Installation Nightmare
December 14, 2017

As I pulled up Lowe's Installation Service I had to laugh at the tagline, "Installation Done Right." I would say WRONG! I have tried for months on end to get my bathroom correct. They did finally correct the shower, I ended up hiring the toilet out to be redone. (I kid you not I found pennies under the toilet where they tried to balance it after they moved the ring so it did not seal.) The huge issue is the Jacuzzi tub only worked for one month. There were so many issues they never addressed the tub (I even agreed to let so many things go, like the sink and tub different colors.) When I went to sell the house I was unable to hire someone to fix the tub as the contractor did not leave an assess panel to get to the motor and the wiring did not pass code! I guess that is how they get more work, as not it needs to be retiled to get to the motor. Really! Lowe's advise was to call Jacuzzi. How is that Jacuzzi's issue to have the tub installed without an assess. I have tried to get help from the store: Jack Robinson, Brandon Bell, Brett Sadler, and Brain Buell. My latest attempt is with Dawn Crittenden who keeps telling me to contact Jacuzzi. How is it Jacuzzi's fault that the tub was wired incorrectly and the contractor did not leave an assess panel. Lowes keeps telling me to go back to Mike Possey who is the contractor, I did not hire Mike, but Lowe's.

But all of them keep passing the blame. Does Lowe's know how to stand behind their work? The answer I will continue to share is NO. The Lowe's I worked with is in New Hudson, MI

I wasted 5 hours today in my rental property to wait for delivery from Lowes. I called again and again and was told that they were there 5 minutes before the time frame. I was there 4 minutes before the timeframe. This is the second time they delivered. Last Saturday they tried to deliver 1.5 hours before the 2 hours timeframe. And they never called me! Why they couldn't wait there for 5 more minutes! Now they want to reschedule to tomorrow afternoon when I am absolutely not available. I want them to deliver early in the morning and they said afternoon is best for them! My tenant is going to move in and I don't have any time available now.

Just opened the chainsaw I had delivered. There were THREE EMPTY BAG in the box. The saw is completely useless. I ordered online so I would not have to go into the store. Well, now I have to.

Lowes should be ashamed of themselves for now making Veterans jump through hoops to get a 10% discount now! Instead of just showing your military or veterans identification card Lowes is forcing all eligible to bring your ID or dd214 and sign up for another card of there own! Yes thats right! Making 80+ yr old war heroes and all others of the armed forces enter information to get one of theyre lowes customer cards in order to get the discount that they simply just had to show theyre id cards before! Why dont they just do away with it if thats what they really want?. Shame on lowes for this action! This veteran just did his last shopping at lowes forever! I plan on posting this stupid military enroll form at all the vfw halls and American legions as well that i go to. Also spreading the word. Veterans Dont Be Used by Lowes marketing schemes! Home Depot is for Veterans! Not Lowes! They are and will always accept your own identity cards and not force a veteran to get a home depot card! Shame on Lowes!

Bad service
November 11, 2017

I ordered two 72x48 double pain windows from the Lady Lake Fl. Store. When I picked the windows up they were wrapped in plastic with a cardboard wrap at top and bottom. The flanges on both windows were bent and broken off. The windows should have been box up better but the way they were handled in shipping and receiving was inexcusable. I will never order anything from Lowes again or would I recommend them to anyone.

Lowes vs Home Depot
November 6, 2017

Lowes is within walking distance from my home but I chose to drive to Home Depot instead. The Lowe's associates have been less than helpful on several ocassions I have shopped here. My last interaction will be the last time I visit this Lowe's and am seriously considering not shopping at any other Lowe's. Service was nonexistent- the associate was rude, demeaning, and condescending offering no help at all. Eventually he just walked away. I can usually let things go but this was over the top. Stick with Home Depot where they are far more courteous and helpful!

Ordered french doors for our sunroom and was disappointed that I couldn't have the full glass because we needed a dog door installed. The gentleman in the store was nice and showed us the dog doors available and helped us pick out the right size. (This required my daughter texting me pictures and me talking to the gentleman via phone because I am handicapped) When the french doors showed up, there was no dog door to be installed and the man who originally helped us was no longer there. Now I have no dog door and I can't even see out into my backyard from my chair. They insist that we need to pay for the dog door and having it installed even though we went to all of the trouble and time of coordinating it and selecting what we wanted. We were having Lowes put in a 6 ft vinyl fence in the back yard, but we told them to forget it. We want someone dependable. I can now see why there are so many reviews about good sales people but poor management teams at Lowes. They lost a $7500 fence budget over the principle of a $130 dog door. Very Poor customer service and planning.

BEWARE!
October 31, 2017

Please beware of this lousy company... i ordered 2 windows and a sliding glass door a month and a half ago... no one called me so i called them got the run around and i did sign a contract for the work, so i called 3x to customer service i got a call from some idiot telling me the installer did not want to do the installation because my structure on my house was not good... REALLY? I began to tell the idiot NO ONE has been to my house, he said Ma'am i am not gonna go back and forth with you so i hung up on him. The General manger calls me and says i hear you have a question... ummmmmmm no... i have a complaint... i tell him the story he says i was under the impression some one was at your house, no sir, NO ONE was at my house... there is no damage to the structure on my house... i have a few friends come over because i needed to know... NO there is no damage... Lowes already put 4 windows in my house without any problems... The general Manager( Daryl) said he will make some calls and get back to me... I won't hold my breath... Therefore i have called Home Depot to come out Monday in the morning which i will be for work! BEWARE!

Horrible Delivery
October 28, 2017

I would give them zero stars if possible. I ordered a small refrigerator. When the delivery people arrived, the main guy was angry that it was going to the basement. After much delaying, he finally said he wouldnt deliver it to the basement unless I removed the banisters from the stairs. What? I measured everything, and that was a ridiculous request. I called the store with the delivery people still here but he refused to talk to the store manager. He left the refrigerator in my entryway.

Lowes did nothing to resolve the situation. My husband and I put the fridge in the basement without any reason to remove the banisters.

I have talked to the Lowes store and corporate. All they did was say they would talk to the guy. Worst customer service ever! I will never step foot into Lowes again. In fact, I returned several other items I had purchased there and bought them at menards and Home Depot... places that value their customers.

Husky chainsaw
October 23, 2017

Never buy a new husky chainsaw. I got the 440 x torque, 90% cheap bridle plastic. Never wants to start, floods, will leave u stranded out of a road with fallen trees. Save yourself the time and money and just go get an old Stihl.

We waited 5 weeks for a dryer to be ordered and delivered. I had to chase the salesman to have him look to see if the dryer was in the stire. It had been in for 2 days before I contacted him. A delivery day was set and on the date I got a call 90 minutes before they were supposed to installing the dryer that thye could not "find" the dryer in inventory. The assistant Store Manager keeop referring to it as an "inventory problem" I am pretty sure it is a Lowes problem. The refund they issed for the washer and dryer will take 7-10 days to hit my account even though the original payment was talen the same day. If you read this I hope you tell 10 friends and they tell 10 friends. I have found a new source for these appliances.

After the hurricane I needed to replace my fence. I ordered fence boards and other items from Lowes via the internet. The items were scheduled for delivery. A few days later, on the day of delivery, I get a phone call stating the order was going to be cancelled because of lack of the boards. When I purchased and Lowes took my money, they were showing available online.

After several days and hours of phone calls with Lowes customer care, I thought the issue was resolved. They were to deliver the items on a specific day and ensured me they were available.

The items were once again cancelled and this time I wanted my money back. After several phone calls, and speaking with supervisors, Lowes ultimately decided that I never paid them and picked up my merchandise in Orlando.

Lowes suggested I deal with my bank in regards to this issue.

Lowes took advantage of me and my situation after the hurricane. Their employees play the I dont know role while corporate backs them up.

I have contacted the Better Business Burea and several other sites. I am considering small claims court because of the false allegations and 700 bucks Im out.

Very Very Disappointed
September 23, 2017

I Surprised my Wife with a Beautiful Matching Set of Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer and Dryer, They are both removed and set out on carport to sell to best offer. The dryer works fine but the washer is scheduled to be repaired for the second time in about 3 weeks, warranty work! I paid close to $2000 for them in 2016! One of the most costly mistakes I ve ever made! The trouble I've had with the washer should have been maybe 10 to 15 years later, You would never ever dream having a $900 dollar washing machine having to be worked on for the second time in less than 2 years! Now I've read several reviews alike and the washers or still being sold to Customers! I am Very Disappointed in Whirlpool and also Lowes, Can't You Trust Anybody or Anything Anymore? Earl

I had a screen door special made, when it finally arrive after about 4 week it came in and was not the right size. They should have return this door and get the one that I paid to have someone come out and measure my door for but no they put this one up cutting the door out to make it fit left the frame of the door left with the wood showing and leaving the door no longer matching the paint job I just had done. I would not recommend any one for have work done bu these people

I bought a washing machine that I really liked after using it for four months. The washing machine is called Hotpoint. I had several washing machines that were expensive and hotspoint was the first I bought that was cheap at Lumber lane, Winston salem branch. I felt like it was the best washing machine I had compared to the expensive ones. So after four months, water began to leak from the washing machine. I purchased a distribution and lowes warranty which would last for three years. I called them and they told me once working on my washing machine that I needed a new water pump. I told them that the washing machine was brand new. The contractor said that he will order the replacement pump to come to my address. I called the warranty number to have the replacement pump cancelled and see if I could get another hotspoint washing machine instead of a replacement water pump. They said that my warranty only covers parts and not a complete replacement plan. I know that my warranty cost me more than 100 dollars. They did say that the only way under my warranty plan that I could get another washing machine is that if I had the same issue four times in a 12 month calendar. But each time, the problem needs to be 30 days apart. Does this makes sense?

I'm a General Contractor and property manager. I've bought a lot of appliances from Lowes over the years and their customer service has tanked. Lowes delivered a dishwasher to one of my properties and left it sitting in the tenant's kitchen floor and did not install nor give she or I any info on whom to contact. I had paid for installation but it never happened. I went back to the Lowes where I purchased it and they gave me an 877 number to schedule the installation. My first call an automated recording told me they could not assist me at this time to call back and it hung up on me. I called again, at the time of writing this, I was on hold for over an hour and still nothing resolved. Passed from one customer service rep to another. I'll not buy again from Lowes.

Don't let lowes fit it
August 31, 2017

Purchased a kitchen from lowes, it was going to take 8-12 week's to complete it took nearly a year? Nothing but problems. They have no idea about construction, time keeping, customer service. Once they have your money it's good luck. I gave a 1 rating because I couldn't give less

Lowe's had the best price on the dishwasher I wanted, but was not so sure about delivery and setup. I am glad I decided to take a chance because I was pleasantly delighted. Kevin and Johnny of Pro Installers were incredible (definitely a "7" the highest number I could give them). They were on time, fast, clean and helpful in getting the dishwasher installed and ready to use. I will most likely check w/Lowe's when I'm ready for my next appliance.
