I signed up for the 15$ 45$ 3 month plan. My next bill went up to 25$. I called them and they asked for my bank account/routing nbr. I asked them why and they signed me up for some phone protection plan with 100$ gift card so I have to cancel within days. They gave me a bogus customer svc nmbr to call about the 15$/month plan. I called and called and called. Something is FISHY! I will cancel that protection plan that 99$s a month extra. FISHY! I will cancel with them!
On 05/03/2024, I made payment for a 12 month service from 06/01/2024 - 05/31/2025. Upon making the payment, I saw the option of making additional payment for 4 month more service. I wanted to change my renewal date from spring to fall due to my travel schedule. So I took the opportunity to make a 2nd payment for service from 06/01/2025 - 09/30/2025. Credit card statement shows these two separate payments. I was able to see the service info when I last checked. Because it is the prepaid plan & I had no issue with Mint Mobile since 2018 so I rarely login my Mint Mobile app. Today 04/30/2025 I received renewal notice via text message. It is very odd as my renewal should be 09/30/2025 or 10/01/2025. I made 3 calls to Mint Mobiles talking to 5 people, 2 of which are from Escalation Team. The information provided to me was Nothing but Lies. After I refuted each of their lies, I was told that the 2nd payment was for a service upgrade, which I never needed, never agreed, never was made aware of. I feel hopeless &helpless as consumer when Mint Mobile Unilaterally wiped out every record in the app & changed info full of lies. I was not aware of the undergoing merger/acquisition on 05/03/2025. Upon hearing the change of ownership from the news, I didn't think business actually will steal our money by change the data/info in the app to make up the lies. As of now, it is not about $63.82. It is principle - can American consumers be at ease that we are protected by respective governing laws so big business will not screw us? If they still $64 from me, what if they steal $64 from all of their 4 million customers? That is a $256 million grand theft? Most people probably won't even notice when they double pay because renewal should be in another 4 months. This is not about $64 or $256 million. As of today 04/30/2025, nothing in the app has the previous information that shows what actually happened. Last when I checked, the prepaid amount was shown in the app. Now it is all gone! This is grand theft & Mint Mobile is stealing from its customers. This needs to be stopped & Mint Mobile needs to be held accountable! This is not how Mint Mobile should conduct its business!
I thought about how cool it would be to not have to worry about paying a monthly bill. Well you get what you pay for. This is the worst service ever! They throttle to no end even when u still have data. You can't trust this network in an emergency or out of the country. Going back to big wireless
I purchased two "Minternational" passes on 1/13/25 for a trip to New Zealand - each one for ten days duration. Once there, I was unable to use them to make any phone calls. In trying to activate the second pass, I inadvertently purchased a third pass on 2/9/25. I never activated it. When I returned, I reached out on 2/24/25 to request a refund for the unused passes. I was told I would get a refund on my credit card for the third unactivated pass, and credit (through the Mint Mobile wallet) for the first two passes, which I could use toward future purchases. My total cost for the three unused passes was $69.13. Unfortunately, Mint Mobile only credited $40 through the Mint Mobile Wallet for the January passes, for which I had paid $45.25, and issued a credit card refund of $11.37 for the February pass (for which I had paid $23.88) I am owed $17.76. I spoke to three different agents today (3/23/25) and got no satisfaction. I was even told that they only had to credit me the cost of a pass ($20) but not the taxes! Nor did they seem interested in crediting me the $10 that was in the Wallet that had gone toward one of the passes purchased on 1/13. I filed a complaint with the BBB and FCC. (I do think the refusal to credit back taxes is illegal.) Also, I wonder if it is illegal to just give me a Mint Mobile credit and not a refund on my credit card, which I had requested. It seems they are making it hard for me not to renew, given I would lose the $40 credit in the Mint Mobile wallet. At this point, because I do not wish to renew my annual phone plan with Mint Mobile, I request the full amount be refunded to my credit card, rather than as a Mint Mobile Wallet credit. Therefore I am requesting a refund of $57.76 to my credit card -- the amount that has not yet been refunded for the cost of 3 international passes which were not usable for me in New Zealand.
My phone number was changed by Mint Mobile by mistake without my agreement and they never left me know. My phone stopped for a few days until I talked to 7 agents and spent on the phone for hours. I left bad review for them. In order to revenge my bad review, they informed all the bank and organizations to terminate my phone without letting me know. Now all my other service like Zelle stopped. They are do so illegally!
This "service" is incapable of sending/receiving texts let alone calls or streaming. Can't access my account because the "service" can't send the "allow access" message. I'm thinking I'd be much better off with no service and just rely on Wi-Fi.
We signed on a family plan 3 phones 5g per line in March. We were on vacation in July and the wife used all her data. So she called to add 1 but it was supposed to be 3 they put her on a 15 gig plan and won't take her off it she has called every billing cycle and they told her that she was all set every time. Now they have no record of March and their is nothing they can do that's crappy customer service. We will be finding a different service provider
Mint is the worst mobile carrier. They have deadspots everywhere. Calls don't get to my phone, text messages are lost in the aether, their DATA is SO bad. I've been with them for three years. I thought they would be worth it for the savings, but I'm halfway through my billing cycle and I'm getting no reception at all. Many carriers with significantly better reception are doing deals at cheap as Mint.
We are using their minternational plan in Australia. Their reps have falsified records (put in customer notes that they did things they didn't actually do) hung up on us twice. Have not fixed the problem. Not trustworthy.
For what it's worth...DO NOT USE MINT MOBILE!
They are totally inept in every aspect of service. I paid for an entire year of cellular service in advance and yet they cut my service off 9 months early!
They have charged my credit card twice for a one time service (over charged) and have after nearly 5 hours, 4-5 Mint representatives, Chat online, they are still unable or unwilling to correct this matter!
I repeat, DO NOT USE MINT MOBILE!
BTW, Mint Mobile is NOT BBB accredited! I wonder why...
Slow shipping not in 24 48 72 and beyond. Today is the 5th business day, paid for fed ex overnight shipping and stuck in label creation not moving with vague answers.
I'm generally very happy with Mint, but their international plans, while better than previously, are still too expensive. I can buy a sim online for about $16 that includes unlimited test and calling and 6gb for 30 days. The best plan Mint offers is $20 ($26 with taxes) for only 10 days! Please improve this Mint. I love your domestic service.
Mint mobile just came out with a new international plan where you buy data by the days, 1,3 and 7 day increments $10, $20 and $40. They are too expensive and there is no rollover of $, as there was in their previous plan, "Uproam".
I just purchased a 30 day, 10gb plan with unlimited texts and local calls for use in almost any country in Europe on Amazon for $17.
Sorry Mint, but you "screwed the pooch" (or fox, such as it is) with this new plan.
They never sent my sim card in 14 days unless I pay more
They got my name and addrss wrong in 3 calls.
They refused refund.
They transfer you 3-4 times for each call.
They agreed to take my money.but not provide refund
It is the most gaslighted condescending customer sevice experience ever...
It is just a scam with celebrity endorsement

I have been their customer for 7 years now. No complaints so far until now. I was appalled today when I got an alert message telling me that I have used 4g data for my monthly 5g plan, which just got refilled the day before, as my billing cycle starts from the first day of the month. It took me 3 hours to have my problem heard before cycling 3 different customer agents and finally getting answered on their chat service, which is mostly a bot. Data usage on my cellphone showed that I used only 219MB in the past 2 days, including today. But they insisted that their system showed I used 4g and blamed the discrepancy on the apps running in the background on my phone. In the meanwhile, they tried to pitch to me a more expensive plan, which I certainly rejected. It used to be a good service, but not any more. Will definitely leave when my current plan expires.
They pass on fees that you cannot easily find in your account to you because they need to comply with federal law. That is part of your business model! As a new customer I paid 3.3% over my $180 plan. But now that I'm in, it's 12% over the $180 with a "recovery fee" that is $18.15! Ridiculous
Yes, AI strikes again. I had left a negative comment about Mint Mobile customer support when I found out that if a customer purchases any phone directly from the Mind website, there is a 7 day window in which to return it. The phone you receive may break on the 8th day, may get a virus on the 8th day, may malfunction on the 8th day--regardless--you are screwed. There are no refunds. Imagine purchasing an Iphone or Android for $1,400 - $ 1,600 dollars. On the 8th day after the purchase, if anything goes wrong Mint Mobile won't refund your money or even allow you to exchange the phone. So I asked the customer service guy "So that means you can buy a $1,500 phone directly from MM and if it breaks, you are out $1,500. The support guy said, "Yes, and it happens." At least he was honest. I found out all this when I contacted MM about 2 weeks after I purchased the phone. I was in another country and couldn't return it within the time frame. But the phone I ordered not only wasn't working properly, but was reviewed by android review sites as the worst model phone the reviewer had tested, giving it a grade of unacceptable. I mentioned all this PREVIOUSLY on sitejabber, then received an AI generated message to the effect that Mint Mobile was very sorry for the poor customer service and to contact them so that they could rectify the problem. I DID call their customer service because the MM message stated that I SHOULD. Well, it took about 45 minutes for thei customer service rep to understand why I was calling and another 15 minutes to discover that the AI generated message was "unactionable" (is that a word even)? So I wasted an hour trying to explain the problem. Unfortunately as it apparently wasn't included in the script the CS, they were baffled. They finally said to copy and paste the AI message and send it to their "live chat" feature. OK. I'll try. I bet I get the same AI generated message though. BTW, you have to look VERY CAREFULLY at the MM website to see this 7 day return policy.
I ordered a phone and plane on 6 Sep 24 and the website says they shipped it that day, After multiple attempts to contact them I finally got through to a salesman. He informed me the phone should have been shipped within 3 days...after some research he told me it was never shipped and he contacted the warehouse only to find out they are "out of stock" and they may get some in 48 hours. The website STILL says they shipped the order and even provide a tracking number which says the post office still hasn't received the phone. I should have bought a phone from a better company then maybe I would have service to comment on. "UPDATE" 15 Sep I called the number given in the reply from Mint and there is no category for customer service only sales and technical support. I got hung up on twice and now I'm on hold after talking to a saleswoman (Christine) and have been transferred to (Mary) job unknown. Mary told me my order is processing, when asked how much longer, she informed me that it was mailed on the 6th of Sep, (a LIE) even though the last time I called I was told that it WASN'T mailed on the 6th because it was out of stock, she told me that it was the Post Offices' fault. When I told her that the post office never got the phone to ship she got confused and put me back on hold. I was just told that to prevent anymore delays they are gonna cancel the order and refund my money, when I explained by doing that they are gonna cause additional delays she got really confused, I explained that it would take days to refund and reorder but she still insisted it would be faster. I'm waiting on a Supervisor (Marcus) now to explain that course of action and he is checking the same things over again...45 minutes so far on this call, "I am recording the call because no one will believe this" 53 minutes total to be told that they won't refund my money UNTIL I return the phone that they never sent. I then explained to Marcus that I can't return something they never sent, he told me that it would be sent out tomorrow the 16th of Sep and when I get the phone to call back to activate it and they may give me some compensation for all the trouble. So far MINT customer service is HORRIBLE!.
Do not get this service. At first it starts off good and then after you have been there for a little while it starts going down hill. I have the prepaid service for unlimited talk, text and data for $40. I started with them on the 6th of the month last year. Now my billing date is the 1st, so how does that work. Yep, they are stealing customers' cellular data and money. On a second note, the send out texts that you can go ahead and pay your bill early. If you don't, they slow down your data and you will barely be able to use your phone. This is what happened to me the past week and then it got so bad, 3 or 4 days before payment is due, data really got slow, and I couldn't use my phone. I called them and they pretend they dont know what you are talking about. One rep actually told me it was time to pay my bill when it really wasn't and from there, I knew what happened. Their ads run unlimited service which means there is no set amount of data you reach. They told me that I had a 4g phone and I asked what that had to do with anything because I still have unlimited service. One day my phone went to SOS. They are liars and thieves. I see they have some lawsuits and hope they have more about what I am talking about here: false advertising and stealing customers' data. I plan to move on after the next month's run out. Do not get them because they are crooked.
Mint Mobile is now TMobile and they've outsourced their customer service to people who know absolutely nothing. My data crashed for no reason and I've been on the phone with Mint for 2 days, speaking with people who have no idea how to help me. It's unsafe and it's costing me money in lost business. I prepaid for my 12 month plan, yet have no service. Please stay away from Mint. It used to be a great company with great customer service and now it's horrible. My "ticket" has been open for 24 hours and I've not heard from anyone and still have no phone service.
UPDATE! I found a better company! It's Verizon's, Visible. Although it costs $100 more annually, so far it is fantastic. BTW, Mint is telling me that they don't give refunds. They forced me to go elsewhere because they couldn't resolve the data issue and now want to keep my money. I was only 2 months into my prepaid year. Run from this company!
I have been stranded outside of airports and hotels. Mint International is not a bad service. It is a non-existent service. There was no signal whatsover in India.
I have missed appountments, been unable to book Uber rides, and have been unable to use various standard apps - like Google Maps, for example. I cannot say enough bad things about this service.
Answer: NO, NO, NO! They have limited hours, even for "chat help". If and when you get ahold of someone, they're inconsistent, inconsiderate, robotic, and they have no record of your previous attempts to get resolution! They make you start all over from the beginning each and every time. Plus, they LIE to you when they say it's "all taken care of."
Answer: If they're legit, I'd like to see them prove it. No brick & mortar, mostly robots and simps for support. No wonder Ryan Reynolds took the money and ran!
Answer: Yes us mobile is better if u can use CDMA type phone on the Verizon system it is faster although it is nothing to jump up and down about it is better.
