They don't speak clear English, broken Mexican, I spent 5 hours and went through 4 different customer service folk, the only upside they were friendly, but friendly does not fix my problems unfortunately.
Wish I had never decided to join Mint, don't believe the hype, find another carrier.

Don't use mint mobile. You will regret it!
November 6, 2022

"Got taken for over $100 by Mint Mobile. Please do not use this company. The service never worked from the beginning. I spoke with 10 different representatives from mint that all gave different reasons for why the service wasn't working. I asked for refund under the 7 days but was told the reason my service doesn't work is bc the tower was down. It would be back up in 48 hours. 48 hours later still not working. I chatted with them over 10 times. They switched me to a different tower. Phone still didn't work. So here I am 18 days in and still no service. So frustrating that I then told I'll request a refund I'm on your side they should have honored this. I was told I would receive a text message once approved. I received a text saying it was declined bc it was pass 7 days and that's their policy. ‍! I paid for 90 days of service and I'm still not getting service. Then I'm told we'll credit you back. How am I gonna be credited back and I cant get any service. So basically I'm gonna stay stuck with no service but they'll credit me back but cant figure out how to fix it or why I am not getting service. The last draw was them asking me to put my sim card into another phone. I dont have another phone so how is that gonna work. No matter how good the price looks dont waste your time. You will be kicking yourself later that you didn't listen to all of these poor reviews. Look at the reviews on trustpilot, they are all very similar bc these people are all telling the truth about their experiences."

Absolutely Do Not pay ahead for Mint service! What they do not tell you is if you cancel your service when you pay ahead, you get NO refund! Let me state that again – if you cancel your service ahead of the prepaid time period, you get absolutely NO REFUND!
I received free service via my internet service provider which gave me access to Verizon (good) network, not subpar access Mint purchases. So, I ported my numbers (mine and my spouses) to the new carrier thinking as with most reputable service providers I would be refunded my unused portion of service. I completed an online form to get a refund and when I called to check after a month of hearing nothing, they told me I would not get a refund. This seems illegal to me that they keep funds for unused services provided but I am checking with an attorney on that who says there is a potential class action lawsuit investigation concerning this issue. Just wanted to warn all unsuspecting buyers who think you might get a better deal to pay in advance – Do Not Do It!

WORST CELL CARRIER EVER!
October 27, 2022

This company (owned by Ryan Reynolds) is the worst cellular service I've encountered. They download the sim to my iPhone via the web and it screwed my phone up so badly that I went back to my other carrier (Consumer Cellular) which took two days for them to fix the problem that was downloaded by MINT. With mint I was unable to text or call anyone that did not have an iPhone... plus they added a feature for cellular data that was what caused the problem... so every time I wanted to call I needed to make sure the cell data feature was not on the contact info but had to click on the primary # or my phone wouldn't work. Mint was USELESS when it came to them helping (plus the accents were so thick it was VERY HARD to understand them). They had no idea what they were doing! DO NOT USE MINT MOBILE IF YOU WANT YOUR PHONE TO WORK EFFICIENTLY!

We had a three month contract with Mint Mobile. Everything went pretty great the first time around. We renewed and about 10 days after we renewed, all of our data, texting, pretty much everything, except for calling was not working. We called them to let them know the problem. We went through about a week of troubleshooting, and nothing was working. My husband uses his phone for work and was getting in trouble because his phone wasn't working. He uses his phone for his job all day long. (Maps and payments) When we asked for a refund for the next two months, they told us it was outside of their return policy, and that the only thing they could do is troubleshoot. They literally went through all of their troubleshooting, and it still didn't change anything. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US THE REFUND EVEN THOUGH THEY COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM.

Fully recommend
October 22, 2022

I'm a new customer and I started today after being with T-Mobile for over 8 years. I had to leave in the end because it was one lie after another and so many promised callbacks that never came.

Apart from a problem activating the SIM card everything else has been very quick and it's been a beautiful transition. Mints customer service has been very helpful.

I have never had such bad service.
I ordered a new iPhone (paid up front) the phone I was sent is clearly not new. It's either second-hand or reconditioned.
Every time I speak to Customer Service they tell me they will send me a return label within 24 hours. It has now been 8 days and I have just been told 24 hours again.
I don't believe they are trying to resolve my issue at all.
BE VERY WARY OF ORDERING FROM THEM!

Terrible connection
October 15, 2022

This the worst mobile connection I have ever had, drop calls, delayed texts, and No GPS most of the time, and BTW if you sign up and pay in advance for 1 year, you only have 7 days otherwise if you try to cancel after that they take your money and No refund. Stay away from this very cheap and worthless Mobile network.

Awful customer service
October 13, 2022

Tried to move my service from AT&T to Mint. I am using an iPhone 14 and after 6 hours on the phone, they never could get it to work. Since my number had been transferred, I no longer had any phone service.

I tried to get my account number so I could move to a service that knows what they are doing. They said the only way I could get my account number was for them to send me a text. Of course that was impossible, since the service never worked!

After many more hours I finally got someone to give me my account number.

Then I filed for a refund per their 7 day policy. It was rejected. So not only did they screw up my service, they refused a refund!

I've had some bad customer service in my life, but this is by far the worst.

You should avoid this business due to horrible customer service and no refunds for when it doesn't work.

Be very careful
October 13, 2022

This is the second time since last Nov I have lost phone service, can use internet but cannot receive or make calls. After many phone calls trying to understand the people in India another new SIM card was sent that again could not be activated. My husband prepaid for service until next June 2023. I have had enough and switched to T-Mobile. My husband asked to have the payment until June 2023 switched to his phone and was told they don't do that. Be very careful, they have shut my service off two times in one year or are supplying faulty SIM cards. Money lost. T-Mobile is a little more but the people could not be nicer and helpful and you can understand them. Mint probably won't be in business for long judging by all the negative reviews.

Do not purchase "rebuilt" phones from them
September 6, 2022

I purchased a "google pixel 3XL" and in checking with google for the manufacturer warranty I found that Google does not recognize this phone as a legitimate google phone. I have provided a string of 18 emails and a chat record between myself and Google with Google's statements about the phone. Mint Mobile sales was also provided with this info and Mint is refusing to replace it because I am past my 7 day, or 30 day, or 60 day warranty (had phone since middle of June, 2022). They refuse to address the issue of this being a counterfeit phone.

My Mint Mobile Disaster
September 3, 2022

Worse experience with a company in my entire life.

I ordered and paid for a brand new iPhone 12 ($730) and SIM card deal. Buy 3 months/get 3 months free! This was ordered online on Dec. 21,2021 and paid next day delivery. So I could get it before Christmas, for my son.

I never got it! They never reshipped the missing or lost or stolen package. Tried to get help. Only told that, "They are looking into it!"

It now has been "256 days", countless phone calls and empty promises. This has to be the worse phone service company, bar none! At least for purchasing a cell phone from and/or the shipping company they used. That being FedEx! Most likely, dishonest delivers! May they receive their just judgement sooner than later as well!

Yes, Mint Mobile has the worse customer service in the world, from my perspective!

Now 17 days ago, one of their agents, after being on the phone with me for a very long time, said. "This is not how we operate?" We usually resend the lost or unrecieved order, right away!

Then he told me, it was all taken care of now! Here is your new re-shipment ticket number #M-*******... You should receive your phone and promised SIM card deal, in 5-7 business days...

Again, that was 17 days ago, and nothing! Several calls back, and all I get is, we will look into this! Sure! What did I get, again... No help! No explanation! Still no resolution!

Tonight, some customer service agent I talked to, said, "We'll call you right back in 45 min. To an hour, so we can check warehouse shipping dept. to confirm they have an iPhone 12 there to send you and get it out to you." 3 hours later still no call back. Called back 3 times prior, put on hold, cut off. Had to try again, and again... Insanity! Worse experience with any company bar none, they are dragging me through hell. We have 2 other phones, using their phone services, actually for several years! Happy for the most part. But buying a phone from them has been the worse experience in my life. So many times, they said they would call me back. Never once, had they done so.

I have been a Mint customer for 2 1/2 years. Their coverage is not very good but with VOIP and wifi assistance it is fine. They are almost completely unusable outside of the US. All that is fine - it is only $15/mo. I recently had a problem that needed customer assistance to fix. Between their online "chat" and 800 telephone number I have spent more than 3 hours in the past 2 weeks trying to get a very simple fix. All of their customer service reps can only follow a script and will not provide any information that allows you to escalate an issue to get a common sense fix. The bottom line is NEVER PAY FOR 1 YEAR OF SERVICE - PAY BY THE MONTH. If you have a problem before you have used your year subscription they will not refund or credit your account. This is even if the loss of service is their error. Ryan - I am crushed and would have expected more from the company you own for a loyal customer.

Things were going well and then I was due a refund. Customer service is awful; I keep getting the runaround as to where my refund is. I am thinking about filing in small claims court and changing carriers.

Decent call and signal strength as they are based on the T-Mobile network. They dropped the ball when it came time to renew my plan. I prepaid 4 days in advance & confirmed that they received payment in my Mint Mobile user account. Four days later, my plan did not renew as stated. You cannot actually speak with a customer service representative, so I opened the first of three chat sessions. Chat #1: Agent told me the plan would refresh at a specific time (Pacific time) later that day (20 minute session). Chat #2: After that specific time lapsed, an agent told me he would attempt to refresh the plan manually. That failed, so he escalated to an upper level technician. That also failed, so the tech tried again, and that also failed. Per the agent, he escalated the manual refresh higher up. On the third try, they deactivated my cell service & my user account indicated my plan had expired. The agent told me my payment was rejected due to a charge back by my credit card company. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but no one was available, so I gave up (70 minute session, numerous hold times). The next morning, I checked my credit card transaction log to confirm the Mint Mobile charge posted the day after I submitted payment. Chat #3: I asked to speak with a supervisor to contest their explanation, but a supervisor was steadfast it was an error on my side when I confirmed it was definitely their problem. The supervisor told me they would work with me only if I submitted written proof from my credit card company that they made no charge back (60 minute session, lengthy wait time, left me hanging with no cell service). I called my credit card company, their CSR verified they did not issue a charge back & I opened a dispute to get my 12-month charge refunded. I have a transaction history from both sides, so I will win the dispute, but I lost cell service for at least several days, they lost a customer for life, and I will be moving to a more reliable wireless carrier. Mint Mobile customer service is absolutely awful, does not recognize their mistakes & will make you work to get a refund for service not provided. AVOID MINT MOBILE LIKE THE PLAGUE OR MONKEYPOX OR YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE.

People must not have checked their phones compatibility or something, because Mint works great for me! I ensured that:
My phone was GSM Unlocked
I had coverage on T-Mobile's network in my area
My phone passed the compatibility check on mint's website
In my state in the US, Mint/T-Mobile reception is exceptional and my phone was activated in 5 minutes. Can't beat the price! People probably just didn't care enough to make sure it worked for them, hence the bad reviews. I recommend it, especially at the price of only $15 a month for the 4GB plan. If you're interested, you can use my referral link to get your first month free.

Would I Refer a Friend? No
August 2, 2022

Would I Refer a Friend? No

Why would Mint Mobile sell a phone that would not be able to be used on the MInt System less than TWO (2) months before making it obsolete?
Why?
Ps We have three accounts, two have been switched, one changing soon. The two new accounts we opened last week... were not with Mint.

Phone purchased 6-2-2022
No longer compatible 7-1-2022
Service was questionable at best.
