I pre-ordered items in april of this year. That meant "pay up front and they were promised by a date" (approximately 2 weeks later).

The promised shop date came & went, no shipping notification. So I emailed CS. "Sorry, this has been delayed" and a new ship date was given. First red flag, why didn't you let all those on your pre-order know there was a delay?

Second promised ship date comes and goes. We do the same little song and dance and a THIRD ship date is given. When the third ship date passed with no email explanation or ship notification I sent a, less than pleasant, email to CS asking for my order to be cancelled. CS then replied, making it sound like cancelling their order was their idea and said product arrived and was t up to their standard, so she wasn't going to fill tinge orders... and all refunds would be processed by September 5. This cancellation email was sent in August. Why does she need over a month to issue a refund?! But, again, gave her the benefit of the doubt & patiently waited for my refund on/before September 5. Long story short... I still don't have a refund and have had to involve my credit card company to try to get my money. December is literally tomorrow. This nonsense has been going on for almost 7 months.

Below this text box, it says "add credibility to this review with photos". I wish I had photos, but, alas, you cannot take pictures of nothing. Which is what I received.

I have been ordering from this company for about five years and have placed about 5-8 orders in this time. They have sales once in a while but you'll still end up paying about $100 for two things during bogo and shipping is $12. They have a lot of "pre order" items that are not very well flagged. It's been almost two months, order status is still "unfulfilled". I've asked for a refund twice and their response is no refund on pre order items even if there is a product shipping delay on their end. No apology. This has happened twice. I ordered a Jacket and the sleeves were so short that my 13 year old daughter didn't even fit into it. All in all, when I first started ordering it was great. Last couple of times have been less than average. Won't be ordering again.

She sent me a shirt with a spelling error. Took her over a month to respond to my emails. Finally told me she couldnt refund and gave me a coupon code. Used the coupon but my initial item was never back in stock and the only thing I could find was more $$ so I paid the extra and that item never came. I waited months. Took her another month to respond to emails only to offer me ANOTHER coupon code I said no I want a refund. She still has yet to respond to my several emails. She has blocked me on all her social media accounts and now goes by HeyHelen check out her obviously chic review page on Facebook she owes hundreds of people money

Terrible!

I ordered two dresses from this company. Months went by and I had received nothing. I followed up and they assured me my order was getting shipped out. They shipped one of the two dresses! The quality was horrible, but besides the point. I still was not sent my full order. Months go by again and I contact them. I will never be getting the second dress due to production issues and they were going to be refunding customers. They told me they had sent an email out about this but I certainly never received that. It has now been over 6 months since the purchase date. I still have not received my refund. I've e-mailed numerous times to follow up and they no longer respond to my emails. This is the most ridiculous online shopping experience I have ever had. If they are still in business after all of these terrible reviews, DO NOT buy from them. You probably wont get what you ordered and honestly the quality is soooo cheap!

Please don't order from this company. I ordered 2 dresses back in April. They were to ship in May. They never shipped with no emails from the company. I sent numerous emails (no phone number to contact) regarding my order. Always got the run around about shipping delays but not to worry, they will be shipping in the next few days. This continued for another month of me sending emails every week! FINALLY I got a notification my dresses were being shipped at the END of July! I finally got them, but to my surprise ONLY one dress! And even more disappointing was the dress wasn't as advertised. So back to emailing again. After numerous emails about canceling my order and refunding my one dress, I finally got an email saying they will cancel my dress and refund the other! It took a very long time to get my refund. Lots of me emailing and lots of them XOXOing! I ended up contacting PayPal regarding the issue. I received my full refund including shipping through PayPal within 11 days of lodging the complaint. Obv Chic has blocked me from their pages because I left questions on their page! Horrible customer service. Stay away!

It took 4+ months to receive my order from this "company". No offer of a partial refund, no discount, just absolutely terrible customer service. They use generic copy and paste emails that answer none of your questions. They LIE. Stay away. You'll get the same quality of clothing from Wish so just save the hassle and order from there. Xoxo hahahah

I ordered 4 items from them with a shipping date of 2 weeks later. Fast forward 2 months later, many emails exchanged and a compliant with PayPal. They finally shipped my stuff or so I thought. They gave PayPal a tracking number so the case was closed. Well I received the package a couple days later and it contained ONE item that I DIDNT order. After contacting PayPal again I had my refund finally 3 months after my initial order was placed and after I a lot of BS emails from Obviously Chic. Please don't waste your time or your money on this fly by night company. Btw they are now running under Hey Helen as well. They need more than a name change to correct the incompetence of their company.

Against my better judgement, I gave Obviously Chic the benefit of the doubt, as to their reason behind not having a customer review section on their social media or websites...

I wanted to support local, and thought, why not try. I will tell you, after dealing with this company, having a horrible experience, and then doing further research... I now know they don't allow reviews because of their shady business practices. If you search them out (independent of their own sites) you will see that there is a pattern of:
- taking your money
- not delivering your product (or continuously delaying shipping)
- not responding to emails
- deleting any valid comments/concerns off social media
- blocking you off social media.

I placed an order on Oct 8 (with an advertised shipping date of Oct 11). When I did not receive shipping info by Oct 13, I emailed them. On Oct 15, they responded to advise that the shipment was delayed, and that it wouldn't be shipped until Oct 29 (I checked their website, and saw they made a change to the expected shipping date). I requested to cancel the order, as i would have no use for the clothing items after Oct 27 (Halloween Party). And had the shipping date been advertised correctly, I wouldn't have ordered it. They refused to cancel the order as per their policy. I respectfully emailed back, indicating my dissatisfaction, and asking them to consider doing the right thing. The email was ignored. I thought "ugh. I'll just wait for the order, and maybe I can sell the items I order at consignment." October 29 came and went, without a shipping confirmation. So I emailed again. They advised there was yet another delay, and that the would "get the items to me as soon as possible." I responded, to tell them that this was an unprofessional business practice. And again, asked to have my order cancelled. Why should I pay for something that hasn't even been shipped. Most companies wont charge your cc until the item is shipped. They had no problem taking my money, without being able to deliver the product.

I will be making a report to the BBB for sure.

Nothing but a fraud

I ordered two items in April as part of a buy one get one free promotion. I received one of the items in June with a note that they were working on the rest of my order. Come August I still had not received my second item. When I followed up for the umpteenth time they told me that they were cancelling my order and would be issuing a refund, with refunds being completed by September 5th. By October I still had not been issued a refund. They now take weeks to respond and have given me the exact same, word for word, response. That the warehouse is still working on refunds and to please be patient. 6 months after my order was placed and they have the gull to ask me to be patient? Basically paid $75 for a cheap sweater and am now working with Visa to dispute the charge and get my refund. DO NOT order from this site. And certainly DO NOT fall for the small local business BS. Small businesses care about their customers.

Ordered a tank top from her spring of 2017. It arrived with a spelling error. Contacted her for refund or exchange. Was told all the shirts of same design had same spelling error. Told me she would order more but did not offer refund. She was only willing to exchange. She then informed me she wasn't getting the replacements until following spring. So I waited it out and when the same tank came back on her website I contacted her asking for exchange. I originally ordered the shirt on sale, so she wouldn't do a straight exchange. She gave me a coupon code for the amount I paid for original shirt to use off new shirt. I've now paid 54.95 for two tank tops and never actually received the replacement tank. I've been fighting with her for the last three months for a refund and she refuses. She has offered me yet another coupon code, but I refuse to buy anything from her ever again. Now she's telling me she can't deal with tank from 2017 because it's her policy not to issue refunds from over a year ago. She issued refund for the second tank to an expired/cancelled credit card number which really is no refund at all but in her eyes she doesn't owe me any money. I've taken this to the BBB now in hopes someone will help me. Sadly I didn't use PayPal and because the credit card I used is no longer valid and paid off the company won't fight for me.

One star because there was no option to leave zero.

Don't EVER fall for their "pre-order" trap.

Ordered a product in June and apparently China couldn't make It fast enough because I never did receive it. Was told in August that the products I ordered wouldn't be shipping and that I would receive a refund by
September 5 that was seven weeks ago.

I've been politely e-mailing them and they are now no longer responding. Previously they continued to say "we're checking in to it"... from what I have read, this seems to be a common line.

They're thieves. They'll steal your money. STAY AWAY FROM OBVIOUSLY CHIC.

Will not refund!

I placed an order from OBV Chic when they had they're boxing day sale in December of 2017. It contained pre order items that were to ship out sometime later. That date came and then they said the shipping date was pushed back. The next date came and again it was pushed back. At this point I still believed I would receive my 2 items and I went on a ordered more pre order items in April. Long story short, I haven't reaceived either of my orders. I've been emailing back and forth with them for months and they keep saying they're going to check into this and I would receive my refund right away. Still nothing. 5 weeks ago was the last time I received this email from them. I've messaged them again since and now they've stopped replying to me. I wish I would have read reviews before I ever ordered from this company. It's too late now for me to report this to my credit card so I guess I just have to accept that they stole my money!

Pre-ordered beach towels in May of 2018. The items were supposed to ship June 1st. I still have not received the towels. I started emailing the company on June 12th. I've been lied to several times, including a promise of an immediate refund on September 28th. They have not refunded my money, nor responded to my latest email. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.
I will not be ordering from this company again, and would not recommend that others support them.

This is the absolute worst. I ordered several products in one order on April 27th as a "pre-order", which I was completely fine with waiting a few weeks. After SEVERAL weeks I finally emailed inquiring about the order, they then stated that it had to be canceled. This I thought would be fine, and it simply would be a refund on my credit card by September 5th. I emailed the first time with a reply that they would "look into it", my subsequent emails have now been ignored. It is now October 11th and I still have not received my refund. I am guessing I will never see that money again, but they sure were happy to take my money in the first place.

So please take my warning and do not order from them EVER.

This is the worst run company I have ever dealt with. I initially wanted to support a small Canadian made company - but boy was I wrong. Things that are "in stock" aren't actually and it will take MONTHS to get. Customer service is awful, you just get lied to and excuse after excuse. I ordered items in JUNE, and after they lied and said the
Items were shipping week after week, I finally got an email in July stating that they would be giving refunds by September 5. Well it is now September 26 and NO REFUND. I have filed a claim with PayPal. Every time someone questions them on social media, the comment is erased and the poster is blocked. The owner constantly posts about how hard her job is and doesn't want to deal with negativity... well maybe if you didn't take peoples hard earned money, and repeatedly LIE TO THEM, your business would be a huge success.

Multiple orders never received product. Took over 4 months for a refund. Product I did receive from the chic box said they were made in China but the owner claims they were handmade in BC. Poor customer service. Will never order again from this company. I would give a zero if that was an option

Do not order from Obviously chic boutique.
I am so disappointed in this company. I ordered round towels in May. They were supposed to be released on June 1. With repeated emailing (half were not answered) they kept saying ten more days. I starting requesting to cancel my order starting at the beginning of August. I was told no problem they will do it right away. I waited and nothing was refunded. I emailed again and was told refunds will not happen until September 5. Where I sent them the email saying that they will refund me right away. They sent one back saying IT was working on them. I received an email on the 24 that the product is being shipped, after I have told them repeatedly I wanting to cancel my order and was told no problem. I am so mad at this and the package has not moved since I have gotten the email. I finally got the towels that I cancelled and they are not the ones I ordered. They are nothing that I would order for myself. I will not be ordering from this company anymore. Their customer service is horrible and the way they have treated me leaves me speechless. There is no place to leave comments on the webpage or to review items. And they delete and block you when you leave negative reviews on their facebook page.

November 2017 was when we ordered my two items as of today's date September 2018 we have heard nothing from this company. I still haven't received the product I paid for and I have read a ton of reviews. Lots of people in the same boat. How companies get away with false advertising and keeping people's money for items they never sent is beyond me. Shady business I believe Karma will get them. They deserve a negative rating bad business practice

My husband ordered me two pieces for Christmas. A sweater and sweat shirt. I received the sweatshirt and never did get my sweater. My sweatshirt arrived in mid Jan... they shipped an item I did not order. When contacted they were useless. Who signs their emails with hugs and kisses. They are so unprofessional and such a rip off. My daughter ordered the same sweatshirt my husband did we are now in late Feb she never got her sweatshirt. She ordered her sweatshirt two weeks before he ordered mine. So not only do they not send in order of receiving the purchase they make terrible excuses and lie saying they shipped the items. She also ordered a bunch of items and they again said they shipped them and when she did get her November order in February its were missing again. Very poorly ran company and terrible customer service.

My daughter placed an order May 2018.it is now Sept21,2018 and she still hasn't received a dress. She has emailed the company and now they aren't answering her emails. Their phone number is disconnected. Don't purchase anything from this company.

I had a co-worker tell me about ObviouslyChic. She was wearing the cutest scarf. I ended up ordering 2 when they had their BOGO free sale. I was very skeptical after reading all these reviews. However, I received my scarves today - took just under 2 weeks which is very acceptable! The scarves are soft and durable. Did I mention nicely packaged? I will be ordering again!
