PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

2 parts ordered, a bit more money and better quality. I received 2 different part numbers that totaled $23.00 less money on their website but I was still charged for the more expensive parts I orginally ordered. I was also held responsible for return shipping costs. Tried reaching customer service 3 times but the line was disconnected after being on hold for 15 minutes each time. Buyer Beware!

Parts shipped fast - served the purpose. However,, it's been 3 weeks and no sign of my core deposit being returned. No real phone number or email available, horrible customer service - that pretty much sucks

Do not buy brake kits
August 11, 2020

I ordered a kit of rotors and pads for a 2018 explorer and they sent the wrong rear rotors. Everything else fit fine. Had to purchase new rear rotors from local parts dealer to get the thing back on the road. PartsGeek will not take back just the rear rotors without me sending the whole kit back and with me paying the shipping. That's impossible now that the front pads and rotors are installed. They admit it is their mistake but will not take back or credit me for the wrong parts they sent. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE GEEKS.

I ordered a part for my vehicle that ended up being the wrong part. I am active duty military and was deployed last minute for 30 days just after the part arrived. When I got back I attempted to return the product and was told they will not take it back because it was past 30 days. I explained my situation (active duty military & deployed) and explained it was not possible for me to make that deadline. I was rudely told there are no exceptions. The product is brand new and in the original box. I don't understand why it would be a burden to them to take it back. Way to go PartsGeek. I will not be ordering from them again and would not recommend them to anyone.

At no fault of my own Parts Geek sent me a open packaged with a manufactured flawed product that was a CAPA Certified Chrome Front Bumper End, It appears they sent me someone else returned product that had the same problem. Parts Geek is fast to take your money but slow to want to provide a Pre paid return shipping label for damage products that was at no fault of my own. For these reason of not willing to work with me in a timely manner I will not be using Parts Geek again. Parts Geek is holding my money hostage at this time, with that being said I will be opening up a credit card dispute over this matter. No customer should have to pay for return shipping on products that were sent to them damaged from there warehouse. Update Finally after a 30 days and a lengthy battle with parts geek they finally covered my shipping cost and a full refund was issued for the damaged parts. I will not use this company again due to the customer service problems they have with there return policy on damaged merchandise.

Bought some shocks from them thru eBay and they canceled the order: not in stock. And they said I canceled the order! Beware, these guys are drop shippers. And once they got you they spam you to death with huge bulk emails 3-4 times a week. I asked them to stop and no luck. EBay can't even get them to stop. Buy from them at your own risk!

This is the 2nd time ive ordered from them and the 2nd time it has been wrong, then you have to return the item before the correct part can be shipped, and this never happens. Seems as if they will just ship out any part they have on hand then it is your problem to deal with.

The worst service
July 31, 2020

I found a part for my daughters vehicle on their website the amount was $22.00 when I placed and confirmed the order, my checking account was charged $97.00. The part was delivered and it was the wrong part I called to have the issue resolved and the first woman I spoke to after holding for 20 mins could barely speak English told me that it was my fault and hung up on me the 2nd call which was another 25 min hold a guy named Bryan was on the line VERY RUDE he explained to me that it would take 24-48 hours b4 I would be contacted and then it would be up to 14 days b4 the money would be back on my card!

They can ship u any part they want regardless of what you actually ordered and you will still have to pay the return shipping. I ordered two brake caliper kits based on the contents shown in the picture in their ad. The kit I received did not contain the parts shown in their picture and I'm still expected to pay return shipping.
NOTE: I noticed that every complaint filed with the BBB was responded to by Parts Geek and they agreed to refund shipping cost in most every case. Pain in the $#*! to go thru for a return but may be worth it if you paid a lot for shipping. They have an overall rating of 1.4 on several websites so best plan is do business somewhere else.

I paid $40.00 for 2 day air shipping and my starter was sent by ground and took 10 days. Save your money, time, and irritation and order your parts where you can see them and inspect them before purchase.
I wonder who keeps the extra money for air freight?

Return suck
July 22, 2020

Never again. Truck is down. They advertise a good inexpensive alternator. Wrong one shows up. The don't pay for return shipping even if it's the wrong part, unless you want to wait til they investigate, could be two weeks. Meanwhile I'm down. What should have cost $174 now is costing me 400. Had to order a more expensive one locally, pay for the return of the wrong one, of course I have to wait for the refund so who the hell knows when that will happen. Buy local folks.

Good morning Julian,
I talked to someone else yesterday about how Partsgeek needed my tracking numbers so they could process my refund quicker.
I also sent pictures to them showing the tracking number returns and pictures asked of me from the return of the parts. Then they asked me for the tracking numbers again, which shows me NO ONE IS READING MY EMAILS! Does your company take the time to understand what the customer even needs or is trying to do? Since you are a different rep from yesterday, did you just get this passed off to you to respond to me?
After all of this talking to customer service, nothing different has been done, which was the point I was trying to drive home in the first place. This has nothing to do with you, as you are a different rep from who I talked to yesterday. But, Partsgeek as a whole is terrible with their customer service. I work in customer service, and I would hang my head in shame if this is the level I gave someone else when talking to them.
I will NEVER order from this company ever again. No one I know will ever order from this company again. I am going to copy/paste this entire email into the Partgeek.com Facebook page to give a big "customer beware" from ordering from you.
I understand that my return to the company has to be on my own dime because that is what it states on the ordering page of your website, but $77 in return shipping for parts I can not use because of reasons beyond my control is ludicrous. That would make anyone second guess from ordering from you because if the part needs to go back, return shipping makes it not worth returning the part, which may be what you're going for anyways, I don't know. Judging from this mess I've had to deal with, it sure feels like it. Consumers should feel that buying from you is a "trust" between them and you and anything they need will be taken care of from a reputable company, which this does not feel like.
Again Julian, this is not a rant aimed at you. You have done nothing wrong except being passed another customers ticket that goes against what the last person said he/she would do for me. I am left at square one with NOTHING being done for me again.
I am completely unsatisfied with all of this and my purchase. The way all of this has been handled makes me just shake my head. Unacceptable Partsgeek.com. Unacceptable.
