The store opens at 9 am. I got there at 9:45 and was told that the framer would be there 10:15. I did some shopping and came back at 10:30. There was still no framer. I would have thought if they different hours then the store they would advertise this. So sad that I was hoping to get this done. I guess not.
I am a professional artist. Several years ago, I had to stop buying gallery wrapped canvases at Michaels due to warping. I started back a year ago. But have had to stop again due to warping as well as loose stretching. If you look at their new images of gallery wrapped canvas on their website, they have added dimples and shadows to the corners of the canvas showing the lack of tight stretching, which tells me they know and accept they have a problem. I returned a 60x48 that was impossible to use and they said since I had removed the outer cellophane, I could not return it. You didn't know how bad it was till you removed it! They used to be a good value, but no longer are. I am thru with them
I usually shop in store or order online for items that are hard to find. This was my first online order for pick up. I placed an order for canvases 36" long along with six other items. When I went to pick up my order, they gave me 16" canvases instead. When I told them this, one employee went to get the right ones. She came back saying they were sold out. I told her I ordered them last night and received an email that my order was complete. Why was I not told that size canvas was sold out last night? She just apologized. So I basically drove to the store to be refunded. Let's get our sizes right please!
I have tried several times to shop at our local Michael's since the pandemic closed A. C. Moore but it is just not inviting, organized, or welcoming. One thing for sure is that it's overpriced on everything. I couldn't find anything I needed. Took a trip to Hobby Lobby and found everything I wanted. There was stock, gorgeous seasonal display items, so much to look at and arranged so you knew right where to go. The same scrapbook stickers that were $4.99 at Michael's were $2.99 at Hobby Lobby. Everything seemed so expensive and the stock seemed spread out to look like more. Just entering the Hobby Lobby store was so inviting. I'm done with Michael's after my fourth unsuccessful trip. There will never be anything to beat A. C. Moore but Hobby Lobby is pretty close. Michael's could close today and I wouldn't care.
I ordered 3 framed bird wall decor, they were packaged so poorly I'm surprised the glass was not broken. They were in the bottom of a huge box not individually wrapped just some paper on top the were loose. Just terrible will not order again on line.
I ordered a nutcracker bunny and they delivered it by breaking the ears off to fit in the box!. The other bunny was delivered in a bag and it was damaged as well and no the ears are not suppose to come off they were glued on before they took them off.
Karleigh cashier was happy helpful very friendly great store best store around clean and stocked :)) )
I went to Michaels Store at Hammock Landing at Melbourne, Florida to return some merchandise. The cashier named Quinn was so nice and helpful, but she called a lady named Latasha that was very rude and mean for no reason. She treated me so bad, definitely she needs some manners and training of how to treat a customer, specially when I was not arguing or doing anything wrong. I just asked her a question and she was almost barking at me.
I spent 15$ on color pencils that were broken taped up and tiny The employees were not helpful deer springs Michaels is a fraud the box is also smooshed.
I had a $200 Order ship to wrong address.
I called Michaels immediately (minutes after I hit submit) to correct. No service center open on Sunday evenings.
I called first thing Monday morning to correct and the service center said they cannot stop the order and they could not correct the address.
Then I had to call everyday for 5-6 days as the whole order needs to SHIP before anyone can help me.
Final call with service center said they WILL NOT replace or refund because Michaels thinks I am a fraud.
Do not order on line with Michaels. Their e-commerce is out dated. You're better of with Amazon and others that have advanced processing systems.
I placed a simple order for about $70 of art supplies. Was supposed to be free shipping, but the order was split…some delivered and others sent to a store that is a 20 minute drive away. No oversized items were purchased. After payment was submitted, I saw the order error and also that I was charged $7.95 shipping. It was late when I placed the order, so I called as soon as customer service opened the next morning. The service agent was unhelpful and made everything sound too complicated to fix. A couple days later, I tried the text feature for customer service. "Jeremy" was also unhelpful and unwilling to even refund the shipping fee. All he would do is cancel the in store items. Never shopping in store or online at Michael's again.
I went to Michaels on 1/22 to request service, for a canvas I wanted frame. Victoria let me know that it will take 2 weeks to get the frame done, since they need to order the pieces, because they did not have them at the store but, that I needed to place the payment in order to do so. I told her that the canvas was still wet, that if I pay for it that day and leave the canvas next Saturday, will the time of the 2 weeks start on that moment (that the payment was done) she said yes. That I can even take it the day before, as long as it was between those 2 weeks. So, I place the payment and return the next Saturday to leave the canvas. She was not there. A gentleman, that I felt was totally lost, took the canvas and told me, that the frame was on the way and that the canvas was going to be ready on 2/5 as expected. I was not confident as he did not look competent, he was all over the place. I call on Monday for a update, the woman on the other side said that is was in process, that I will be receiving a call. I call on Thursday 3, to know if I could pick it up on Saturday 5, the gentleman who pick up the phone, ask me if I had left the canvas, since there were a note saying that I was going to bring it. I ask him " what do you mean, I left it on Saturday, did you guys lost my canvas? After almost 20 minutes on line waiting, he said " NO we did not lost it, it going to be ready between Monday 7 or Tuesday 8. I told him that it was promise on Saturday 5. He said " we are short staff", I left it like that, and said that I will call Monday 7 and that my canvas better be ready by then, because a client was waiting for it. He said " No problem, it will be done". I got late Monday so I went Tuesday 8. When I got there, the same gentleman that took my canvas, could not find it, he ask for help to another employee, it took both of them 45 minutes or so, to find it, and guess what; IT WAS NOT DONE! I ask for my money back, and guess what, it took another 10 minutes to do. They are quick to ask for the money, but not to do the job. They didn't even try to do it at the time. With clenched teeth the employee who help look for it said " I'm sorry" but the gentleman, who actually works in the department said nothing, just smiles. The worse experience ever. I expected more form a store that is so expensive in the first place. The the most surprising thing is that they had a sign: "Frames same day" really! I was waiting all that time and they did nothing!. Complete waste of time, a super bad experience.
I usually shop from Michael's store at Stonecrest. Evelyn C, such a nice person. She's always kind and helpful.
I was excited to take my friend to Michael's in Burlington, Washington after 2 years of avoiding going to stores. The store looked messy, dirty, even though many shelves were empty. I tried to buy an exacto knife but had to go to the cashier, wait in a long line, and then have her call someone to go unlock it. My 20% off coupon didn't apply to what I wanted to buy, of course! And the worst: even though we have a state wide mask mandate, Michael's does not require masks! I will never go there again.
I was looking for a heat gun. There was only one and purchased at full price $49.99. I got home and took it out and I noticed the cord was wrapped around the gun and there was white paint in the cord as well. I connected it and it did not turn on! Wow! Was I angry! I packed the piece of crap in the box and went to store for return and asked for manager. All manager said was sorry, we don't check returned items and we put them back in the shelf. And what about my time and my gas? Doesn't that count creep! Horrible experience! This was in Brownsville Texas location. Shopping the competition instead!
The rep is Muzzy at the Anchorage Alaska. She helped me with all my concerns. Great customer service,
I tried purchasing an Valentine's item at the store and since it did not have a price Lee along with her coworker took some time to try to find the price. When one of rhem could not find the price Lee snatched the merchandise against the counter and she told me it could not be sold even though I pointed out where the Valentine merchandise was. When Lee seemed upset with the situation she raised voice and showed anger with her gestures. I asked her for her name which she provided with aggression by pulling her name tag towards me with a lot of aggression. At that point I thought Lee was going to lunge towards me. I highly recommend an anger management class for her.
I want to thank Ms. Daisy for being very understanding with Great customer service. I feel she put the customer first. She called me concerning an order that was put in online. She helped me find options because they didn't have one of my items. I have ordered from this store before no call or anything. I get to the store to pick up my order. The guy tells me he will need to give me a refund because they don't have some of my items. I told myself I will never go back to this store again. I tried it again then met Ms. Daisy. So now I will be back again and again.
Buying a gift card here is like giving a person trash they don't want, just give cash. At least a Walmart gift card you can get something you actually need
Service was very good today. Cashier had a return on customer ahead of me so another cashier opened up to keep line moving.
Answer: Why can't you speak with a supervisor or team leader.Do they have any or are they just that busy.
Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
