The company has garnered significant negative feedback, primarily due to its misleading portrayal as an official government site for passport applications. Customers frequently express frustration over being charged for services that are available for free, leading to feelings of deception and financial loss. While some users report positive experiences with customer service, particularly in securing refunds, these instances are overshadowed by widespread concerns regarding transparency and the handling of personal information. Overall, the sentiment reflects a strong warning against using the service, emphasizing the need for clearer communication and ethical practices.

All this company did was collect my $38.00 and then was unavailable for questions. I figured out that I may not be able to renew my Passport online due to losing my original. I tried calling to see if this was true and received a busy signal - over and over and over. Trying to get a hold of someone via phone and email is fruitless. I am so mad at myself for being this stupid, meaning I just gave away free money. I would say they should be ashamed of themselves, but they don't care; they got another sucker - me. I have since gone to the postoffice and my passport is in route. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
The site leads you to believe you can process your application through them to receive your passport (read the fine print when they send you an email). When I turned my application in to the National Passport Processing in Philadelphia, Pa. It was returned because they did not receive a payment. When I called they explained to me that was not their site and Passport USA should not be allowed to do that. I will be turning them in to the Attorney Generals office. They said they would refund my $38 which is a membership fee to them. You don't need to go through them, go to your local post office. When and if I receive my refund I will update my review
DO NOT USE THIS SITE thinking that you are filling out your application online. They charge you for a form that you can fill out for free, and you STILL need to pay for your passport fee. They literally just took the few dollars I had set aside for our fee. Complete ripoff. I can't believe I just fell for this.
Do not use this company. I would select no stars if that were an option. I applied for a renewal passport with them 3 months ago. I didn't receive any kind of confirmation from them so I followed up with phone calls and emails with no response for almost a week. I went ahead and applied for my passport through a government site and then cancelled my application with Passport USA and requested a refund. At first they refused, stating they had already started working on my application. Bull$#*!. After additional discussion they agreed to refund and promises that would happen within 30 days. It didn't, with their blame placed on the company who processes. More bull$#*!.
This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Unbelievably bad.
Completed a legitimate US passport application on this site and paid the processing fee, only to learn when presenting the form at the Post Office that Passport-USA is a scam. Postal agent called and confirmed with the U.S. State Department.
This is a fraudulent site. If you are on autopilot, thinking you are filling out your form online, don't. I feel like an idiot. They collect your info - fill out your credit reports if you fall for their ploy.
Somehow I slipped from PA Real ID for my auto registration into PassportUSA. NOW I JUST GOT MY FIRST UNAUTHORIZED PURCHASE ON MY CREDIT CARD THAT THEY HAVE. They are evil people in the Philippines stealing information from US citizens! Thank goodness my bank caught it. I have ID Theft Protection as a benefit with my job. THESE ARE EVIL PEOPLE IN THE PHILIPPINES! DO NOT USE THEM!
Didn't realize this was not associated with the Government passport services. Once I realized this and tried to get a refund, I was told this is a service providing me with help in the passport process. WHO NEEDS HELP? IT'S SPELLED OUT ON THE GOVERNMENT WEBSITE. My lack of attentiveness cost me $35. Don't go near this site.
Not helpful AT ALL! No customer service ever available. There is a number that always makes you leave a message and nobody ever calls you back. The directions leave you with more questions. Save your money and do not use this website.
They take your money and then charge a $2.97 overseas payment fee. Why would a USA passport service be billing from ANOTHER COUNTRY? Yes it's the top of the search in Google and looks legit. Don't do it! Thankfully I rushed to my bank and they gave me the charges back and filed a fraud paper. Such a shame this is still allowed online to scam others
As others here have stated, this is a total scam. A complete and total SCAM.
DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY your information. They will take your information and $99 and that is the last you will hear from them... until your credit card is fraudulently used and your identity is STOLEN!
If you do a Google search on how to renew or get a passport--this website is the FIRST to show up and it looks legitimate. Shame on Google and other search engines for allowing that. There should be a 'trigger' of some sort that Google and other search engines activate to prevent scam sites from popping up first. Smart people get scammed all the time simply because they trust what they find on searches and don't stop to think about it before they forge ahead and give away all of their information.
There is only one thing you need to do to get a passport: Go onto the US State Department website (eforms.state.gov) and download the form. It is a very simple process and you don't need anyone else to help you through it. The legitimate US Government website is easy to navigate. If you need the passport quickly, they offer expedited services for an additional fee.
I write this on behalf of my husband who caught on to the scam after he had given his credit card information but BEFORE he entered his social security number. That request tipped him off. He then IMMEDIATELY called his credit card company and they canceled his credit card, filed a 'dispute' of the charge (they will reverse it, guaranteed!) and he is filing a fraud report with the bank as well. So no harm no foul for him because he caught it before he gave information that would cause identity theft.
Good news is that they're giving me my $38 back. But this is the situation. I thought this was the official passport site for passport renewal. (Clever url and misleading) I paid the $ online on a Visa card. Then filled out the application online. Printed it and mailed it to a legitimate passport office. Two weeks later I received a letter from the US Dept of State National Passport Office saying my passport was on hold because I owed $110. I phoned the National Passport Office and told them I had paid $38 to Passport USA. The man said, "oh, yes we have heard of them doing this to other people." In my case, they were operating under the guise that they supplied me with a PDF of the passport application--obviously a loophole they can use for screwing people. And although I didn't get further scammed, from reading other comments, many people paid more money. If this happens to you, call them (their number is on the first email you will receive from them). You will have choices as to what number to press for various services. Just press 1. I only waited seconds before someone answered. The individual was polite & didn't argue with me when I said they were not a legitimate service. Apologized for my inconvenience and within 30 minutes I received an email that a refund was on its way to my Visa card.
I was pleasantly surprised in how wonderful everyone was at this location! Seriously, wonderful people and made the entire process easy and stress free! I had an appt at 8am. I was OUT by 8:50am. Every person smiled and genuinely, had pleasant all over them! Go HERE!
Thanks Hudson st for making my experience a great one. I appreciate good service.
These people at easypassportusa are scammers that cannot issue a passport they will just steal your money and your identity. Go to the US Post Office and obtain your passport. There is no better way. These rip offs at easypassportusa should be arrested and put into jail where they can do no more damage and break no more laws.
www.easypassportusa.com are a bunch of low life thieves.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!
Paid these scammers $99 and all my info. When they were going to submit my info they said I owed another $110. Totally upset with the fine print and No Refund according to their fine print. So I'm out $99. I will not continue process with them. Principle of the matter. DONT USE THESE CHEATERS.
Man I got duped! To my chagrin I dumbed up on this one! The very thing I try to watch for I got zinged on! Thats read the fine print! It was only after mailing the documents off did my eyes fall to the line were it says they are not associated with any government agency, AARP IS RIGHT! If it looks to good to be true then it probably is not worth the time and money to be bothered with it! CANT GET SOMETHING FOR NOTHING! I will be requesting a refund!
Total bull$#*! that you pay these huge fees ($68), for access to FREE documents that you could have printed yourself. It wasn't until I received the receipt for aforementioned fees that you see the disclaimer at the bottom that states they are not affiliated with ANY government agency. My husband and I each still had to pay the $110, plus $35 for my husband's form to be processed. I will be reporting to BBB.
Horrible scam. Should be arrested and put in jail. I don't know why this site exists. STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY.
You do not realize that this is a scam until the very end, when you have filled out the passport document and then have to purchase the completed document! It looks like an official government application... I am going to complain mightily to them to get a refund, and the contact the State Department!
I got duped and I was ticked... at the organization and at myself for falling for their scheme. However! I immediately emailed their support, stating that their site was misleading and requested a full refund, and that they do not pass on my info to third parties. Their fine print states you can make this request.
And what to my wondering eyes should appear in my Inbox the very next day? A FULL REFUND confirmation! I was shocked!
Will they sell my info off? Remains to be seen. But I certainly can't complain about their customer service.
Answer: Definitely a scam. Dispute the charge to your bank or credit card company.
Answer: File a Fraud Alert with any 1 of the 3 credit report bureaus as a precaution. US Gov has on-line guidance for this.
