When I signed up for Realtor.com leads in August of 2016 for ZIP *******, my rep guaranteed me a minimum of 44-48 leads over the course of a year. He stated that Realtor.com would prorate and give me a refund for any leads under the minimum. Over the course of the year, I got leads with fake names and duplicate leads. At the end of the year, my account was going to auto-renew. I expressly told the rep I did not want my account to auto renew because I had not gotten the minimum number of leads promised. So the rep stated that he would add a month to the end of my contract period, and delay the auto-renewal until after I had gotten the minimum leads promised. But instead Realtor.com auto-renewed my account anyway!
When I called to complain, they stated that there is nothing they can do to prevent the account from auto-renewing! Also, they said they could see that even after the free month, I had still only gotten 36 of the 44-48 "guaranteed" leads. They said they had changed their policy since I had signed a contract with them in 2016, and that now their new policy is that if they think the number of leads that you got is "close enough", then no refund is given for ANY leads under the minimum promised. So even tho they required that I pay UPFRONT for a minimum of 44-48 leads, they can shaft Realtors because they "changed their policy" since I signed up with them. What a racket!
My review is in regards to Realtor.com's agent lead program. They make it sounds fantastic, but it's TERRIBLE. Not one single lead I received turned into business. I only actually physically spoke to lead they sent twice, and they didn't even realize what they had been inquiring about. With that being said, their site in general is misleading. The Realtor.com rep that suckered me in was Eric Schmitz. He never informed me of a contract. I had already agreed to give it a try, and provided my credit card information when I received the email with the terms... 1 YEAR CONTRACT! Then, he lied about the fee amount of the zip codes I had purchased. The fees ended up being double what I had agreed to every month. FINALLY after calling multiple times, sending emails and speaking to Eric's supervisor... they agreed to let me out of the contract at 6 months, and threatened to report me to the credit bureau if I stopped payment on my credit card. Wow, thanks...$2800 later and not one single closure from this JOKE of a program. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS, IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.
I tried to cancel my lead subscription with these jokers. Spoke with a guy named * very rude and told me I could not cancel he could only offer me a buy out on my contract for $350. What contract didn't sign a contract? They take $112 out of my bank account each month w/out my permission. By far the rudest customer service ever. I will spread the word to never use Realtor.com. I received leads that were unqualufied or recycled. They have no updated SEO to get good qualified leads for Realtors it's a huge rip off and waste of money. Donot pay this company for leads go to zillow much better and much nicer customer service reps.

90% of leads are worthless and or set ups for Con Artists using the system for Fraud. If there are any real buyers, and im sure there are some, they will be immediately turned off when they have 6 different agents calling, texting, emailing like a pack of desperate homeless bums, you can kiss even that small percent goodbye. If i were spending 100 a month maybe its worth it, but anything over that is like burning your cash... literally!
Do your self a favor & do not buy any zip code leads. Who ever the sales agent is, they speak with only the intent that puts money in their pockets. Getting out of any so called agreement is very hard to do! Hope some good attorney picks up on this!
Deceptive business practices these guys are 1 step short of organized crime their managers are rude and terrible service overall hard to get a hold of etc...
I am a realtor proposing to advertise on Realtor.com. After talking with 2 sales rep., I changed my mind.
They were both rude to me and acted like they were annoyed about me asking how my $1000 monthly advertising would bill would be spent.
I don't think highly of Realtor.com due to their erragence and rude reps. I don't recommend using them as a source to get leads as a realtor. They are horrible to work with.
I was introduced to a realtor by the name of Isata conteh by her cousin who happened to be a very close friend of mine. We agreed that based on the price of the home I was buying, she would give me $4000 from her almost $******* commission. After a month of living in the new home, I reached out to ask about the agreed money. Expecting to get a check, instead she told me she wouldn't pay me and asked me to do my worst. I felt both sorry for her because she obviously needed the money more than I did and felt very stupid for trusting a realtor that probably had never sold a house in her career to handle a house of that price. Bottom line, learn from my mistake and get everything in writing, or better yet, don't trust Isata Conteh to deliver on a verbal agreement... just my opinion
The leads are very expensive and prospective clients don't pick up my calls or respond to emails - I think they are bogus all together. No telling how many agents get the leads even though they tell you either none other or just one other. I have switched zip codes and lead generation just got worse. FED UP with this nonsense and will try to opt out/cancel tomorrow! Suggest everyone do the same!
I, too, paid quite a sum for local leads. They did not send the number of leads promised and when those leads did come in, they were either "under contract" leads or leads in a total different state. Give me a break. I called them several times regarding my discontent with what was being sent and was told that they would look over my account AFTER the contract had expired. Don't both with this company.
Shawn Schwartz of Windermere Real Estate in Kennewick was really great. I was a first time home buyer and she was so helpful. She walked me through each step and explained everything. She always responded right away to all my calls and concerns.
She made home buying a good experience. I would recommend Shawn to anyone wanting to buy or sell a home.
Paid tons of money for local listing leads and not only did they not give me the number they claimed they would but most they sent me were already under contract... Did not get one valid lead! And they claimed the phone number are verified--- not true! A total waste of money!
Most of the leads I got either already had an agent or did not want your help and did not answer or told you as much. You only get credit for leads that are really other agents. They make you pay based on an estimated number of projected leads which they never deliver. So, previous contract I played for a lower number of projected leads, did not get them and then oddly enough even though I did not get that many previous year projections I had to pay for higher projections the following year which I again did not get that many. They will do some calculations around the end of the contract, but watch out. The first year, I did get some reductions and because of that signed up for a new contract. They put me off 3 times towards the end of this contract. Finally, after they made sure to get end of contract period payments and no more leads to lay claim to, they are trying to tell me the credits I got, which were for the former contract, are for this one because the reductions were in the months of this contract. But, the months overlap because they won't give you any credits till the end and they don't refund, they take it off future payments!. I think this is intentional to be able to try to promise good and then pull this stunt. So, they are trying to get away with just getting me to take what they say for granted and not fight this! Now, FYI, I think in 2 years of about $211 month, I have had one lead close! I am in an area where most sales are under $250,000. You do the math. Just an update, they are now honoring a partial refund based on the lack of leads now, but I had to really fight for it and get past them trying to mislead me to thinking a I had already received more than enough compensation. Plus, I still spent a lot of money and not much results for the money. For a buyer, they love the site and do use it. I just think most of those already have agents or are not ready yet. I know that many of my own buyers send me copies of a house they found on the site.
If you are a Real Estate agent I would like to caution you about purchasing a lead generation purchased through Realtor.com. I have been involved for four months and the great majority of leads are from other Realtors inquiring for out of town clients. The last straw... an inquiry for a rental. This is bad for the overall brand that I represent. Shame on you Realtor.com!
In this era how could you perpetrate such poor taste in your marketing. Why would anyone want to make someone feel bad and then gloat over it. This commercial is worse than Kylie Jenner Pepsi ad. We told our real estate agent to not use real estate.com when listing our home.
Best app available for home searching but I wish they would add more search features such as "no pool" and "master on the main". I wish they would require that sellers put the HOA fees in the listings. I
Also experience issues getting updates when new homes come on the market or the price changes but it is still better than other apps.
Selling buyer leads of cheap land parcels instead of leads for home buyers. 4 of the last 5 leads were for land.
Stay clear of REALTOR.com lead buying. Wish I could give them zero stars or a negative number of stars.
Tamara Nicholson was the best realtor we have ever worked with. She spent over three hours with us on our first meeting before we even signed on with her. She was available 24/7 and went out of her way to make selling our home a pleasant experience. Tamara provided us with continual feedback and sold our house in a timely manner. She is professional, conscientious and compassionate. I highly recommend her services to everyone I meet.
Realtor - STAY AWAY or two your hard earned money away to a worthless service
Hold you to there contract even to all the leads are horrible. I good lead were complimentary but the were 100's of miles away. I got more realtor that had replied than actual buyers and seller. Tried to cancel they have called to to stop me. I stuck until October 2017.
It a rip-off you only get maybe 4 bad bad bad referrals that was give to 2-3 other realtor at $70-80 each. If I had at least one good referral I would maybe say it was a total loss to be stuck in this 12 month contract.
Sign at your own risk, she uses a contract that you can not fire her without paying her the whole commission for not selling your house. Promises the world but can not deliver! Over prices your house to get the listing then beats you down 15-20%. Read everything before you sign anything with her or her husband. So if you do not mind getting less than market value and waiting 2-3 months longer she is perfect for you!
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
