The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

Horrible customer service. I was heading to my nephews wedding when I received a call telling me the brides parents have covid. I called the airline (which I booked through American Airlines website) and explained the situation. No problems. They refunded my points and money. I wasn't even looking for that. I was looking just to postpone until January. I called Priceline and they said the usual "nothing we can do, it's the rental car agency not us" BS! I called Budget and they said they would refund the complete cost but Priceline has to cancel the reservation. Priceline refuses to cancel the reservation so I'm stuck paying for a car I won't be using! I will NEVER use those thieves again!
The incident happened in Hebron, IN. The Priceline price was good until they added on a bunch of taxes and fees. I understand making a profit because I was in business for myself! That said, they should have given us the option of going to another place or getting a lower price.
They just want your money. They don't care about the customer. I had a car reservation for nu car rental which was closed by the time my flight actually got in and they said I used my reservation which I did not. So no refund and I had to go threw enterprise. At least enterprise was dependable
Don't use Priceline. They booked us to use fox rental car.
Don't rent from them. This is a scam. The advertised price was $236 BUT when I returned the car they charged me $655. The total should only have been $290 total. They charged me for pre-pay gas even though I had filled up the tank and said it was nonrefundable. They put a bunch of charges on there and acronyms so you don't know what you're being charge for. I emailed them for a summary and got nothing. Priceline never helped us try to get an itemized bill from the car company either. If they're the ones booking the reservation and they should have some responsibility on helping us get an itemized bill for erroneous charges.
Booked a car and hotel 5 days ago. Was exposed to to Covid19 and needed to cancel my reservations. Although in large print on the confirmation it says "Cancel your hotel" - "Cancel your rental car" below each reservation, when you try to click on the cancel button you are told they are non-cancellable. Yes, on page two of the confirmation it says, in much smaller print, that they are non-refundable, but I believe it is deceptive to show as cancelable and then later in a less conspicuous state the contrary, In fairness they were able to cancel the hotel, but was charged a cancellation fee for Dollar rental car. Priceline again Priceline and Dollar have seen the last of my business.
I booked a room in NJ for the wrong weekend. I realized it in 5 minutes and contacted Priceline to change the date. They told me they couldn't change the date and they would cancel my reservation and refund my money. I then booked the same room for the right weekend. I am still waiting for my refund 8 days later!
I booked a trip for a funeral of a family member. The dates I selected changed automatic for the wrong dates and it was impossible to reach an agent because it just directs you to Spirit airlines which hang for 20 min and hung up on me three times. My sister got covid and cancelled her ticket which cancelled the entire booking not just her ticket. The insurance you pay for is a crock of crap. It covers only a portion of "pre-exsisting" conditions. Almost $500 lost completely from booking with priceline/spirit. Both are garbage.
You're lucky the app doesnt give the option for 0 stars. Boyfriend paid for rental car, all his info was in there, except somehow my name was primary driver. We called to simply switch the names. This turned into an enormous issue. Senior representative Andrea told me that only the primary driver can make changes (which was supposedly me when it shouldnt have been) yet they refused to simply switch the names when they could CLEARLY see that HIS information was in there. Misinformation and misleading me all the while. Neither the rental car company or priceline would simply change the name, but it all falls back to priceline since they're the ones in charge. Shout out to supervisor Olivia for cutting me off and raising her voice at me nearly the whole call when I asked her all my questions about them misleading us. Forced us to have to pay for an extra $330 for a new car and NOT EVEN USE the one we paid for through priceline all because they wouldnt just change the name. Bravo to your rude staff and for screwing us out of our money. Never again will we and so many other people I've seen here ever use your service again. If I could take down your company I would for this $#*!ery. Congratulations.
Priceline has over 500 1 star reviews on consumer affair website. I lost over $700.00. Due to pricline booking me and my family on nonexistent flight on spirit who also would not help us because we went thru Pricline. Never again buyer beware I relate it to my experience ordering clothes online from hidden Chinese websites..
Forget this company. I booked a car through Auto Slash (I think they must somehow be affiliated with Priceline) which then went through Priceline to Hertz. The total with tax and fees was $475.63. I then set up with Auto Slash's price watch system, and I received an email that I could get a better deal on my car for $690. WTF? I emailed them, and they told me that was a great deal because the car I rented was really $979! I called Hertz and they confirmed that the rental price for the car was $979.82, using the same confirmation number. I told them I had a copy of the confirmation for $475, and essentially they said, not our problem, call Priceline. I called Priceline who tried to give me a bs story about higher taxes at the time I was booking, and essentially said, sorry.
Priceline is a scam. They say they "refunded your reservation" then charge you three monthes later for it thinking you won't notice and refusing to correct the issue. I will never use this service again!
I will never use this company again and you shouldn't forget about getting in touch with them if you are out of the USA specially if they didn't notify you your flight was cancel and I have to wait more than 10 hours at the airport.
Booked using Priceline paid everything upfront but the resort fee for flamingo Las Vegas booked 5 rooms since it was a large group that went I had to cancel a room because the person that was going was exposed to covid so we thought it would be best for him not to go and quarantine for 14 days refund policy states that if canceled you will pay for one nights stay and be refunded they refuse to give me my money back basically stating that the person should have still came on the trip (I have emails) I contacted the hotel directly and they said that they refund if canceled with in 24 hrs of cancellation Priceline stated they did not say that then several emails later stated that they did contact the hotel and they stated that but still refuse to give me a refund then on top of all of this and all the money spent before to book the trip 3 people still had to pay an extra 500 bucks when we arrived even after booking it stated that nothing else needed to be paid but the resort fee which was like 245 ooh and let's not forget we also scheduled a ride from the airport to the hotel and some how that never got booked but was paid for Priceline is the worst never use them and let's not forget that the hotel room description was completely wrong and the room was terrible
I reserved and paid for a full size rental car with Priceline.com they sent me to ACE Rent a car which has terrible service, cars and reviews. We got scammed! Classic "bait and switch" and forced to pay an up-charge. Read their reviews online yourself and you'll see this is a common theme. I assumed Priceline vetted the companies they did business with. I don't know why they'd use ACE. A simple Google search reveals they're TERRIBLE!
I called Priceline to try to straighten things out and could only speak to someone that took notes. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told the supervisor would only do the same thing.
I did an online chat with a representative and they only take notes and pass them on. They said I'd receive an email within 10 days with a resolution and when I finally got the email it listed my issue as something totally different than what I explained, but you can't reply to the email! On top of that, they call the car rental place in if they rebut what you've said, Priceline immediately sides with them. You have zero recourse if you have a bad experience.
Priceline might work well if absolutely nothing goes wrong, but if it does, YOU'RE the one that pays!
Will not refund money. Tried booking room put in all my billing info then got a pop up that said sorry for the inconvenience this room is no longer available and still got billed for it. They said the booking was non refundable and that i confirmed. I told them i hit confirm and got the message it wasnt available and got billed. They said it isn't refundable period.
This website is an absolute headache and waste of time and money. Twice now I have had what seemed to me to be a very simple paperwork error has turned into having to wait a while business day for a refund due to their neglegence in stating the hotel didn't serve local patrons even after I entered my local address. Unfortunately with the covid I don't have the financial means to get a hotel room every night nor did I prepare to have this insident occur resulting in having to stay in my car in a not safe town full of homeless tweakers that approached my car more than once as well as the police shining there lights at me asking why I was sleeping at 3am in my car. Obviously people in this town are either drugged up and nodded out to where they are forced to make sure people are still alive or simply their way to make quota... that's neither here nor there. This website neglected to even offer any kind of compensation for their mistake. I would not recommend this website to my worst enemy the people they have at customer service barley speak English and are very unpleasant and blatantly as unhelpful as they could be. I'm a 23 year old women now forced to sleeping outside in the cold due to choosing a third party helper thinking I'd get a good discount... lesson learned.
I accidentally booked a room for the same hotel twice for one night. They will not issue a refund. For either night. And then continue to tell me why it's not an option. Wtf am. I going to do with two rooms for the same night with reservations made 2 min apart. Straight garbage.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Went out of town for a trip and they booked me a room with a hotel that was closed down! Called customer service and instead of just booking another room in that area said they would give me a refund that wouldn't be processed for 10 days. Never booking again!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Let me preface this review with I'm a VIP member and used priceline for all my business trips (30+ bookings). We made a reservation on Halloween but since it was after midnight it automatically booked us for 1/1. We went to the hotel and they said we cannot cancel and we have to call the travel agency. We asked if anything was available that night and they said no. Fine. Price line told us 'rest assured' (which, by definition means: to be certain that something will happen) that they will handle it. At 3pm 1/1 still no update. We reached out at 3:30pm, 30 mins before we had to check in. They replied at 5:30pm stating that they're STILL WAITING on the HOTEL'S RESPONSE. Priceline reached out at 2:08pm on 11/2 (3 hours AFTER our reservation would have ended) to tell us "sorry it's nonrefundable". If I knew that I wasn't going to get a refund, I would've at least went to the hotel to get my money's worth. I take responsibility for messing up the reservation but neither the hotel OR priceline are taking responsibility to, at the very least, offer me another date to reschedule despite the fact that both of them SPENT MY ENTIRE RESERVATION TIME AND MORE discussing what to do with NO follow up. I'm furious and disgusted at how easily they sleep knowing they pocketed $83 for nothing.
I rented a car through priceline. No one had the size vehicle when I arrived. Nor was my money refunded!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
