Parts Avatar generally enjoys a positive reputation among its customers, noted for its fast shipping, competitive pricing, and a user-friendly website that simplifies the ordering process. Many customers express satisfaction with the quality of parts received and appreciate the extensive selection available. However, concerns arise regarding delivery delays, issues with customer service responsiveness, and complications with returns, particularly when items are not as expected. While some customers report a willingness to continue using the service despite occasional setbacks, consistent improvements in communication and order fulfillment could enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Ordered 2 rotors, pads, and caliper guide pins. I paid extra to have express shipping as I depend on the vehicle for work. Not only did the order arrive 5 days late, one of the rotors also had corrosion. Although it's just surface rust, I paid for brand new rotors, not scratch and dent items.
I was offered the rotors to be refunded, however no effort was done on their part to reimburse for the late shipment. Multiple emails went back and forth, promising the management team would provide a resolution, but nothing. If I order another single rotor, I would have to pay for shipping as it is under $99, their minimum amount for their shipping policy
Overall I am extremely disappointed with the service that this Canadian company has provided. I will be going back to RockAuto from this point on.
I 2 rear rotors and 1 front and 1 rear showed up in the shipment. I had to order it again and go through the hassle of returning the original, and when the second reorder showed up, it was also a front rotor and not a rear rotor. I double checked everything. Now I need to do the whole process again.
This is the second time I've experienced this issue with a delivery. According to them, the package was left in the delivery room, but they do not provide the locker number. Last time, it took a couple of days for them to send it to me.
This time, they have stopped responding to my emails. I paid for expedited delivery, but it has already been four days and I still have no information. I also cannot return the goods because I never actually received them.
I live in a modern condo building, and if you do as well, I would not recommend using their delivery service. I have no complaints about the quality of the parts, but you may need to go to the pickup point yourself.
I hope they take this feedback into account and improve their service.
The shipping box arrived on time. The two brake rotors inside are unsafe. The sliders on the calipers are all seized. I found one banjo washer in the bottom of the shipping box, the other in the open blue bag with the caliper. The springs are non existent. When I contacted the chat line Aldon? Was more interested in the vin # of my truck than the problem with calipers or missing parts. He wanted verification from the dealer that the sliders in the calipers were seized. Not interested at all in a possible remedy. One star is overating the whole situation.
I ordered the correct heater motor on their web site. The picture on their website matches the heater motor I needed but the one that they sent did not. I could only contact them via email in hopes of getting the correct motor rushed out before the weekend as it was winter and I needed my car. I wasted a bunch of time emailing someone information and pictures and he would never understand the picture was correct and the part was wrong. I asked several times for them to call me but they only communicate through email.
I gave up on getting it switched quickly and ordered the more expensive one from the dealership but it could be gotten overnight.
They finally sent me a return shipping label for purolator after I'd given up and used the online option to get a return label from Canada Post.
I shipped it back to them with their box and their purolator ship label and it never left the purolator depot in Mississauga. I contacted them to have them help with purolator and they did not response so I had purolator do an official search and after they verified it was lost then I could enter a claim with purolator which proved to be a waste of time as I'm not deemed the shipper Parts Avatar has to file the claim. So here we are 6 weeks since buying ordering the right part and wasting far to much time trying to get this resolved with parts avatar and purolator.
Sold part that did not fit vehicle. Paid 50% of the value of the part just to send it back. Extremely poor experience.
I purchased an alternator from Parts Avatar and returned it to the Mississauga store immediately, without even opening the box, because I no longer needed it. Despite this, I was charged a 15% restocking fee. I understand this may be their return policy, but it honestly makes no sense in this situation — the item was unopened and returned right away.
When you compare this with Amazon's hassle-free returns, it's hard to see what advantage Parts Avatar offers to customers. From my experience, there isn't one.
The items were packed very poorly. The spark plugs were loose inside the box and moving around during shipping. Spark plugs are delicate components and should be secured properly because the electrode gap is very precise. If they hit against each other in transit, the gap can be altered. There is no easy way to confirm this just by looking, and I will only know if there is a problem if my car starts misfiring after installation. This is not acceptable packaging for such sensitive parts.
I also purchased a "universal" spark plug tool in the same order, but it is 21 mm and does not fit standard automotive spark plugs, which are typically between 14 mm and 16 mm. I do not understand how this can be labeled as universal. Since the spark plugs and the tool were bought together, I would expect some level of compatibility check or at least a warning. As it stands, the tool is useless for my application and a complete waste of money.
Overall, very disappointed with both the packaging and the misleading description of the tool.
I received the package before expected date. Open it up to find a used part. Box looked as it was wet at one time and opened. The fuel pump had figure print of grease on it. Never installed as not sure if it is any good. Why was it returned. Not interested in paying $300.00 for a used part.
Extremely poor service and unacceptable delays in delivering the parts, which caused me a financial loss. No compensation was offered, and I strongly do not recommend this service to anyone
The worst shipping experience I ever have, it took five business days to get from Mississauga to Toronto.when contact them, they said that when the order is ready to ship out I will get an email and it will take 5 to 8 business days. I said I will not be buying from you again
Delivery confirmation via email but no delivery was made and still has not been made
I Have contacted visa to submit a claim
Don't waste your time ordering from here. I paid for rapid delivery, yet it was delivered 2 days later and late in the evening - so 3 days late. When I checked with customer service, Bruce was rude and kept trying to end our chat without answering my questiion: when will it be delivered? He had no clue and did not want to check. Horrible experience. Horrible company.
I chose to have this package delivered to the back door as the front door is not my unit in my house, the delivery driver didnt listen or read the instructions, left it in the front which faces the road and my package was stolen. I was told i would get a response is 24-48 hours from sunday, its now thursday with no answer still. Doubt ill order from here again.
These guys delivered my parts to the wrong address and instead of being proactive to get me what I need fast I've been in an email loop waiting days for a response. It's been over a week since I've brought this up and still no resolution.
A duplicate order was processed by PartsAvatar and now I am having trouble getting contact with the retailer.
Parts Avatar Parts lookup tool returns Parts that are incompatible. They then take now ownership for the error and you are stuck footing a retun bill AND the massive inconvenience
Usually have good luck with Parts Avatar but when to go put new pad on my Volvo and the ones they shipped me are not even close to the right fit. Confirmed with an agent on their chat with the vin # and could off any explanation but is been escalated. It's been two days and I have a car with the brakes torn apart and no follow up to fix it.
Disappointed with the website: the image shows 2 wipers, they were the only selection for me showing 2 wipers in the images, but only 1 was delivered. Looking back I can see my error, but PartsAvart needs to get this corrected. Bosch EVO.
Lets start by saying this is the second oil pressure switch ordered through Parts Avatar, the first was the wrong sensor, not an oil pressure sensor and not a sensor for my truck period. This is a reattempt. And I won't be ordering from them again unless there's a dire emergency. When I ordered this particular oil pressure sensor on Nov 18, I had 3 options. To pick it up at the warehouse in 1-2 days, as I usually do, to have it shipped normal priority, which would have delivered it on the 24-35th, or rapid delivery, which had a delivery date of the 20-21st for an added cost. I wanted to do the install on the weekend, so like a fool I paid extra for rapid delivery. On the 19th I got an email saying it was delivered. It wasn't. On the 20th I got a notice it was shipped it wasn't. On the 22nd I spoke to customer service to find out what happened, he didnt care, said it hadn't shipped yet. On the morning of the 24th, I got a shipping notice again, and finally got the part the evening of the 24th. Parts Avatar is routinely wrong on shipping dates and its 50/50 on if the Parts right, and now I get to wait for another week until the following weekend, missing decent weather waiting on this part just so I can do the work in sub zero temps praying that this is the right sensor. Once upon a time Parts Avatar was semi okay for simple parts, but somewhere in the last few years they started shipping out junk. Even when you speak to customer service and they swear up and down that your Parts are confirmed for your vehicle, there's a good chance theyre wrong. Now an oil pressure sensor isn't a complicated part, but we'll see.
Answer: They have terrible customer service and wont stand behind their mistakes (which they will make) or products. Would not recomend this place.
