Honestly if you are concidering sending a parcel via hermes your would be better to the just throw it in the general direction of th e recipient address. I prommise it will have more chance of reaching its destination, it will probably be in better condition when it arives too and you save a few quid.
This is sound advice, however if you are conceidering sending overseas with hermes take the time to build a small raft, then sucure your parcel to the raft and float it off at your nearest beach.
I hope I have been helpfull and saved some people some time and money!
So frustrating. I can see the have my parcel. Because the sender wrote '8' instead of '9' as my house address, it is apparently lost forever. No communication from them, or help.
I've been emailed by parcel 2 go who said hermes states my parcel weighed over 2.3kg which is absolute bs I have sold so many of the same product and there is no way it ways that. The weight is under 1KG. They're asking me to provide proof yet when I've asked them to provide proof of this they've not bothered. Hermes ripping people off and companies like parcel 2 go gladly assist with that. Ridiculous. They need to be investigated
They send texts stating delivery between certain times but they don't deliver. They send an email with attempted delivery photo which is intentionally blank/blurred and a map that doesn't resemble the delivery address. They should not be allowed to operate.
The best I can hope for with my local hermes is that stuff arrives very, very late, often after I've already had a refund from the seller. Latest "delivery" was "out for delivery" for 4 days then suddenly became "undeliverable". Other couriers have no problem delivering on time. Why is hermes incapable of doing it? I'm shocked that hermes is an approved courier for amazon. I'm looking for alternatives as I'm sick of relying on a totally unreliable courier.
Worst delivery service ever.
Insist they have delivered (sending me a pic with a house which is clearly not mine) and yet they insist it would be mine... impossible to get through on their customer service or getting a proper answer.
On top of that pic that was sent looks like the parcel was left in front of a house (in the middle of London) which goes without saying is clearly stolen within 5 minutes
Do niot use Hermes for transport of your items. They will try any means not to refund you. If an item has FRAGILE plastered all over it would you not pay some heed to that or can their operatives not read or basically just not care!
Pathetic company - Avoid
I have been using Hemres for over 5 years for my ebay perosnal sells. Recently, they damaged 3 of my parcels. One which had toy was found in pieces, another toy parcel was stolen by driver. After chasing him for days he delivered it in another bin bag but with lots of toys missing from it. Third parcel had camvas wardrobe and driver broke all tubes of even that. After submitting claims several time for 2 month Hermes replied that my parcels were low value so they wont compansate me.
Customer service is worse than pathetic. Takes forever to speak to someone and when they come on the phone they disconnect calls deliberately. One of the agent told me "write complaint to manager whats the point telling me anything, I aint gonna give you your money back." Another staff advised me "Hermes is full of **** with independant self employed drivers and I shouldnt use it. " Imagine their own staff advising you that.
Never ever going to use it again.
No customer service. Can't talk to them. The sooner we can move from them the better. They must loose 1 in 20 of the parcels we send
Still waiting for next day delivery 6 days later?! No updates, no calls, no reply to emails, no chat staff, no call center? What to do? Waiting for parcel 6 days after it was ment to be delivered... no contact for Hermes and they don't reply to enquiries... basically just please themselves when they'll deliver... I paid for next day delivery. Their app says they are having trouble finding our property... funny they delivered another parcel 2 days prior and get delivery from them at least once a week... lying through their teeth again... we are the only Hotel in this tiny Scottish village... how can you say you can't find our Hotel in a one street village when you already delivered here multiple time (by multiple I'm talking about 100's of time)? Shocking customer service... shocking contact centre. This company are genuinly prepared better at sweeping customers under the carpet as they are at logistic and that is a proven fact in our area! Everyone says the same in our shire... Thanks again for wasting our time and our customers... you always meet expectations and perhaps it is time for at least a little improvement on delivery and customer experience and services.
I'm signing the petition on the Parliament website, https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/*******, asking the Government to establish a regulatory body and ombudsman to oversee the UK courier industry and resolve disputes if you are fed up with the attrocious service provided by some parcel delivery businesses. The regulation of the courier industry, much in the way Royal Mail is regulated, was recommended in the Citizens Advice damning report, 'Sorry We Missed You', on the industry. MPs will have to debate the issue if more than 100,000 people sign. I'm doing this because I have had an appalling experience with Hermes for the past year since my regular delivery driver had to resign and Hermes has often struggled to find anyone at all to deliver and collect parcels. I've had parcels delayed by over a week, nearly two weeks (with the box squashed and battered as if it had been at the bottom of a pile of delayed parcels) on one occasion. Hermes' customer services is as good as useless and the only way of contacting a real person competent to deal with your problem seems to be to contact the CEO's office.
Useless company, the worst ever. Avoid by all means. They say they will deliver but unfortunately they lie.
Absolutely rubbish!
Not only did they retuned the parcel to me, instead of the recipient, they returned it damaged! (See attached pics)
And there is no phone number to contact. Instead, you need to chat to a ROBOT who asks some really stupid questions!
Two days in a row did not receive a delivery as it notified it attempted to deliver but I was not in, even though I was. Very dissatisfied.
I was waiting for this parcel so I use to keep an eye on my window. When the parcel is not delivered correctly (the courier did not bother to knock on the door, throw it next to the recycle bin) and the parcel is opened, what else can you say about Hermes? Shame to you Hermes!
Automated and cut off. Useless, opt to speak to someone and after two rings the phone goes dead. Twice now, inpossible to talk to anyone about a lost parcel. Last time of using the shysters.
My eBay item was sent by Hermes with next day delivery. 4 days later still not arrived. Well done!

Paid for 24 hrs delivery. 72 hrs gone...
It was received at the centre on 6th October, 2021. Today is 9th October, 2021.
No updates. Yesterday suddenly Hermes cancelled the delivery. On calling the customer care, no one had any clue why it was cancelled. I was ready to collect the parcel. They didnt allow that too.
Today again, it is showing that it will take another 24 hrs to process. What a pathetic service. I cant even connect to customer care.

Pathetic. DO NOT TAKE THIS SERVICE IF YOU WANT TO GET THINGS DELIVERED ON TIME...
This is the third time a parcel that's being delivered via Hermes has disappeared into the black hole that's their local depot.
These items were ordered from 3 different retailers over the last 4 months, I definitely won't be placing any orders with retailers that use Hermes as their delivery partner as they simply can't be trusted to actually deliver your items. I've had refunds back for the items but the sizes are out of stock so I've been unable to replace them.
Today's 4th Oct 2021 and the parcel still hasn't updated on their tracker since 13th Sep 2021.
The worst delivery service, and you can't contact them, instead you keep getting sent round in a loop by their bot messaging system.
Horrible experience.
Lost my parcel. There is no way to even contact or have a word with a real agent. There is no way to even complain.
They responded after more than a month that your parcel is lost. No way to even claim it back.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
Answer: Almost impossible. Telephoning the number on the website gets two options both of which refer you back to the web chat. Using webchat is just an endless loop - log on and watch it they deal with eight calls a minute until it is yur turn at which time you see why because you are cut off and the cycle starts again
Answer: Because MyHermes are the worst company out there for deliveries. They can't take calls, as they'd be overwhelmed.
