Priceline Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. I found a decent deal on Priceline for the Aulani Disney hotel in Oahu. It was a few hundred dollars less so I was weary because it was a good deal. I prepaid $3000 to Priceline 2 months ago. I kept calling the Aulani to verify the reservation which they could never find in their system, and they assured me that the Priceline reservation usually appear 10 days prior to arrival. Well, today is 10 days prior, and after being on the phone with Priceline for over 3 hours, being disconnected twice and having to start from the beginning each time, Priceline cannot honor the reservation for a 1 bedroom villa, and offered me a room in a different part of the island at a noncomprable hotel! Total bait and switch. I opted for a refund, and now am scrambling to find a place to stay for our trip. First and Last time ever using Priceline!

These individuals that are on the line does not care about anything other than capturing the sale I tried to book airline reservations through them. I am so disappointed that my employer which is a Fortune 100 company has decided to have any affiliations with such a company. They passed me around from unknowledgeable agent to even more unknowledgeable agent. My advice, just book with the airline directly!

One star is too high. I had to cancel a flight I made through Priceline. I cancelled the same day I made the reservation. The Flight was made over two months in advance, and according to United Airlines I could cancel within a day and get a full refund to my credit card. When the charge came on my credit care anyway, I made some calls. United Airlines tells me I needed to contact Priceline. Priceline is not letting the price of the flight become a credit on my credit card charges -- have to use the money as credit towards a future flight within a year. The person I talked to on the phone was flat out rude. It was not like my cancelled flight was leaving right away causing a problem for either United or Priceline. I am a senior citizen and most likely would not be making another flight within the next year. It seems to me that if either United Airlines or Priceline wanted my business again, they would be more accommodating and compassionate.

I made a hotel reservation through Priceline and everything seemed fine and I even received emails from Priceline confirming my reservation. Five days before my trip I called the hotel with questions and the hotel said they didn't have my reservation. It took three days of calls with Priceline for them to finally admit that I would not have a room when I showed up at the hotel and that if I didn't want to be charged for the hotel room (which I didn't even have) I needed to officially cancel my Priceline reservation with no accountability on Priceline's part. Priceline also refused to help me find another hotel for my trip, which was now only 2 days away and area hotel prices had increased and availability had decreased. It was poor customer service throughout my hours on the telephone with Priceline including them not calling me back when they said they would. If you still use Priceline knowing of their poor customer service, I would suggest that you call the hotel to double check that they have your reservation.

I recently booked a hotel through Priceline.com. Base on their website, they indicated that the hotel have free buffet breakfast, Bus shuttle to the airport, Indoor pool and Sauna. I booked it and I paid almost $900.00 for 10 nights. Very disapponited, nothing were provided as they mentioned, in additional, the hotel was old, cold, 15" TV (year of 2000) no youtube, and no Netflix. I complained and they said they couldn't do anything. BECAREFUL when booking through Priceline.com and be sure to take a screen shot of what described the hotel. I would NEVER ever booked from Priceline.com again!

Deceptive and rude
March 22, 2022

Based on their website images and reviews I booked 3 nights at a hotel that turned out to be used as a homeless shelter, dangerous, dirty and decrepit... yet Priceline is keeping all 680.00 dollars of my money and the representative actually told me I should of looked at the revies instead of trusting their site! At least use a gun if you are going to rob me! DO NOT USE PRICELINE or ever book the Windemere Hotel in Mesa, AZ[

Cancellation
March 22, 2022

Was not able to change my date or get my refund back. Reason was that my Marine son called me to let me know he's graduation was rescheduled, so I couldn't keep my hotel reservation anymore. But Priceline was not able to help me out with change of date or refund my money back. Was so frustrated with this situation. Very upset with Priceline. Will never book with them anymore.

I used Priceline.com to choose a hotel with a free breakfast that would meet my strict dietary needs on my trip. I chose a hotel that was $20-30 more expensive than other hotels because it stated the hotel has "hot buffet breakfast". Woke up this morning to find that all they offer is hot waffles, which I cannot eat. I contacted Priceline.com's customer service and they told me that my receipt/itinerary doesn't guarantee hot breakfast. So the two pages leading up to booking the hotel that say "hot breakfast buffet" meant nothing and only the receipt after I had already paid said only "breakfast included". Priceline has pulled a bait and switch and refuses to rectify the situation. I've been using their service for years but now I think I'll be moving on.

False Advertisement
March 21, 2022

False advertisement of hotel amenities and no disclosure of changes in hotel attached foreclosing/closure which majorly impacts entertainment available. Solicits business from name recognition of "epicenter" when this venue no longer exist.

I used Priceline to book a room which they picked near Miami. The room they got me was Bikini Hostel when I went to the place they informed me that they didn't have a room for me because of sewer problem. They informed me to contact Priceline I fought with them for a long time because the place would not answer there phone. After having it taken off my card they are now fighting this charge. I didn't stay I wouldn't advise anyone to stay there or use Priceline they are selling terrible rooms not available. NEVER USE PRICELINE

Absolutely pathetic
March 18, 2022

Honestly, this story is just sad. My girlfriend and I booked a hotel through t mobile on t mobile Tuesday. We received a confirmation email 2 days before we arrived to the hotel. Then, upon arrival, the hotel told us they had been booked for months and someone should have called us to let us know what hotel they were relocating us to. Nobody did. After calling t mobile, they said they had no idea what I was talking about. Then I called Priceline (they are partnered for travel) and they told me they had no idea what I was talking about. Then I called this little company at the bottom of the confirmation email, rocket travel. Rocket travel finally had our reservation details, and made us wait 2 hours to hear back from them about relocation. During this time, I called several hotels in the same area and finally found one with two rooms available for only a $50 difference. I quickly called them and asked to be put in that hotel and said I would just pay the difference. When they finally called back, they tried to put us in a cheaper hotel over 3 miles away... in New Orleans... on st Patrick's day. Have you ever been to bourbon street on st Patrick's day? It's insane. Since the whole point of the TWO hotels we chose was to be within walking distance, I declined and told them we needed to be closer. I then waited on hold for OVER AN HOUR before the guy came back and told me that the company they subcontract through, Agoda, REFUSED TO PROVIDE ANOTHER OPTION. They told me they did everything they could to address my concerns, even though I found them a hotel to switch us to and basically did their job for them. Their proposed solution? Give me a refund and call it even. So, I had driven 7 hours, paid roughly $600 for a hotel I couldn't stay at, spent several hours on the phone talking to various companies trying to get help, and the ultimate solution was to give me my money back and leave me in New Orleans with nowhere to stay. To say I'm upset is an understatement. This was supposed to be a special trip for my girlfriend and I (I had planned a proposal) and the entire trip was ruined. We ended up paying another $600 for a different hotel that price gouged us due to the late notice and we were given a disgusting, dirty, 10 by 10 jail cell to stay in. Also, by the time we got a room we were so hungry so we stopped at a place right outside the hotel to eat... my girlfriend ended up getting food poisoning and throwing up/violently having bowel movements for the next 12 hours. Thank you t mobile, Priceline, rocket travel, and Agoda for the trip of a lifetime and one I will surely never forget. I am going to post this review on every website and social media platform I can find until one of you address this situation. We have also started pricing out other phone carriers because your companies are pathetic. You can fix it, or lose a loyal customer of over 10 years. Up to you.

I chose the economy hotel for a one night stay for what I thought was a New Smyrna Beach and they booked a hotel in Palm Coast which is 45 minutes away. The website says that it will not tell you what the hotel is until after you pay but I didn't realize that it was going to book a hotel for cities away from where I requested. I called and talk to the manager and they would not change my hotel or refund the money. This was my first and last transaction with Priceline. Be careful what you do on this website because their customer service is zero.

WE BOOKING TWO ROOMS FOR JACKSONVILLE IN FL, USING THE APP.
BUT THE APP FAILED CHANGING THE CITY TO MACLENNY FL.
IMMEDIATELY WE CALL TO CANCEL IT. BUT THEY SAID "WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE MANAGER WAS NOT HERE". WE CALLED THE HOTEL, AND THEY TOLD US THAT THEY COULD NOT CHANGE IT, BECAUSE THAT WAS PRICELINE'S WORK.
IN THE END: THEY CHARGED US FOR 5 DAYS, WITHOUT NEVER HAVING BEEN IN THAT HOTEL.
WE CALLED COSTUMER SERVICE, WE TALKED TO 4 DIFFERENT PEOPLE (ALL IN THE IDIA) NONE SOLVED ANYTHING, WE HAD TO PAY EVERYTHING, THIS COMPANY USES FOREIGN WORKERS OUTSIDE THE USA WHO CANNOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY.
IT IS A FAKE PAPER COMPANY

Had credits of $800 for travel cancelled during covid
Looked up new travel on Priceline site and based on there internet prices could travel for credit
When I called to apply credits and spent 1 and 1/2 hours with agent she informed me that oh know those prices are not available. Your prices are so and so which were high enough to eat up credit.
Total scam and ripoff.
There credits are worthless

Booked tickets on March 8th and received confirmation to and from our destination. Husband got to the airport and Delta had no record of a ticket booked. Called Priceline multiple times and had to wait on callbacks only to find out that "we aren't sure what happened but you have no tickets so we will refund your money". What? My husband was going to pick up our grandson. This is absolutely the worst experience ever and I am so disappointed. No excuse. I received a confirmation this morning and it had also asked me if we were ready for the flight today. Shame on you Priceline.
