option on internet than this. My hotel booking was so flawless and was quite happy to see whole bunch of options to get the best price.
Booked a hotel in Ontario, only to receive my invoice the next day in US funds. I didn't see US funds anywhere on site when booking, so I was not impressed and felt mislead.
I recently booked a trip to visit my friend in Chicago and reservations.com couldn't have made it any easier. They had a great selection of hotels, great pictures to choose from in my price range and which help me make my decision. Their site functions easily and much better than any other travel booking site I've used. Great place to stay, good price, nice clean rooms, close to highway and many stores to pick up travel items. It was great to go on-line and get reservations in minutes for an unexpected get-away.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at [email protected] so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
