Unsatisfied with service
February 7, 2024

The reasons I'm unsatisfied with mint mobile. The first one being the unlimited plan only gives you 40 GB of high-speed internet. After that the internet sucks. Secondly, they only give you ten GB's of wifi with the unlimited plan and that wifi is not very good at all. Their coverage is not as good as they say it is, i'm also dissatisfied with that. And the last thing I'm unsatisfied with is that they changed it to $15 a month. And it's only for new customers that's some b s.

Zero stars ----
February 2, 2024

Switching from Air Wireless to Mint Mobile has been an absolute nightmare. It should be so $#*!in simple. My husband has spent hours talking and chatting with your Mint reps and they are all morons! My husband is with Mint and he and I have the same phone. It's a 5G phone. His transfer worked with no issues (he has been on Mint since June 2023). When I put in to port over to Mint, I could text, go online, but could not call out with the sim card they gave me. The reps kept telling husband it's our phone etc. they even sent us another replacement SIM card, multiple escalated tickets to tech support, and tech even called back and lied and said it was an issue on our end and our phone. My husband called them out several times and God bless him,he had to tell the same story to multiple ppl. I was going to tell ppl about Mint Mobile but I'll never do that now. How many times must we tell the same info to your engineering team for them to get it? After 10 days, my husband said to me now to try calling out. Finally worked. Smh. My husband did more work than your Mint staff. Ridiculous

No service
January 18, 2024

For over a year no issues. Paid my bill on the 16Jan24 and no cellular service. Spent all day with customer chat. Resetting phone. Network. Finally told test SIM. Later in evening talked again via chat to service. Told network issues and engineers are working on it and SIM was test by them and was fine. 18Jan24. And still no service. I feel CS is just saying what it takes to get me off the line and have no clue how to fix. It's gonna take a week for refund of fees so I can switch carriers as this carrier is obviously not caring about its customers service and I'm losing money every day my service is down.

Shame on Ryan Reynolds
January 16, 2024

Not only did Ryan Reynolds sell his share of Mint Mobile, he's a big old liar! Setting up my phone was a hassle and even though I was supposed to have 'unlimited' data I had to repeatedly call for assistance (all of which are handled by an out of country service). He should be ashamed for conning us into thinking this is a reliable alternative phone service.

Deceptive.
January 3, 2024

No mention of the "teaser rate" was given when I signed on. I was also told I would be able to receive a discount for being over 55 when I renewed my plan. So today was the day I needed to renew and now my rate is nearly triple. I ask about the over 55 discount and the rep says for new members only. If that's the case, why would I know about the discount but not have it implemented when I initially started with mint? I'm out.

Stick with who ever you have.
Constantly freezing. Have to shut down apps numerous times. Half the time I can't even get my email to open. Never had such bad service.
Not worth the aggravation.

Not worth the hassle
December 29, 2023

They try to lure you in and claims you can cancel plan if not satisfied. Coverage is poor in my area but I had to spend over 2 hours on the phone to ask for the refund, sure... they check the system, check check... then no refund despite of being told it'll take 7-10 days, no, not even 2 months and I had to call again.

I purchased an iPhone 15 pro through Mint Mobile and experienced overheating issues. After requesting a return, they provided a return label, and I sent the phone back. However, it's been over three months, and I haven't received the refund. Despite numerous calls to Mint Mobile, each resulting in a ticket and promises of resolution within 7-10 business days, the refund hasn't been processed. This situation is frustrating, and I regret my decision to buy a phone through Mint Mobile.

Stranded
December 23, 2023
Updated review

After stranding me for 6 months overseas with no cell phone service — AFTER I HAD PAID FOR IT — Mint Mobile promised they would reimburse me.

THEY HAVE NOT DONE SO.

This business charges me for a service they did not provide and refuses now to reimburse me.

Avoid this company like the plague.

Worst Customer Service Experience Ever
December 9, 2023
Previous review

This has been THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE in my life. First, they stranded my overseas without phone service FOR SIX MONTHS. Then, when I returned to the US, I discovered I had no domestic service either.

For nine months, while I paid for this service both domestically and internationally I had no service, I spent countless hours across these many months trying to solve this problem and all their call center staff did was ask me to do the same thing over and over again (reset the phone, slegar the phone settings, to turn the phone to airplane mode, etc. they are clueless.

Now, I have no service, they have refused to help, and I am stuck with no coverage. I can not even call my doctor to renew my prescriptions which I desperately need filled. They promised me a new eSIM card, and then didn't even do that. Been using my phone as a paperweight for 6 months.

Absolutely the worst experience dealing with Mint Mobile. Lucky they sol out for over a billion dollars, I guess. Too bad they can provide the service and stiff their customers.

Worst service ever! Thought Verizon was bad NOT! Started using Mint in August 2023 and I was impressed until going from Illinois to Wisconsin. There I had no phone or data north of Wausau. I was disconnected multiple times while trying to contact customer service too. Today I needed to use my hotspot for an appointment in Illinois and again no service. My computer that use to see my Mint hotspot no longer did. Tech people were no help in resolving the problem. I paid for the full year and have only used the service for two months. I want a refund for the remaining 10 months!

The customer support team for Mint Mobile is the absolute worst support experience I have ever worked with. Multiple Agents will reroute your call to a different department to avoid working on issues they clearly don't understand. You will hear various answers from their agents, including account supervisors and managers, only to find out in subsequent calls that none of them are true. When they tell you they are updating a ticket, that's also a lie. After two weeks of being led on by this terrible support staff, I cancelled my order. Now I'll get to wait at least 7-10 business days for my money back, and I'm certain I'll have to continue to fight with this terrible support staff to ensure that my refund is actually processed. In the future, if I ever have to deal with sub-par customer service, I'll make sure to remind myself of this experience so that I can say, "at least I'm not dealing with Mint Mobile again."

They sent me a damaged phone which they didn't refund. They also do not answer questions in customer service. Very rude and not fun to work with. They only give you a week time period to try the phone but considering most people are busy and can set up the phone at a later time, then it is too late and they are not gracious.

I can't stress this enough: STAY AWAY FROM MINT MOBILE! From the very start, it's been an absolute nightmare dealing with their so-called service. Their advertised "customer service representatives" are a joke – they're about as useful as a broken pencil and twice as frustrating.

Not only did they fail to solve any of my issues, but they also wasted hours of my time with empty promises and no follow-ups. I've been struggling for a week just to access my own account, and despite calling their "help" line multiple times, I'm still stuck in limbo. ZERO resolution, ZERO progress – just an endless loop of incompetence.

And let's talk about their "unlimited" service for $30 a month. What a laugh! Instead of the promised budget-friendly plan, I found myself staring at a bill with a $210 charge – completely unjustified and a blatant rip-off.

Mint Mobile, you've not only failed to deliver on your basic services, but you've also managed to deceive customers with your false advertising and pathetic attempt at customer support. I demand a refund, but more importantly, I urge everyone reading this: DO NOT make the mistake I did by trusting Mint Mobile. They're a disaster waiting to happen.

Save yourself the headache, frustration, and wasted money – go with ANY other service provider. Mint Mobile is a joke, and they deserve every negative review they get. RUN in the opposite direction if you value your sanity and hard-earned cash.

Mintmobile "customer service" is just a front desk that is texting "tickets" to other departments that do the job. The result is that everything gets messed up and Mintmobile is losing money because they don't want to pay for an actual customer service that does the job while you are talking to them. I got a new plan but selected the wrong eSIM (or their site glitched). I asked them to send me a free physical SIM, they told me I had to pay for it when it would have been free with the order. As a result I requested a refund of the whole order. Later, because I stupidly had ported my number to Mintmobile already, I decided to not refund the order and told the "customer service" to cancel the order refund, which they confirmed. Then I proceeded to order a physical SIM card so I can use my phone number with Mintmobile. A few days later, I get an email that my order refund was sent - the same refund that I canceled through the fake customer service. Then I call them to tell them to cancel shipping of the SIM card since obviously I don't need it. The "customer service" "canceled the order of the SIM card". The next day I get an email that the SIM card has shipped. It turns out that the "customer service" had just texted a "ticket" to another department, who hadn't read it yet and the SIM card shipped. This disconnect between the texting front desk masquerading as "customer service" and the real customer service that does the job on the accounts is the source of all problems at Mintmobile.

Sale dept scams
December 5, 2023

We were made a lot of promises about price and service. We were given the right service for the first 3 months but after that Mint Mobile would not honor what they told us and wanted to charge us 3 times higher price or change us from unlimited to 5 MW limited data.

A v o i d, at all cost!
December 1, 2023

I'm speechless because of the lack of customer service this company offers, when I transfered my line from tmobile, they did not send me the proper QR code to scan. This got me offline completely, I had to go to my local Cafe to get wifi and start texting to an agent... it took 47minutes for an agent to respond to my first message and then would respond every 6-8minutes and totally oblivious of what was going on when I was explaining what the issue was. It's just awful, stick to the main carriers even if you have to spend a little more.

After doing free trial with a Mint SIM card I found reception was pretty good except at my house. This was no surprise because I live in a valley. Nothing works good there. Using my old phone I was able to use wifi calling. We've had no real issues with actual network itself and with any plan costs.
About a month ago I decided I was tired of using a phone which had a very cracked screen. In a chat with Mint they advised that the phone I wanted would have wifi calling. I ordered it on the website for $200, financing it with Affirm. I got a shipment notice and tracking number the next day. A few days later the phone had not arrived. Tracking still showed it to be in the same state where it was shipped from.
Here is where the misery begins. I am not saying that Mint Mobile lost the phone...the USPS did that. And the USPS is really to blame for that aspect of it. But Mint seemed to have no clue what to do. Contacting USPS and reporting a missing package seemed like an alien thing for them to do. After many chats, phone calls and messaging they still seemed confused. I then got a return label from them to ship back a phone I never got. More chats, messaging and calling. I kept requesting them to file the lost package claim to collect payment loss from the USPS and re-send me a phone. Nope. Upon more research, I learned they do not insure what they ship out. This limits what the USPS will pay for a lost package. Also, Mint wanted ME to file the lost package claim. This meant that the max I could get back was $100, leaving me still with $100 of debt for a phone that vanished. Days go by. More messaging and chats. Another return label sent. More chats and messages. The USPS did pay me $100 but denied my appeal for more since there was no insurance. Mint DID put $45 in the "My Wallet" part of my account, but it can only be used to buy more data. A MONTH later I got a notice from Affirm that my balance was zero. I am thankful that someone, somewhere at Mint did something...and it was more than I had asked. However, it did not happen from apart constant, non-stop contacts with Mint customer (non)support.
Update: Researching more, Mint Mobile is now owned by T-Mobile. This does create a customer service issue since Mint cannot do anything T-Mobile will not let it do, or anything that is not already in the system, so this no doubt causes some confusion on the customer service end of Mint.

Abysmal service...
November 26, 2023

I spent 10 days trying to switch to Mint. But their chat reps are so ignorant. NONE of them was able to solve my phone issues because each will be missing one detail over what to do with my A32 Samsung. Their people do not know anything about cells, they did not know about locked phones, or eSIM, or switching carriers properly.

Signed up for $15 month unlimited offer, was told this would continue as long as we renewed for 12 month after initial 3 months, told this at least three time by the rep and it said this on there website "renew for12 months and keep your savingsgoing"...not so, plan goes to $30 per month or more...

Very poor and deceptive bait and switch...
