Complete scam company. Do not use. What a ripoff racket. Slimy. Stay away.

Their customer service was rude, condescending and unwilling to accomodate our concern.

What a disgusting criminal enterprise. Trick people and then insult them. #scam

Definitely a SCAM!
February 18, 2019

These foreign scam artist charged us double the price of what the room actually booked for. The girl at check in accidentally charged us again for the room, that's how we found out this scam sight charged us double of what the room really booked for. The Hotel refunded us our money back, but Reservations.com (SCAM.COM) wished not to discuss with us why they charged us double, when their site says 60% discount.

Rip Off!
February 15, 2019

Don't use this site! I had a reservation booked in the foothills east of Sacramento, CA. I live in Reno, NV. We are in the middle of a major snow storm and they have forecast that both of the highways I could take to get over the Sierras will be closed (7+ feet of snow forecast), or in any event will not be safe to travel. They charged me $ 40.00 to change a date two weeks, 25% of my room cost! If I had cancelled I would forfeit the entire $ 160.00! Pay the extra $10-$15 and book directly with the hotel!

This company is a ripoff. I was charged $14.99 to make my reservation and they wanted an additional $14.99 to add a day. The said they had to cancel the original reservation and make new one.

$15.00 booking fee which of course they don't mention until the hotel has been booked and there are no refunds.
Room was more expensive with this company then if I had booked directly with the hotel. Actually thought I was booking with the hotel directly but Reservations.com jumped in and took over. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

I booked a stay at a nearby hotel during a snow storm. They claimed the hotel had only 3 rooms left. I paid 251.00 dollars. After thinking about it I called the hotel directly they stated they has plenty of rooms and the price was 79.00 dollars for a room. I went to get a refund from them they denied it. The only reason I booked it was because I thought the site was for the hotel itself. The google search brought me right to reservations.com. I will be filing a other complaints due to there deceptive business practice's. Buyer beware.

High pressure scam
February 12, 2019

I should have known that I had clicked on the wrong phone number when the agent turned high-pressure and wanted to complete the transaction quickly before the rooms were gone. Hampton Inn would not have put pressure on me. Unfortunately, I was left with a $15. Fee for booking my room, It took a while before Hampton Inn could find my reservation and give me the correct confirmation number.

Disappointed
February 10, 2019

We had a room booked by a friend who said we can cancel anytime. No, that is not the case as I tried twice to talk to them and since I did not have the credit card number my friend used, they could do nothing. The accent on the phone was hard to understand which made it even harder to communicate. When I talked to the hotel, their price was LESS than this website. We are now paying the nonrefundable service fee and happily not using them again.

Definitely a SCAM!
February 9, 2019

E The entirely booked hotel I wanted suddenly became available when I wasn't interested in any other ones. I gave them all my info and credit card info and they asked me to hold for a confirmation number. The phone then disconnected. I called back and no one had any info on me! I then called the hotel directly and they have been booked all evening! So I called my credit card and they had reversed part of the fee but kept a 14.99 service fee. I filed a fraud dispute so will get it back. The hotel I wanted told me this 3rd party company pays to have their number pop up first on the internet so that is why we all accidentally get this scammer's number. This company should be shut own.

Don't use reservations.com. Stick to Expedia and Travelocity. They have hidden fees, and the website is set up to confirm your purchase (non-refundable) prior to seeing their fees. Just scammed and not happy.

This site showed up when I went to make a reservation at a Sheraton for a medical conference. I *thought* it was the Sheraton's own reservation system. When I received the confirmation I found it was a third party company - I had to add an additional day but I called (immediately) and was told I could neither modify or cancel my reservation, and that I was also being charged an additional $15 as their service fee. They told me they would "check" with Sheraton about a refund, however they not only did NOT check with the hotel, they sent me their own email with "pictures" of where on my reservation it stated it was nonrefundable. So, the supervisor I spoke to had lied to me about their process. I contacted Sheraton directly, added the extra night AND was charged LESS than the Reservations.com website. It's a total scam.

I made an accidental reservation online today. I googled a hotel and there was an ad for said hotel and when I clicked on it, it looked like the hotel itself so I completed a reservation. After clicking confirm, I was notified that my card was charged in full and so I knew something was not right. Upon further glance, it showed that I was on a site called reservations and NOT the reservations page for the hotel. I contacted them immediately and they REFUSED to refund because it their policy stated they could not. No one was willing to help and continued to repeat the same line about the policy not allowing for a refund. I am sincerely at a loss for the way they are handling this situation and am using every outlet to deter others from using their company

They wanted to charge me a bunch of extra money for a reservation and then when I wanted to cancel the agency said I would be blocked or black balled from 250,000. Hotels across the world and can never book with them or any of those hotels ever again? What, I travel a lot and will never use them. Scammers with hidden fees.

Misleading
January 31, 2019

My wife and I arrived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and needed to book a room in the Marriott Hotel in the Calgary Airport. We booked the rate and were told by the agent that we were getting a deep discount. It sounded good, so we made a reservation. We were making a reservation with a Canadian hotel in a Canadian airport. We were told the price and agreed to make the reservation. What we were not told is that we were being charged in US dollars. Imagine our surprise when we checked into our room and looked online to find we were being charged in US dollars despite the fact that we were booking from a Canadian airport to a Canadian hotel. The room cost us nearly $100. Canadian more because we were paying in US dollars. I contacted reservations.com and they told us because we were checked in the reservation was non refundable. We will never use this service again.

Reservations.com is tricky and fooling people just like this example- I tried to book a room in Sawridge in Jasper, Alberta from my home in Edmonton, Alberta. On the top google search I found - " sawridgeinnjasper.reservations.com". Any normal person would have an understanding that the search takes you to the hotel's website directly which i thought. So it took me to the site with Sawidge discounted room tarriffs are on its page. As soon as I selected the dates and rooms it took me to the ' Secure Checkout ' page. On the right side the amount is mentioned with added high taxes and fees. The left top will show you TIME LIMIT for your special offer in Flashy Fonts! So that you get diverted and finish your billing within that limited time. So I called them at the toll free number given online to confirm before paying and they said the same charges and i decided to pay. Later after visiting the Sawridge hotel itself, I came to know that the room charges are way less than what I paid. And reservations.com is a separate booking site and that RESERVATIONS.COM charged me in USD without my knowledge. No where in the website it is mentioned about the currency. Now I have being calling them but they have no answer than just to say, when i called they greeted saying "welcome to reservations, how may I help you? "Which is again tricky and explains that you are calling the reservations desk of that specific hotel.
Anyways they have no answer to why did they charge in USD or why didnt they inform while charging me and they are not willing to help get my remaining money back or atleast do something.
So please friends, be aware while booking anything and AVOID reservations.com!

RESERVATIONS.COM'S actual average star rating is 1 Star! The only reason it is not on this site is because of what appears to be bogus 5 star reviews with no details explaining why beyond superlatives, mostly in poor grammar and punctuation. Just read any of the 5 Star reviews and you will see what I am talking about.

RESERVATIONS.COM does not provide better rates than are available directly from the Hotel itself except you get the privilege of paying an additional $15 for use of their website. It was my fault for being in a hurry and not paying attention to the taxes and fees before checking out and then finding out that everything was non-refundable especially the fee even though it had only been 5 minutes and the rate I paid was a refundable rate from the actual hotel.
So do yourself a favor and make sure you start by checking what the rate is from the actual hotel website before going to any of these so called discount or best rate websites and always check the service fees and cancellation policies before you enter any payment information and pay these people. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Do not under any circumstances use RESERVATIONS.COM to book anything.

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, USE THIS SITE TO BOOK A RESERVATION! The associates are trained to mislead you into thinking you are speaking with the hotel and then tell you the reservation is non-refundable. When I asked if this was the hotel, the associate did not respond. When I realized the reservation was non-refundable, I asked the associate to wait and not enter the reservation until I had a chance to speak to the hotel. I heard the associate hit a computer key and then she stated it had already been entered. I asked to speak to a manager and was placed on hold. The manager said to discuss with the hotel and give them a call back. I tried to call back and could not get through. Get names of everyone while you are on the phone with them. Numerous BBB complaints. BEWARE - THIS IS A NOT AN ETHICAL SITE!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with the travel site. Ever! We purchased rooms at the Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire. We had the option to purchase rooms at the Bretton Arms, an inn owned by the resort a few minutes walk down the hill from the main hotel. But the end is very quiet. Even though it was less expensive, we opted to go where we always go and love to go, the Mount Washington Hotel. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool right on site. There is a game room for the kids. There is a candy store and a coffee shop and a toy store. We were going with several families and it was a birthday weekend. We decided to all celebrate together and get rooms at the main hotel so the kids would have a really good time. Instead, when I went to check in the front desk, they told me that my reservation was made at the end down the road. However my confirmation email from reservations.com said I was booked in the main hotel. After an hour on the phone with their very poor customer service, they told me it was a third-party error and there was nothing they could do. They did the same thing to the families we were traveling with. So we paid a lot of money. They charged my credit card. And it was a bait and switch. I have been writing to them and calling them demanding my money back. They sold me something specific and I paid for it. But when I got here, I did not get what I paid for. They literally ruined our vacation. The adults cannot hang out and send the kids to the game room. There's no game room here. The adults can't hang out and send the kids to the toy shop or to run up and down the stairs in the big grand Hotel. There's no grand staircase here. I am getting in touch with the Better Business Bureau and I have contacted my credit card company as well. I would never use this website again. This is the worst experience I've ever had with the travel site.

This company is a scam. I am furious and frustrated. I thought I was making a reservation through the hotel directly but I was mistaken. They charged my credit card immediately and I never got a confirmation number or an email from them. I went to the hotel and there was no record of my reservation. This company is a scam.
