My listing did not display in their system but showed on other home search sites with no problem. Customer service gave me standard reasons which weee not valid for my situation and did nothing to try to solve my problem
I contacted realtor.com to correct information they had for my property. They listed my home as a mobile and put a picture from years ago with weeds overgrown and had my value 250,000 less than the other sites, Zillow, Etc. 500,000 less than MOVTO. My house is actually a high end modular built to conventional codes. The county won't allow mobiles in my area. They told me they couldn't change my info and if I didn't like it they would erase my home from their site. Now my home is listed as raw land.
Is this unethical treatment? I can't believe it and have no way to hold them accountable.
50% of leads realtor.com sent (22 out of 44) were people inquiring about homes not listed on the MLS, most were for mobile homes below $50,000, so there was really nothing I could do with them. Realtor.com wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation. Over $2000 wasted- if you want to buy good leads, go somewhere else.
The site gives a ballpark figure of property value & it's not even close to real appraisal they overpriced, there's no housing shortage they make this stuff up as they go. I'm a cash buyer searching since March and all I see is overpriced junk looking for a mark and allow realtors to post false prices. I know you can charge whatever but your estimator should be close to actual real life value. Your misleading and fraudulent
I had a horrible realtor, I had to be in constant contact with the seller and the bank because he wouldn't do anything. Then when we closed he recommended an unlicensed crook to unstable a new roof. Realtor.com will not post negative reviews, which is detrimental to their customers.
I found a realtor through realtor.com, and she informed me of the buyers cash back program. I called and made sure that I qualified, and was assured that I would receive the cash back. After closing, I was told that I did not qualify because I clicked that I was interested in a house more than two years ago. I never got connected to an agent at that time, nor did I see that house. I got connected to my agent And started looking for a home ten months before purchase! I spoke to a manager and was told there is nothing they could do and that I was out of luck. Even worse, they took the buyers' cash back from my agent's commission. What a scam!
They will take your money so quick and if you have any issues understand that you are in no way a priority!
As you can see in the photo of their website, the program works by 1)CALL realtor.com and explain what you're looking for and being referred to a realtor - CHECK - 2) find a property with that realtor - CHECK - and 3) After closing, instructions will be mailed on how to collect the cash back.
I followed steps 1 and 2 and when I contacted them about step 3, I was told I could not collect cash back. Apparently, they say I should have clicked on a link (not CALL as described on their website) and filled out an application that should have been sent to me. We both agree no application was sent to me. There was no way for me to know that was required in addition to the information I gave them.
So, now I'm not receiving the $1,000+ cash back that I was told earlier I could receive. This is a dishonest practice. One star because I couldn't give a rating of zero. BEWARE!
We went through all the trouble, hassle and aggravation of the "pre-approval" process and was even approved. But because we wanted a simple home with a country setting and a poor man's budget we couldn't get a home. They wanted us to go in debt (literally) for a 100,000$ home and because we turned it down they turned us down. So my advise to anyone looking to buy a home. Check your own credit score (it's free) and go to a lender so you can buy the home YOU WANT and pay the bank back cause realtor.com isn't going to put you in anything that you can afford because then they don't have a chance of foreclosing on the house and reselling it at the same high price to the next person that cannot afford it. That's how realtors get you. They go way above your budget. Because that's almost a guarantee of foreclosure for them and then they resell again.
I will never do business or recommend this realtor in this lifetime or the next. He is unprofessional, moody, disrespectful. He was extrmely difficult to work with, selfish and never put the needs of the client first. He made me loose money yelled at me and disrespected my loan officer and he team. He tried to degrade me with his arrogance. I don't know how he is still in this line of business and never been reported or how he has managed to maintain his license. Please if you ever come across this individual or anyone is oblivious to his poor job ethic and refers him to you, Run away while you can. Don't believe his lies or allow him to entangle you with his nonsense. Working with this person was the worst experience of my life and I'm thankful that is all over. My first time bying a home was very traumatic thanks to him. I hope it will never happen to you.
Predatory company. I tried to see a property that was listed on their site. I immediately started getting multiple calls from them per day, even after I told them I'm no longer interested. Plus they gave my info to a mortgage company that also won't stop calling. Never ever give them your contact info.
I will never work with realtor.com again. I was charged after my subscription had ended! Horrible!
REALTOR.COM IS A NATIONWIDE SCAM! THEY ARE A PATHETIC JOKE! DON'T LOG ON AND DON'T REGISTER WITH THIS LEACH TYPE OUTFIT!~ THEY LET THE LOCAL BROKER DO ALL THE LONG HARD WORK, WHILE REALTOR DOT COM ONLY CARES ABOUT GETTING A PIECE OF COMMISSION WITH THE ACTUAL BROKER DOING ALL THE WORK! WE LEARNED THE HARD WAY THAT ANY R. E. BROKER WILL WORK MUCH HARDER FOR YOU IF THIS LEACH OUTFIT IS NOT PART OF ANY DEAL! DONT BE A FOOL! STAY FAR AWAY FROM REALTOR DOT COM
On multiple occasions, I have discovered listing addresses that cannot be found by Mapquest or Google Maps. Realtor.com blames this on MLS.
MLS WANTS to sell the house; why would they bogus the address?
You will NEVER get a human that speaks English in their own home. You'll get some Indonesian that lives in Egypt. It's PATHETIC they won't hire AMERICANS to do their calls! So you can't understand anything they say!
I WAS a realtor until 1994 and know what it means to be a good one. This listing agent(s) doesn't return calls, sometimes for days, took over 24 hours to present an offer to a seller, which was mere minutes before the offer expired. HORRIBLE communication to the buyer's agent. "Forgot" inspection deadlines and remedy period that SHE had helped the seller put into a counter offer, and did NOTHING to help facilitate inspections, ultimately losing the seller a pre-qualified buyer. She did NOTHING to educate her seller about the process and what they needed to do and what to expect. There was information that should have been verified at the time of the listing, but wasn't, causing innumerable delays. Apparently this is a sister-team of realtors. In my opinion, this is a part-time agent who thought it would be a lark to get a r. E. license and collect commissions without ever actually doing any work. IMO they give this entire brokerage a bad name.
I've purchased shared leads before as well as exclusive and I notified them this time around the leads are not real, they're fake. I think they are scamming agents and selling more & more by using fake accounts. When you try and cancel they tell explain you have to buy out your contract. It's a win/win for them and a lost for you. And to top it off, the customer service rep joked at how I purchased the leads online which put me at a disadvantage as opposed to calling them directly. They are not transparent, they are not about quality leads and they don't care about the customers experience.
I was looking for my own information listed for the home I bought. After looking up my house that I own. Noticed this site has complete an utter mis information. Nothing is correct. At least 10 years old. I wouldn't trust them with any information with any sale of home.
And dont give them private information. I would consider this company or site scammed fraud in home owners. Buyer beware!
Peter Myrlak a Realtor in Edmonton Alberta was the most unprofessional and rude person.
At first to get our business he was very friendly. That all changed and I would avoid this person.
Agent Michelle fuller of Baltimore md was very unprofessional don't respond to texts doesn't get back to u in a timely manner if u wana make an offer doesn't make the offer
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
