Purchased a bamboo cheese board and after one year of very light use it split apart. Although expensive, the board was poorly made. One Kings Lane would not accept responsibility for the product. I will not do business with them again.
A few days after posting this review Kings Lane offered a full refund. I was pleasantly surprised. Their effort has changed my opinion about their willingness to take responsibility.
I bought a straw hat from them and after wearing it twice it started to come apart, unfortunately it was after the 14 day return date. They sold me a defective item and refused to take it back.
After reporting One Kings Lane on Site Jabber, the company contacted me and refunded my money! Five stars for SiteJabber!

I ordered a dresser for my daughter. We paid for white glove delivery (there was no other choice). It was almost comically badly botched. The original delivery arrived without warning to the wrong address, despite a confirmation call the day before. It was supposed to go directly to the correct address, but never arrived - my daughter took off the day from work for the delivery. This was last week. It took days and phone calls to numerous agents (you cannot get the same person) to track the item down. They took off the delivery fee. It was confirmed to arrive yesterday - in a four hour window. My husband and I took time off work to take shifts waiting - it never arrived. An hour after the end of the window it arrived - and the delivery man refused to take it to the second floor, as it was no longer white glove! He also left the packaging including all the little white styrofoam she will be cleaning up for months I spoke to many many different customer service representatives and never got anywhere. Do not order from one Kings Lane

I purchased Leo 12-Drawer dresser (2700. 00) from One Kings Lane in 2013. Within one year, one of the pulls stripped and I had to order replacement. I now have same issue with different pull, and contacted OKL customer service to order another pull replacement. I was told that they no longer worked with this vendor, and couldn't help me with replacement request. I then asked for the name of company/manufacturer to contact on my own. I was then told due to privacy laws/contract, they could not provide me this information. I was offered 20.00 credit for the trouble. What? Who cares? All I want is to use my dresser properly. Not helpful, and very unhappy customer.

AFTER I SUBMITTED THIS REVIEW, I WAS CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY BY ONE KINGS LANE TEAM, AND THEY WORKED HARD TO GET ME RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM LISTED ABOVE. THEY WERE ABLE TO CONTACT VENDOR ON MY BEHALF, WHICH WASN'T SUCH AN EASY TASK FOR THEM TO DO. I RECIEVED TIMELY EMAILS LETTING ME KNOW STEP BY STEP ANY UPDATES TO RESOLUTION. I JUST RECEIVED BOX OF 13 PULLS VIA FED EX. GREAT WORK ONE KINGS LANE! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND. I AM CHANGING MY ONE STAR RATING TO 5 STAR!

Be careful when ordering to non-continental US addresses. The website does not publish any of the actual costs to Hawaii and Alaska but charges prices greater than even second day air. Delivery can take nearly 2 months. I am still waiting for an order placed on July 8th. It is now estimated to arrive on August 26th. When customer service was contacted, no one emailed back EVER until I emailed again, at which time they said they had emailed, but they really hadn't. As a means of answering my question regarding shipping costs to Hawaii, they sent me a link to the same page that says shipping is based on total spent... they obviously don't even read their own website to know it doesn't state how much shipping is. In short, expect to pay second day air prices for shipping that is clearly ground shipping and takes up to 2 months time. I will never shop at OKL again. OKL, if you want to do something about it, refund my shipping costs!

OKL has a bamboo tray listed for $71 - the very same tray is on sale at Pier 1, marked down from $9.95 to $7.96.
OKL has ridiculous prices on lots of things but this is the worst example I have come across.

One Kings Lane offers amazing products for the home and general lifestyle. The products are beautifully merchandised for a flawless presentation. The site provides great suggestions for use and inspiration for dreaming. I do sometimes wish they had better photos that display more of the product quality, scale and dimension. However their return policies and Customer Care team are stellar, so I've never had to worry about my purchase. I've always been provided seamless and top notch assistance when needed. If I could spend all day on One Kings Lane - I would.

I have ordered many times from OKL, but finally realized its pricing and advertising methods. If you notice they offer sets of things, flatware for example in sets of 5 or 10 but not 6 or 12. Granted vintage items may not always be in complete sets, it's expected. However, you'll find the same item in another set of 7 or 5 on another screen location, oftentimes on the same sale campaign. The problem is they've overpriced both sets so much that you pay many times over the price of the items. Sometimes they have the same product twice on the same sale campaign but with two different prices, but both are well overpriced.
I have examples in my home of items I've purchased over the years and some have been advertised on OKL. Two examples, I bought some bamboo trays back in the 80's at a chain retailer for about $1.99 each. OKL had the same trays at a set of four at upwards of $75.00 as "vintage". Also I have candlesticks I purchased at local department store back in the 70's. They are steel and brass. They costs about $10 each. Again, OKL advertised them as "vintage" at a price of about $100 for two. Just be careful on prices, they are way out whack oftentimes. Do comparison shopping online, locally or look in your own closet and home for similar things. I have purchased many things from OKL and later realized that they were way, way overpriced even most of the products were very good.

I love perusing one Kings lane for gifts and things for myself! Recently I ordered different color packs of paper straws and stainless steel reuasable straws. I like how they offer two packs of items too so you can stock up. Crossed checked the price on Amazon and OKL was cheaper! It's a good place for holiday gifts too! Purchased silicone cube ice trays as stocking stuffers for friends and they were a total hit and half off the price you see at sur la table!
Their vintage sections are awesome. They have stuff you would find at a cool antique store that is one of a kind... best part is, you don't have to go hunting at different stores to find that unique accent piece to personalize your space!
Contacted customer service about a vintage item and they went above and beyond with answering all my questions. I appreciated talking to a real person on the phone who helped me AND when I emailed an inquiry got a response the same day! That feels like a rarity with other companies.

I have used OKL for many years and have always been extremely satisfied with the quality of their products and customer service. Most recently ordered a set of Copper Moscow Mule mugs that arrived quickly and in time for a summer get together where the mugs were a hit! Ordering an additional set for larger parties.

I was referred to this site through friends and have become some what addicted! Sometimes products can take longer to receive but worth the wait. I did have an issue with my 2nd shipment of pillows but the customer service staff resolved faster than expected. I highly recommend to visit the site for ideas and unique finds.

I have spent most of my past week contacting your customer service team and I have never once had a reply. You state you have a 24-48 hour response time. I always wait the full 48 hours then am forced to call you. When I do, no-one shows any regard for my issue and tell me that the person who needs to help me is "on lunch". When I call back three hours later that person is still on lunch. I wish I had time for such luxuriously long lunches, but instead I am stuck on hold to you.
I ordered a $2,000 sofa from this site. I duly waited the six week delivery window. It arrived on the very very last day of that delivery window. The white glove team (an unhelpful scruffy bunch wearing grubby grey gloves) unpacked my sofa to see that it was incorrect - instead of the three pieces required for my sectional they had doubled up on the chaise and not sent the middle piece. When we called to find out where the missing piece was no-one knew, no-one seemed to think it was a big deal, no-one appreciated the inconvenience and frustration this caused. Over the past week and a half I have invested 10+ hours into trying to get this resolved and we still don't have a solution. The useless sofa pieces are still cluttering up my living room. Because there was no information about whether they could locate the missing piece for me i asked for a refund and to have the sofa picked up. No one has sorted this for me yet. Customer Service show a complete disdain for my situation. Zero care. They have my money and I don't have my sofa. At this stage it looks like I will never get my $2000 back and I am going to have to pay for someone to remove this ugly useless trash from my house.

It's happened often enough that now I know it's not a mistake -- it's the way they do business. An item is offered on a daily sale. You immediately order it. Then you are told within a day or so, sorry, it's not available. It's not that it's sold out -- it was simply never available for sale. At Christmas, I waited several weeks past due date (and the due dates are a joke) for an item that I'd ordered several of, as gifts. After repeated calls to Customer "Care," asking for a supervisor, being told none were available, always hearing "Well, we'll email the SELLER but we have no other way of contacting the seller" -- they finally said gosh, these just aren't going to exist. And when I pushed, one of the operators admitted OKL does not have nor stock any products nor do they have any info about availability nor do they make any special effort to get it -- you just wait and then they say sorry, it doesn't exist. I was one of their early customers and ordered consistently over the years and they really used to break their neck to help. Now they sound bored, offer you a $20 credit and don't seem to care. No way to escalate complaints (one day I sat on hold for 25 minutes after being told a supervisor was available -- finally, heard "oh, she's in another meeting.") No idea if the phone people even work for OKL. Corporate website has no info that I could find on who's in charge of customer service, operations. I'd say 50% of my last orders have either ended up being not available, or damaged, or not as described, or so overdue I and my clients (I help people decorate houses) couldn't wait. Far cry from the day when the woman who founded the company would call you personally to solve a problem.

So I had some original artwork I am looking to sell, one is a signed Charley Harper original lithograph, one is an illustration by Halston himself, all 12 first editions of Flair magazine framed in mint condition and 4 other beautiful prints. I thought I would try to become a vendor as I thought OKL was a chic site and that my items were of the same quality/value as the items on the OKL site. They sent me an e-mail saying they declined to work with me. I can't help but take that as an insult to my taste level and I will def. Be telling all my friends to boycott that company. Your loss OKL.
I ordered replacements for my damaged merchandise... received more damaged merchandise, even after asking them to inspect prior to shipping. Cheap crap is what they specialize in.

I ordered a JA Henkels Silvercap 14 piece knife set and instead there was a cheap set in the box. Side by side, the handles, the pieces and the block are all different. The best part is the box for the set I ordered says proudly the knives never had to be sharpened, and the set they switched them for came with a sharpener.

So I ordered 2 outdoor rugs for my front and back porch - same rug. They both came and they were the wrong color version that I ordered. They told me to return them for full refund, order the rug again and I would get the correct version. I did and it was the wrong rug again. Ordered the same rug 3 times to get the wrong rug 3 times. They will not get with their 3rd party vendor to fix the problem - they are shipping out the wrong rugs, offering you 15% to keep it, and then hoping you want it. IT IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They honestly do not care about me AT ALL.

Purchased many times from OKL over the years. Not sure what has happened here other than greedy management and owners landed a taste for money with a now inability to deliver product in so many many ways. Product description is at times in my opinion fraudulent. Packaging is by novices so merchandise arrives broken. Often unable to deliver products and do not communicate this to you leaving you hanging waiting for nothing... then when you call them your put on hold for eternity. Complete CRAP for customer service... yet they still troll the Internet for chumps. This site has become a joke in the industry. DO NOT GET SACKED HERE! Your better off to go to your neighbors garage sale or Goodwill. You will feel much better about what you come home with and the price you paid. Insulting company. I have quit them completely. I shop Rue LaLa for overstock or Onesie products. Much better quality delivery communications and products over all. Again RUN from this site!
