The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

Although you can get great deals, they usually come with a catch like construction being done at the hotel etc.
The worst problems we've had is the higher rated hotels don't have amenities like free breakfast or internet, but the lower ones have a chance of not being the nicest.
I really wish they had amenity choices with the name your own price.
I am so sick of places like this that offer so called specials, only to rip them away at the last minute and push crap at twice the price down your throat. These bait and switch tactics are just begging someone to make an example of them! I just hope it gets reported as much as the crap with the schools so everyone learns a lesson.
One of my friend recommended priceline for hotel service. I availed hotel services which were extremely amazing. They staff is very professional and they answer what we ask.
I have used them to bid on rental cars dozens of times and they always seem to get incredible deals. The bidding process can be drawn out, but the savings is worth wile.
I was shopping travel packages (hotel, air and car) today, October 22nd, 2015 for a six day trip from Newark, NJ (EWR) to Honolulu (HNL). I selected my package that included: Nonstop flights on Hawaiian Airline, Outrigger Reef Hotel & a midsize car from Avis Car Rental. I also added the trip protection plan@$53.00. The package total was $2288. 39 which included the $30.00 per day hotel fee, taxes and other charges. As I was checking out, I noticed my airport changed from EWR to JFK. Luckily I caught it. So I went back and changed departing city to EWR went through the entire process of checking out again, I double checked the departure airport was EWR and clicked the "Purchase" button. I waited for the reservation to process. It did not give me the itinerary but instead a message that read: Here is your "Trip Number" please check back for itinerary. When I checked back, I was shocked to see that Priceline.com changed my departing City AGAIN to JFK. I called, explained what happened to the CS Rep. Who said, no problem, I can help you with that. Then he processed to tell me to cancel my flight only and to re-book. Otherwise there would be a charge to cancel the hotel & car. I said, but that would increase my travel price because it is no longer a package. He said that was all they could do, os I asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to the CS lead who told me the same thing. I then asked to speak with her manager and was told, "There is no one else you can talk to. All you can do is take down the business address and write a formal complaint." Of course, I am not the least be happy about this! Big Corporations just ripping people off left and right with no regard for their customers whatsoever. Now I am out of pocket $2300. 00 for travel that I cannot use. I will have to go back and book travel with another company at a higher rate because travel increases by the minute. Berma at Priceline Corp offices contacted me. She said that because New York has several airports, their system chose a different one, and that there is nothing they could do. Too bad so sad for Priceline's consumers!
Last week i hire their car service. That's meet my expectations. But they should think about price. I hope they will definitely think about this.
I tried the name you own price deal because of their ads saying that SAVE UP TO 60% ON HOTEL... I PUT $80 ON THE BIDDING PRICE, AND ALL I GOT $48 / NITE $#*!TY TYPE OF HOTEL.
I complained about it, called the customer service and they said they can't do anything except refunding me the difference. WHATTT?!
If I don't mind to stay in that kind of hotel, I would have put $25 for the bidding price.
And the worst things is. The customer service doesn't even feel like they care enough to try to resolve this problem futhermore and just hang up on me.
I totally understand about name your own price non refundable policy. But at the same time I feel that they don't hold up their end of the bargain by giving us a lower price hotel. TOTALLY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ( up to 60% off on hotel... get 3 star hotel for 2 star hotel price and so on)
Stay away from Priceline and their express deals for hotel rooms. Their goal is to confuse you, misrepresent the rooms and keep you in the dark about the hotel you are going to be staying in until you are locked into paying them. And you ARE locked in. Don't do business with a company that rips off their customers or you may be next. Take your business to their competitors who don't operate this way.
You are actually booking through Booking.com when you bid on Priceline.com, so after the purchase any support you need comes from them. That's not necessarily a bad thing but when I was on the road and made a reservation through my iPhone, it didn't show as confirmed, even though the system bills your credit card immediately for the full amount.
When I called Priceline they said sorry, we can't do anything and gave me the number for Booking.com. The CSR who answered my call said she didn't know what I should do or if my reservation had gone through, she couldn't see it in her system. So I should check with my credit card company and see what they said. That's a LOT of hassle when you're on a highway in a car, or anywhere for that matter.
The reservation did go through, it just didn't show in their system. I called the hotel I had bid on and thankfully, they had the reservation as confirmed. But, Priceline and Booking need to get their act together. It got to be too much trouble and don't use Priceline anymore.
Incidentally i hired the service of priceline for car. But they provided me car on low rent as compared to others. I had better experience here. I will definitely come for more time.
Priceline never disappointed me ever. This is reason why i love it's services.
I love getting hotels from Priceline very affordable n very good hotels, Hotwire doesn't sometimes give good ones
Good evening,
I completed a priceline bid this evening for a 3 1/2 star hotel in the Downtown Minneapolis or U of M Minneapolis area. However, my reservation confirmed at hotel in the Midtown area. I am very disappointed and scared that this is not near either downtown nor the University, nor should this hotel be considered a 3 1/2 star hotel. My biggest concern is this is a very dangerous part of the city, known for high crime and drug issues. Additionally, a woman was in the news this past week because she was shot and killed a block away from the hotel waiting for a bus. I have talked to several employees within the organization that have stated there is nothing that can be done and I am stuck with this hotel.
I just don't understand how a multi million dollar corporation stands on a we don't do right by the customer attitude.
This place is a hidden gem in the woods! The picture on their main page does not do this motel justice - the front of the motel and MANY MANY updates have been made since the new owners bought it in June 2015.We booked a cabin and it was so adorable and the bed was extremely comfortable (I have major back problems). Having a kitchenette was a great plus too. It was just the right size for my husband and I. It had vintage charm plus newer amenities. I could have stayed a week or more and we are already planning to come back in the spring - I'll be asking for the Bear Den again! It was also VERY quiet whereas most of the other motels along that route had people with quads and big noisy trucks at them. There are 2 beautiful lakes just across the street and also a very nice restaurant in front of the lakes. Lots of places to walk or hike nearby. I highly recommend this place to anyone that likes quaintness, the outdoors and great prices! The owner called up on our phone to let us know where to find the key, etc since we were going to be late checking in - you don't get personal details like this at the chain motels! Thank you for a wonderful weekend away Lori!
I tried very first time priceline for car renting. And i had an awesome experience. Because of this i had amazing date. Love you priceline.com
When i was ordering on priceline, i was expecting that they will delay my order and quality will also cheap. But I had amazing experience here. They deliver my order before the dead line and quality is better than other online services.
The website is beyond garbage, over 50% of the 'deals' are expired or were probably fake to begin with. Just click-bait. Then when you find something that's real that works for you, you book it and then someone calls up saying oh this is booked out and you have to pay us $200 now over the phone or you will lose the booking. The extra star is for the out. Had them cancel it altogether and went on Kayak~
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
