Obviously Shady... not Chic

Ordered $75 worth of product in May. No correspondence... no merchandise by mid-July. Logged onto obviouslychic.com and viewed my order. "Shipped" it read with an estimate 7-10 day window. (I would've been fine with that, despite that I ordered sundresses I now only have 1 month to enjoy). A later, i get an email stating the order had been cancelled as it was sold out. (?) I was also informed my refund would occur til after Sept 5th. They sure took my order immediately upon order! They lied about items being in stock... shipped. It is now Sept and I still have not been refunded. I have tried corresponding with the company via email. They either dont reply or reply only to stall further. Tomorrow I take legal action against this fraudulent company.

It pains me to see this company is still operating. I've had several horrible experiences and had to cut my losses. I wasn't interested in waiting for their horrible customer service to finally respond to my piles of emails into my lost' order and called my credit card company and they refunded the charge after I told them this company is a SCAM. The purpose of this review is to incourage all of you still waiting' on your orders or refunds to do the same.

Do not shop here!

Month later and still waiting for my refund from an item I purchased back in May 2018. Been in contact numerous times with lame excuses coming from they're end to now no contact. Will be filing with pay pal. The last two hoodies I purchased with the May order came but the one lake life black sweater started to fall apart on the left front pocket after three days of wearing it.

I absolutely think this website is awful. I have ordered from them a few times. Not once have they got my order right. They sent me a wrong size and told me that I would be charged for sending it back. Plus they kept my shipping fee. The last time I ordered was june 1st. I ordered 2 items 1 came 2 months later and they other item they said that the material was not good so I would get my money back. Every time I email asking for my money back she replies back saying it will be in my account in a few days. It's almost been 3 months now. To this day my money is still in there hands and not my account. I'm mad about this. Just give me my money back so I can be done with the site. Please do not order from this girl. The clothing isn't even made locally. They take your money and then buy the clothes from an international company get it sent to them and ships it from her house and make it look like it's coming from Kelowna.

I ordered was charged in may box was supposed to ship in may didn't ship till July 17 and it is crap! Not one thing will I use or wear! I tried to cancel and conviently I couldn't. So I emailed on Aug 1 I actually replied to a customer service email saying g I would be charged soon and conviently they didn't cancel and then charged me on the 6th! Now they say they have cancelled my subscription after many emails and many requests for my Aug 6 money back since I requested cancellation before and not one offer to refund! So I have launched a dispute with credit card company! Garbage items and garbage customer service! Items aren't even close to being worth the money! Crap!

I have the Obviously chic subscription box. I wish I could give it a great review. The products in it, I liked. The issue is that they are on box 2 and shipped 5 weeks later than they said they would. I received a broken water bottle and a Kimono that was too small for me. They have my profile and my size and I was sad that the clothing item was the wrong size for me and I can't wear it. Customer service responded saying the are out of product and nothing can be done. Other subscription boxes would send out another product or give me a discount code for the next box. The products they sent were nice so far, and I would have put in an order to the store, but shipping is an ongoing issue with the company with no customer service... Buyer beware. No more orders from me. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

"Buyer beware"

I ordered two dresses for my upcoming bridal shower. A month and a half later I am fighting with costumer service back and forth trying to find my package. Finally they send me a "we lost your package" email saying I would get my refund in September... I ordered beginning of June! They won't resend my dresses, they simply lost them. I ordered from this site before, the clothes are great if they make it to you, but I ran into a two month wait for my last order too. NEVER AGAIN! TAKE MY BUSINESS TO PEOPLE WHO WANT IT!

Buyer beware

After waiting twice as long as expected for the subscription box to be sent out (because a "local artisan" was behind on her orders - more on that later), I tried to find more information on the wait by checking social media and emailing. Every negative post or comment by a customer was removed immediately on Instagram and there was no option to post on Facebook. They finally sent out a generic email telling everyone it wasn't their fault because of "local artisan."
Finally got my box, and the kimono that was apparently made by the aforementioned Canadian artisan had a tag that said "Made in China." The box also included a crumpled, unwearable hat. And was overall poor quality and not worth the money or the wait.
This company ignores criticism and provides poor customer service, poor products, and outright lies about where the products are sourced.

Buyer beware
July 17, 2018

The annual subscription box "Summer Edition" was to be shipped on June 20th... we are just now (July 17th) getting a notice stating that a shipping label has been created. In the 30 days that we have been waiting for the box there has been NO communication to the subscribers of the delay unless you contact them... and then a computer response thanking you for your support and patience is generated. No visitor posts are allowed on the social media account and any negative posts are quickly removed. This gal that started this little business has got in way over her head and can't keep up with "her so called empire and dream". I would caution anyone from ordering off of her.

So for anyone even considering their annual subscription box DONT DO IT. Its been 2+ weeks since they were supposed to be shipped & nothing! And the next part is they just delete any negativity on social media 35 seconds after its posted and ignore you. Ridiculous customer service. If I could give it 0 stars I would

The absolute worst.

Dont do it. The worst service ever. Ordered in April, just received one order today and its the wrong sizes. Waiting on refund of other order cause Im sooooo over this! Worst customer service EVER. I online shop all the time and have never had this type of experience.

Ordered from them on boxing day, and they were not presale items. Two months later after multiple emails and excuses I got half my order. One item was damaged and another the wrong size. It came with a sheet saying the rest would ship a month later. Fast forward two months later and I still don't have my order, and now she is ignoring my emails. She's all about making money and promoting this amazing business with all these new products. Yet she doesn't fulfil her orders she's been paid for. Buyer BEWARE!

Deserves No Star

I dont usually take issues with companies to social media, but I feel the need to warn you all... I ordered the spring box in January and eagerly awaited its arrival. I received a notice saying that my box had shipped (it included a tracking number and everything). On line, I saw that others had received their box and my tracking number still had no information so I emailed the obviously chic boutique to follow up. They said theyd look in to it and after I followed up again, they told me that they had run out of my size. They apologized and said they refunded me... this was in early March. I have yet to see a refund and emails are now not being responded to. Buyer beware.

The worst.

This company used to be good, but I fear the owner is more intent on making herself into a social media star/fake life guru than with running a successful business. I have order from Obviously Chic 4 times. The first two orders were perfect, the items were as described, the quality was beautiful, pricing excellent. The most recent two orders were absolute disasters. I ordered in September of 2017 on a preorder BOGO for shirts. About two weeks later I ordered again when I saw they added a new shirt print and some lounge pants to the BOGO, a total of 6 shirts, two lounge pants, and a pair of faux leather leggings were ordered from them.
What followed was FIVE MONTHS of emails back and forth, multiple lame excuses and stalling on their part, shipping notifications that sat for weeks before anything was actually shipped, packages containing one or two pieces of the order that arrived with no explanation about where the rest of it was. I constantly had to follow up with them and push them to send me my order. It was frustrating, time consuming, and in the end the clothing I received was pretty disappointing.

I had placed an order with them in November 2017 for their Black Friday sale. The items I ordered were not pre order items, I checked and they were in stock. I waited and waited, finally emailed them a week before Christmas, they gave me some excuse about the busy season and how my items were being sent with in the week. After Christmas sent them yet another email, then they tell me they had a problem with their supplier for fabrics and the proceed to tell me that my items were pre order items, so they could take a while. Not true.
Anyway, countless emails were sent. They couldnt have enough respect to actually give me any details about my order at all, only that it will be sent sometime within the week. Well... we are now in March 2018, and I m still getting the run around from them.
They are ignoring my emails about my wanting a full refund because Im sick of waiting for their sub par clothing.

Oder not fIlled

First week of December 2017 I placed an order. They said I would receive my items the Thursday before Xmas. I revived 2 of the 4 items. 1 item they said was canceled and would be refunded. It was refunded at the end of December. The other item was back ordered. Im still sending emails to get refunded for the 1 item I still havent received. Terrible customer service and they are not willing to give you a true answer on this order. Beware of this company! They also blocked me from their Facebook page.

I ordered a pre order sweater on November 9th (was supposed to ship November 28th) I emailed them November 30th because it still had not shipped. They emailed me back and said it was delayed in production and said I would receive a tracking number once it shipped. On December 11th I still had not received this. I emailed them again asking if it will be shipped this week. They apologized and said it would be shipping out the week of December 11th and I will get a tracking number once it has shipped. I still didn't receive this by December 18th and no tracking status. I emailed them AGAIN asking what the hell was going on. They said it was delayed in production and they are working on getting it shipped. On JANUARY 17th 2018 I STILL did not have this sweater. Sooo I emailed them AGAIN asking for an explanation for why this still has not been shipped as the tracking details now said processing (but it was "processing for WEEKS) They said my order will be shipping in 5-10 days and apologized because quality is of the utmost importance to them apparently. So after 5-10 days and still no sweater I emailed them AGAIN on February. 5th asking where my order was or to just refund me for this sweater. The response was that my order will be shipping in the next few days. I waited a few more days and again nothing. I emailed them AGAIN on February 11th and this time I was not happy and made that clear. They said my order is processed and shipping and thanked me for my patience. A few days later after constant emails and bugging this company for 3 months for an order I finally did receive my order. I love the sweater and wore it ONCE and washed it. To my surprise when I pulled it out of the dryer the zipper was completely broken off. So if quality is of the utmost importance to them I cant seem to understand why this would happen? I may be able to get this fixed somewhere (at my cost) but I decided to email them about this because after waiting for 3 months and wearing this ONCE I was not happy (obviously). They said because this was washed they cannot refund me or exchange the sweater but they offered me a 10% discount LOL I got my 10% discount today and it was $4.06 SERIOUSLY? What a complete joke! For the hassle I went through with you guys with this sweater the LEAST you could do if offer to exchange my sweater. I would be humiliated if as a business owner that is how I handled this situation. Shame on you!

Received one item on Jan 12th, and note on shipping invoice states other item will be received in two weeks! Still nothing on Feb 7th, so email company for update, and they say it is shipping in a couple days, Feb 23rd, still nothing, so email them again for update and tracking number. Surprise they email me back to say they were shorted product and they are refunding me. Let's see how long that takes! Holy, ordered two sweatshirts last week from Sportchek and received them on the following Tuesday, after Monday was a stat. One business day, take note Obv Chic for this good customer service!

First time I ordered from this company. I love to support local. After I ordered my sister informed me of her horrible experience with them! Oh no, I thought but I had placed an order on Nov 14th, not preorder items (over $180.00), received a blanket mass email stating that all orders would go out Xmas week. Jan 3rd now and order states not-fulfilled. At least it was not Xmas presents. China orders come faster and 2 months is a little much for a Canadian order that wasn't preorder? Oh well lesson learned, Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me! (twice won't happen, which is their loss as I spend a lot of money and time online shopping)
