I cancelled a reservation 36 hours before arrival. They said their policy was one day before arrival, but that day starts at midnight. SO for checking in 6pm Wednesday you must cancel Monday before midnight. The room was $69/night. The "one day" cancellation fee was $104. They sent no email confirmation to me with any details. The policy is not explained On their site or the hotel's site. NEVER AGAIN!
A co-worker recommended a hotel by name so I did a Google search and it came up through this site. Prices looked within my government travel allowance so I clicked book room, which I expected to show me any additional charges but that did not happen. There was no chance to review fees or taxes. The site did not even make it clear that I was going through a reservation agency, much less that there would be fees. My $79 room now totals $116 and the fees are not refundable. I should have stayed with my chain hotel even though the location is less convenient. Lesson learned.
I was looking for good booking site. I did my research and found this awesome website. I booked my hotel without any hassle. The price was fair compared to other sites I have used in the past.
Have you ever did something and regretted it for years? Book with these folks then have a serious family emergency. They don5 give a damn and when talk to them you can barely understand a word they are saying. It's so damn loud you can barely here them.
JUST GO STRAIGHT TO THE HOTELS SITE AND BOOK. NEVER USING THESE GREEDY $#*! PIGS AGAIN!
This company collects ESTIMATED TAXES NOT THE REAL TAXES which end up being twice what they real taxes are.
I haven't had any bad experience with Reservations.com after using it for the three times I've had to book a hotel out of town. I'm very satisfied with it and will continue to use it in the future. Keep it up!
I didn't even mean to buy here but they totally tricked me! I realized the price was way higher than what it was suppose to be after paying! They don't show you the full price after paying. I called to cancel inmediatly after the reservation, but they don't give the money back. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
First of all, I had NO intention to go through your scam of a US website to book my Canadian hotel room. I'm not sure how it happened, but your crooked company must have masqueraded as the actual hotel's website and, like parasites, hi-jacked the transaction (the actual hotel informed me afterwards that it happens all the time; the lady on the phone knew exactly what happened before I even explained it). Of course, when your "staff" answer the phone call, they answer simply with "Reservations..." (clever); so the customer thinks they are talking to the actual hotel's reservation department; not quite the case... So the next thing you know, the full cost of my reservation is charged to your credit card up front, converted from CAD to USD, with an added non-refundable service charge! Are you kidding me?!?! Of course, when I noticed this, I immediately called back to have my booking cancelled and my money reimbursed. But of course, the 673$ USD you charged me for the Canadian hotel room I booked cost me $900 CAD on the booking, but magically, a week later, was only worth $850 CAD on reimbursement... Funny how that works! Lol Add the non-reimbursable $20 service charge, I am now out $70 CAD! Hope your dishonest scam is worth it! This will be reported. BUYER BEWARE! These guys are insidious and dishonest; they are lurking in the hopes of ripping you off!
My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship right now because of my work and I come home once a month. We love to do staycations and Reservations.com has helped us a lot! Room rates are reasonable and booking process is easy!
When it comes to booking hotels, Reservations.com is my best choice. This is my third time to use their site and all of the bookings went smooth. Believe me, you won't be disappointed!
Booking at Reservations.com is the efficient way to get most out of your vacation. By using their site, you get to choose from a long list of hotels that fits your budget. Or if you are lucky enough, you can find a 4 or 5 star hotel at a discounted price! Be wise, be smart book at reservations.com!
Just learnt of a recent promotion via an email received, went online and saw some good prices for an upcoming trip. All was well at the hotel upon arrival, booking process was also easy. Called their call center to upgrade my room and the lady on the phone said she would try and got me an upgrade. Would surely book again
I've been hesitant in using booking sites to make hotel reservations but Reservations.com made it all easy for me. They have instant booking confirmation on the hotel of my choice. Not just that! I also saved a lot on their hotel deals!
I have to say this website is a complete scam. Not only did the price alter from the price provided at booking it also sets the currency in US even though the website was through a Canadian portal. I went to cancel as it was 30% higher than any other site and they refused... terrible business practise...
Angela, Brian and the team were very courteous and able to help assist me with a refund when I had made a booking error.
Angela was great on the phone and Brian responded to my e-mails and questions very quickly.
All in all, my experience was very good. When I am travelling again I will now check with reservations.com and use them whenever I can.
Scammers! They charge you US currency when booking and staying in Canada, no cancellation and you are not aware you're on their site. Customer service is disgusting!
I made a reservation through the website and when I got to the hotel it wasn't there. It took me over 30 mins to get the reservation situated and me calling them and them having to call the hotel and send over paperwork. Overall bad experience and would not book with them again.
Was not told this was a pre-pay reservation. Charged twice - once by reservations.com, once by hotel. Heard another customer in the lobby say she was also charged twice. Thought I was talking directly to hotel. SCAM!
This has to be one of the best booking sites available. My experience was amazing, and my holiday was beautiful! Thanks to Reservations.com for helping me out in every way, even when I had questions about things! A simple call cleared it all up. Fantastic service and very effective, professional website! I will be using Reservations.com again!
I have found a hotel booking site that I'm going to be sticking with for a pretty long time. Reservations.com is that good. They offer great hotel deals and show you plenty of hotels to choose from too.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
