My family have been longtime NB wearers. Love the shoes but be aware of false/hidden claims on their website if you order through there. My 9 yr old daughter has recently experienced severe foot pain. The Dr recommended trying new shoes (we had tried a different shoe for start of school yr) since there was nothing on X-rays. So loving NB we ordered new shoes that night and paid $25 for 1 day UPS to get them ASAP. So here we are two days later and the shoes haven't even shipped yet. When I called customer service to find out what happened they let me know that the shipping is 1 day but they have 2 days on top of that to prepare the order! What? Two days to get shoes out of the warehouse and put them in shipping container? Anyway, I told them I never saw that and if I knew I would have just gone to the NB store the next day instead of ordering online. They said it was in the fine print on order summary page and since it is there they wouldn't even refund me the money I paid for 1 day. Overall just a terrible experience and no empathy as I now have to watch my daughter hobble around in old school shoes (because they have to be white) that are too tight. I will never order from NB online again and going forward I'll be looking more closely at other brands.
I purchased the Sea Salt New Balance 327 shoes and loved them. I never went anywhere without someone noticing them and asking me where I got them. They were very hard to find at the time, so I told them where to find them and they had to keep checking daily. I loved these shoes so much that I purchased another pair in a different color. Again, everywhere I went, people noticed them and would ask me the same thing as before. I told them.
I purchased a similar pair for each of my four grandchildren. I purchased six pairs of new balance within 6 months.
My Sea Salt 327's had a couple of spots on them, so I started spot cleaning them. As I was cleaning the shoes, I noticed that the brown leather on the heel was bleeding into the white. I tried to get the brown off of the white to no avail.
I tried live chat on the website, but they stated that I would have to go through a link they had which emailed customer service. When emailing, they asked for specific photos in a certain format, along with the receipt of where I purchased them. I emailed more photos than they asked for and my receipt of purchase in June.
After about 15 days, they emailed me back stating they did not receive all the photos they needed. I had sent them all, so I sent the same photos to them again. After about 15 more days, I received another email stating they needed a couple more of the photos. Again, they had received the same photos twice. I sent them all a third time. After another 15 or so days, I received an email stating I would be receiving a coupon code within the next 6 days. After about another 15 days, I emailed them asking where the coupon code was because I never received it. I received an email back stating it was still in review and it could be another 15 days.
After starting this complaint in June, I finally received a coupon code for $50 off a new pair of shoes at the end of August. So not only do I have a pair of shoes that I will not wear because they are no longer white, but now I have to purchase a new pair and only get $50 off.
This has been the worse customer service ever! My son in law had a problem with his Brooks Shoes, texted customer service with the problem, and within two days had a new pair of shoes!
New Balance may be a nice looking shoe, but I will NEVER purchase another pair because of the horrible customer service received. They should stand behind their shoes and not put customer's through all of this nonsense. It was as if they were trying to just wear me down and think I would just forget about it. I do not want anyone else to have the experience that I have had. There are many other brands that look good too!
How do you as a customer contact this company. I created an account and I was supposed to get an email for a discount on my first order. I work at Amazon. I order shoes every six months. I never received an email. I'm at a loss! I'm a business owner myself and I always answer my clients! What are you doing at New Balance?
During the past few years I purchased two pairs of these sneakers from retail websites. I haven't worn them for a while. About a month ago I put on a pair and went for a walk. I quickly discovered the sole of the sneakers fell apart. It was as if the glue holding the entire bottom quit. I threw them out and tried the second pair. The same thing happened. I've never owned a pair of sneakers before these that was of such poor quality.
I buy the trail shoes and they used to have quality thick insoles. Now they are thin and flimsy and they wrinkle and bunch up under your foot. A person should not have to buy another insole for the shoe or fabricate their own. They call *this* "Performance" insoles? I don't have proof of purchase any more. Bought them on line
When you call the customer service line you are greeted by a message about integrity and complete customer satisfaction. BS.
The reality they will tell you almost anything to get you off the phone in the hopes that you will give up.
I've never really been crazy about NB shoes to begin with but needed a few pairs of burner shoes to train with and had an opportunity to use a gift card up that had been laying around awhile.
The hassle is correcting what is clearly a bug in the website that stole my card balance is no longer worth dealing with for what are otherwise regarded as second tier shoes anyway.
Save your time and money and go buy something else. #never Newbalance
I purchased two tee shirts totaling $61.98. At the bottom of the review order page, "FREE Shipping with $50 purchase". I placed my order and a few days later NB sent an email stating that my order has shipped and described the sale with the cost. $61.98 cost, $8.95 shipping and $4.60 tax. I called customer service and they said they could not do anything about the shipping cost. I asked why did they advertise this on my order. She hung up on me. Is this how customer service supposed to keep customers satisfied? I've been a NB customer for a long time and never had a complaint, but this is totally unacceptable!
I called to inquire whether a shoe that I have purchased many times would be available again in my size. The customer service person did not know and said she had no way of finding out -- nor any telephone numbers for me to call. This is ridiculous.
Although I like this shoe I am planning to buy a different brand because I am so disgusted with their customer service.
Helena really knew the products and was able to make some great recommendations for me and my partner.
Plain and simple, they are terrible. The shoes have the worst innersoles, and you are expected to purchase expensive innersoles regularly or with the new shoes you just bought. What? Why would my brand new shoes be unwearable? BUT the shoes are not built to last in the first place. Either buy cheap shoes that you replace regularly, or buy real ones. These are expensive trash that cost a load of money to not maintain
NO LONGER and CUSTOMER. I have been a New Balance customer for 35 plus years. I have always paid more for Made in USA. Unfortunately, the last two pair I have purchased the rubber mid-soles have started to deteriorate and when I contacted New Balance they denied my warranty claim because I did not keep receipts. I guess my 35 years of loyalty to New Balance means nothing. Their customer service is terrible when i started the request to see if they would take car of these defective shoes.
I got these as a gift and did not wear them for a few months. 4th time I wore them the tongue came right off the shoe. Evidently now sewn properly when made. Warranty had expired, so I sent a request directly to New Balance and got horrible service. Kept wanting more info even after sending all the info they initially asked for and pictures.
I've been buying New Balance running shoes for a long time as they offer narrow widths. Their new CEO Joe Preston seems intent on ruining the brand through misleading advertising promotion practices. Their recent short 3-4 day FRIENDS25 PROMOTION didn't cover any of the shoes that could be found in my size. When you call their "customer service", in name only, line after waiting for 30 minutes for a 20 minute suggested wait time, I hung up. In all wasted nearly an hour on their poor service. I will go out of my way NEVER to bur another pair of NEW BALANCE shoes.
This company promotes in large letters that they appreciate nurses, college students, and teachers and offer discount codes through ID.me. It is very complicated to create an ID.me account just to be able to get a discount. Yet, although you go through that hassle, you find out that almost everything is excluded from promotion. Very misleading information.
I have been wearing New Balance shoes as long as I can remember. My last pair lasted me forever and really never tore up. They were the 410v4 ones. After about 12-14 years the soles finally fell apart. My new pair are the 510's and the cushion on it has already worn off. They are not even 2 years old. I am discouraged as I already have feet problems and cannot find too many shoes that are comfortable. I am not sure my replacements shoes will be NB.
Five days ago I ordered baseball cleats through their website, got confirmation email of the order, I was told they'll be here in five days. On the 5th day I was sent an email "Aww, Man. It's Out of Stock". Like it's ok they promised a product and sent some cute message telling you it's out of stock. Apparently if you order a pair of shoes/cleats it's not guaranteed that you will get them.
I've tried to get NB to replace my defective shoe but the customer service has ignored me. The sole takes in water like a sponge. I've provided them with all the purchase documentation and photographic evidence they requested and they have failed to get back to me, even after repeated requests for a response (any response).
I have been a New Balance wearer for decades and, normally, sing their praises.
However, I, recently, purchased the Cross Trainer 608 model - as, the 8-series wasn't available at the retail outlet or at the NB online website.
To my utter dismay and the discomfort and pain I've experienced from the model - I encourage everyone to stay away from it.
The discomfort and pain is so bad I had to search for a replacement. It was then, from the specialty athletic shoe store employee I was informed that the "608" - is just a horrible output from NB.
Stay away from this model or, as myself, you may have to see a chiropractor for treatment.
I bought two pair of these, wore them both twice.
They were Great untill they were NOT. They say money back guarantee for 30 days, but must be in same condition as bought. If I wore them then NOT IN SAME CONDITION! Also want Packaging, that got thrown out the day I bought them. By reviews I was told they were great shoe?! I wore The shoes two times. Today when I wore them my feet hurt! First two times of wearing them had great arch support, but not today. Will Not buy again!
Sale: second shoe 50% off price of first. First was $120. Second at 50% off was $65. Put that in your calculator and their lie nets them an extra $5. It's what the computer calculates. Rip off. Oh, and rewards program ended 2 months ago and they don't have a new one yet so these won't qualify.
