Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. Less than a star
March 12, 2022

I specifically booked a flexible cancellation room. Priceline was terrible when I went to cancel it over 32 hours before arrival. The fine print said that I had to cancel by 11:59pm 3/12/22. I tried to cancel at 11 am 3/12/22. Priceline kept saying they would charge me the first night.

This has been a horrible experience. I have texts, multiple phone calls etc. Priceline is awful

I booked a flight March 2nd 2022 using Priceline and they totally deceived me. I choose a seat upgrade which they offered at a discount but it was not listed on the itinerary. I called and after speaking to the Supervisor, was reassured many times that I was upgraded to Economy +. She also told me that it takes time for United to upgrade their system but I definitely was Economy +. One week later I received a flight time change and the upgrade was not listed. So I called again and was told that I did not upgrade. Why did the Supervisor reassure me of the upgrade and then a week later told me that it did not happen. Do not trust them.

This was the worst experience with a 3rd party Representative aka Priceline and rental car company I've ever had. I couldn't pick a car up because the location was closed even though your site allowed me to schedule a pickup time past closing time. It was a huge inconvenience. I didn't get my car and now my money is in limbo for 10 business days. I couldn't afford it as is but I needed a rental car because my car is broke down. All I heard from your people is I understand mam. But you can't change the reservation to another time, like during open business hours, because it's a restricted reservation it can't be altered. I trusted that when I booked through your site that id get a car at the exact time it was scheduled for I didn't expect this. And when the mistake was made it was like oh well no big deal. This has created unnecessary stress for me and costed me money I don't have. I should've been comped a car or at least had my money refunded immediately. You need to compensate people when stuff like this happens. Hotels.com booked me a room somewhere that was full and so they got me an even nicer room immediately that night and they covered the difference. That's good customer service. My suggestion is you should learn from them. I will never ever book anything through u again

I have used Priceline many time, but taking advantage of their bundling package was the worst thing ever and in the end has cost us more. We bundled hotel and rental car. When you rent a car you indicated the pickup time and return time, but when you bundle this is not an option. Our flight arrives at 10pm and the rental car company that was given to us by the system closes at 8pm. Well there is nothing we can do about that. We were not even asking for a refund, we just asked if the system could assign us a another company that has longer closing hours and it all boiled down to the system and there policy and there is no flexibility to situations that are out of your control. Had I individually made the hotel reservation seperate from the rental car we would not be in this predicument. There is absolutely no customer service and no flexibility in there system or policies. So we lost money for bundling and a long time customer.

Don't go through them
March 10, 2022

This is my second time having issues. This time the motel canceled and now I'm struggling getting my refund back and it's very aggravating. My account is over drafted because I had to book somewhere else and I'll end up getting over draft fees!

My recommendation: DO NOT USE PRICELINE! This company RIPs off client dishonestly collaborating with Economy Rental Car in Toronto. I reserved a car in Toronto I paid for the rental upfront. I was assured it is final price but when I went location i was ripped of extra 75$. No matter it is Economy Rental or Priceline both are misleading people and cheating. Avoid those companies.

I paid over $500 to reserve for a room 4 months ago. I found out today that my granddaughter has MCAS testing the week I booked and Priceline REFUSED to work with me. No amendments or modifications. That's absolutely insane and I will NEVER use them again!

As a longtime Priceline customer, it hurts me to give this review. I bundled a hotel & rental car for a trip to Florida. The car company was Green Motion, which we had never heard of, and they were listed as being at the Ft Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport. They were not--they were over a couple miles away in a sketchy area. Their van never came but thankfully a driver from a competing company actually gave us a ride to Green Motion's location. We opted not to buy their insurance since our own policy covers rental cars but were told that we had to pay $8 per day as an "administrative fee" for listing our own policy—seriously? Absolutely one of the dumbest things I had ever heard of, but there we stood with our luggage, stuck in the middle of nowhere with no car unless we agreed to pay this $45 fee which they refused to drop. We had pre-paid Priceline what was supposed to be all of the charges, so what was up with charging more money once we got there? After we got home, I talked to several customer service agents at Priceline & they were either too dumb to catch onto the fact that customers shouldn't be charged extra or that's just their song & dance but none would help me get the money back. Then I found the name and address of the man in charge of Priceline's car rentals and, since Priceline wouldn't give me his email address or phone number, I sent him a letter asking for help leveraging this company for my money back or refunding me. Additionally, I hoped they would check the company out because they weren't located where they were supposed to be, didn't seem to have a shuttle to their office as was advertised and charged above and beyond what I should've had to pay. I got no response. I will never use Priceline again & highly recommend that you don't either. It goes without saying that everyone should stay away from Green Motion too.

I accidentally clicked purchase when my finger touched the touchscreen. I called Priceline immediately to let them know I made a mistake. I wasn't even planning to go. They said sorry but we're keeping your money.

I had financial losses while staying at hotel booked through Priceline and they offered no financial compensation and only offered a 15% off coupon for future bookings with them providing I accepted that verbally over the phone without reading and writing their offer so I didn't know what I was really agreeing to specifically nor would they make any offer unless I agree to it blindly over the phone. I am a VIP gold member with them for at least 7 years and was treated poorly with customer service telling me that's the only way you get any compensation. Won't be using them again

I booked an Express Deal with Priceline for 2 nights in Salida CO. The nightly rate was $111 but came to just over $271. With fees & taxes. Kinda High, but I booked it because I had a coupon that I chose to apply which lowered my rate to just over $249. The next morning I saw Travelocity had same room, same dates advertised for $109.44 saving me a whopping $3.12... but 200% Express guarantee elevated that to 6.24 or almost a 6-pak of cheap beer... I had time so went thru the exercise... but I was stymied & got. 94 instead. Why? Because they went by Total price I was told... if that's true then I argued my published rate w/ taxes & fees is $21 more than Travelocity's so w/ 200% guarantee you owe me like $42... No because you used a coupon... But that has nothing to do with the published price differential. A coupon, a credit voucher, a CC & Cash are just ways to pay. I have the right but not the obligation to use it on any PL transaction while it's valid. AND I SAY The published price should be the standard of comparison for determining their guarantee. But is it the published room price or total price w/ fees & taxes? How can they get away with throwing various coupons disclaimers into the mix when the guarantee says nothing about them? Coupons muddy the issue... so if I'd bought the room with No coupon, thus paying $21 more than Travelocity how many of you think Priceline would pay up on the $42 when I brought it to their attention? Yep we're all victims of this chicanery & need better Consumer Protections.
Legally it is an interesting question in fair trade practices & consumer law.

Never trust Priceline again
March 2, 2022

If I could give zero stars, I would. My most recent experience with Priceline, will be my last one as they have taken advantage of the vulnerable state I found myself in. Not only did they offer me bad flights knowing I was desperate, but they were not available to rectify the situation they put me in.

At first, Evan seemed very helpful with finding me a last minute ticket to Europe to see what I thought were my dying parents. At first he offered me a three thousand dollar flight, which I genuinely thought would be first class, but once I asked him that, he gave me another option that seemed much more "reasonable". In my vulnerable and frantic state, I thought he had gotten me a deal and a great flight, when in fact I found out later that there were much cheaper and quicker options. In my great hurry, I accepted the terms that the flight was non-refundable and I took Evan at his word when he stated that all I had to do was get to the airport four hours before the flight and it would be an easy flight for me. He insisted there was nothing else I needed to worry about besides my negative COVID test.

Unfortunately, all of his reassurances were wrong. It turned out that since there were two flight changes in Europe, I needed not just the two vaccines and the negative COVID test but also the "booster". Lufthansa could not change my flight since I had not bought it directly with them and NO ONE at Priceline answered the phone or email to help me resolve this issue. I had to buy a WHOLE NEW FLIGHT thru another airline that was faster and cheaper and was never offered to me by Evan. When I finally was able to get in contact with Priceline, after I arrived at my destination, I was told there was nothing they could do.

I am very disappointed with my experience and I feel taken advantage of.

Accidentally booked a rental car through priceline after clicking on a link after I booked my airline tickets. That cost me and turned out to be a costly mistake. Due to a snowstorm our flight was delayed a day. I attempted to contact priceline via email but no response. There were no transfers or changes allowed on my reservation so I took it as a loss knowing that at least my SUV that I paid extra for would be waiting for me upon arrival since it was reserved and pre paid. Not so much. When we arrived at Fox rental car in Phoenix all of my category SUVs were gone but they could downgrade me with no price adjustment since I paid through priceline. I had no choice at this point so I took what I could get. Upon return there were nearly $75 in additional fees from the rental company directly that were not part of the priceline full payment and none of them related to any damage or otherwise. I WILL NEVER GO THRU PRICELINE AGAIN FOR ANYTHING. They served no purpose at all other than to nearly double charge me with their own added fees. Would have been just over half of what we paid if I had booked directly. Someone is making a big cut and their name is Priceline!

Priceline flight
March 1, 2022

Booked with priceline for many things, these last few flights I booked is a joke. We booked flights and upgraded to main cabin and it did main cabin going and basic economy coming back. Tried to call and talk with customer service and got transferred 3 times and nobody could help just said to cancel reservation and rebook with delta. And there was nothing they could change as it was basic economy but wouldnt let us change it for our return flight as we wanted to pick our seats.

I was not able to stay at a hotel I booked via Priceline being the flight was delayed to the next day due to a tire on the plane issues. The hotel agreed to credit to the amount they received however the amount Priceline received for me booking I could not receive back even though Priceline and the hotel admitted to me that they recieived my money. They wouldn't even give me a discount code $60 down the drain!

No help what so ever
February 28, 2022

I received a coupon via email. When I tried to use it on the website it don't provide a place to insert the coupon code. I called customer service and was told they don't assist with flights. So I asked how to use the coupon/deal, I was advised they have no way to assist me with that information being they are limited with the site information. I ask, You all have a website and if someone needs help navigating, having trouble, or needing assistance with the site, you all dont have a department to asisst with any of this. I was advised NO... SMH what is the world coming to
