Works perfect for what we need

The watch is perfect for what we need it for. It allows my 10 year old boy to have more independence. It gives me peace of mind knowing he can reach me instantly, and I can find him or check in with him whenever I want. We are so happy to have this for our family.

Broken parts

Somehow the lid that covers the SIM card area, got cracked. I reached out inquiring how could I just purchase a replacement lid. The team was awesome and sent me a replacement lid. Very grateful for the speedy response and customer service.

Replacement strap

Ordered a replacement strap for a TickTalk 5 through the website. Ordering was a breeze. Got the item within a week. I just wish, since we have been repeat customers, that they give a better deal/discount. The 15% off was for a new watch that we don't need.

My daughter's watch band just needed to be removed and the new one that I had already purchased be put on. The screws on the watch were corroded and I couldn't remove them. But TikTok sent us a whole new watch and we didn't back up the SIM card. It's nice that she has a brand new watch, but all we asked for was for the band to be changed. Also, my first name is not Janette it's GRAZIELLA.

Great customer service!

I ordered a band replacement. Once I received it I realized we didn't have a screwdriver small enough. We ordered one but when it came it didn't work. I contacted TickTalk and they sent me one right out. Thank you for your great customer service!

Peace of mind

My daughter is 7 years old. She is in 1st grade and I want to teach her responsibility. So I bought this watch not only to keep up with her during our day but to sow her how to be responsible when it comes to taking care of her things. She can set alarms for school, brush her teeth, go to bed, homework time etc without me having to teach her around the house to get her to do it 😄😆 I'm too pregnant for that right now. I only approved a few people for her to talk to either video chat or text and that's family only. They love that they get to chat with her whenever now not just when I'm available to answer the phone.

Great. Could make minor tweaks

Small things could be updated such as when you change something or do something on the mobile app and message pops up that it's been 'completed' you have to exit out of the message in order to do anything.
The descriptions of the plans still says "unlimited in-app text messages' which is confusing because SMS text messaging has been added to the watch but I had to search elsewhere to confirm that and thought I may have to pay per text.
There's no way at this time to see those messages in the app
The option to 'reset' watch is confusing and unknown why it would be an option to be able to do directly from watch.

Otherwise it's great my son loves it the GPS is good enough - not great, but for the price of plans and watch it's perfect for what I want it for.

My daughter's TickTalk Watch 5 band gradually started peeling and eventually broke into pieces. I reached out to the TickTalk support team, and since it was still under warranty, they replaced the band at no cost. Their service was fast and efficient — everything was handled through email, no phone calls needed. They were very responsive and shipped the replacement band quickly.

More freedom for preteens

Our 11yo and 12yo are starting to get more into their individual after school activities. When they're finished, they have to find a phone to contact me. If I'm unable to pick them up, that leaves them either looking for another ride or walking home. The TickTalk 5 watches should be very helpful with communicating what's going on. (Bonus that we can see their locations as well!) These will also be helpful for them communicating with friends and family on their own. We love that they are basic watches with call/text/gps capabilities, that we can monitor. They are exactly what we were hoping to find. We handed down a smartphone to our eldest when he turned 12, and then he proceeded to teach us over the following few years that smartphones are not the direction that we want to go with our kids. (He's 17 now and we still haven't replaced his phone as he will not accept less than "smart.") So our requirements were a bit more specific this time around. We've had TickTalk for about a week, and so far no issues. They were easy for me and the children to setup, navigate, and learn. Also, there have been no issues requiring me to reach out to customer service. It's been pretty straightforward and simple so far. I believe that once my 11yo stops calling me for every little thing, they will be quite nice.

I prefer speaking with a customer service representative for help when needed. The email to service representatives is slower to respond and I have had issues with sending messages if not above the line. Not really sure how that works.

Overall we are pleased. Some frustration over the fact that our kid can't type their own texts - that was something we wanted. But the watch seems durable and works well.

Wrt to ordering and delivery the only issue was that the tracking info wasn't updated so we didn't know it was coming and it just showed up.

I like the watch so far, but the battery life isn't good, it drains in under 24 hours with normal use. Also, the warranty plan is expensive and tied to a monthly wireless plan, which isn't ideal. It should be one payment to buy a watch warranty at time of purchase same like amazon or Best Buy.
