Hello all - I ran into this condensing broker while searching for a new Condo. Joann Aronson's lack of knowledge about the actual condo and the neighborhood was clear from the first time I met her. She works in the Smithtown NY area. I was very interested in the Condo she was showing but didn't make an offer because of her negative attitude and lack of business etiquette. Truth be told, I didn't trust her. Buyer and seller beware
I just purchased my first home and couldn't have done it without the help of Jeremiah Parker. He is honest and kind and goes above and beyond to make the whole process go smoothly. I would Highly recommend him if you are looking for a realtor who is caring and truly listens to the desires and needs of his clients
I started in a zip I did not want since I was told the ones I wanted to market were "full". When my preferred zip codes became "available" I told them I wanted my money MOVED to those zip codes. They ADDED MORE zip codes giving me a $1400 per month bill. If anyone is planning on taking action, add my name. They need to be stopped. They helped themselves to my credit card and it was a nightmare. Fighting them!
Realtor.com was once the best consumer-friendly RE site, when they offered a 'Hide Pending/Contingent' filter button on their PC-friendly website; but that filter is now gone, putting Realtor.com in the same category as their competition websites. I never visited Zillow or Redfin, just because that feature was lacking on those sites (and still is). To Realtor.com's credit, the filter still does exist on the MAC iOS version of the app (Apple probably required its inclusion on the iPhone app).
When looking for available properties, who wants to waste time with Pending/Contingent listings? My message to Realtor.com: don't wait until the next market crash to bring back the 'Hide Pending/Contingent' filter, do it now.
I can tell you I get leads that I contact within minutes NO answer back. Send me a wife then the husband about the same lot for $10,000. MOSTLY LOTS under $20,000. The leads are so mixed that they can not be people looking. This is a made up scam to meet their said quota per month.
We signed up for 2 zips 80 to 160 leads, $1400 per month, ( the payment is per months, the lead count for the year- ripoff). After I signed the contract I realized I signed up for one year. Also, after I signed the contract the lead count was for the whole year, that's a joke. To make matters worse, after 30 days we got 2 leads, one was a real estate agent and the other person was a $16k condo. If your lead system is any good you would not require a 1-year contract and leads are normally calculated by month, not the year.
Realtor.com is a terrible co to do business with, When they signed me up they said that I would be on a month to month contract and I could cancel at any time. Shortly after I paid I received an email telling me that I was on a year contract and there was no cancellation options. They did have a 3 day opt out. I opted out with in the 3 days and it's been over a moth and they have not given me a refund. The leads that the sent for the 2 days were junk leads! Don't do Business with this deceptive company!
2013, contacted him to look at homes in Camelot Village and surrounding area to buy as an investment property and later residence. I told the agent that I'm not sure if I can qualify for a mortgage because I am self employed in NY and only recently started reporting more income on my tax forms. He told me that don't worry we will work it out if that happens. When I was turned down by the bank, he told me that I would have to forfeit the deposit because I signed a contract. He should have put a clause "subject to mortgage approval". He did not and I am out $10,000.00.
I placed this review on another Realtor site and he replied, calling me a liar because he never had a mortgage turned down in 20 years. He also suggested that I am a competitor and I am trying to damage his reputation, not at all true. I am a hard working Landscaper living in NY and was bilked out of this money by Ed Marks.
Scam & Fraud. The lower level people who "sell" you may be innocent - but once you give them credit card info without demanding a written contract of EXACTLY how many leads they are going to provide - you are toast. They never do what they SAY they will do - get it in writing. Other agents have the same complaint. Contact State Attorney General's office for fraud complaints, There should be a class action law suit against them. Sadly NAR has sold off the Realtor.com site to these scammers.
I recently came on with Realtor.com as an advertising agent. I was having problems with my account and called Russell Kellock who was the realtor.com rep or account executive who assisted me with the sign up. At the time of sign up everything was unicorns and rainbows, he was kind and answered all questions I had. However, when I was not satisfied with the service and called to ask how to terminate my subscription Russell Kellock was beyond unprofessional he was very combative with me and ultimately did not assist me with the reason for the call. He over spoke me and raised his voice repeating that my contract was "not cancel-able". He told me that business didn't work that way, that contracts couldn't be cancelled whenever the buyer wanted out ant that I was ridiculous for trying to cancel. I told him that I understand business and that I was calling in to see what steps I needed to take per their policy to end my subscription. Instead of answering that very simple question, He went on and on repeating that it was not cancel-able. I told him I did not understand why he was being combative with me and that this was the first time I felt like I was being yelled out in a customer service setting "I am not in customer service, I am in Sales!" Russell Kellock responded to me. I told him that sales and customer service go hand in hand, which he disagreed. I can honestly say as a professional in the field of real estate that I cannot and will not in good faith recommend Realtor.com products to anyone knowing that the customer is not a priority to the consumer. They will rope you in with false advertising and then try to belittle you for be dissatisfied with a sub par product.
As an realtor, I thought OK lead generation could be one of my ways to gain extra leads. I spent $2268. 00 for the year. It ended Jan 23rd 2018. It was not the most positive experience; actually it was terrible. Double leads, phone numbers that didn't work or tied with the client, or emails that went to cyber space. They said to me to remind them and for me to keep track of the and they will correct them. They did not. I love the fact that I told them that I didn't want to sign up and still they billed my credit card after I told them NO before the deadline date. But still they charged... BE FOREWARNED DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
They lie! It's just that simple. They tell you one thing and then do another. "Exclusive" is the exact word that was used when I purchased leads from a zip code. "Nobody else" will get leads from that zip code is what I was told. Then, several times now, when I get a lead alert and call the lead, they have already been contacted by anther Realtor. The bad thing, I probably would have signed up anyway, but I HATE doing business with a company that is not forthcoming and ethical. These people are not!
Realtor.com has a great manager spoke to Alexander and he was very compassionate about my concerns I can tell he is a family man as well quick to handle everything smoothly can't imagine why the bad reviews but there's always lower class realtors out there keep out the bad seeds!
I was promised one zip code for a lower price and they signed me up for another zip code at a higher price. I called to question this and was bounced around from person to person, no one was authorized to cancel my account. They hounded and hounded me to give them a chance and when I finally did it was a disaster. They are the worst
I called and spoke to Alex letting him know I was dissatisfied with Buyer Connections and wanted a refund. I had paid in full for a year. My mistake! He said I was unable to get a refund. I then filed a complaint with the FCC. Stay away from REALTOR.com lead program. Promises not kept!
This service is a joke! I was a brand new agent and when I received a call from Realtor.com, It all sounded great. They asked my zip code and zip codes I would like to receive leads in. Instead I receive leads that are not in my zip code or the zip codes I requested. Also, I keep receiving leads on the same properties over and over again. None which are worth my time because of distance and potential pay off from the sale. When I called to talk to them about canceling, I was told there was nothing they could do and I still need to pay $168 a month, for a service that is worthless, for another 9 months. When I asked so your telling me I have to pay approximately $1512 for a service I can not use. The response was, "You can call back at the end of the 9 months (after I have paid $1512 for nothing) and let realtor.com why you are unhappy with the service a they might give you a credit." Seriously! Well thank you for your amazing service and concern Realtor.com! On to the next naive and gullible agent... Bravo! You have built a business on crappy costumer service and unhappy customers.
I received half the number leads they "guaranteed", and contact rate was very low with the leads that I did receive. Here's the breakdown: I was guaranteed 40 shared leads, I received 20. I was able to make contact with 7. Out those 7, I converted one to a buyer and eventually a closing. I broke even. They then said they'd give me another zip code for 6 mos to make up for the lack of leads they, I never received ONE lead from from that zip code that I wasn't able to make contact with.
Before you sign up DON"T JOIN! You're committed 1 year MINIMUM. Year contract costed me $10k. I ddin't know this... sales rep told me it was month to month. Then i tried to cancel 4 months later and they told me I was locked into a year contract! I DIDN"T SIGN ANYTHING! They said that by giving my credit card, I implied consent. DEFINITELY REPORTING TO BETTER BUSINESS BUEREU. I thought leads were going to be good. BAD leads 7 months and not ONE appointment. (this is when i tried to cancel). I was only getting average 4 bad leads a month.
IF youre thinking about it, i hope you read this review and/or read other. I wish i did. NOT GOOD ROI. www.zillow.com/profile/watgary. I'm a REAL realtor with a real review. Don't do it!
Don't believe anything their sales reps tell you. I told them I'd try their leads for one month and promised there was no long term contract. Bottom line they lied. I got out of it because I told them I didn't agree to a year and I had an email for proof. Liars and cheats all the way around... don't fall for their lies.
Terrible quality leads, flat out lies and misrepresentation. Horrible service in 2017 made our team not renew our contract and zip codes with them. Ive told hundreds of agents not to sign up for Realtor and instead switch to Zillow.
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
