I bought a pair of glasses from Perfect Glasses (PG*******), which came with a defect: one lenses just came out without any effort at all. Basically, the lens were very tight fixed to the frame. Now Perfect Glasses is adamant in charging me half of the original cost of the glasses in order to fix the problem.

Perfect Glasses customer service is horrible, Perfect Glasses basically ignores your messages, and Perfect Glasses replies are usually boarding arrogance.

Perfect Glasses sell cheap, but get their profits by shipping defective products, and then charging customer for the repairs. Avoid this company - I wish I had read some of the reviews of past customers.

I can only agree with the other negative views on this site. The price increases the moment the order is placed, the so-called money back guarantee is effectively worthless, and the glasses less than perfect. They are far keener to take your money than solve the problems they create.

They may well be able to supply standard single vision lenses since that's all they guarantee, but there is no guarantee for anything more complex indicating they can't be sure of getting it right. If they mess it up as they did in my case you've lost your money. Distorted vision and aching eyes after ten minutes use seems to be their idea of perfect glasses. It's very much a gamble when you place your order, you may be lucky or you may end up with glasses that are unusable.

An update to the above. Glasses purchased from Asda with the same prescription and at a lower price, with perfect vision.

I ordered a pair of glasses from this website which when they arrived were no good - despite paying extra for varifocal and extra thin lenses I couldn't focus or see at all but no problem I thought as the company offers a "no quibble" "90 unconditional" refund service. So I emailed them explaining the problem and sent the glasses back. After 6 weeks of chasing I finally got a reply to say that the glasses had been checked at the laboratory and as they were made to the prescription I had supplied I wasn't entitled to a refund and they were going to send the (useless) glasses back to me!

I emailed back quoting their "no quibble" refund policy etc and they said this only applied to single lenses not varifocal so again no refund.

I have since paid a lot of money for glasses from another optician using the same prescription and they are perfectly fine.

So I guess the bottom line is if you have more than just a standard prescription do not use this website.

Firstly tried to charge 4 times the price of anyone else for prisms.
Now have still, after 6 months, not replaced a frame which broke after a month's use, despite promising to do so, the only frame they sent for me to re-glaze did not fit.
This company is based in India, using an outsourced Customer Service company. If anything goes wrong you haven't a hope. And, since they ship through the Gulf states they CANNOT deliver in 2-3 days as they imply on their web-site.
In short cheap, nasty & dishonest.

Having used this company in the past, I knew they were always, always slower to despatch products than they claim, but I was prepared for that. I was not prepared for the nightmare of receiving a pair of completely smashed to pieces glasses in the post and the ridiculous 'customer service' I experienced afterwards. I could be here all night if I told you the amount of Live Chats, telephone calls (mostly unanswered) and emails I have had to send to deal with this problem. First they wanted me to send the smashed glasses back, recorded delivery, at my own expense, before they would even release a new pair. I refused and eventually they gave in. I was promised the new glasses would be despatched on a set date. They were not. Then when they were despatched, they were sent by a SLOWER delivery method than the first pair so I will be waiting nearly 2 further weeks for these. They are rude (suggesting initially it was MY fault for not paying £25 for their unbreakable lenses), don't seem to listen to a word you say, and simply do not care about customer satisfaction. This is, needless to say, the last time I will ever use them, I don't care how cheap they are. If you read this review and still choose to buy from them, don't say you weren't warned. Look how many other negative reviews there are. Don't. Use. This. Company.

I ordered single vision for distance, single vision for reading, and bifocals for distance and mid-distance. I had a slight issue with the bifocal lenses being somewhat thicker than the single vision, so had to return them for adjustment - but this was all done speedily and the overall service was highly commendable. The frames have all worn well over the 3 years - excellent value glasses - and a good service too. What more could you want?

Having been to the local optician and had my eyes tested I purchased one pair of general use specs (mainly because of the high prices). I saw an ad for PerfectGlasses.co.uk and took a look. I was so impressed with the range of glasses and prices I thought I'd try them out. Within a week my glasses arrived. Exactly as I had ordered and of the correct prescription at a fraction of the cost at High Street opticians. I will definitely be going back to this site in the future.

I received this message after paying for my glasses as advertised online.

"We have received an update from our laboratory, and due to the prescription being slightly complex in nature, the lenses for your new pair of glasses would cost an additional of £9.85 each pair..."

The same prescription was processed in the normal way by SelectSpecs with no request for an extra payment.

I don't like being taken for a fool.

Waiting on a full refund through PayPal.

Latest update: After 7days of non communication waiting for a refund and upgrading my claim to Paypal - hey presto! Perfectglasses contacted me saying my email had "got stuck in their spam filter" and finally offered me my glasses at no extra cost.
I refused because I had already gone to a different supplier (DirectSpecs) but have now been told it will take 7 WORKING DAYS to process my refund.

It really does not get any worse than this for a so-called online supplier.

Disgusted.

Perfect glasses is a great company. The website is really user friendly and it is so easy to find the perfect glasses. The frames are top quality as are the lenses. You can even make your own short list of frames The customer service team are really helpful and you are updated every step of the way. The delivery company they use are really fast. I have bought numerous pairs of glasses from perfect glasses and they are just so comfortable. The prices are excellent and even if you don't understand the prescription you get from the optician you can just scan it and email it to them. I have recommended perfect glasses to all my friends and family. I cannot praise them enough. 100% perfection
