Nightmare
October 30, 2019

Lowe's called 5pm Thursday informing me the delivery scheduled between 11am to 3pm next day (Friday). But the delivery guys knocked the door at 7:30am at my beach front vacation condo, the renters were all in the bed. The renters told them that they could not come in, they forced in anyway even they told my renters that they were not supposed to be there that time. They damaged my brand-new $5k cabinets when they installed the stacked washer/dryer. They never provided the delivery documents supposed to be signed off by the buyer. So upset!

Lowes: It's okay
October 30, 2019

I have come to accept the big box store known as Lowe's.

For a long time I resisted it... but now I have caved.

Their products were useful for a recent redo... I heavily relied upon their lumber, paint, hardware and even some landscaping items.

I am there so often these days... that I know a lot of the employees either by name or face... and became such a frequent and invested customer that for two years in a row I was invited to (and attended) the contractors' cook out held in their parking lot.

I imagine that each locale varies... and each buying experience does as well.

Their products are certainly not in any sort of exclusive range... but they are about as solid as you can get in terms of basic Americana these days.

Four stars

Lowes (via 3rd party delivery company XPO) failed to delivery when promised, missing two scheduled delivery dates without notifying us and then showing up with the delivery unannouced.
Refrigerator door damaged at delivery (gasket would not seal, french doors rub, and palm sized dent on right door).
Has now been over a month now trying to get a replacement. Lowes agrees a replacement is needed, but requires we deal directly with XPO (a third party shipper hired by Lowes). Neither Lowes or XPO will return calls and often hangs up on us or disconnects while transferring the call. This is a very frustrating experience and is still not resolved.

Horrible experience
October 26, 2019

Ordered a stove nice stove in fact toke a little over a month to actually get i had to make ton of phone calls regarding it. But the biggest issue I had was when the actual delivery guys came to deliver it! They were rude and had no manners when they called that they were on there way it sounded like they were having there own conversation in the back and so i hung up because nobody was answering & when they actually showed up to my house they were rude and not friendly people at all and when they said i hung up then they made a comment in Spanish ( jokes on them because i know Spanish) saying oh she doesn't know anything like um ok rude people. Delivery was just the worst experience ever

Have you ever paid for a protection plan and then had to wait 6 weeks to have them repair it!?
That's what we faced. The new appliances are made so they fail after a year so you have to buy new appliances oftener. Yes making the manufacture pockets fat! They also in turn have made parts very hard to get hoping you don't wait the time out and buy another one mean while. Yes scammers! If you buy from them your just helping that cycle go on!
Buy commercial! Do not buy Lowe's or Home Depot appliances period!

We waited almost 6 weeks till the parts were available to repair our refrigerator. More than $1200 later we had a fridge that did the same thing again! Freeze up and not cool right. Thankfully Lowe's did give me a loaner after begging them enough. ( that was through my good in store contacts! Not Lowe's appliance protection. They would not budge on giving me a loaner.!)
Our refrigerator has been repaired 5 times now and still not working properly or replaced. At the end we still don't have a good refrigerator. What else can I say

In a time where customer service is quickly becoming extinct everywhere, it's nice to know some places know the importance of the act. Lowe's at Davie is one of those businesses. Thank you Ytalo for your help. Because of you Lowe's is my new place to go for my home improvement and hardware needs. Customer service is what gets me all the time. Also your Manager is top notch. Your employees are great too, because the few times I've been to your store, I not only got great advice but great service as well. My only regret is that it took me so long to do this well deserved review.

I can't say enough about Trevor & Richard that delivered my refrigerator. They delivered it, and had it ready to go within 30 minutes without any problems. They answered all my questions too. Five Star delivery. Bravo to Joe and Bob the salesman for all your help.

I agree and could add a chapter on them taking my money in AUGUST for a whirlpool refrigerator. Was to be delivered on SEPTEMBER 11... tick tick... still waiting! Corporate has no concern, really in solving this matter. I'm getting the runaround still! 3 days taken off of work for promises of a delivery! Will be contacting an attorney as well!

How do you people stay in business!? I renewed an order with promises of expediting. Into two weeks and get a call pushed back another week? I took a whole day off from work to get this done and now it's lost. I lost money to give YOU money! These third party vendor and delivery services to make an extra buck in the name of the company is ridiculous! I'm not in the best of health these days to pick up large purchases like I use to and use this "service" as what was thought a convenience. I'm done buying from you people in this manner after this is all said and done ( If it gets done at all!) So what will you do now Lowes rep? Replay with a canned "Oh sorry yada, yada please message us with your info to help!" nonsense!? To the CEO of Lowes do us a favor and resign and let someone else run it or just close your company and let another do it.

My wife and I decided to buy a washing machine from Lowe's in San Francisco despite the problems I had in the past with their delivery service.

The sales person told me the appliance was in stock and we arranged to have it delivered. The night before delivery, I received a phone call from delivery stating they couldn't find the washing machine and they would contact the salesperson the next day and he would contact me.

When I didn't hear anything by noon I began calling. An hour after I started calling and kept being thrown off their telephone tree (the worst I've ever been on) I finally got a person in delivery. She informed me that the salesman should have known the appliance wasn't in stock and I would be contacted when it arrived.

Guess what? I'm still waiting.

Poor Customer Service
September 27, 2019

After several years of being a Lowe's customer, and spending thousands on remodeling, my wife started making the payments on my card, since she was responsible for most of the charges. After 2 late payments(not missed, just late), these bastards cancelled my account. I. m still waiting to see what this does to my credit score. Why the hell didn't they just tack on a late charge and be done with it? Lowe's you have a very piss poor way of treating customers! Home Depot here I come!

Extortion by Lowes
September 22, 2019

Lowes is a scam. I purchased a door "measurement service". Lowes would not only not give me the what I paid for (the measurements) but told me if I did not purchase an $1,000 door, I would not receive the door measurement. Below is the paperwork that I was provided during the purchase which does not say that the estimate is Lowes property.

I paid $35.00 to only be told that what I paid for belongs to Lowes.

This is an extortion effort by Lowes. DO NOT GO TO LOWES IN ALEXANDRIA VA (RICHMOND HIGHWAY LOCATION).

This site doe not allow me to give zero Stars - I had to include one.

Liars liars liars
September 19, 2019

Their equipment will damage your property and they wont cover it.
Manager at waxahachie claimed that they would "take care of it" when a pole that was supposed to be secured fell and hit my truck. As a veteran who served in Iraq twice and a first responder, i am appalled that i would be treated this way and lied to. Do not trust them, they lie and will not pay for claims when their equipment damages your property. He now tells me that he "cant do anything about it".

They keep adding extra charges and when asked for a copy of the measurements they took and that i paid them for measuring they refused to give me a copy.
They dropped from a 4 to a 0 in my ratings. This is only for the flooring section

For new construction have your CONTRACTOR BUY AND INSTALL APPLIANCES. Even if it costs more. My wife and I bought 5 appliances from Lowes. Stove was damaged but replaced, but washer was installed incorrectly, drain hose was left on the floor outside the drain pan behind washer. This destroyed our ceiling and water was pouring out of our ceiling fan the first day we moved in to a dream home that took 9 months to build while our families were visiting. I honestly wasn't that stressed because our builder is ready and anxious to fix and has been for a week, my wife is pregnant and due any day which I explained to Lowes on e-mail MANY times. They admitted fault but did not file the claim for over a week, gave us the wrong number of who to contact, and have not returned any of my calls and I beg them on email to call me. I have never spoken with them, I am doing this in hopes they call me. This is a Nashville TN store. I really want this done before the baby comes, and I don't want to bring our first baby home to a hotel or friends house because of painting. I also don't want people working and taping off our whole house during those first 2 weeks with the baby. I may add pics later, but this feels like just the beginning. My builder could have fixed this by now and their insurance company is more concerned than they are and had to tell us the claim was not filed when my wife called (Luckily she wrote down the company's name on a call). I have dealt with 3 different people at Lowes and they are just trying to wear us down and do as little as possible. Just avoid major purchases and have professionals install anything you buy. Thank You

Poor serivce
September 2, 2019

This weekend I went to lowes with the hope of buying a new lawn mower. The mower that I wanted was not out so I tried get an employee to see if there was one in back. Walked the whole store a few times no employees. Bought a few other things and decided maybe it's best to just buy online even though I was incredible frustrated that there was no help at the store, even poor service that the register. No greeting or anything. We came up with a dolly full of stuff man at register on the phone we had very large heavy items and he wanted us to hand him everything although he had q portable scanner and he missed scanning things so I had to remind him to scan some things.
Even after that I decided to go online and find a lawnmower and some outside furniture. The site was a mess... I'd add things to my cart and then all of a sudden they weren't in stock but yet still on the site. Finally made my 800.00 order (order ******* invoice *******) and got a call the next day saying one of the items were not in. I called back said I wanted to cancel the order and the lady on the phone said I had to come to the store in Willoughby to (a store that was an hour away) explained my situation and had to convince her to cancel.
That was the last straw... poor service all around, poor site. Just a very frustrating experience.

Bad Customer Service
August 24, 2019

Went to Lowe's Mesquite to return 2 items and the clerk by the name Anna C made assumptions of her own, such as "why did you rip off the sticker"? Well, I did that because it has my name on it.

I used two different credit cards and I wanted the credit to go to the right credit card, no more no less. She did not care if everything was ok or what was wrong with my purchase.

She BARK out loud that I have a bad attitude.
That CLERK should not patronize any customers, but that what she did with me.
I don't know if she got HER PILL before she come to work today or not.

Bottom line is, she should not patronize any customers with her BAD attitude is really bad for Lowe's keeping her at the customer desk.
That is one of many reasons why I drive to HOME DEPOT more that I can go to Lowe's.
I don't need to argue with any low level clerk, even if that clerk works p/t there@ Lowe's or not.
To that clerk, stay home and get your "PILL" before you go on to work, otherwise don't show up if you did not get your "FIX". LOL, LOL

My washing machine delivery/install was outsourced to XPO. 2 guys showed up, one did not speak English and I could only understand 1 out of 30 words the other guy said. The drain hose was too short so the lead guy tried to connect the extension from the original washer which was much wider. I expressed concern about leaks and asked them to test. Sure enough, water floods my floor. And so they left without completing the install. After the left the fill hoses, which they had hooked up, started leaking. Tried to call Lowe's 3x but no one would pick up so I had to drive there. Told that installers aren't supposed to extend hoses. And that normally the install company will not come out a second time even if there's an issue (really?), but I could speak to a manager about it. So I did- bought longer drain hose and scheduled new appointment. XPO sent the same people to my chagrin. After unscrewing the fill hoses and getting water all over the place was told the leaks were from the valves which was interesting because I didn't have valve leaks before the install to my knowledge. Then the guy went to hook up drain hose. Is a hose which accommodates 3 port sizes but the guy didn't get that and I had to coach him through cutting off the widest part at the end to expose the smaller part that fit snugly over the port. The hose was longer than needed and the guy shoved most of excess hose into standpipe. I asked about curved plastic piece to hold hose because saw in manual supposed to use it and he told me you only use it when mounting to a wall. He also had no intention of securing the hose to the pipe. I couldn't find the cable tie so gave him a rubber band for lack of a better solution. Later, during a wash cycle, the hose flew out of the standpipe. Had to call a plumber to fix this and the leaks. I would have been better off installing the thing myself. I sent an email to Lowes and XPO about what happened and asked for reimbursement of plumber bills. Was told by Lowes rep someone would call me and no one did. Someone from XPO did, however, and sent me Amex gift cards to cover the cost of the plumber bills. Will never buy an appliance from Lowes again.

Update: No one from Lowes ever called me, however someone from XPO did.

I purchased a entry door in Oct and added screen doors in June. I want to match up the colors, but Lowe's couldn't advise to me what door or color I purchased? How can I match this up without taking part of the door to the store? I was told because they closed the store I purchased at, they can't help me? Really? Very poor service. No wonder they are closing stores, is very apparent to me.
