Not truthful
August 16, 2023

We ordered some Levelor custom blinds with the assurance that if they were not right, we could return them. They were a disaster - didn't hang straight and the headrail was 3x noisier and stickier than our 20 year old one. We returned them, but were refused the shipping costs. Tried to speak to a manager, but she kept avoiding us. She even put a message on their system that said she had spoken to us and confirmed the refusal to refund shipping. That was a lie because she never spoke to us. We never met her. The sales people could have also told us that shipping costs were non-refundable instead of the assurance of a full refund, but they kept quiet and looked very sheepish when asked why that information wasn't given us. Never again Levelor and never again Lowe's.

I bought garage ready fridge, turned it on, put stuff in and had to leave town. I came back and nothing froze or got cold. Never worked. Lowes said I only had 48 hrs to get refund. I had to call manufacturere of frigidaire and get repair appt. I could have repaired my old one! I paid $700 for a new fridge and got a hot box!

Buyers beware
August 15, 2023

We ordered a washer and dryer. Took weeks to get it. 1ST DELIVERY DAY, Drivers said it was badly dented so they took both back. A week later, replacement arrives.they forgot the washer but brought a dryer. Whole side dented in. Went to store and returned order for 1st one settled on a different one to be able to get it next day. 3rd time is not a charm. They hooked up w&d and left. With in an hour house was reeking of gas. We spent a lot of time on phone. One manager passes me to another who never came to phone. Called again, finally with much waiting one came to phone. He says come in tomorrow see head of appliciances, Who in the meantime called husband and asked if we will consider settling for electric instead? We already settled for a cheap knock off. Now settle for electri? WTH?
All I can say is buyer beware this stuff they are selling is JUNK!

Bad service
August 9, 2023

I ordered a washer and dryer 5 days ago, they delivered it 2 days later and the dryer was damaged. They couldn't pick it up until Wednesday, today, and now I cannot get my replacement until Friday, a WEEK LATER! After they PROMISED, no later than tomorrow. Taking off work isn't easy and losing money sucks! I will never order anything from them again! I've been on the phone and on hold for a total of 3 hours in the past 3 days. Very disappointing! I sure hope they don't send me another damaged dryer! BTW, the associate was very helpful at the store and the guys that shipped them had nothing to do with this. It was all the customer service! And timely manner! Was NOT VERY TIMELY! NO RESPECT FOR MY TIME!

Animal cruelty
August 8, 2023

This is how the lowes in Trinity parkway in Stockton Ca treats the feral cats that have been fixed and given shots by the SPCA. So sad and cruel. I have called and asked to speak to management and each time a rude employee says they are unavailable or in a meeting. I have reached out to corporate who has no comment. This is unacceptable!

Recently I was in Lowes store 0629. I was looking for assistance, when a manager Amanda came by. I asked for help and she said she would call someone. She never did. I went to the appliance area and Kyle called for help. Then I saw a manager Sandy who came over and helped. Then one of the assistant store manager Erica came by on her phone. She waved and kept walking. Erica came back by and was asked for help, she said oh John will be here in 5 minutes, she was still on her phone. John helped with the questions and referred me to Rob who wrote up the order. On the day of delivery i received a call the mower could not be delivered. I cancelled the order. For John, Kyle, Rob and Sandy you get a 10, for Amanda you get a 1 and that is being generous, Erica 1.

No customer service
August 1, 2023

Bought a clothes washer. Scheduled delivery for a Sunday. Was told the window was 4-8. Heard nothing until 10:20 at night asking me if I still wanted it that day. Called the next day to find out what time my delivery was only to be told that I was not in the schedule for delivery. It would be the next day. I. Was then told I could cancel purchase if I wanted to.

Needed a water heater to be delivered to my house. Delivery shows up after time given for delivery. Since there wasn't someone home we asked a neighbor to let the delivery man in with the heater. When I arrived I noticed something funky with the bottom of the box. Either the delivery man drove the dolly straight through the heater or a forklift did. But the bottom of the heater was destroyed. We called back to inform that the unit is unusable. They tell us we will have to wait for Monday. That the heater will have to be picked up. Wait for the credit or reimbursement. Then order a 2nd one. Or come out of pocket for the 2nd one and wait for the credit when they review the first one. That's BS! So Monday comes around and the pick up was set for early morning. They showed up at 12noon. No one home again. When I called to reschedule they tell me I'm calling the wrong store. I'm given the number to the store the item came from. Which wasn't the store I chose. And this store is in another state. So I call the correct store and asked to speak to a store manager. They tell me that the store manager is too busy to take the call. That they will call me back. It's been over a week. No call back. I called corporate and they took all my info. Told be that someone will be reaching out. It's been a week. Heater is still at my house. Had to pay someone with a pickup truck to help me buy a new one from Homedepot. That one is installed and no issues. Lowe's keeps dropping the ball. Good riddance.

Untrained personel
July 31, 2023

Winchester Ky Lowes...Most employees don't know anything about the products, pathetic plant selection, mandatory self-checkout. The only good thing about the store is the lumber yard. This is the kind of experience you can expect... 7/29/23 I go to buy a full pallet of black mulch (75 bags) I asked the employees to get the fork extenders so the load would clear my trailer ramp, after finally describing what for extenders were and what they are used for I was told they were broke, really... broke? It's a set of metal sleeves. When I said forget it, I would go up front and get my money back they decided to go to the Lumber yard and get the "broken extenders" On 7/31/23 I go back and get 70 bags of black premium mulch and had the privilege of getting to educate 2 more employees on what fork extender are and why we needed them, they kept telling me they wasn't allowed to take them outside. The thought I was asking for the little stand-up fork truck with scissor extensions they use inside. After telling them the guy that used them just a few days ago got them from the lumber yard they finally went and came back with them. I had already unloaded half of the bags onto the front of the trailer so he could set the reduced pallet on the back. He proceeded to set the weight of the pallet on the tail of the trailer and drop the forks as far down as possible. Anyone that has even a little forklift experience knows better than that, the forks and the full weight of the pallet were pushing the trailer down so much I thought he was going to break the axle. I tried telling them and got the "shut up and let us do our job" look, and after a few minutes of watching truly untrained employees at work who were dumbfounded and out of options I had to explain how to raise the load off the trailer and tip the pallet forward allowing the pallet weight to hold it as they back out. (Yes, I've drove a forklift before, and I was properly trained). I have to check myself out and now it seems I would do better if they hand me the keys to the forklift so I can load myself too. If the customers are going to have to do everything including training your staff, we should at least get an employee discount.

Dont work for this company if you intend to make a living. A fulltime associate with 20 yrs customer sales exp will make about $14.50 a hour(if you're lucky). During the interview, I was told I would recieve a review and raise based on work ethic and general reliability. It never happened. No review, they gave EVERYONE a automatic 10cent raise...thats all. They also lie to customers and are excessive in their false advertisements. The picture below shows the original price as a white tag and the yellow tag replacing the original. The yellow tag is labeled as "clearance" with a fake price (thats right! They expect associates to be dishonest). The quality of service is low because the only people who can afford to work there are teenagers or partially retired. Youll need 2 sources of income if you work at lowes.

Appliance Repair
July 29, 2023

We purchased a dish washer from Lowe's. We have had it about three months and out of those three, it's been unusable for over 5-6
Weeks. Can't get help from anyone. We talked to Lowe's, their repair service, the manufacturer and today they told us it would be the 14th of next month before they could get it repaired. All our appliances came from Lowe's and they will not sell us anything else. (I promise). If you want a place with extremely poor customer service, Lowe's is the place to go. I have shopped at Lowe's since they opened several years ago, but my business will be at Home Depot.

Going to vent...Had delivery for my washer/dryer set up with Lowes. Waited all day and got a text that the driver was arriving. I looked out the door, saw the truck and ran upstairs to put my dog in her crate, and came right back down to the door. I open the door and there is a missed delivery note on my door. They didn't ring the doorbell or knock. I called the number on the notice immediately and the dispatcher said they would call the driver. No big surprise but the driver couldn't be reached. So now its been rescheduled. I am beyond furious!

There is not enough space to detail the severe problems this company has. A simple, if extensive, window install was mishandled and I wound up with defective windows that were not repaired for 23 months. This was a $6k job and even the lowes customer service reps admitted their company dropped the ball. Twice I took off days at work to wait for repair people who never showed. Glass from the initial install where former windows were broken remained in my house for months after. Then the predatory lending of the financial institution kicked in and charged full interest on the total principle even though it was paid down to half the amount. Lots of other history here but not enough space to write. At the end of the day, am offered $500 as compensation. Laughable if not so absolutely agregious. These people are theives and exemplify what is wrong with big box stores and their faceless, bottom-line-only culture. Advise strongly to not ever use or shop with this disreputable business.

This letter serves as both an urgent warning and a call for accountability for anyone considering services from Rock Shop and Lowe's and for its managers. The series of mistakes, negligence, and an egregious disregard for customer service that I have experienced from these companies is shocking and utterly disgraceful.
The torrent of failures began in November 2022, when I decided to order countertops from Rock Shop through Lowe's. The first issue surfaced immediately when Lowe's delivered incorrectly sized cabinets. This initiated a domino effect of delays that disrupted the entire process, from template creation to the eventual countertop installation.
The culmination of these delays was a poorly executed installation in July 2023, where the measurements of the countertops were grossly incorrect. Rock Shop, promising a quick solution, cancelled on the day of the second installation. When they finally returned for a third attempt, the measurements were even more inaccurate, showcasing their continuous and appalling lack of competence. Throughout this chaotic situation, Lowe's Kalamazoo and Traverse City demonstrated an egregious lack of responsibility, consistently deflecting blame onto Installation Made Easy and Rock Shop. Amidst all this, the installation company was a beacon of professionalism in a sea of chaos. In this bleak landscape, two employees from the Kalamazoo Branch, seemed willing to help, but they were hamstrung by a wall of internal policies and accomplished little.
In conclusion, my experience with Rock Shop and Lowe's has been nothing short of a nightmare. Potential customers should heed this cautionary tale; the risk of enduring such a level of frustration, stress, and blatant disregard for customer service is far too high. It is time these companies were held accountable for their actions.

If I could rate it no stars, I would
July 15, 2023

Shopped at the Lowe's store on Highway 70 in Hickory, NC and paid for delivery of a new LG washer and dryer on 7/3/2023. Was told that they had inventory (1000+ of the washer alone!) but could not deliver until 7/15/2023, which was acceptable since our existing appliances were still in working order. But after removing out working washer and dryer out of our home on 7/14 to prepare for the next day (7/15) scheduled afternoon delivery, some arrogant female representing Lowe's called our house AFTER 6 p.m. on 7/14/2023 to inform us that they were OUT OF STOCK on the items and would not have more until mid-August or mid-September (she couldn't decide which month!). This is completely UNACCEPTABLE and until this situation is rectified with the washer and dryer that I have paid for is installed in my home, I will be reviewing negatively as far and as wide as the internet will take me. And I will make as many phone calls as I need to make and that includes to Marvin Ellison's office. If it doesn't get me anywhere, so be it. But if that happens, it will be the LAST TIME that I spend my money at Lowe's.

I went to Lows to look at a washer/dryer, and there was a guy with a Lowes uniform saying they have a program where the price of appliances would be very little - just had to attend a meeting. Turns out they signed me up for a solar panel estimate!

I keep getting calls (5 today) trying to schedule a meeting to talk to me about solar and I keep telling them I didn't talk to anyone about solar and I don't want solar. Later, I got an email about an installation appointment from Lowes, called them to ask what it was about. Yup, solar panels. I said cancel I'm not interested. She said hold on and then got a solar sales guy on the phone. I told them to F**k off I don't want solar. I'm sure they'll be hassling me again.

Makes me not want to do business with them if this is how they treat their customers.
