I got very disappointed by the level of custom support service.
First of all the "Live chat" option never works so you can forget to get in direct contact by writing because there is no email support option as well.
I tried to call several times and never was lucky to go through.
The shipping rate is very high. There was no clear information about who would be responsible to make a custom clearance in Mali where I currently reside. In the shipment notification sent by MyUs it was stated the good would be delivered to the address I provided during the registration. However in reality it was not the true and I was supposed to go from office to office paying different fees and clearances.
I guess such a big company should take a responsibility to inform the clients how the custom clearance would be done in each particular country so we wouldn't be tricked by expecting door-to-door delivery.
In the recent past I was using the similar services of "Ocongo" company that despite its small size was taking care of all formalities in the receiving country and shipping rates were smaller. Unfortunately it operates only in DR Congo.
In brief I wouldn't recommend to use MyUs but to look for any other alternative.

I must say that every time i have sent an email it is answered usually on the same day and always with a solution. Customer service outstanding always and greatly appreciated - some companies in australia could take a lesson!

MyUS is an excellent company with great service BUT do not select Cheapest option for shipping, I have and have had ATS as the courier.
1. It is not the cheapest! Was $10 more than DHL for same weight
2. DHL has my parcel to Australia in 4 days, ATS i'm still waiting after 14 days
3 No tracking.
MyUS should ditch this option or lose it's reputation of excellence as a forwarder/

MyUS is a wonderful company to shop the US stores with. I used the both services of the shipping item to me from stores that doesn't ship directly to my country and the personal shopper service, and both where such a good experiences. I advise any one who likes to shopping from US stores to sign up for a premium membership in MyUS.com and start enjoying their services.
I was so worried about my shipments before i start Chat with Court, Court was very helpfull and now I don't have any worries or i don't have to think about my shipments. Court gave me lot of information which i do not understand before. I really even don't know how to use MyUS.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time. I hope someone from MyUS will respond to your question and give you a more satisfying answer. All the best.
