The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

Rented a rental car through them and when we get to our destination we're told that they are all out of rental cars. LOL. It gets better. We call to get a refund and they want to refund us $70 for 5 days. $13 a day for a rental car!? LOL. We kept asking for a manager we could speak to and they send us to call reps in the Philippines, talk about a joke. Ended up having to do a chargeback with my bank. Don't use this garbage company. There's a reason their reviews are so horrible on multiple review platforms.
Worst experience ever with Priceline. They saving isn't worth the loss they'll cause you in the long run! Please reconsider using them before purchasing anything.
After eight years of this company I got a huge smack in the face when asking to reschedule due to Covid. Not refunded but rescheduled and I'm these "uncertain times" the one thing I'll bet with certainty is this company will screw you!
I booked a trip to Bali! Long story short the airlines cancelled it due to COVID. I called Priceline and they gave me the runaround for more than a week, telling me they were waiting to hear from the airlines. I keep getting put on hold and speaking to people who barely speak English only for them to come back and tell me the same thing. Nothing. First time and last time ever booking with them! Don't do it! Today I got tired and asked for the CEO's email address and phone number. The lady refused to give it to me. When asked for my Supervisor she tried to tell me she was the highest up and had no Supervisor! Unless she owns Priceline she's lying!
I booked a trip through Priceline in February 2020 for my fiance's birthday to travel to Egypt for May 2020. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we were unable to travel. We were at the height of the pandemic and the city that I live in was a hotspot. I called Priceline numerous time to inform them and the representatives were asking for proof of the pandemic, which is ridiculous and they refused to refund me for the trip while every other company in this industry refunded their customers due to the pandemic because the pandemic is not within the customers control. I had to call numerous times and eventually got my credit card company involved. I was unable to get a refund for the hotel and they sent me on a chase to call between the hotel and priceline numerous times. They were not helpful in assisting me with the refund. Till this day, I am extremely upset because I have been a long time customer of priceline. They would not even offer a credit to me for use at a later point in time. Instead, I am at a lost of my hard earned money. Terrible customer service. I will no longer be a customer of priceline.
Attractive sticker price for rental cars, but they withhold key information until after you make the purchase, information like where you'll be renting you car upon your arrival, and from whom. Once you learn the rental agency is two shuttle rides and many miles away from the airport, you look up the agency, find out it has almost exclusively 1 star reviews, and when you reach out to customer service to modify the reservation you get a bot. STAY AWAY
Make sure you read all the tiny print. Even make sure you have a magnifying glass with ya. This place is a $#*!ing joke. Lady at Hertz tried to screw me with a rental car. Now Priceline wants to do a refund but charge you a cancellation fee. I didnt cancel the damn car the $#*! did at the car lot. Never again will we use this company. Beware of what you get and again read everything. We are out 2x the amount with a car through Budget then what we paid through Priceline. Also, they took my bank card with all the funds on it. Great way for my daughter to see on her first trip just mother and daughter. Just about got stranded by them.
They advertise car rentals real cheap like around ten dollars per day. Then when you go into the website they start around fifty dollars per day. Avoid these scammers.
Horrible. I booked a 2 night stay in orlando. The hotel agreed to refund cancel reservation due to injury and Priceline is keeping the money. Foreign call center employees are rude, horrible and can't comprehend anything. I was a faithful priceline user since 2003 never again. Do not use them.
This was the absolute WORST experience I've ever had through a booking agency. I was given false information about the insurance that i purchased for coverage with my car rental. When I asked for a refund I was denied because I had just picked up my rental, even though I had to purchase more insurance with the actual company the car was rented through! The customer service was awful and there are hidden fees with the rental. I will NEVER book anything through Priceline again and i will vehemently discourage anyone who will listen to do the same!
Like I told your representative, I clicked the link in my itinerary that went straight to your site. I then clicked the link to cancel the reservation. I don't blame the hotel, I blame Priceline. It had nothing to do with the hotel. I did what I had to do to cancel my reservation. I went back in my history and found the time I went back to your site to cancel the reservation. It was at 7:07 PM. My reservation was made at 9:30 AM. What other reason would I go back to the Priceline site. I am a retired teacher and my retirement isn't very much, but I am a forgiving person so, it's a lesson learned. It is possible the internet was messing up with our weather, but you can afford the $226 more than I can. Good business practice would be to at least offer some kind of assistance. You could have shared the cost of the hotel by at least paying half or you could have refunded your fees. My city was experiencing a hurricane. You should have shown some kind of compassion. I also booked on Hotels.com the exact same way I did the Priceline reservation. It was the same procedure I did with Priceline, but the only difference was theirs worked. I will not be using Priceline again.
I booked airline and a Mustang rental car when I thought there would be just two of us traveling. Then 3 friends decided to join us on the trip. I called to change the mustang to a larger car - no other change. After 2 hours of being sent back and forth from Hertz to Priceline because Priceline kept saying Hertz can change it and hertz kept insisting that they couldn't because I had already paid Priceline, Priceline finally told me that they can't make any change at all to the rental car, including the MODEL of the car that I am renting! They now have my money and, while they easily accessed Hertz's car choices before I paid, now they can't so I'm stuck. I now remember using them in the past and having a similar issue and swearing NEVER to use them again! I won't ever forget again.
Booked a room on Priceline.com and noticed that the hotel that they booked was not the one that I had requested and that they actually picked one for me out of 3 options. When I called to have the room switched to the one that I actually picked they said that it automatically comes up with 3 hotels when you pick a hotel and they pick which one you get, unless you bypass it (I have never encountered this so did not know that I needed to do this). When you do that, there is a "no return or exchange policy". I cannot believe that they would resort to tricking people like this. Travel this year has been hard enough without a travel company tricking people. Now instead of staying at the same hotel with my sister, I will have to travel to see her.
They do false advertisement. They gave me 3 options of hotels with high quality and best reviews. They was supposed to give me the name of the hotel after I paid. After my payment confirmation was done, they gave me the lowest quality hotel they had. When we got in the hotel, the bathroom was disgusting and dirty. There was dry urine all around the toilet. I have pictures of it. We refused to stay there and called Priceline customer service to tell them about it. I asked them if they could get me one of the other 2 options of hotels they had told me that they had for the same price. They said that it wasn't possible to give me any of the other options. I asked them why and they just kept saying that it didn't work like that. They said they were going to give me the money back, but they weren't going to help me to get any other hotels. We were in the middle of the night, in a town we didn't know and they just didn't care about me, the customer. Be aware of Priceline's inaccurate ratings.
My dad booked a flight to Reno, Nevada way ahead of time. Months prior to the actual date. Got to the airport and they said that we were never in the itinerary. We couldn't fly. I was going to see my partner and I never got to now because of your screw up. You couldn't even get customer service on the line until an hour passed. I hope you go out of business, how do you feel ruining people's $#*!ing lives.
I made a reservation for my elderly mother six weeks in advance of the trip. They provided a flight number and departure time on a United Flight that doesn't exist, according to United. She got to the airport and they didn't have her name or flight information. After some digging, I discovered they sent an email in my spam folder the day prior to departure with an updated itinerary. Perhaps I should have checked all the email folders in advance, but the fact is the flight number initially provided does not exist. My elderly mother had to sit in the airport for 8 hours waiting for the next flight. Unacceptable! Will never use Priceline again!
I had to cancel my anniversary trip with my wife cause the lie about my rental car dont use this site u won't be satisfied i promise u will be unhappy just like we are now the WORST EVER
I got a rental car for New Orleans. Little did we know a hurricane was headed for Louisiana., They would not give a refund or credit. We lost over $200 to them. Scammers! Do not use them! You'll lose your money, even for an act of God.
I booked a Priceline Express Deal a month ago. This past week the exact same Express Deal had dropped by 15%. I called Priceline because this is what the app says. I leave tomorrow for my trip, so it is before midnight the day prior to the trip.
"WE GUARANTEE THE LOWEST PRICE *
See a better deal? We'll refund the difference if you find a lower price within 24 hours of booking.
If you find a better price on an Express Deal up to midnight before you travel, we'll refund you 200% of the difference."
After going through 2 different customer service agents, they kept refusing to honor what their website claims. I booked an Express Deal for a 2 star hotel in Clarksville TN for a king room. The Express Deal today is for a 2 star hotel in Clarksville TN for a king room, same dates, same amenities.
They keep telling me that the hotel is $..., but I really didn't care what hotel I got as long as it had decent beds for about 7 hours, I will arrive around midnight and leave before sunrise. They said if someone books the Express Deal that they might not get the same hotel, but I did not book for the particular hotel. I booked for the cheap Express Deal at this particular exit.
I really get tired of working with a company that squirms and makes every excuse to get out of their promise in writing.
I asked to talk to the 2nd girl's supervisor, but she said that was corporate and that you could only communicate through a letter, not phone or by emails.
I really didn't care about the 200% difference guarantee, just the lower price.
I will only use Priceline when on the road and am wanting a hotel immediately from now on.
I had to cancel my flight because of my lost wallet, they tried their best to get me a refund credit to be booked within next year. I had lost hope but some of the CSR's were very nice to me. Idk who you ppl are but some of you are great. Just thought id share here.
I rented a car from Priceline for a tradeshow. The tradeshow was cancelled due to COVID-19 and they would not let me cancel OR switch the reservation to another day. I'm not sure how companies like these are still in business.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
