They are very attentive and really care about their customers! Their website is very informative and customer service is always available to help with your reservations.
Bottom line is I probably never would've had an issue if I didn't notice the fraudulent 14.99 "service fee" that this company tacked on as an additional charge to my card without warning and certainly without agreeing to. This caused me to call the physical hotel to see what their cost was, found out that the hotel was cheaper (with no hidden fees) so after a lot of professional complaining to the girl I talked to at this company I was able to get both the room and the non-refundable service fee refunded (or so she they told me, I haven't seen the money back in my account yet).
This is a scam rip off place in my opinion. I thought it was a red roof inn center- cant cancel so they got my money, I will never use again nor should you.
I booked through reservations.com for a 5 night hotel stay. My flight got canceled so I missed the first two nights of my stay. Ok, that's my problem. But when I got to the hotel on the 3 day they had no rooms available so I found another hotel. (I'm not to happy with the Ramada Inn in Bangor Maine either). I paid for a room that wasn't available.
Now I've been 5 days trying to get at least a portion of money back. So now I've called them 4 days in a row and just been told today it going to take 5-7 business day for them to review it for a refund. Just to review it? Huh? I plan to file a lack of service claim with my credit card company and see how that goes. And their customer service is very poor... and very off- shore so understanding them is difficult.
Lesson learned...
So after a week things worked out, The Ramarda was a stand up company and refunded my full stay without question and Reservation.com promptly refunded this to my credit card. It a few days of stress, but it worked out. But my lesson learned is to book directly through the hotels not a second tier agent. At least when you book directly with a hotel you only need to deal with one company and I think they become more responsible. I won't trash the Ramarda or Reservation.com; in the end they treated me right as much as a pain in the butt as it was.
This company provides the worst customer service I have ever seen. After getting a cancellation code from the hotel to get a full refund I still had to wait over a month to get my money back. I had to call over 8 times to make sure I was getting my money back because ever time I would call they would tell me call back in 24-48 hours to check on the status. This place is a joke and all they do is take your money and then tell you sorry we don't give refunds. They don't care about their customers they care about taking your money STAY AWAY!
Started off that the price for my room showed up as one price, then I was billed for a higher price. Then I could not get a receipt. I tried calling and got a phone number on a loop and could not get to talk to anyone. I finally tracked down another number and spoke with someone but after getting taken on the price, this just poured salt into an open wound. The room I booked was fine, just reservations.com is shady and not at all recommended.
Called to change room size and they were worthless. Couldn't help at all. Spent 30 min waiting for them to pick up phone and then they gave no help at all
Cancellation policy is pathetic. Advertise Canadian dollars but charge American. 15 dollar service fee? This company is a joke.
I was booking for a church group. Thought the site took me directly to the hotel. Needless to say - I booked the room and not even 10 minutes later I tried canceling the reservation and they would not refund any of the money. This is a scam and they have no business ethics. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING... My mistake, my lesson, and it cost me...
Booked a couple of rooms for business trip and 2 days later wanted to cancel because going through the hotel was cheaper. They would not reimburse ANY of the money (2300. 00!).
DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM!
I made a reservation for a hotel in the right city, but the wrong hotel location within that city. I called Reservations.com to see if they could help me just change the reservation to the correct hotel (again same hotel chain, just different location). They said I would have to cancel my first reservation first, which would incur a $15 fee as well as the first night's stay. What? I only made this reservation 10 hours ago, and the stay isn't for another month! It would cost me a total of $200 to cancel my reservation. Absolutely terrible policy!
This company is a scam! I needed to book while running the roads. Sometimes when trying to book from a phone and driving you don't pay close enough attention to the details. I inadvertently booked through this company. The dates I am booked for are July 19th and 20,2019. I found out today that my Friday event was cancelled and I called 24 hours in advance to be told my reservations were NON - cancellable and non refundable. All I wanted to do was cancel the Friday and keep the Saturday. I hope they are happy keeping the $170 just to drive a customer away for life who travels 100 nights a year. JUST AWFUL! AVOID THEM!
Scamming company with hidden fees, won't allow any changes even minutes after booking. Lied about having a manager promise to call me back. Posted duplicate 14.99 fees to my credit card as well as duplicate 401$ fees that I had to go through my credit card company to get reimbursed. Watch out for these thieving liars!
Scammed me for around $70 plus a hidden fee of $15. Customer service was absolutely no help. I'll pay the bill lesson learned.
Hidden fees they don't tell you about, no itemization of bill, no recourse after they scam you. Run, don't walk away.
I thought I was booking a hotel for $109/night but when I got the email confirmation, it was actually$168.59 ($35.94 in taxes & fees and a $14.99 service fee). I could have reserved it cheaper directly through the hotel. I immediately called customer service to try to cancel with no luck. The customer service was terrible. Never again.
Not to be trusted. Customer service not very friendly. If you can book thru your intended hotel - motel you'll be better off.
I just tried to change my one night reservation that is two weeks out to a date two weeks beyond that. Reservations.com would not make the change for me. The hotel was not able to help me. I wound up booking with the hotel at a price lower than what I paid here for the new night. I guess I'm losing this money unless my credit card can help. Services like this should not exist. They have on their site numbers and links for cancellation but you can't cancel! They also state that they follow hotel policy. That is not the hotel policy either! They would have accommodated me. I don't think hotels should work with these services. It reflects poorly on them too.
We were inquiring about a hotel in north Bakerfield (we need a pit stop on a road trip). We were redirected to a "comparable" hotel "nearby". It was NOT comparable to a suburban hotel near restaurants. IT WAS IN A DANGEROUS PART OF TOWN! Police were responding to a break in of a car when we arrived. And the room was gross - moldy tile in the bathroom!
I made a reservation several weeks ago for one night. I did understand that if I cancelled it was non refundable. With only one week before the reservation something unexpected came up and I needed to change the reservation day to one day sooner: I was not cancelling or asking for a refund. Being that it was only one night it shouldn't have been a problem, but was I wrong! The person told me that It was also non-modifiable which she said was listed somewhere else on a link or something. I never saw that. The real slap in the face was that my husband just called the hotel and got the same room for the date we needed at the same cost less the fee they charge! These people are terrible and everyone needs to stay away from these scammers. I have used Booking.com before and never had any issues like this.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
