After a full year of no issues, my contract came up for renewal. I needed a new phone, so chose a 12 month plan with phone. I went back and forth with customer service for 3 days before I finally asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor insisted they can't transfer from mint to mint, so I would have to change my cell phone number that I've had for 25 years. I refused so I am returning the phone and plan. It's been a nightmare. In my panic at not having a phone (I have breast cancer) I paid twice for the 3 month plan. Now I'm stuck with them for another 6 months on my old phone, which is dying. I'm on a very limited budget due to breast cancer. I'm trying to live on SSI so this is a nightmare for me.
Customer service is horrible. I have wasted hours of my life on the phone every week for the past 6 weeks with nice but incompetent people, each of whom promises me my refund for a product I returned 4 months ago will be issued within 7 days. Each week the refund is not issued and they gaslight me once again. If you never have to deal with customer service you may have an ok time with mint. But if you do, be prepared for hours and hours of frustration and headache. I am definitely not renewing my service, even though I have been a loyal customer for 2 years.
They never could get my phone set up. I spoke with one airhead that had no idea what she was doing, one lady that left me on hold and never returned so phone disconnected, one lady that said she would call me back and never did, and one man that told me my phone was not compatible, although the Mint website said it was. The fourth phone call to these absurd technicians was the one where I asked for a refund, which I was lucky to receive the next day. Whew! Never, never, never sacrifice good customer service with your phone plan.
I got the shim card on December 3th
Paid for December 1st same day I installed the shim card from my old carrier after 12 Years with them
And Mint give me a "temporary "number 14 Days later they have problems transferring my number from my former carrier
I been chatting with them a few times and never get nothing fixed
Customer service "stinks"really bad
I think they are pulling their employees from Home Depot they don't know what they are doing at all I'm very disappointed
I'm thinking of move back to my former carrier

I am having problem with call drops. I called customer service many times and every time "they check IMEI and connecting to strong network" looks like its standard answer. I fed-up with their answer and i asked to refund my money, agent disconnected my call. Than i asked in chat and after submitting the request for refund they denied. Now i lost my money and with bad bad service. I asked for new sim and checking my luck. Overall in my understanding they don't care about your issues
Non existing customer service, but then if u do get a hold of someone they do nothing to help u.
Never again, can't wait for my 3 months to be up..
Mint mobile IS A NIGHTMARE!
The worst decision I ever made with my phone line. For the first month everything was fine so I subscribed to one year plan, after 3/4 months everything stop working. I'm not able to make phone calls, internet data is in 2g (impossible to use) and constant frustration of people trying to send me messages and I don't receive them. MINT IS THE WORST! In the attempt to save money with Mint you compromised your health with all the problems they give you.
And now I'm changing operator, And Mint will NOT REFUND ME THE SIX MONTHS I'D PAID IN ADVANCE! Don't do the same mistake STAY AWAY FROM MINT MOBILE
I was getting so many dropped calls on Mint Mobile that I decided to switch to another carrier. I had paid Mint a year in advance and had only used 4 months. No refund. Ok, I said, I'll come back and use up my contract. " Well, first you need to pay another 3 months to get signed up again." Throw good money after bad? In the meantime I get a BS Christmas card from Ryan Reynolds. Phooey. Try living on Social Security, Ryan.
This is THE worst cell company I've ever TRIED TO use. I say tried because I ordered a phone and prepaid for one year. I never received the phone. After numerous calls to their "customer service" numbers... which by the way are all located in Dominican Republic, Mexico and Philippines...I was given the run around for two months. They kept giving me new ticket numbers... to start a new 24-48 hour clock.
My package never arrived... and one rep was honest and looked up the FedEx ticket. THEY CHANGED MY ADDRESS WHEN SHIPPING. Bottom line... they shipped the phone to the wrong address and refused to give me a refund. I had to dispute through PayPal and eventually my credit card company reversed the charge. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Buyer beware.
Regrettably, I switched to the mint mobile for a 6-month offer on 11/28/22 of service as it was a better deal. I was not able to use 1 day to call no service. I Could not make any calls, on Dec 8,2022, after 10 days I asked Mint Mobile support to help resolve my issue and 5 agents were lying the same way. They refused to issue my refund due to the policy of more than 7 days I was with them yet never made one call, please never switch to Mint you will be scammed.
I'm an uber driver and lost connection right in the middle of a huge day. Missed out on probably about 200$ worth of earnings due to Mint Mobile. Would not recommend their service.
Mint Mobile is hands down the most disorganized customer service system I've ever experienced. Clearly they require prepayment because once you activate you're gonna want out quickly.
Customer service is HORRIBLE. No one actually listens, u have to cut them off from their pre-scripted platitudes to get a word in edgewise. The are uneducated about their product and internal systems. I went 16 days without service when switching to them. They gave my imported number to another customer. I spent 46 hrs on the phone with 20+ reps and 5 supervisors over 2 weeks just to get my new phone activated and the other customer OFF my account. I decided NOT to go through that on the other 2 lines I prepaid for so I got burned for 2 lines prepaid for 3 months without a refund.
SWITCHING BACK TO OLD CARRIER ASAP

After 45 days most of the time only SOS calls allowed, cellular data barely works. Stuck in plan for 1 year and unhappy. Be sure to read complete agreement before signing up. Service will work fine until the refund window is gone. Do not recommend Mint Mobile. Worth it to pay more for another carrier.
Like everything else in life it turned out to be too good to be true. I signed up for the service and talked to someone on the phone and they assured me the SIM card would work in my phone. I gave them the correct make and model number and they sent me out a SIM card after I had ported my phone to this new service when the SIM card arrive I installed it and nothing happened I called their customer service and talk to three different people all told me the same thing take it out put it back in and try it again. After a couple of days of not having any service or being able to get ahold of anybody at mint mobile I finally got to talk to someone and explain the situation and they told me that my phone was not compatible with their SIM card after all it was a real nightmare getting my old service back and my old number returned to me. Do not use mint mobile run run very far away tell everyone you know do not use mint mobile
So I ordered a sim card and its been miss shipped / delivered at least 4 to 5 times. They just say sorry and send a new one i never get because even though they have the right address they cant seem to handle it. Its ferry not fairy in the confermation emails i get the address is always correct but then they $#*! it up. I have no active phone right now because of this crap they are pulling with me. Its really sad and pathetic really.
Mint mobile never sent me SIM cards, sent me wrong ones and then won't give me my money back after 3 months of trying to work with them. Terrible terrible service. If they say they're going to do something, they won't get it done. DON'T GET MINT MOBILE.
Worst customer service I've ever received.
I purchased a phone and paid for a line for 1 year. When it came time for me to activate my line, they were not able to transfer my old number to my new line.
I asked for a new number but they were not able to provide me with a number with my area code. I didn't want that so I asked for a refund. They are now denying my refund since I purchased the line a month ago even though I didn't activate it.
I have been on a call with for 12 hours straight.
The first person I talked to (Wang #*******) told me "you can't use your line" and proceeded to try to connect me with a manager. I waited an hour for the manager but never got to him. He told me that the manager will call me in 5 minutes and hung up but I never received a call.
I re-called and the second person could barely understand english. The phone cut out...she said she will call me but never did.
Third person tried helping me but ended up needing a manger (was with him for 2.5 hrs) but it was the end of the day and they told me that the manager will call me back tomorrow. No one called me in the morning!
I re-called in the morning and talked to a manager for 3 hours. She was not able to help me out and told me that she processed the refund.
2 hours later I get an email that my refund is denied, I re-call again and have to wait 1hr to talk to the manager. Manager took another hour to troubleshoot and said they can't help me. They have to start an investigation which will lead to a decision about me getting my refund.
Still have not received a re-fund.
I would not advise anyone to use their services. Customer service is terrible, hold times take hours and most of the agents don't know how to speak english.
I would give them a lower rating than one star. I prepaid for 3 months of service in April 2022. It worked fine. Then I prepaid for a year of service in July 2022. It immediately started dropping calls and in early October it stopped working completely. This was our main number that we had for many years. I spent many hours with their support people. They sent a new SIM card after saying they would 2 other times. It did not work. After a month of endless calls, we talked to a support person and told them we needed the number to work. We asked if we could port the number to another carrier and then get them to issue us a new number so we could continue to work on the problem. They agreed and we did this. When we called to get a new number, we were told the account had been closed and also told that they were sorry we were misled. We spent over $260 and they refuse to consider a refund since we are past the 7 day period of refunds. This is a pretty convenient rule (for Mint). We did everything in good faith. It is not our fault we had no working service after the first few months.
Worst customer service experience we've had! 6 days without phones because their e-sim didn't work and they were unable to "unlock" our new phones, finally canceling and switching back to our old provide that charged us of course for reinstanting. Ryan Reynolds may be cute, but Mint Mobile is not.
Customer service is a mind $#*!.

No refund possible, it seems, after 7 months in (I paid for a full year). I'm still waiting on some obscure technician to call me back. It's been 5 days since a ticket was created in order for my problem to be addressed. My datas haven't been working for a month now. I have tried everything that was suggested to me (and repeated myself A LOT in the process). And still, can't reach the internet unless there is WIFI around, nor neither can I send & receive texts.
Answer: NO, NO, NO! They have limited hours, even for "chat help". If and when you get ahold of someone, they're inconsistent, inconsiderate, robotic, and they have no record of your previous attempts to get resolution! They make you start all over from the beginning each and every time. Plus, they LIE to you when they say it's "all taken care of."
Answer: If they're legit, I'd like to see them prove it. No brick & mortar, mostly robots and simps for support. No wonder Ryan Reynolds took the money and ran!
Answer: Yes us mobile is better if u can use CDMA type phone on the Verizon system it is faster although it is nothing to jump up and down about it is better.
