I have gotten a few things form One Kings Lane, and over all, it hasn't been as bad as some reviewers have said. Furniture was sent on the appropriate date and arrived intact; it's good quality stuff and ALMOST as described. It's the "almost" that keeps OKL from getting more stars. They just don't get the colors right. The chair I ordered was supposed to be beige. It was a light greenish-gray. The ottoman was supposed to be made of light rattan. It was dark. You would think that these people could at least have good photography, since there is no store. I mean, that's it. There's just the photograph. You can never see the product. You can only see the picture. And it's misleading. That's just, well, wrong. Just wrong.
Saw a table for 600 bucks and they required you to buy the white glove service for an additional $200 bucks. Stay away. They lure you in which a competitive price but won't sell it unless you buy the white glove service. It's a scam and should be illegal as its not written on their web site.

I ordered two framed 'archival' quality line drawings of bees that look like they were pages taken out of an old textbook. What I received was a laser print made to look like it came out of a textbook. The frame is a cheap plastic like the ones are moms used to purchase from Avon! $150 for two pictures that probably cost $1.25 to make :(. I used to really like OKL, but the quality has gone down hill. I will never order from them again.

One Kings Lane used to have good prices, but every time I Google up a product, I find it available for less elsewhere. Example: these 3 baskets I saw today on OKL cost $115.00

Most of the merchandise now is the same-old same-old, recycled here and there in the "Western Ranch Escape" or the "Brooklyn Loft"... well you know I'm talking about...
It's fun to peruse, like looking at Veranda or House Beautiful. The site is pretty and stylish, but I buy very little these days from OKL.
I bought a console table, painted, maybe made of rattan? When I opened the box, the fumes were powerful and toxic. I also called to see about getting some missing hardware but no luck. (I have seen these same pieces over and over.)
Speaking of toxic, the piece was... drumroll please... from China. Way too many items are, indeed, from China. Like most other shopping sites, the origins usually clearly let you know if something is from the USA, or France, or England... but the usual note of origin provided is sadly, "imported".
Enough already! Due to quality, environmental and human health, and our economy, OKL(and all retailers) should tell us exactly where parts are made and the finish product is assembled. I live in North Carolina and try to support our state's furniture business. I have also learned that "made in the USA" often means "assembled in the USA".
Does anyone have feedback on the USA-made Skyline Furniture line that seems to inundate OKL, Amazon, and many other internet decor sites? I have been please with a few headboards, even though the products are not eco-friendly. Also, I wonder what is actually made in USA, vs. assembled. (I do not think OKL uses the Skyline name... just "made in USA.)
If you have tried any furniture, I am curious about the comfort. I sat in a Skyline upholstered slipper chair once, and it was hard.
Nutshell: Fun to look, prices high, much of the goods sketchy.

This company had good deals during their first year in business. Now they sell overpriced crap with misleading descriptions. I have only had one good experience here and that was ages ago. The worst was when they delivered 4 dining chairs to my office instead of my home. I did not screw up and have it sent there by mistake - it was all the company's fault; I had one small order sent to my office a couple of years ago and for some crazy reason that's the address they used. They finally picked them up. After three weeks of asking them to redeliver to my apartment, the idiots sent the chair to my office again. Two of the boxes were open, they were the wrong chairs and they smelled horrible. I canceled the order and finally got a refund.
Customer service was rude to me during every single communication even though they are the ones who screwed up. They lied multiple times throughout the process and falsely blamed fedex for everything. BUYER BEWARE! This company bites the big one. Oh, and shipping takes ridiculously long, even for small items. And everything they send smells weird.

Of course you have to know what you are buying and always shop around for the best price. Sometimes they have the best price -- sometimes not, Recenty they featured a chandelier that was supposedy 40% off, I went to the item's website and found the same chandelier and it was more -- so Kings Lane had the better price, Other times I found the item or similar items cheaper elsewhere, Do your homework and if you really need the option to return it -- better to pay more and have that option.

I haven't had good luck shopping on One Kings Lane. When I received the first order it was the incorrect item. The second order, 2 years later is, is broken in the box it came in. I immediately opened the box when it was delivered, emailed the company, didn't get a response, emailed them again and was sent an automated email saying they would get back to me within 24 to 36 hours. This company won't let you return items until you have a return authorization form from them. You only have so many days (14) to return merchandise so it they want to drag it out it makes things impossible to return. I am not shopping on their site again and would recommend other people to not use them as well.

Very unhappy with the SMELL of two fabric poufs (Karla Kilim Pouf and Rebecca Pouf); if you like fabric covered items in your house that smell like musty/moldy old warehouse then OKL is the place for you! I'm hoping over time, after a spell out in the warm sun that the smell will dissipate. Be advised. Stay tuned.

Omg I wish I would have read this... I called and asked customer service if I could pay expedited shipping in order to receive by Christmas they have me a flat out NO! I needed this item for my toddler who's twin is get tithe same item we already bought in a store. This item could have easily been shipped even one day early I would have received it prior to the fat mans arrival. It's now the 29th and I STILL don't have my item! I ordered it on the 19th shipped on the 23rd. My package was sitting in the FedEx terminal for 5 days during the holiday?!?!?!?!?!? I would love to return the item but of course... It's FINAL SALE!

I have never had such a bad experience with an online purchase in my life. Their customer service department is horrible and they have no desire of helping a customer resolve any issues to getting your product sent in a timely manner. Their inability to work effectively with the actual vendor sending the product is all but useless. I will never shop with them again and highly discourage anyone else from doing so.

I purchased a small side table recently along with a couple of other items but decided I would cancel the smaller items right after placing the order. However, when I called the customer service number, the office was closed, so I left a voice mail & also submitted an email online. By the the time I called the next morning, their customer service department had already taken care of my request to cancel the smaller items. After reading some terrible reviews of this company, I did have buyer's remorse because the item I ordered was a final sale & nonreturnable. However, the table was perfect--both beautiful & well made--and it arrived promptly. It was exactly like the photo & description on the website. I have to say that I had only a good experience in ordering from Kings Lane.

I've done a lot of furniture shopping in the last couple of years. Comparatively OKL has nice, modern products and decent prices (for what you're buying). My experience with customer service was always top notch.
Unfortunately I had too many interactions with their customer service because almost everything I bought was damaged or did not match the description in the listing. After receiving SO many damaged items I suspect that they are in fact selling "seconds", items that could not be sold in retail. Fortunately they were always very accommodating with refunds for anything I had issues with, even though they clearly state all sales are final. They were never able to replace. I will not use this company anymore because if I take the time to research and buy something I actually WANT that item. It's a waste of my time and energy, even with the refunds.

I have tried and tried to stop their emails. I did complain to them that unsubscribe does not stop them. I told them this was harassment and now the emails arriving are several a day. I will never ever buy a product from them. I am convinced they are now sending them on purpose. Horrible company. Any ideas?

Stay away. There prices are too high and then the shipping. I ordered 2 items and got 2 separate items there were other peoples orders with their names, address ect in the packing info. One of the customer service people I spoke with was at least apologetic. When I ask for a supervisor when the second box was not my order he was more concerned about getting back their merchandise which they had charged me for, not crediting me for "stuff" I did not order. Last time will purchase from them.

Horrible customer service! Over last few years I have had 5 transactions, 3 of which have been screwed up. First was a Baker table; I paid for it and 3 weeks later was told it was out of stock. Second screw-up was an item that had a 10% discount that was never applied. Third and last screw-up was a purchase that was apparently sent to the wrong townhouse in my condo development and has disappeared into thin air. I have just applied for a refund. Let's see how much time and effort I have to put in to make sure I get the correct refund.

I recently purchased 2 pieces of furniture from OKL. I received the first set of nesting tables and immediately knew I was had. It looked cheap and something I would not have accepted even if somebody offered it to me for free. The pics always look great and are COMPLETELY misleading. I was holding my breadth wondering what the next piece would like. No surprise. The more expensive EVERETT bench is a complete SHAM. The dimensions are misleading and unlike the pics ( all my friends thought it was beautiful) it looks like a doll bench, the seat is less than 15 inches and very uncomfortable.The wood looks nothing like the pics. Wow, what a SCAM and such a shame with a so called reputed site. How does this co. Stay in business?
