Scam
December 10, 2016

This is the worst delivery service in nyc by far. Two times I ordered food delivery and can see the person picked it up and then when the eta is 1 minute away they suddenly disappear and do not attempt to contact me. Then I get an email saying the order was complete. It is impossible to get someone live to find out what happened to the order or get a refund. This place is a total scam.

Postmates: Get your act together. It's not okay to be over 50 minutes past your ETA, the courier not respond about the delay and then pretend like everything's cool. I had already made an alternate dinner plan after the constant delays and am mad that they charged for the food order without delivering it.

I am now cheering for getting Uber Eats in the city, Postmates - you have to do right by your customer or there's no point. Look at everyone here, so many 1 star ratings should tell you something.

I was ordering pizza for a small Halloween work party and was referred to Postmates by local restaurant staff. Long story short, a temporary hold hit my account, but I never got the food. The charge, which was more than the total, was eventually credited back to my account but that's not my major problem with Postmates. The website is not user friendly, and it is merely IMPOSSIBLE to talk to a live person. The site does not list a number to contact, it only shuffles you from link to link to link to link. Even writing a review on this company was a hassle and I think it's done purposely. Someone from their support staff eventually emailed me back, but when you're scrambling to pull together a lunch and not sure if your order was received, eventually getting back isn't good enough. I would not take the chance on their services again, especially when you're in a crunch and have no room for errors and hiccups. I called another restaurant with onsite deliverers and there were no problems.

I recently ordered through Postmates, first and usually each time I order it takes multiple attempts to get a driver because it always says they are busy, I live off of 7th and Main St., one of the most populated areas in LA, and for downtown I'm surprised that there are usually only around 5 drivers in my area and it takes so long just to get the order picked up.
I just ordered, I waited for an hour thinking hat my order was early here and then got a text that says my order was cancelled, everyone is busy. I had guests over for a business dinner meeting and we made a large order, for the order to be accepted, all of us wait that long, only for it to be cancelled quit honestly is the worst food ordering experience I've ever had, on top of that it was 5 people waiting for their dinner.
Once an order is "accepted" your drivers shouldn't have the option at any point to cancel it, especially after you have customers waiting for an hour, ridiculous.
I'm never using this service again but please at least take this message to a manager that can improve your service.

"Unfortunately all nearby Postmates are currently busy and your order was canceled. Please try another place."

There is no way to contact them with a question. We are all sitting here wondering where is our lunch. They emailed two different invoices -both have same foods items, but each has a different price. He is now 1 hour late. But we do see that they have charged our credit card.

MAJOR SCAM ALERT!

DONE USE POSTDATES! THEY SECRETLY CHARGE YOU AND SAY THEY DROPPED OFF YOUR ORDER THAT YOU NEVER EVER RECIEVED. Our last post mate said he was at our door and when we called him to see where he was he said at our door, told him to knock and nobody was there. Tried to call back and the line was cut! FRAUD

We attempted to use postmates for our office, but after a month of headaches with incorrect orders, mis-delivered food, and no shows, we receive an error that our ip address has been blocked. The only way to get in contact with them is through email, which takes an exorbitant amount of time if they don't like what you are disputing.

This must be a terrible place to work. I ordered for the first time today. My order was incorrect and missing two items. I notified Postmates. A person responded, advising me that I would get a refund for one item. I emailed again, asking why. No response.

And BTW, Postmates system for notifying it of errors is cumbersome and not at all user-friendly.

UPDATE: I eventually got a response from a Postmates rep and after some wait, I finally got a refund for both items that were left out of my order.

The WORST delivery service.

They claim to get you your food within an hour. You have no way to contact someone if over an hour and you get an automated email saying that postmate will update your status when food ready! Save yourself the aggravation! If you want to starve, use Postmate! Horrible customer service!

Worst service ever. Scam. Paid, didn't get but half the food. Gave driver a good tip and he said he was going back. Never herd back and was charged and restaurant (Copper in Charlotte) said nothing they could do. Great model. Driver had fake phone number with 1 extra number so it was not recognizable

At checkout I was charged $26.00 including delivery. Then I was charged $40.00. It went down to $32.00 and then I was charged again $35.00. This is illegal and I don't appreciate my money being stolen. "I told them have screen shots of all these transactions! I want all my money back or I am making a police report! I work hard for my money and I will not let this issue go until it is resolved! I will call the news, paper, go online and tell the truth about this! Someone please do something about this or I will." Honestly I don't think they are gonna do nothing it was just a way for me to vent because I felt helpless. The lady even ordered extra this extra that when I never even wanted none of it. I've never felt so taken advantage of. Don't order with them they will do what they want with your money because they have full access to your bank account.

WTF?

First order from a restaurant worked like a charm. Second order was a disaster. I ordered. Received a confirmation that my card had been charged $1 and a text from a driver that he was on his way to pick it up, And then nothing. The driver wouldn't respond to texts or calls. There is NO tracking available on the website/app. I finally called the restaurant, and they had no record of the order. Good concept. Very disappointing execution. I hope I at least get my $1 hold back on my credit card.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

DON'T trust these people in fact if you cant do an instant chat or a talk to a live person i would not recommend you use them. I placed my first order with them and as of 2 hours no food, no call, no email,... the cheescake factory at the grove in Los Angeles the manager was so nice that he personally is driving it to us DO NOT USE POSTMATES THEY charged my credit card and won't respond i've sent 3 emails and all the pictures that are posted showing who works there not one can respond what a bunch of losers! No customer service they have all these specialist but not one handles customers service

Love the idea of being able to have almost anything delivered within an hour but i feel like they arent completely transparent about the fees associated with the delivery.
