I have had a dismal experience with Mint Mobile and strongly suggest that their service should not be used. My experience, a bundling offer they did not provide, tantamount to fraud! I requested a refund and after 1 1/2 months and dozens of calls and promises from Mint, have yet to receive the refund. I have referred the matter to the Attorney General of the state of Washington. Be very careful if you choose to deal with this company! They are cute as foxes but slippery as snakes. Be warned!
I switched from Tracfone to Mint and that was one of the biggest mistakes I've made in the last year., Mint is junk. They have no coverage where I am and you can't reach customer service to talk to anybody. It took me over 3 days to get them to switch my phone # back and I cannot get a full refund for my 3 months of service. You have to really hunt to find a phone # to use to call them an then, they want you to be on Mint to get your phone transferred back toi where it came from when you switched to Mint.
STAY AWAY FROM MINT!
I renewed my plan for $20/month for 10gbs of Data and talk and text. I was shown on the confirmation page that I would be charged $240. I hit confirm and then my dashboard displayed that my renewal amount was $240 and the credit for my renewal was $240. At no time during this process was I told about the $24.65 of taxes and fees that would be tacked onto my renewal amount. I am not complaining about the taxes and fees. I am complaining about the fact that I was not told about them before I agreed to having my credit card charged. I agreed to a $240 charge and it is COMPLETELY DISHONEST to charge the extra $24.65 after the fact WITHOUT TELLING ME! This needs to be made clear at check out and not a moment after. I had to be told by my partner that I was going to be charged more. DO BETTER! BE HONEST!
Quite possibly the worst customer service experience of my life.
Some of the cheapest rates available, but that definitely comes with some of the worst cell reception and customer service available.
Incompetent and unhelpful service people at every turn. People will say something is taken care of to get you off the line, when really nothing has been done. Employees will take weeks to respond, if they ever even do. No one can explain anything. Absolutely flabbergasting.
You better hope you don't mess anything up, this company will just ignore you until their 'return window' is up and keep your money.
Strongly advise against giving these fools any money.
Thank you! BBB better business bureau! No thx Mint mobile because you fought every moment including disappeared!
It took me 5 months of wasted going back and forth.
You (ceo's) are condoning this behavior (free access to good & bad reviews).
Go on the phone, customer x,
And call for a rebate? No rebate department access, how convenient. Your making cash $ hand over fist on people who stop fighting (every penny)
I hear your selling mint mobile, oh! Well those great reviews should enjoy the ride because you will be a victim sooner or later, if you need help! Write BBB
The worst company in the world. I still 4 months to refund my money no bodt listen every day told me 7 days and now its 4 months non refundable. The police not true at all.
This company are a bunch of thieves. Signed up for a 3 month plan gave them $82.00 and never received nothing. They will not give me my money back. Check the BBB something I didn't do it will save you money and anguish. Please check reviews other than their fabricate reviews.
Do not use Mint Mobile. As others have said - don't buy into the hype. There's something wrong with their network, or something wrong with their webpage and internal info about their coverage area and phone compatibility. After confirming with Mint website and a Mint agent that my phone would work, I ported my number to them. The phone would not register on their network. This left me without a phone because it had been ported from my old carrier and so was no longer active there. As others have mentioned, I had a full day with Mint Mobile support trying to get the phone to work on their network. Also as others have mentioned, I've had my share of Mint support agents insist the phone is locked, that the phone is not compatible, or that I have no coverage in my area. So, I send a screenshot from their website showing otherwise. Then I get transferred and it all starts again. No - don't go. Just don't - you have better things to do with your time.
I ordered a sim and prepaid for three months, I never received the sim because their warehouse was shortstaffed so never activated their services and now, I have been trying to get a refund for weeks and they continuously make me send emails and talk to different agents saying that they will process the refund, yet never do it. Their customer service is horrible, none of their agents care about helping you and meanwhile, they fund their business using my money when I never even received services. Worst experience of my life with a mobile service provider. If you give them money, you will never see it again. They just invent excuses to never refund you.
I spent 2 days trying to get the plan going, hours on Chat, and still no results. Nightmare. I pulled out and went back to Consumer Cellular. Now today Mint and it's cheerful little Foxbot cheerfully took almost $50 or off my account! For what?! I don't remember the stupid phone number they gave me, so good luck trying to talk to anybody over there. Beyond frustrated :( Stay away.
I live in south Florida t mobile is used my data speed is painfully slow. 5 to 1.5 mbps just to slow to use. Waste of my money.
Wanted to thank Mint n let it be known that I had a horrible experience with my sim card(not Mint's fault.) All good now. I panicked but they helped me through it.
The level of customer support they offer is zero. I asked to return extra SIM cards. Instead they cancelled everything and left me with no cell service. After paying hundreds of dollars I now have no service. They do not have 24 hour support which you find out after they close for the day. Horrible experience.
UPDATE: I bought a new Samsung phone through Mint when I signed up for their 1 year service. Now the phone isn't working... the connection that charges the phone is defective and as of this very hour it has stopped charging altogether, plus I have very spotty connection with my wifi making the phone totally useless. I know that the reviews say that they are great company, and treat their customers well, but Mint is a defective company in every way.
Interesting... I just read a review on Trustpilot that is almost identical to mine. I got into Mint because it was a good deal at $15 a month. I'm unemployed so I could make this deal work, plus after I checked their site Mint was supposed to have service in MY town.
The first problem I had was there was no service here in my town it took over an hour for them to fix it. I started to get cold feet but they wouldn't take no for an answer and set up my service so that it went through Bend, Oregon in order to keep me as a client. Well, It worked I even had service and just like the review I just read on Trustpilot everything was good so I got a years worth of service... within a month I started to have problems I can't text, there is no internet connection, I can't download apps whether I use my Wifi or I go through the data on my phone. I contacted Mint so that I could get a partial refund but no I had seven days to cancel so I paid a years worth for nothing. I'm going to see if PayPal will help me but I doubt there is a lot they can do. IDK how they have three stars because the customer service is just the word 'no,' I swear since COVID there is no such thing as customer service. My mom has Tracfone as her provider, pays $7 a month, the phone she has is ancient but you know she has service, she can play videos, text, and get on the internet. So who's the smart one in this scenario I guess it would be my mom.
I ported out my number to another phone, but I still had 3 months of service paid for. I called to activate my service on another phone and they cancelled my account without a refund. Just be aware the pricing is promotional.it goes up after your first 3 months
Answer: NO, NO, NO! They have limited hours, even for "chat help". If and when you get ahold of someone, they're inconsistent, inconsiderate, robotic, and they have no record of your previous attempts to get resolution! They make you start all over from the beginning each and every time. Plus, they LIE to you when they say it's "all taken care of."
Answer: If they're legit, I'd like to see them prove it. No brick & mortar, mostly robots and simps for support. No wonder Ryan Reynolds took the money and ran!
Answer: Yes us mobile is better if u can use CDMA type phone on the Verizon system it is faster although it is nothing to jump up and down about it is better.
