Do not use these crooks! I ordered food and right after their website crashed. Since I couldn't access the site to see where my food was after an hour I assumed it wasn't coming and made alternative dinner arrangements, ate and went to bed. I get a text about 2 and a half hours after my initial order telling me my food was on its way. When it did get here it was freezing and inedible since apparently it was prepared by the restaurant when I initially ordered two and a half hours earlier. I wrote a complaint to postmates about a refund and 3 days later they got back to me with a scripted answer saying oh sorry we will use this to get better. I went back and forth with the rep by email and he wanted to give me a delivey credit a a refund of $3.84 when the order cost 38.94 for something no one would ever eat. I complained back again and he replied back with it would be issued a refund. Checked my card and all I gothink back was the partial refund. I have told him again that is not acceptable and I will be disputing the charges.
This was my first time ordering via Postmates. The delivery guy called and texted me that he couldn't find my house. I told him exactly where to go and also sent him the address again via text. He was supposedly 5 blocks away. After waiting outside for 15 minutes, I went back inside. Tried to find contact information for Customer Service. Practically impossible. Now it's been over 1.5 hours and I need to go in search of food. If they charge my credit card, I will be calling the bank.
Ordered food. 1 hr 20 minutes later no food. Driver can't be reached. Site boasts 1 hour delivery promise. Simple chain restaurant 1.5 miles from home I guess my time after all isn't worth what they charge. Customer service offered to waive huge $10 delivery fee if we waited for another driver. Sorry ordered food to spend more time with my daughter now she's starving and I'm rushing to put something in the oven.
Ordered food the delivery man took a pic of my door never knocked sent the pic and pulled off. When talked to someone immediately after they told i would have to wait 10 days to get my money back and left it at that.
Do not sign up for a Plus account thinking you'll actually be free of service and delivery fees with an order over $25. They don't tell you but you have to "verify" the merchant is under a specific list, otherwise your charged the entire order, plus, service fees, plus delivery fees, PLUS the $9.99/month. HA. Yeah, not EVER going to use this service again. Save yourself the trouble, use another service or go pick up what you need yourself and don't bother with Postmates.
Tried their service once and saw how expensive their service is and did not try their service again. Several months later, I got emails from them that someone accessed my account from a different part of the city. The person or people who accessed my account charged a delivery to 111 W. 7th Street *******671) for about $100 for a salmon dinner, delivery fee, and tips. When I saw this, I quickly resetted my password and deleted my credit card information. I have contacted their customer service department to have this issue resolved and not charged my credit card for a delivery I did not ask for (especially since I have gout and salmon is bad for me). Their response is pending but I want to warn people of the breach of information, security and privacy.
On more than once occassion i have had my order canceled after confirmed and waiting over an hour. 9 out of 10 times items are missing. Terrible, try uber eats.
Was charged a $25 delivery fee for a $15 pizza from less than a mile away! It was not transparent at all at the time. Would never use or recommend anyone use this. Way better options out there.
The idea is great. Order online and have it delivered to your door. Except not really!
I was down the the flu and ram out of theraflu. I really wanted the nighttime theraflu but decided to get both. After paying 40 bucks I waited patiently for a knock on the door. Nope!
I get a text saying they left the package with doorman - really? Why? I fwt out of bed and rake the elevator to rhe lobby and lo and beholld the order is all weong! And crazier still rhe driver on bicycle came from about 50 blocks away! How that makes sense is beyond me!
Next time I will just do it myself and save a lot of money and frustration!
They said order delivery in about 30 minutes. Then that kept adjusting. 2 hours later I'm starving and the delivery guys says he's just got the restaurant?! And supposedly they are really business and this is going to take way longer? Oh hell no!
Then when I go to cancel the order the app says I'll be billed for it anyway?! OH hell no!
Can't reach them on Twitter. No reply on Facebook. No phone number. Their app says reply to the email we sent you but there was no email. These people are thugs, IMHO and need to go bankrupt. I'm working with my CC company to have the payment they stole returned.
Oh, and you can't sue them. You agreed to that when you set up your account. Bastards can't go out of business fast enough!
If you decide to use this delivery service, know it's 99.9% likely you won't receive your order. Used this company twice and both times have been terrible... one star is too many. First time it took nearly 30 minutes for them to inform me no drivers were in the area to pick up my order and it was cancelled. Second time they texted me about an unavailable item and gave a 15 minute time frame to select a new item (though they only provided 5-6 choices) before the order was cancelled. So I called the restaurant and spoke with them about substituting, but since I didn't go through postmates, order was of course cancelled. Two words... lesson learned.
As a driver I take pride in my deliveries. I have a 4.8 life review. Pretty simple accept your delivery. Pick up food. Some wait times are longer during peak hours. We do our best to make sure you have utensils, napkins and condiments when available we drive the fastest route to our destination. Please be sure to tip toe driver as $5 give or take is less than minimum wage. Tips really help and make delivering in our own vehicle worth our time. Also if you live in an apartment complex be sure to include your Building # CLEAR directions to your apartment, include gate code or add us to your list when you have a secured guard at the entrance to your community. It's not rocket science this service is to elevate your stress of feeding yourself and/ or your family. Tips tips tips
After having an isssue with my order, i have tried to contact customer support to solve my problem. The customer support team decided to reply the following day without addressing my problem!
Thanks Postmates for having such a bad customer support! Now, I'll make sure that none of my friends order from Postmates ever again!
I had a $10 off coupon code, so I sign up for the site and order and apply the code. It won't take the $10 off until AFTER I confirm the order. I order it and it takes $3.99 off. I got to cancel the order, it says it's still going to charge me for everything but not deliver if I cancel. I contact their customer service and can't get in touch with anyone.
RIP OFF.
These people seriously don't even deserve one star.
Their customer service is the hardest department to reach! I've been at it for almost a week for an order that was cancelled and I was still charged. So ridiculous! I just want my damn refund!
The worst place to order food, my food was $15 dollars I ordered some general chicken from a chinese restaurant they charged me over 30$. The $#*!es took my money and now im having a hard time getting in contact with someone... Do not order from these $#*!in dirty $#*! people! Never again will i order from them idc if I was starving
This is not Kaflaesque... just foul-up and lack of customer service. I am here with Franz Kafka himself and Alice, in Wonderland. Similar problems with "choose a substitute" but I had chosen the daily special for today ( Tuesday) and was only offered daily specials for other day's... obviously impossible. Delivery man helpfully called, I changed order sensibly and he agreed to make change. Postmates then auto cancelled the order and I could get no response... obvious thought was to call delivery man to clarify evrything was ok... then found his number not in service! Calls to restaurant, e-ails to Postmates help center etc. - the upshot restaurant confirmed order as corrected had been prepared and PICKED UP!
An hour and a half later no food... someone eventually picked up messengers phone and said he knew nothing about any such order. What amazes me is what happened to the food after it was picked up... did the messenger eat it... will I get billed?
Terrible business, I will never use again. Delivery charges were a rip-off, a $30 order from Shake Shack ended up costing over $70! Plus, I canceled the first order, yet they still processed it and I got double billed. Awful
Writing from Columbus, Ohio. I ordered 5 items for my very first (and last) Postmates experience. In about 10 minutes they texted a "crisis" alert. One of my items was not available and the only substitutes offered did not please my companion. 5 minutes later---another crisis alert. Another item unavailable and I was asked to pick a substitute. Substitute picked. 5 minutes later: another item unavailable but the URL led nowhere. 5 minutes later: another item unavailable.
The upshot is that we are waiting for 2 possible items, but the bill at the web site has not been concomitantly diminished. This would be like the Keystone Kops with all the pratfalls were it not that I am hungry, they have my credit card information, there is no way to contact them, and they clearly are not planning to bring any food.
I had a terrible experience with this delivery service. I tried to cancel my order as soon as I submitted it (literally within seconds of submitting it) because I had second thoughts about paying $15 as a delivery fee (on top of a minimal service charge). The "cancel" button didn't work. I received an email confirming my order and when I decided to cancel it I was charged $30 to cancel (which supposedly I can use in credit on my next order).
Answer: I got charged twice instead of once. For my delivery now that they made a mistake and didn't take care of it I'll never use postmate ever again
Answer: They Don't answer you back until after 5 days so that they can say "Unfortunately we will not give you your money back because we only issues refunds if the claim is made in a timely manner" horrible company
Answer: Their app has all type of glitches and issues they did the very same to me I didn't even sign up for their free trial but I am now having to dispute a charge of 95.88 on my account. I was charged for orders I never got and also I reached out to them multiple times never got anything back. They actually put on the app that the order was resolved when I have never spoken to them this company is a fraud and I do not know why they are still in business! I'd say remove your card information.
