I am never going to buy anything at Lowes. I purchased a LG oven that broke 2 times in less than 6 months. After three days the oven does not work. I called Lowes to ask for a refund and all they can do is give me 10% off a new stove. In the past 5 years I have purchased several appliances from Lowes, refrigerator, stoves, dishwasher and a washing machine. They should rethink buying Korean made products because they do not work. I cannot never shop at Lowes again or buy anything made in a Korean country.

I wish I could give Lowes 0 stars. If you need to buy something that actually exists on their shelves, like a wrench, then Lowes is fine. But if you actually need to purchase a big ticket item, and Lowes does not have it in stock, RUN AWAY. We have purchased 3 items from Lowes that required delivery, and we've had problems with all 3.

I admit, after the first problem, we should have avoided Lowes, but we assumed it was a one time anomaly. A few months later we ordered 2 items on the same order off their website for delivery. We watched the progress on their website, and one item updated the status with a delivery date and time. We made sure someone was available to receive it, but the item never arrived. However, the website updated the status to "Delivered". Confused we called the number and were told that that item is actually discontinued and they had no idea why it is available to buy on the website (No explanation for why the website updated the status to "Delivered"). They offered to sell us their display model (No explanation why it is on display in the store if it is discontinued). After negotiating a discount, we purchased the display model. We have been waiting for nearly a month for the second item on the order to arrive, after having been told it will arrive in 7-10 days, and getting occasional updates that it is ready for delivery, only to be told it is not actually ready for delivery and will be another week. If we knew it would take over a month, and the advertised delivery times were a bait and switch, we never would have ordered it, but I don't want to start all over with a different store if it is actually on it's way. It took 3 terrible experiences, but I finally learned my lesson. Avoid Lowes like the plague.

The product consisted of two garment hooks, that you'd hang in the bathroom or a closet. BOTH were defective, as could be seen by simply looking at them closely and seeing that the little screws to hold the hooks in place didn't screw in properly. The fact that both hooks had the same issue says something about Lowe's QA. But OK, these things happen.
Here's where it gets astoundingly bad. I look up my order online to see how to return it. It's not apparent so I call Lowe's. Even though I bought the product online, they INSIST that the only way to return their defective product is to go to one of their stores! Even though I bought them online! Lowe's said that's because the product was "special order." No, I bought the hooks off their web site, what appeared to be normal products with normal product numbers. Tried talking to a manager, no luck.
Hey, Lowe's: I bought these hooks online because your stores are not convenient for me. I'm having to return them not because I changed my mind but because THEY'RE DEFECTIVE.
I've been buying stuff online for 15+ years. Sometimes you have the OPTION of return products to the vendor's brick and mortar store, but the vendor insisting that's the only way to return something you bought online? Nope! Clearly Lowe's doesn't understand the basics of e-commerce or customer service. I won't be back!

There are several lumber companies in the Clarksburg, West Virginia area. LOWES makes shopping a breeze. If I need electrical, hobby, construction, or plumbing supplies. Employees are always willing to assist me. Thank you!

Inadequate staffing
March 17, 2018

Since I live rurally and have to drive a bit to get to the store in Brenham, I called to make an appointment in flooring. I was ready to buy with all my measurements and I told Brandon that when I called. Brandon, self described flooring manager, set an appointment with me for Sat. Morning. I left work and drove to the store, on time, only to find out he wasn't in and wouldn't be in the store for hours. There is rarely anyone who can help you at this store with anything other than which isle something is on. I will look elsewhere for the flooring for my house.

Find what I need
March 8, 2018

Have had no problem locating whatever I need. Prices are fair and products well described. I use site often to compare with other specialty stores and usually end up purchasing from Lowes.

Extremely Pleased!
March 6, 2018

I ordered a Frigidaire dehumidifer on line as it was not available in the store. It arrived in 2 days to my house. Free shipping and they matched Walmart's price. When I first looked at Lowes price it was $269.00 and Walmart was $224.45. So I was pleased with the price match. I was shocked with the fast shipping.

I have tried to replace broken Kobalt mechanics tools twice now. Both attempts were a huge hassle. Lowes advertises a lifetime no hassle warranty. This is false advertising and i am contacting a lawyer. Today they told me Lowes has cancelled the Kobalt lifetime warranty on mechanics tools. Thier web site staes it and the packaging on thier tools states this as well. The people that work there claim you have to have a reciept now and it is only a 90 warranty.

Ordered a refrigerator. Received a receipt via email showing that I paid for the 5 year service plan, and that it would be delivered from 8 AM to noon, and a call the day before with a 2-hour window. No one called, it was not delivered within the 4-hour window shown on the receipt, and someone removed the service plan and I was not informed. When I escalated the fraudulent removal of the service plan to the head of customer service, and forwarded my receipt to her (showing that I had purchased the service plan), she understood and said she would resolve it right away. She put me on hold, and when she came back she said the solution is for me to go to a store and buy a service plan (that I had already purchased, according to my receipt). She told me this in a very matter of fact manner, not expressing any concern for my experience whatsoever. I spoke to 8-10 people and all but one (the Hickory NC store assistant manager) not only did nothing to help, they didn't have even a basic understanding of how things were supposed to work, didn't seem concerned about my experience at all, and most just handed me off to another department without explaining anything to the next person.

The following is my humble opinion and I believe the following: Lowes is NOT standing behind my carpet seams(plural) problems. Denying and trying to say seam is within standards. I WILL NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR BUY LOWES HOME IMPROVEMENT AGAIN. Filed complaint with Better business bureau in North Carolina whom seams to protect lowes cause they closed my complaint as resolved when its NOT. Filed complaint with my local consumer affairs, lowes corporate office *******989 and *******084 ext ******* was useless and refuses to help. What a disgusting experience with Lowes and I wish I had LOOKED AT LOWES REVIEWS GOOGLED IT TO SEE SO MANY NEGATIVES. Does this seam look within standards to you? Smh they sent Gemini Flooring
Carpet and Flooring 120 Freeman Ln, Manorville, NY ******* to view seam which owner had no tools and used his car key to run along seam to take out excess glue and fibers so he claimed which left a bigger seam opening and noticeable and told me Lowes stand behinds carpet when they are NOT in my case. He also said they need to open it up and re-trim it. So how can they say it needs to be re-trim then claim its within standards? Hmmm. I will be leaving NEGATIVE REVIEWS ALL OVER INTERNET

What customer service?!
January 21, 2018

Actually turned around to shop Lowe's today (we were on our way to Home Depot, another 15 minutes away when we remembered the newer store in the neighbourhood): what a mistake! Not only did they not have the item we were after in stock they sell 5 or 6 different sizes but had only a couple available but the only available staff in the department was tied up with a customer. I took a picture of the item in question, including the stock # / description before heading off to find assistance. I searched through every aisle, then nearer to the checkout area before I could find a red apron. I found someone who was not a hardware guy who told me we'd go find someone from the department. Encouraged, I followed him back through the hardware section and down to the end of an aisle, where another customer stopped to ask him a question. To my shock and dismay, he dropped our search and headed off with this new individual to help him with his quest!

*This* is how Lowe's treats its customers?! We have only shopped Lowe's a handful of times and have had no problems there in the past but I definitely won't be back any time soon. Will also ensure that my contractor is not spending my $$ there for any current or future renovation projects.

LOWES STORE 2879 RIO RANCH NM
I've made two payments now on a washer and dryer set I have not received, with a bunch of lies as to why not, including, "It is in the store and will be delivered tomorrow" "It is in our warehouse in Wyoming and will be delivered Wednesday" "the truck cancelled" "One of the components is in another state" I paid extra to rush a complete remodel of the laundry room because I was told the set would be delivered within three days. I have received 6 phone calls stating delivery dates, moved furniture 6 times anticipating delivery, no one showed up or called to say they were not coming after all. This was supposed to be my forever washer and dryer set! This is the first NEW set I have ever purchased and probably the last, because I am 67. It was supposed to be my Christmas present! I was so excited to get this LG set and now I'm sick over it! This is the worst experience ever with what is supposed to be a reputable national chain! Where is my washer and dryer set Lowes?

Bought washer, dryer & refrigerator Friday after Thanksgiving. All was promised to deliver by December 15. Told store salesman that dryer door had to be switched to open from right to left, said no problem! Washer & dryer was ready for delivery on 15th, said refrigerator would be after Christmas(not 15th as promised). When they brought dryer door had not been switched, delivery guys attempted to switch door & broke it. They called supervisor & informed him that door had been broken, I refused dryer & they took it back to store. I called the next morning about when it would be fixed & delivered, no one there knew anything about it (NO Communication what so ever). They brought a different new dryer in box the next day, guess what, door still had not been switched, delivery guys would not attempt to switch door, so I called in to talk to supervisor, he acted like he had no idea about door (again NO communication what so ever!) so finally on the third attempt after several phone calls, we finally got dryer delivered right.
The refrigerator was another story. We were promised on the 15th, now we were told it would be after the first of the year. We had already gotten rid of old frig & had house full of company coming for Christmas & no refrigerator. Only sympathy I got from supervisor, was to cancel order if I didn't like it!
I started looking & found the exact same brand new refrigerator at the Marshall, Tx store (25 miles from Longview store). I went over there & purchased it.( they delivered it from Marshall to me by 10:00 am the next morning! Clerk in Marshall said Longview could have just have done a transfer & had it to me in one day's time, BUT they never even offered that alternative to me!
They just don't care about satisfying customers from Longview store. I had to spend several hours time, extra trip & gasoline to Marshall, extra trip to Longview store to get credit on the original refrig.
I will make the 40 minute extra drive to Marshall next time to do business with store that cares about their customers.

We ordered a new double oven electric range on December 8th from Lowe's online. When we ordered it, the website stated that it would arrive on or before December 22nd. That would be today and it didn't arrive... We needed the new stove for Christmas. If they weren't going to have it here by Christmas I would have looked somewhere else or just done something else. When I called them it was like, "well it's not here". "We can't always get them in on time because of weather... " But there hasn't been any real weather issues since it was ordered. I would not recommend using Lowe's if you need the item to arrive on time.

Appliances scheduled for delivery 12/7/17 then night before they cancel and reschedule for 12/15/17. Morning of delivery they call and reschedule for a evening delivery 4:30 to 6:30. It is now 7pm and no one call tell us why they did not deliver the appliance as scheduled. Customer service was no help. Truck driver does not answer his phone is the reason they give and cannot locate GPS or truck either.
If you want your appliances I do not recommend Lowe's

I put in all of the necessary information, and did it correctly, to use Lowe's online system to get a Veteran discount. Well, it doesn't work at all. I contacted customer service and they are horrible. Mostly just Bots and the humans aren't much better. They require a trip to Lowe's, which is hours away in northern MI weather to register in person. Ridiculous. This company doesn't deserve my business and will not get it. I recommend you stay away too. They have atrocious customer support.
