They are a nightmare deal with. To call you will be on hold for over an hour. To return anything is even worse. They had my email address incorrect that they typed in incorrectly and then wouldn't correct it to send a return label. They had to speak to a supervisor to do so who was not available. They refused to call me back or email me or give me any contact information. They said I had to wait 3-4 days and then call back to be on hold again for another hour. This is after I called twice already. I will never use them again.
Ordered all the decorations for my daughters 4th birthday party TOMORROW was supposed to be here 3 days ago had expedited shipping was told it was shipped look up tracking UPS doesn't have it called Michaels hours on hold hours on chat (not lying) hours finally they never shipped it never emailed never called and refused to let me talk to a supervisor they made every excuse first said it take 3-5 days to process 7-10 days to ship when i received an email it was processed and shipped a week ago and UPS didn't pick it up. Then said they made the label then tried to blame everyone else. Wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor at all i asked why they couldn't give me the decency as a customer to email me or call me to let me know the item had not been shipped they dropped my call 2 times such poor poor service from Michaels store and from their customer service staff. Long story short they did nothing couldn't care less and I have a 4 yr old crying with no decorations for her party Will never shop there again
Placed an online order on December 21,2021. Had not received it by the 31st. Called and cancelled item. I was told that they would cancel. Went to store and purchased item. Item still charged on my credit card. Called customer care back only to be told that I can (1) drive to ups, none in my area, or (2) take to Michaels store, 8 miles away. I would not have had a problem if it was paint or something I could use again. It was varnish. My project is finished, so I will not need it. Will trash it, and use another craft store. I was a loyal customer, not anymore.
I posted this review on there online store and they deleted it.
"Item is as described. Shipping took over 2 weeks. When I contacted customer service they lied about shipping time. There web page states 3 to 5 days delivery. Customer service tried to tell me it takes up to 15 days. I will never purchase anything from Michael's again."
When ordering online, they give you an estimate of when item when arrive. They also state in their email confirmations and shipping confirmations that they will arrive within the dates given to you at checkout. Well, that is ALL a LIE. They do not uphold any of that. I ordered something for my classroom, paying extra (when I could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere) because I needed it and the dates stated worked for me. The item will be a week OVER the date stated. It will be useless to me. I ordered it for a holiday project in my classroom and it will arrive when the school is closed. I contacted the online chat and they said to contact UPS and that they would change the address. UPS said contact the sender. Here was the back and forth, with no help from anyone.
I will never order from Michaels again.
I ordered a Christmas present for my son 23 days before Christmas because it said will be delivered in 3-5 business days. 7 days later it hasn't even been shipped and their customer service said it can take up to 19 business days. If it said that I wouldn't have ordered it. Why wouldn't they tell you this before purchase. I wish I could give negative stars. This was the worst experience ever. Last time I'll shop at Michael's and I will let everyone I know how terrible they are. They did nothing to help me!
I would assume they would have more in there stores since the take over of Darice. Darice had an abundance of crafting supplies at a GREAT price! Micheals is a great disappointment. They should really step up thier game or they will loose a lot of customers.
I ordered a Christmas tree on-line the first week of November so we would have it to decorate in St Nick day (Dec 6). After 2 weeks, I checked in the tree because it hadn't arrived and didn't have a tracking number. Customer service assured me that the tree was on its way but that there were some shipping delays. I accepted that because it's the norm lately. After another week, I tried locating a tracking number and called to check on it. I was told it would have a tracking number in a day or two. On Dec 5, I called again a bit frustrated that we had to cancel our family tradition. I was now notified that the tree is out of stock and was never in transit. I had to work very hard to get my refund on their egregious error. I don't write negative review typically, but this one was so excellent at being awful that I thought it deserved proper recognition.
Bought 6.5 foot Christmas tree online. What was sent Was NOT what was described online! Took back to Flint Township MI. Store Manager stated since ONLY sell 7 ft in store, couldn't accept it & would have to send back with shipping label! Customer service is awful! She states that it's sent by a 3rd party, it's not the fault of Michael's, even though it's on Michael's website. I've not got a credit yet on my card and was told in store that it could take months! I'm stuck in limbo… they got the tree and my $350.
Worst C/S! Received a damaged item, was told they would send a replacement at no charge. Called back couple of days later, still hadn't shipped the item. Called again 2 more days later and they cancelled the reshipment because only the top if the item was damaged. Seriously! The start, the most important part is missing! They are a joke. Finally got a refund. Will not be ordering anything from them online again!
I shop at my local Michaels all the time. No problems, all the employees are kind and I can usually find everything I need.
I made the decision this year to make a few purchases through online shipping. Michaels ships a lot of packages through lasership. As some may know, Lasership loses half their packages and they're shipping is EXTREMELY slow. I placed orders well over a week ago that they made the label for and lasership has supposedly "not received the package". I could have walked into my store and grabbed all of this and had it that day. Then, on top of it, what I have already received has ALL been damaged. Not just a couple things, but EVERYTHING. It's been 4 items now damaged. And honestly, I don't think this part is the shipping companys fault. I truly think that Michaels is shipping out returned items and/or defective damaged items. The items I ordered were all Lemax Christmas Village items and they are not cheap. I don't expect to pay $100 and receive what appears to be a store's floor model, used with half of the pieces broken off of it. In addition, most of these items are now sold out online so Michaels' has no answers for me. I don't want a refund, I want the item that isn't damaged. I am deeply regretting purchasing anything online. I wanted this stuff to decorate my Christmas village but now I fear I won't be receiving some of these items until close to Christmastime. I also wish they hadn't marked it as "shipped" when they haven't shipped it, as this now prevents me from being able to cancel the order and just go get it myself.
In addition, another reviewer stated she was charged multiple times for items. This is 100% accurate. I placed all my orders using a credit card, and I have been charge 2-3 times for EVERYTHING. On one of the damaged items, the live chat representative helped me out by refunding me since the village piece didn't work at all. Guess how they refund you? They charge you again! Probably so that when they give you a refund you think they refunded you, when they actually just refunded the second charge so it's a wash. I am literally out probably close to $400 in extra charges that I never authorized. Sketchy company. I just hope the charges fall off at some point. I am very grateful I purchased this with a credit card, since I know my card company will protect me. I would never recommend purchasing anything with a debit card, you have to use a credit card and just hope for the best. Or maybe see if Joann's or Hobby Lobby carries it so you don't have to go through what i've been through.
I Ordered Ceramic Sugar Skulls They Never Arrived Then I had A Re Shipment They Came Broken How Disappointing I Was Able T receive A Refund But Still How Sad To Rely On A Shipment So Late Then Comes Broken They Need To Adjust Their Delivery Service & Who Packages So Light That Ceramic Is Broken In Delivery Very Disappointed I Was Glad They Were Able to Refund Me, but It Does Not Take Away From Giving Me Broken Mdse How Careless So Sad

In October, I ordered a cream-colored tabletop wagon for floral displays. I received my order on time, but it was an orange color. I checked my order slip and it showed the cream color was ordered. So when I wrote a 4 star review on their site online, taking off one star for not receiving the correct color, I was shocked to see an from them, telling me I needed to edit my review before they could publish it. They actually highlighted the part of my review where I mentioned they had problems filling my order correctly. So I re-word the review, still explaining that I received the wrong color. I got a subsequent email asking me to edit again! They highlighted the part of my email where I said I received the wrong color. Apparently, you are n ot allowed to leave a truthful review if you had any issues.
Cashier standing at the end of the register I asked her for a price check she said I don't have a price gun on me I will have to go to the register to get I'm thinking it's right there she was rude to the elderly couple in front of me as well she's rude Uncalled for
Just another online site with foreign, useless customer service. Nothing against foreigners; this is all on #*@&% Michaels. At the time I placed the order, on the order page, it said the item would be delivered in 5 days at most. Received an email from them saying "yay" my order had been shipped. BS. Only the label had been created. This is a new, prevalent scam with these online sellers. Creating a label triggers an email to the buyer that the item has shipped when, actually, the seller has only created a label and is sitting on the package. Nice. When I contacted the barely-English-speaking CS, I was told, twice, that it would take 9 days to ship. First chat person actually hung up on me. They refused to cancel order because it was "in the shipping process." 10 days later and I still don't have it. I won't buy from these lying scammers again. If you do, at the very least, I suggest you buy onsite and not online.
Used the curbside pickup for some much needed yarn to complete project. Order was ready when I got there, waited approximately 2 minutes before clerk brought package out, she could not have been more kind, and thanked me for my order! They had what I needed, and offered the best possible customer service! I love Michael's!
I ordered two sets of t-shirts. 12 in a package. While i was on there website they had a promotion going for same day delivery. Since it was past the cut off point for same day delivery. I had the option of next day delivery. Fair enough. That was soon enough, so I placed the order. However later on I received an email saying my product would be shipped out Monday. So much for next day deliver. So I went to online chat customer service. He said that he would have to transfer me to elevated support so they could update and expidite the shipping. So I spoke to the elevated support person who said she was sorry but once the order is completed it is impossible to make any changes. Great... more time wasted.
Sunday I receive an email saying my oder had been cancelled. I thought to myself... really. So as I read the email. It said your order has been cancelled because one of these 3 reasons.

Cant ship to that location
Minimum quantity not met
So how am I supposed to know which reason it was, in case I would still want the item. Spend another 30 minutes talking with a customer service person, who may or may not give me the correct answer? Put another hold of $50-$100 on my bank account for days and days.
For a large company to have shoddy systems set in place, just tells me someone is getting paid to be ina position and perform a job they are obviously not qualified for, or are just not doing there job.
Seriously... Weve cancelled your order, spin the lucky wheel to find out the reason why. More or less thats what they are doing by having a multiple choice answer.
I'm not sure what my solution will be. The one thing that cannot be replaced is time. And they have already stole a goof hour to an hour and a half of mine.
Buyer beware is the best advice I can give to you about this company. Flip a coin and go with those results.
I'M VERY crafty so Michaels is just for me! If you are crafty you will like Michaels a lot just like me!
Omg, so I went to Michaels the other day w/my mom checking out Halloween decor, & saw the amazing sale they had on these candles, 3 for $9.99, smokin deal, so I got 3 of them. They smell amazing, love them!
Placed an online order with Michael's the Bala Cynwyd store at 3:12 pm. I did receive a conformation stated it was received. After waited all day, I called the stores at 8:12 to check the status, o was told the order was ready, and they close at 9:00pm. Once I arrived at retrieve my order, then I received a confirmation my order was ready at 8:40pm. The order was for two (2) items. And they didn't include a receipt!
I can't imagine why a small order, would take all day to fill!

Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
