I liked the ease and convenience of this reservation. Although there was a fee and the hotel room could have been less.
I accidentally booked two rooms when I only wanted one. The site did NOT give me a "review before booking" option. When I discovered I had booked two rooms I called within five minutes to have it changed. It took four phone calls to their customer service, and three emails, plus a phone call to the resort itself over the span of two weeks to get the issue resolved. Twice I was assured a supervisor would call me back and they didn't. Once I was assured it was fixed and it wasn't. They never did update my reservation confirmation. The only way I knew it had been resolved was the credit to my credit card. Do yourself a favor and reserve directly with the resort or through a more reputable site than this one.
We paid over 200 a night to stay and had to pay another 20 dollars a night to park. At times the vallet was so backed up it would block the entire driveway and you could get out of their parking lot. Everyone was very friendly though.
I thought I was booking directly w/the hotel, that was not the case. I needed to cancel one night and the agents at reservations.com were incredibly unhelpful, and very rude. I had to call the hotel directly to get authorization. I will never make that mistake again.
I had very nice stay and loved the bathtub and your staff was very friendly and helpful and we will stay there again
The staff at this property was very accommodating and friendly. I was looking for a reasonably priced location that was centrally located to our activities and the reason for our visit to Nampa.
Physically this property has seen better days. Some TLC for the building would do greatly to match the staff.
My wife and I were thrilled with all the changes and improvements to the hotel. The lobby area with adjacent sitting area coffee/bar were excellent and we loved the concierge who helped us with our plane reservations. The room was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the lovely experience!
My wife and I stay at the Blackhawk when we are visiting her father in Waterloo. Comfortable, great staff and lots of things to do in downtown Cedar Falls.
Buyers Beware! Better to go direct to the hotel, which is what I thought I was doing. The link was quite deceiving in the first place, and red alarm bells should've haven't going over when it's "non-refundable" and pre-paid rate despite making reservations 3wks advance. Long, long story short, I tried changing departure date due to family emergency, and attempted 6 times to call the customer service to help resolve. Clearly, these are international call centers, and none of them were helpful, giving me a myriad of excuses why they can't. I called the hotel several times to confirm and even attempted on my check in date to make changes which they were willing to approve; but the third party refused and would keep me on hold for 10-20min each time and only to tell me I have to call back tmrw because hotel Mgmt was not available or the hotel needs to refund them. They are complete liars and one of the worst cases of blatant poor business practice that I've experienced in recent years. At the end, I left one night early and could not get my $400/night refund. Also, they show up as "reservations.com" but hotel shows "Expedia"... again, BUYERS BEWARE! I will NEVER book through them again. I may have lost $400, but they've lost a customer for life.
It looks good from the outside but I would highly recommend another place. I had to change my room because of the roaches. My oldest has allergies and asthma with that said, she is allergic to roaches set her off, so that would have set her off to go to the emergency room.
The staff was not at all friendly, no one ever greeted us any time we entered the hotel. The room was never cleaned or fresh towels brought in on our third day even after talking to the front desk personnel. The heating/cooling equipment was so noisy we couldn't hear the sound from the TV. I have never experienced such a terrible hotel stay during my many years of work or pleasure travel. Never again.
As I was traveling with my two young children, I asked when booking to be on the women's floor of the hotel. I asked the person helping on the phone 3 different times to double check that I was on the women's floor. When I checked in, I was not on the women's floor and they didn't have any rooms on that floor. The women's floor is the only reason I planned t stay at this hotel so I'm not happy it didn't work out.
Hotel I will not use this again. I was forced to as I was speaking at an event and this was the only way they would allow me to make a reservation. I did but the system would not let me use my discount code. It also charged my card four weeks prior ( no hotel website does this!) When I checked out of the Best Western Downtowner in Madison. They did acknowledge the rate. However they had already charged my card and were stupified as to how to get me a refund. They clearly did not want to do so.
I have turned this over to American Express.
Never again will i use this service!
I have problems charging me internet access when it was free, phone calls when I never used the phone.
Guest service never answer
Hard to conviven them they made a
Mistake. You need more customer service employees with better skills.
Positive: rooms were clean
When I was checking out of the hotel, there was an additional $10 charge per day charged by Tan-Tar-A since I used this site, I just thought I was making a reservation, I didn't know this was some kind of special website. My own fault, there is no reason to use a site like this unless it offers a great discount and this didn't
Hotel has been renovated but still dated. It has Sleep Number beds which I found interesting. I would not go back. It was cheap. It is pet friendly and the room across the hall had flees. YUCK! I couldn't get that out of my head. Had I not heard that tidbit over breakfast, I might not have been so alarmed. They have those lights that kill germs. Dehumidifier things plugged into the hallways. I'd pay more to not be freaked out that I will get bed bugs or flees.
I don't travel that much but when I do I make sure that all my bookings are complete and secure so I won't be left hanging when I arrive at my destination. Reservations.com has always been my partner during my travels. I can rest assured that my hotel bookings are confirmed.
Reservations.com is the first booking site I've ever used and I was shocked that I could actually book all these great hotels at a discounted price, I mean most of them. Was able to book a room at the Sheraton for a price I never would have thought.
I travel a lot for business and sometimes I just spend a day or two for an out of town trip. Reservations.com has really helped me a great deal in finding airport hotels. I usually go for airport hotels to save me the hassle of missing flights.
I used Reservations.com when we were planning to visit Nashville. We are a family of musicians and we just wanted to explore the city. I liked that the site helped us find a good hotel near the attractions we wanted to visit.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.

Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
