I get all my frames and jewlery making from this store only. Friendly employees and they have coupons every corner of the store
I love going to Michael's, so much variety and I could spend hours there. However, their site, not so much. For me, it was hard to navigate the website and find what I need. I actually ended up needing to go to the store and take a picture of what I needed and find it by the item code online (I needed to buy things in bulk and in the store, it was always out of stock or only 1-3 available). However, I did find everything I need and the check-out process was simple and easy and the shipping was pretty quick/average. I am satisfied but I would like to see some upgrades done to their website in the future to make it easier to navigate.
They have some of the best selcetion of arts and crafts essentials. It is so hard to not walk out with a bunch of projects at once. They also have a selection for young children. I have found many child friendly family projects.
Anytime I need art supplies or craft supplies I go to michaels and I end up finding everything I need. It's such a good store and whenever they have sales or coupons it's a always a reasonable offer.
I signed up for a autumn cookie class on 8-6-18 at 8716 JW clay Blvd in Charlotte NC and it was cancelled unknown why. No one asked for a phone number when I signed up so I had to find out after the fact. There was a rain storm the same day of the class and the storm had cleared up by the time of the class at 6:30 pm. What was disappointing about this is when you plan anything you need to always have a back up plan for the person that is teaching the class in the event they cancel. You do not want to disappoint the customers. Of course I purchased the supplies from Michael's and had to get a refund. I wanted to learn how to decorate. Going forward It would help to be better prepared when you are offering something in store and online.
What I love about michaels is that when the new comes in the old has to go out and if you keep an eye out you can find really good deals like we did on their clearance wedding merchandise. String lights, our ring bearer pillow, and a lot more came from michaels right in their clearance isle for 70% off. Saved us big time.
Terrible Website. Hard to use. Long shipping periods. Inaccurate product descriptions. Wrong items sent. Michael's really had so much less products than ever before.
Michael's is a fun place for crafty people. They don't have everything you might want, but they keep a fairly broad stock of arts and crafts supplies. Prices can be high or low compared to value, depending on the item. Coupons can helpful and are always available online now. These frequently give you 40% off a single item.
I shop at Michael's for things I cannot get at Walmart or don't want to wait to get from an online shop. Michael's carries things like high-end drawing tools, a great variety of yarn, a whole aisle of ribbons, cake decorating items, and a huge selection of scrapbooking supplies.
I purchased some items for my daughter's wedding reception from Michael's on-line store because they didn't carry what I wanted in the brick and mortar store in our area. I did not like 2 of the items and took them to the store to exchange them for the ones I wanted. However, at the store they told me that they could not accept them and I had to call and get approval and then send them back. I have never ordered something from a company that had a store and they wouldn't take an on-line order as a return. I recommend shopping around at other party stores before ordering from Michael's.
I enjoy shopping at Michael's Crafts, however the sales associates who work there (this is a general statement by the way), do not have much knowledge of the products that are sold there, especially when it comes to jewelry. I hope this review gets out to Michael's that it would be nice to have sales associates more product knowledge than them knowing how to run the register.
I ordered a scrapbook kit during the holidays. The delivery was fast and the kit was excellent. I had never done scrapbooking before and this kit had everything spelled out for you.
This store is wonderful but also overwhelming because there is just so much. I've purchased a lot here, mostly from the actual store itself, not the website. The best is when you can find deals or coupons on certain items you are looking for. I've gotten some cool frames when these deals were going on - like 50% off. It's awesome.
This is the second time I have visited my local store. I am sorry to say that this visit was even worse then the first. I went to this store specifically for a couple of items advertised in their sale ad on the second day of the sale. The shelves were bare throughout the store and I thought maybe I was in the middle of a going out of business sale! The aisles are too close together. If you have a shopping cart as well as someone coming the opposite direction has a shopping cart, someone is bound to get injured or cussed out! I could not even get down the aisle that I wanted even after waiting for 30 minutes and the store was not that crowded. I finally tracked down a sales person and when I asked her about being out of a specific item, she stated "it is what it is" and turned and walked away from me without asking me if she could help me with anything else. The overall attitude of the staff comes across as don't bother me, I don't make enough money to put up with customers like you! I did run into one employee, and I do mean run into an employee as she struck me with a shopping cart and she acted as if I was the one in the way. I understand that everyone has a bad day every now and then but every employee having a bad day at the same time is more than just a coincidence! When I did checkout, the male cashier was as bland as vanilla pudding. He didn't ask me if I found everything I needed or thank me for shopping there. He in fact acted inpatient for me to move on after practically throwing my change at me and some ended up on the floor and me having the nerve to hold his line up while I picked my money. Mister, you don't have to worry about this customer coming back to bother you. My money is good at a lot of other stores!
Love michaels for crafts... have been making beaded jewelry for about a year now. Just this past weekend... went to Michaels website, browsed, found exactly what I was looking for, printed out 40% off one item coupon... and so happy with my product! One of my favorite stores!
I wouldnt buy online, go to the store instead. The online catalogues are out of date a lot of the time in my experience. Personal experience is always better, and Michaels is a great company overall.
The store in Springfield, VA has the worst manager, her name is nancy, she is rude & nasty. Also she has her 2 teen girls with her working, she steals from the company & writes it off as a theft. She needs to get fired for this. I oer heard her bad mouthing all the employees, better watch the register. Here sister Bootsie does the book keeping in Woodbridge. She is a theif big time. Watch out & don't go there.
Answer: Why can't you speak with a supervisor or team leader.Do they have any or are they just that busy.
Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
