We bought a refrigerator from Lowes this past winter. We opened a credit card in order to make payments, rather than paying the entire amount up front. The service as we made the purchase was fine, and getting set up with the credit card was easy. The real disappointment came months later when I called to dispute a late charge. My husband paid the bill (or thought he did), but the amount was still not taken from our bank account two days later. He logged back into his account and realized that the payment had not gone through, so he immediately paid it; however, he noticed that there was a late fee. Upon calling Lowe's to get refunded the late charge, as we had tried to pay but there was evidently a system glitch, we were told that we would not be refunded the charge. Prior to being told we wouldn't be refunded, the customer service rep continued to ask us if we'd clicked 'authorize' and other obvious payment steps that we'd had no issues in completing for the past 6 months as we had paid our bills... on time I may add. We explained that either our charge would need to be refunded or they'd be losing a loyal customer, in which case the rep replied, "Okay, that's fine. Have a great day." So essentially, we were told that our business and us, as customers were clearly not valued and they were fine with us shopping elsewhere. I have NEVER had such poor customer service when dealing with a charge like the one described. Because of this poor customer service, we will no longer be ordering our other appliances or flooring that we'd planned to order from Lowes.

Lowes poor service
June 12, 2018

I purchased a free standing linen closet on line, two weeks later they call to say the closet is in and to please pick it up in Indiana - mind you we live in Dartmouth Massachusetts. A few weeks later they call to say its arrived at the Dartmouth store. We rented a truck to go pick it on on a Saturday afternoon and after being sent back and forth from the customer service desk to the on line pickup desk, they found the item in the store. They now say we need a credit card to complete the purchase, sfter swiping several times they claim the card is no good. After many arguments we decided to come back the next day with a different credit card. Again after several swipes they claim this credit card is also not good. We were in this line for close to 90 minutes. It was embarrassing, especially after several times the clerk announced to all persons in this line that our credit cards were no good. They cards were not going through because after multiple attempts swiping the bank rightfully thought that fraud was going on. The clerk and customer service manager blamed their lack of training with the new online ordering system for the problem and somehow this was our fault. This was embarrassing, and they time spent was ridiculous and I will never buy anything ever at Lowes again. I asked Bryan the service manager who can help us, he replied no one... and explained it was poor training. This happened on Sunday June 3rd at 8:15am.

I will never order from Lowe's again. I am currently redoing my bathroom and thought it would be most efficient and cost effective if I ordered the majority of what I needed from Lowe's. I created my order online and when I went to pay immediately had a problem. None of the products I chose were showing as available from my closest store. So I called and spoke with a friendly customer service agent who facilitated my order. Presto. Seemed easy so far. Little did I know that was going to be the only easy part. When it came time for delivery which was now 3 days ago, my order had been divided among two stores nowhere near my house. Neither was delivered on the day of delivery despite the fact that I got two text messages and emails noting two different delivery times for each store. In both cases, the orders were not complete. I was never told they weren't coming. The bigger question remains why did they schedule delivery if they knew they didn't have everything? Did I mention that I gave them a 10 day lead time to get this together? It wasn't like I was asking them to do this overnight. After countless hours of calls to Lowe's customer service (sporadic help), their delivery service and 3 local stores now, I still don't have my products. We are scheduled for today, but I have no confidence that it will show. What burns me most is that I want a discount and Lowe's customer service is trying to make this the store problem. As far as I'm concerned this a Lowe's problem. My order was initiated online and paid for over the phone. I have never had so much trouble nor spent so much time doing someone else's job to get what I paid for delivered. Thanks for nothing, Lowe's. What a disaster. I won't even go back in buy dirt from you. You've left a horrible impression of your company.

My husband and I bought a high end Samsung French-door refrigerator. We also bought a 5 year extended warranty. In 4 years weve had 4 repair trips for the ice maker, 1 for the doors that wont shut. Then the bottom ice maker, top ice maker, and entire Freon system gives out. Weve been told it will take up to 5 days to order parts and then more time to schedule another repair appointment. Of course its a holiday weekend which means longer! I call the warranty people, of course I get nowhere talking to the first representative, so I ask for Plan Administrator. I read to her FROM the warranty manual! No Lemon guarantee it says! If you have 3 covered service repairs completed on 3 separate occasions and your product requires a 4th repair, we will issue you a payment. She tells me that it only applies if it is the SAME ISSUE ALL 3 TIMES! I tell her that I have read the manual and NOWHERE does it say any such thing! I tell her I am reading it straight from the booklet, how much clearer can that be? To make a long story short, it was a waste of time! Not only am I never buying a Samsung appliance again, but I will never buy another appliance at Lowes! Their word means absolutely NOTHING!

Don't trust them
May 19, 2018

On April 28, less than 10 days before leaving on vacation, our Samsung washer decides to call it quits. About to rush off to Lowes, I decided to check the manual/ warranty and saw my wifes annotation that it was purchased on April 12,2013 and the extended warranty we bought with it expired at the end of April 2018. I then called Lowes Customer Service, got a Kevin, who graciously extended our warranty an extra 30 days to May 12 as the warranty did expire on April 13 of 2018. Kevin emailed me verification of this and the next day he emailed a form to fill out for laundromat reimbursement, which we didnt even know the extended protection plan included. We called the authorized Samsung repair facility and made an appointment for them to come April 29. Instead, they offered to inspect and identify needed parts that same day, the 28th. While there, the repairman called Lowes and verified the warranty was extended to May 12,2018. He called in the necessary parts for repair and we waited a couple of days, not hearing from anyone. I called the repair facility and they explained they were waiting on Lowes to give the go ahead. I called Lowes and got a different rep who denied that our warranty was extended, even though he saw the documentation, explaining that the only way the extended protection plan could be extended beyond exactly four years was if the original delivery date was delayed until the end of April 2013, which it was not. I finally demanded to speak to a supervisor, allegedly named David, and got the same spiel. He offered us a thirty dollar gift card to make up for the laundromat, and refused anything else. Told him to stuff the gift card as we will not be returning to Lowes, went to Home depot and bought a GE washer. Granted, the warranty probably did expire on the 13th, but why string us along and lie to us? Done with Lowes.

Warranty/Products
May 15, 2018

I recently had an issue with a Roper washing machine. It was outside the time frame for the manufacturer warranty. However it was covered by the lowes protection plan I had purchased when i bought the washer. I called the number for lowes protection plan. 5 minutes worth of time verifying the product etc... After that easy process I was giving a series of times and dates for a repair person to come. They showed up and repaired the washer no issues after that. I was waiting for issues with this matter but experienced Zero problems. After this transaction I needed a mower and a fridge. And of course I bought the extended protection plan. Thank you lowes. Go to check out, only option is the self check out. Swipe everything, go to pay three times and reader won't read the chip. Clown "working" check out goes to his booth with a finger stuck. No doubt they don't need the business, or Junior would be picking up beer cans on Fairmont.

I bought a 5 year extended warranty on a Samsung refrigerator and recently tried to use it. The refrigerator doors do not close and I am unable to keep anything in my refrigerator until this is repaired. Lowes was able to make an appointment over a week away and said if I wanted something sooner I would have to call Lakes Electronics in FL, the company they use for their warranty service. This company is by far the most difficult company to get on the phone. I called for Alicia (? Licia) several times, but she was either 'out of the office, at lunch, on break, or again out of the office'. I was persistent but called 6 times in one day trying to reach someone. Finally I got through and they rescheduled the appointment for 5/9/18. Well, today is 5/9/18 and no one showed up, so I called again, trying 4 more times to reach someone. Finally after a lot of frustration I was told that they were not coming today (after being transferred around several times). I could have called a local appliance repair person, had the problem solved, and eliminated this frustration. I will NEVER purchase an extended warranty from Lowe's because they pass it along to someone who does not know anything about customer service. I will also shop at Home Depot in the future for appliances. My dealings with them in the past have always been favorable. Will have to travel a little further but it will be worth it.

This is my 2nd worst experience with Lowe's, i ordered Electric Dryer from Lowes.com site and selected Apex, NC area store to deliver the product. I place an order on 4/18/2018 and site stated the delivery date 4/22/2018 between 8 am to 8 pm window ( you kidding right 12 hours?) waited on 22nd till 5 pm and call Lowe's Customer service, they told that the item i order is out of stock at local store and they are sourcing from other location so it will be deliver on 4/29/2018, i ask them that why i was not inform nor send email regarding this as i have to ensure someone is there to receive delivery. Customer rep told me that Store manager will reach out as they should contact, next day i got call from local store manager and he told me that item was not in stock, i ask them that shouldn't you store inform me so my family member have to wait 10+ hours as courtesy, he convey me that he will deliver by 4/29/2018 and will ensure that someone will call day before, again no call no information on delivery. I called today ( 5/2/2018) again and was told that they haven't received item yet and they will deliver by Friday 5/4. I do not have good faith. Not sure what era Lowe's live in, at least i live in internet/email era and should at least expect email about status on my order. This is why Lowe's Amazon and Costco are winning pls learn from them how Customer service called else face wipeout in near future.

I would have to write a book to give all the details of the nightmare we are having with Lowes. The short story is we bought a dryer that was delivered in just over a week. That is the only good news. The dryer was defective. Since it was delivered on April 5, we have been promised a replacement. Today was the FIFTH time we were told the replacement would be delivered but once again no dryer. I suppose we will be expected to sit home another day and wait for a delivery that NEVER comes. To say we are beyond frustrated is an understatement. We get no satisfaction at the store. Most of the time we have to explain all over again what happened. Lowes continues to blame the delivery company like they have no recourse with them. How about hiring a delivery company that actually delivers? The problems we have encountered go far beyond delivery problems anyway. DON'T BUY APPLIANCES AT LOWES!

Bought a Honda mower from them. Transmission went after the regular warranty. Repairman claimed it had been stored in in a snow bank. Untrue. Wouldn't honor warranty. Don't bother with extended warranty at Lowe's it's a waste of money.

100% Incompetent
April 28, 2018

They were supposed to deliver the dishwasher we purchased yesterday between 9 and noon. No one ever showed. No one called. My husband had to email them to get any response and they simply said they never got the item and that they will deliver it on May 6th, which is a Sunday. We seriously doubt they actually will deliver that Sunday, especially now that I have seen about a thousand one star ratings for them throughout various review sites. The thing that pisses me off most is their utter disregard for us, the customer. We never used them before to buy our appliances, we used Home Depot. They actually do call you when they are delivering, and keep you informed, and are a thousand times better than Lowes. I didn't love Home Depot at all before, which is why we went with Lowes this time, (Home Depot had rescheduled our fridge delivery last month 2 or 3 days before they were supposed to originally deliver) but at least they called to make sure we were informed and not waiting around with an 11 month old and my thumb up my butt way after the delivery window, despite the fact I had hired a babysitter that day so that I could go out and work, and I still paid her, because she was scheduled to work, and it wasn't her fault Lowes sucks donkey d#%^@, and I don't leave people in a lurch like this company did to us. I am going to try to cancel my order. From what I read, they won't even care. UPDATE: So they rescheduled two more times, finally delivering now that my child is over a year old. The guys literally dumped the box in my kitchen and walked away after taking a picture. They didn't install it or even take off the box. Just left it in my kitchen. I seriously couldn't hate this company more. I had told my husband to cancel the order, but he forgot all about it since it took so long, and suddenly we received a text last night when we were in bed saying it would be delivered today. Of course, the timing worked out that it was during my son's nap time, though that is not their fault. Still, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! I will be going elsewhere for our washer and dryer and new stove and microwave. I have never hated a company more.

I went to the Lowes Webster, NY store on 4/16/2018 to finalize my decision on which refrigerator to purchase. On Tuesday 4/17/2018, I made my decision and called the same store and placed an order for a Whirlpool WRT518SZFM. I received an email on 4/18/2018 confirming my purchase.

On Monday 4/23/2018 I received a voice mail concerning the delivery. In a return call I made I was told my new refrigerator would be delivered on Thursday 4/26/2018. I arranged to take the day off from work. I received a phone call Wednesday evening 4/25/2018 telling me the delivery window for my new refrigerator would be a 4 hour window centered around 3:00 pm Thursday 4/26/2018.

At 2:34PM Thursday 4/26/2018 I received a call from someone identifying them selves as a Lowes delivery truck person, telling me that my new refrigerator would be delivered within 30 minutes. I removed all food from my working though VERY loud refrigerator so that it could be set aside, and the new one put in its place.

As one, two, three hours went by with NO further contact, I contacted Lowes. I was surprisingly told that my old refrigerator was to be picked up today, Thursday 4/26/2018, and my new refrigerator delivered on 4/29/2018.

I was shocked that no one from Lowes would do ANYTHING to retain my business, other then say were sorry.

I can go to Rochester, NY small claims court, file a small claims lawsuit for a $10 fee, for 1) cost of my loosing a day of work, 2) loss food due to your telling me the delivery was 30 minutes away. Lowes options would be 1) send an employee to argue against my claim, perhaps paying that person $10 an hour for the 20 minute drive there, the 20 minute wait until my case is heard, the 20 minute argument, and the 20 minute return drive. So, perhaps $20 for that persons time. Then theres the chance Id win my case. Or 2) you could ignore the small claims suit, and I would win by default.

And still, NO ONE from Lowes company will do anything more then say were sorry.

Flooring Dept
April 19, 2018

Very poor customer service so far. We had rooms measured Tuesday morning. Waited 2 days and hadn't heard anything so thought I'd stop by about the estimate. Plumbing dept. was covering flooring and told me up front after I waited 10mins to actually talk with someone, that they couldn't help me. Ok, so waited another day and called on the phone to ask, again a lady said she couldn't help she was from the plumbing dept. transfered me to someone else and put on hold for 10 mins so far going to hang up now. Hmm where else can I buy flooring.

No REFUNDS!
April 10, 2018

I purchased two pip fittings and they were the wrong size, boy am i sorry for the mistake. I paid cash and because i do not have the receipt they will NOT give me my money back. I am a single female and was trying to fix something myself and bought the wrong thing. I was told that when a customer pays cash they ask for your phone number, well let me tell you, no one from Lowes has ever asked for my phone number. So let say that this is how Lowes keeps in business, by selling you something they wont even take back. I guess their sign should say "ALL SALES FINAL"

DO NOT BUY CARPET TO BE INSTALLED AT LOWES, they are horrible.
Bought carpet December 2, by April 2 still not finish install, kept telling me new carpet was defective, ordered 3 times, 3 times defective. Meanwhile my house is a wreck. Home office will do NOTHING TO HELP. AND after making a claim with American Express dispute was settled in my favor. LOWES want to come on SUNDAY to pick up the part which was installed. And arrived later than quoted.
I have never delt with such horrible installer's office help, Kellers (their subcontrators) are the pits. I learned one thing from this fiasco. Always look for feedback before buying. And I will never shop at Lowes again.

Generator Install
March 28, 2018

Do not purchase a generator or install from Lowes. They state they will do something and then don't follow through. Employees don't return calls. No communication. After almost 2 months we requested a refund and were told they'd done $3000 worth of install which they hadn't. I would never deal with them again and will be shopping at Home Depot from now on.
