AD Scam
August 13, 2019

Pay attention to who you book through, and it should never be this site. If you need to adjust a date they charge you the entire amount again. So i will pay for two weekends in a row, one that i do not need but I will not give them my money ever. My bad for being in a hurry but ZERO help from overseas operator.

This company is a SCAM. They don't care, and they pirate your well intentions of using a well know service like Hotels.com.

They have a non refundable $14.99, which they intent to get from you, and threaten to get your reservation payment too. I'm going to report to the State of Florida, and the BBB. Stay away

When I went to the hotel to check in the first thing they asked was if this was booked through Expedia because everything looked odd to them. I said No, I booked it through the hotel website. Or at least I thought it was the hotel website. The front desk had a big problem getting everything to go through so they just started from scratch and I finally got my room - at a cheaper rate ($40) by the way than what turned out to be the reservations.com rate. Later checking my credit card bill I'd been billed by the reservations.com as well as the hotel. I think reservations.com mimicked the hotel 's site and made it look like they were legitimate. And they charged me a $14.99 booking fee. Turns out they are some outfit in England. (Plus, I got charged a foreign transaction fee too!) Be careful making your reservations and make sure you're dealing with the real hotel. Next time I'm going to make my reservation by phone and try not to get swindled by this resevations.com outfit mimicking a legitimate business.

We used this service and noticed that we were in the wrong month when we booked our reservation so called them immediately and were told that this was a non- refundable reservation and they could not help us. There was absolutely not grace for an erroneous mistake. We will contest the credit card charge as this seems to be our only recourse. BEWARE if you should decide to use this service. We will never use them again and wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through what we went through... numerous phone calls, one to the manager, and all the same response. This is very poor and a major rip off!

August 9, 2019

Booked a rooms at a price of $306. Told it was non-refundable, to which I agreed.
Follows with e-mail confirmation with additional $64.00 in extra fees.
I have to pay fees or loose the $306.
Very clever thievery. Be warned!
Deal with hotel directly.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to sleep for one night. Ended up paying $195 for Econolodge because I was booked for two rooms because of Reservations.com screw-up. Tried to get refund--no luck!

Fraud
August 8, 2019

I never intended to use a 3rd party service to make a simple reservation. I thought I was calling the hotel when the operator said "reservation desk." They charged a significant amount to simply make the reservation.

I felt cheated and mislead. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I was searching for best rates at a specific hotel and Reservations.Com intercepted my transaction. They listed a fairly low room rate and I didn't notice the web link had changed to theirs. I booked, then noticed "no refund, no cancellation" and an incredible 25% Fee tacked on. Immediately called "Customer Service" and was told 'sorry, we are unable to assist'. Credit Card dispute filed immediately, but Reservations.com neglected the fraudulent fee and only sent copies of No Cancellation policy and that "Customer clicked on Book Now". Hope they go to jail and/or out of business.

Total scam... I booked a room on what I thought was the actual hotel site, they bury the cancellation rules under a link that looks like you are going to review the rooms. When you get your receipt and find out you are not able to cancel, they are additional "fees" added outside of the hotel fees. You try to reach customer service and they send you to Expedia. When filing a dispute with my credit card company, you finally get contacted by Expedia only for them to blackmail you into either cancelling with no intention on giving you a refund or to recharge your card. Stay as far away from this site as possible.

We used this website just the other day (Aug 3) as we were traveling from BC to AB and we were in desperate need of a hotel seeing how it was a long weekend. We were on hold for 25 minutes which was ok it is what it is, once we spoke to someone we gave him the hotel name he went to check if they had any pet rooms left, turns out the one we wanted was not available so he offered to check other hotels for us that would be comparable to the one we wanted. He said he found one, Super 8 pet friendly, and it was very similar to the one we were originally looking at, which had 2 queen beds, a pool, patios etc. it was a nice hotel. So we said sure if its similar to that one please book us in. He did so and it was $350 in price (which was not comparable to the $225 we were looking at) but again we were desperate. We arrive at this hotel and its the dumpiest hotel I've ever stayed at, rooms were atrocious, dirty, smelly, spilled rum in the nightstand and just left there, no pool, no patio and WORST service ever. Not only did reservations.com then charge me $15 for them booking the room (which were never informed of by the way) they got me a more expensive hotel that was NOT comparable in anyway what so ever! I will NEVER EVER EVER use these guys again. Just out to make money and not help people at all. Thanks for nothing and the worst hotel stay ever reservations.com

Fraud! Stay away!
August 5, 2019

Made a reservation through them, arrived at the hotel, there were no rooms available, so I wasn't able to check in. Reservations talked w the Front Desk Clerk, he confirmed that there are no rooms available, then Reservations cancelled my reservations. Over two weeks later I am still calling Reservations daily, and they refuse to refund my money. Had them call the hotel, which confirmed I never stayed there. Filed a complaint w the BBB since Reservations is fraudulently withholding my money. Every time I call they say that I will get the money back but nothing happens. Get involved w Reservations at your own risk. I will end up suing them most likely.

Fraud
August 5, 2019

I went to Reservations.com and booked a hotel near the airport. It was $192 for the night. The man told me that I could have free parking and a free ride to the airport the next day. I asked 3 times,"Are you sure?" This was very important to me. He kept saying yes, no problem. I asked more than once, because of his accent. I wanted to make sure he understood me. The hotel told me the next day, I would have had to go directly to them to get those services. I tried to cancel, because they had given me false information. Because of their policy, they would not give me my money back, even though they lied. I had to go direct and get another room, which was $50 cheaper. They are a rip off and deceptive!

Would not give us a refund even after the hotel it's self said it would but had to go through reservations.com... Then ask me to prove the death of my family member. Sick $#*! people! Beware Scammers
August 2, 2019

Deceptive check out fails to state non-refundable status of booking or hidden fees. Contacted with 10 mins. To cancel, provided screenshots demonstrating this deception and was told I have no recourse to cancel. The worst kind of deception. The care 0 about customer satisfaction.

DO NOT USE EVER!
August 2, 2019

I didn't do my researched and booked through reservations.com. I was told these were highly discounted rooms and that I was getting the best price. A friend suggested I call the hotel direct and check room rates, I did and was not happy. reservations.com was 30.00 a night more. When I called reservations.com I was told my reservation was nonrefundable and when I asked about getting a lower rate I was told that was not possible because their rooms are already at such a discounted rate. The Customer service rep was unfriendly and unwilling to listen to my complaint.

I booked a room at the Empire Hotel in NY and they sent me two reservation numbers, thus charging me twice. I called them and asked them to correct their mistake and they "had to look in to it." They said they called the Empire Hotel and they rejected the refund. I spoke with the manager at the Empire Hotel and she said they have never contacted them. She told me to tell them to contact her and she would approve the refund, which I have done 3 times, and still I get the same automated email response that they have contacted the hotel and they will not approve the refund. I called the manager again and Reservations.com has never even contacted them! I would NOT use reservations.com. And I have recently heard other stories from people who have used them and been scammed. Never again!

One of my associates ran into some travel issues and had to change hotels on the fly. He doesn't travel much so he used the first hotel reservation site he could find, "Reservations.com" He made the reservation and was able to check into the hotel, but the billing does not match the receipt from the hotel and they refuse to provide a receipt explaining the difference between what they charged and what value on the hotel receipt. He now has two charges on his corporate credit card that cannot be reconciled. The first is for $75.93 from "Travel Reservations US" for the hotel. There is a second charge from "Reservations.com" for their "service fee." The receipt he received from the hotel said the total cost of the room with tax was $62.23. I've never seen a travel site charge a 46% service fee for booking a room.

Horrible
August 1, 2019

My cousin tried to use this horrible service for a trip and when they tried to call the hotel they were booked at. It had been closed due to a fire. Not a present fire. A fire months ago. So they tried to get a refund and because of incompetence they missed the time line... my cousins cancelled in plenty of time and have the email proof. But the moronic person who had to do it on their end just didn't until 4 hours later... now no refund. So had to pay twice. Absolutely horrible. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I will keep posting this on Facebook. And will review on all the sites I can think of
