I live in the southeast corner of Alabama, I have the good luck of having several Lowe's stores within close driving distance. I seldom have any real issue with service or products that I purchase from them.
If I purchase power tools I feel safe knowing if they do not work I can take them back for an exchange.
I also love the 10% military discount.
I seldom remember when I was UNABLE to find what I needed, if so, I was always able to find a sales clerk that was able to offer a substitute.
The only (tiny) complaint I can think of would be during Holidays and busy times, I think it would be nice to have more sales help. The poor customer sometimes has to wait quite a long time for a clerk to get free to help you.
Strange comment: They also have some of the nicest bathrooms I have ever been in, they are clean, well stocked and you do not gag when you walk in them (us women can probably relate to this comment more than men)
I wanted to shop in the garden area and needed a rolling cart -- was going to buy fertilizer, plants, hoses, etc. I asked an employee who was SITTING on the check out counter where the carts are. His response was to point outside to the parking lot and tell me to go find one out there! Good reason Lowe's is so far behind Home Depot.
Lowes employees are always helping me find exactly what I need. Good quality company.

Lowes has average products, decent variety, but God help you if you have a question. They are WAY understaffed, and you literally have to walk around the store to find someone.
Even if you do find someone you have to follow them and the others needing help around the store while the guy/gal helps those in "walking" line before you.
They should get a few phone operators who man phones they put throughout the store so you can just pick up a phone and ask "Where can I find X"? Within a short time.
Ordered items for remodeling bathroom; Very easy to purchase and go thru site for products. Sometimes pictures in optional views don't match actual product. It's very similar to Home Depot. Easy returns to store; shipping same easy to track online. Prices sometimes less than Home depot. Sometimes carries brands Home Depot doesn't carry or has more variations options available than Home Depot.
I just wish they knew more about what they are selling.
What negative thing can you possibly say about shopping here? I've shopped here in person and on-line. With a tremendous amount to select from, a knowledgeable staff and a military discount you can't beat Lowe's. I've also had some gardening items delivered like 15 bags of mulch, 5 bags of 50 lb top soil. Delivery was a breeze and so convenient without having to labor in the hot Florida sun and mess in your trunk. Outstanding...!
I ordered a shelving system, but when it came, it was not what I had envisioned, so I returned it to the store for a full refund.
Very good buyers. Gave us a test run at multiple locations. Can't wait to see how we sell with them.
I wish there was one closer. My brother has one in his city and I go everytime I am visiting with him.
I purchased a electrical water heater that is not working and I had so many problems associated with it. But the manager and the whole customer services stuff were so helpful and They allowed me to exchange another one. But you need to get EV number? From Whirlpool before exchanging one. They are more than 5 stars in my opinion.
Can not go in store without buying extras. I go in for one or two things and always come out with extras. I can always find great deals on Something. Great store!:-):-):-):-)
I truly am thankful for the discount, but in the same breath their prices are over priced, they do not have enough employees available.
I have been looking for such an item in my shower to keep all loose items in one place and I found it. Should of purchased one years ago. Much more organized now in the shower.
Lowes Store #1573 mill Creek Washington
So I tried to bring a lawnmower in for a repair under manufactures warranty. The Lowes policy is to take it in and send for repairs, with proof of purchase. The return staff was woefully uninformed/trained as to store policy. They simply sent me away with zero information or help. I called Lowes corporate and they informed the store manager (John) of the situation and I was told to return to store and talk directly with him. Upon returning he was "unavailable" and the front end Manager began to help me. She was obstinate and as ignorant to policy as the return clerk. She was argumentative and allowed me to get heated and walk away. Meanwhile the store manager was no where to be found. Again, I called corporate and after a long pause they confirmed that John was aware of policy and would take the mower for repair. The front end manager never returned, I never saw John, and no one ever apologized for their mistake regarding policy. The original return clerk who took the mower in for repair, was still woefully uniformed/educated regarding the policy, even after all of this. If I were to have acted this way to a customer in my business...
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them

Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
