DO NOT DO BUSINESS! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE? HELD MY MONEY $2000. 00+ FOR OVER ONE MONTH! Ordered 2 antique chairs in February. Delivery was to be March. Contacted customer service multiple times to be given the run around by incompetent customer service reps. Each gave a different reason why they couldn't find my order, which stated as shipped but I was not in possession... this is now April. Was told I would receive partial refund, have not. Was told I was absolutely justified in my frustration, then was sent yet another prefab email stating that they would deactivate my account due to what they considered an inappropriate conversation with a sales rep. This company receives an F-. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN
3 weeks later and my order is still " pending shipment", Just be honest and say its back ordered when the order is placed!
I think people need to buy items from One Kings Lane and Joss & Main and other similar sites with extreme caution.
You generally have no clue as to the brand of furniture or kitchenware or other items you are buying which is a red flag. What if you think you are buying something with the same quality as a high quality brand like Stickley but it is made in China?
Also I find it VERY suspicious what they list as the "retail" price that is crossed out to make it look like you are getting a bargain. What is the basis for this retail price? If it is inflated they are misleading consumers and could face legal action
Rude customer service. Ordered two items and after waiting for over a month, got an email saying they were no longer available. I had used a first time customer promotion and when I asked if I could get a new promo to replace it, they refused and were snarky. When I appealed again, they ignored me. After being so used I excellent customer service from sites like Amazon and zulily, would never shop here again not recommend. After this, am also suspicious of their price and quality claims.
I purchased an item after being lured into thinking I could pay $9.95 for shipping and not have to pay shipping again for 30 days for future orders. Not so. I went to order more items...$9.95 for shipping. Not worth it.
I don't usually post reviews. Felt compelled to do so today thanks to the excellent customer service from this company. I returned an item months ago but never received a credit. Suddenly remembered today and called them. The customer service rep (Terence) was very apologetic and promptly processed my request for refund. Keep up the good work One Kings Lane!
These folks are the WORST. I have never experienced such poor customer service--after purchasing over $7K and complaining about my couch not arriving after 7 weeks of waiting, the rep was snarky rude and basically asked me why don't I just cancel. So, I did along with all other pending orders! They don't need MY or YOUR money. DO NOT order from here.
Bought a nice large carpet and home accent which we are pleased with.
The cheese board and knives on the other hand we damaged and had a 14 day return policy which we didn't manage to meet so stuck with it.
Delivery was fine (we were in no rush).
This website is a total rip off. They sell things for twice the price you can find the same items other places such as amazon. I bought faux moose antlers for $250.00. They came in a box from China. They are cheap looking and non-refundable. Before I got them, I also ordered a shoe shine kit for $69.00. The same kit is on Amazon for $34.00. Even at $34.00 I wouldn't be happy with it. The brushes are literally 2.5 inches long. It is cheap looking and made for a doll. The other items I ordered still have not even been shipped after a month and a half. I would not buy anything from this site. Whoever does the marketing is a genius. The site is beautifully done. But the items are junk. Stay away.
I was very impressed with this website's coverage of discounted merchandise opportunities in home furnishings and design. I am undertaking several redecorating projects in my home, so everyday I eagerly perused their daily emails of sales. I tentatively ordered decorative cushions from two separate sales, and I was very impressed with the quality and design. But I was always puzzled and concerned that very expensive furniture pieces often did not identify the manufacturer or provide information enabling customers to discern quality. I also noted that the website did not seem at all oriented to customer service, despite obvious large investments in software and merchandising that creates a great web-surfing experience.
I continued ordering small items tentatively, and two sets of pantry storage jars I ordered two months ago have still not arrived. A cashmere hat was disappointing, small and skimpy. And of course, all items are final sale, no returns.
I then decided to check out reviews of the website, and I found all of the extremely negative reviews here. I immediately canceled my email subscription and deleted the app. This company IS a scam. It is irresponsible to offer expensive items with little descriptive information and "retail prices" that are bogus! Not to mention all the extensive problems that customers on this site have reported with poor delivery and horrendous customer service. While I had some good experience with low cost items, I cannot support this company and will never order from it again.
I cannot say in words that are fit for public airing what i think of this website. I ordered a buffet for my daughter the first week of November as a combo bday/xmas gift. As of December 21 she has yet to receive it and they will not refund my money. They have no concern for their customers satisfaction and they feel absolutely no responsibility to ensure delivery of their products. They are shysters and none should do business with them
I ordered a Christmas gift for my son in law in mid November. With the initial confirmation, I was told that it would ship Dec. 10. Then I was told later in December (can't remember the exact date), but still before Christmas. Checked the status today and now it says it will ship January 9. Nearly 2 months after placing the order? After contacting them, I received an email apologizing for "any inconvenience this may have caused". No explanation, no offer to help speed it up, no offer to find out what the delay might be... nothing! I am so mad I could scream. Sorry, sorry shipping policies and sorry, sorry, sorry customer service!
They could likely saddle up a donkey with your order and have it arrive sooner than their shipping. This company's shipping policies and service is unbelievably SLOW!
DO NOT ORDER FROM ONE KINGS LANE. By far the worst, most unprofessional furniture store I've ever dealt with. Two months ago I ordered a console table which took them forever to ship and then it was the wrong color. When I returned the table, OKL said they did not have the table in the correct color and that I would have to order another item. After finding a replacement item on their site, I ordered a 2nd console table with white glove delivery service. What a joke! They confirmed a delivery date and the day before said delivery date, they called to cancel. Two weeks pass and still no table and no updated delivery. After numerous emails with OKL customer service they inform me that the table is lost and it will take another 4 to 6 weeks to locate one. During this entire time my credit card has already been charged. Bottom line: The table was never located, I had to twist someone's arm for a refund and you should never never never order from One Kings Lane.
Very bad experience with OneKingsLane! I signed up with them and as a first timer they offered me a one time 25% discount. I found some Le Crueset bakeware and because of the great discount, placed a large order. Minutes after I placed my first order, my credit card was used in thousands of dollars worth of fraudulent purchases. My credit card company called me and we had to cancel my card. I told them that the purchase from OneKings Lane was ok though but since they take over a month to ship their items, by the time they actually charged the card, it wouldnt go through and so they cancelled my order. No emails, no contact whatsoever. Just cancelled it. I sent a complaint to customer service and was told that 1). The credit card fraud couldn't POSSIBLY have come from us. 2) We sent you NUMEROUS automated notifications asking for another credit card (liars!) 3) Heres a 20 dollar credit toward your next purchase with us! Woo hoo!
With all the great online discounters out there, why would anyone shop with a horrible company like OneKingsLane? Fraud, condescending customer service, flat out lying? Really?
. I found a chest and the dimensions and description seemed off/incorrect. I called a placed an Inquiry/Clarification that was to be coming that day. The sale was going to end so I placed my order. If the chest was actually the 24"x18"x26" and not the 53"x20"x32" I expected I would make it work. The inquiry was received 3 days later confirming my original expectations so was delighted. What was delivered was a table not shown or pictured anywhere in the sale. I too contacted OKL and they have stalled for 3 weeks. They offered the 30% discount to keep a table I never ordered or wanted (it's ugly!) and offered a refund. The issue is they "tried" to get another chest - bogus - I bought the one offered and pictured. By sending the inquiry I Gave them an opportunity to check the price, size and item - they had no objections or problems. Now the price was an error in my favor - again my inquiry gave them time to deny the price. OKL has an ethical responsibility to honor my purchase and likely a legal obligation. OKL needs to put their big girl/boy panties on and make this right. If they won't make this right I will exercise my right to free speech and advise their customers to shop at trustworthy sites but not OKL. Too sad - they should make it right.
One Kings Lane appears to have great deals but their items are defective. And, sadly, all online purchases are "final sale only".

I found an amazing deal on Tourance blankets. When they arrived, the labels were marked with a big black "D" indicating defective. Every time they are washed they either shrink or contort (and will no longer be useable).
I eventually ordered an upholstered ottoman that is strictly for looks, never touched. The buttons were not sewn on, but glued. After 3 months, the "folds" in the fabric that give the tufted look is cut and the backing is coming out.
The ottoman was ordered with regular shipping. But when my order was "shipping confirmed", "white glove shipping" of $60 was required. I contacted One Kings Lane and explained that it was not needed since the ottoman would be 3 feet from my front door and there are no steps to my house. One Kings Lane still required me to pay the extra shipping charge. The total shipping: $120.
I ordered some glasses and they took over a month to arrive and then one was broken. When I contacted Customer Service they said the item was no longer available and they would process a refund. I now have a set of 5 glasses--ridiculous!
Good products, but I didn't like the fact that when signing up or referring a friend they said I'd get store credit, but didn't mention that there would be a minimum charge in order to get it (maybe I missed it in the tiny, tiny small print)...
