Horrible service - will never order from Lowes again. The last order was a year ago and it had to be cancelled because they never delivered the appliance and had no idea where it was. That was after six weeks of waiting. The most recent order arrived damaged and the delivery crew damaged my walls. Lowes told me I had to deal with the delivery company for the damag. Sorry, I didn't hire the delivery company, or have a choice in who delivered the appliance. Complete incompetence and lack or accepting any responsibility - never again.
Have purchased recently the blinds for my home and had great help from the associate and pricing was good deal for sure. I shop here for my home renovation projects.
We bought a washer and dryer set during a black Friday sale and were told the items would be delivered in 10-14 days. After 2 weeks, we received confirmation that our items had arrived and would be delivered in 2 days. The following day, we were told our dryer was out of stock and they had no clue when it would be in stock again. We were told to select another dryer, and we selected a downgraded model from what we had already purchased. We were then asked to pay $70 difference because the current price of the cheaper model was more than what we originally paid. I explained that we had saved more than 30% by purchasing our washer and dryer on Black Friday and that we expected to maintain those same savings. After speaking to multiple different employees and managers via customer service and a local store, we were told that the original 30% savings could not be matched because it was no longer Black Friday and because the dryer was a different model. The best they stated they could do was match the price we had already paid for the more expensive model. We purposely waited for Black Friday to make these purchases and saved a lot of money by doing so. This was taken away from us by being forced to wait for a model that would never show up and then taking away the sale discount we had earned. We are appalled at being forced to pay the same price for a cheaper model dryer that does not have as many features as the original model. It is not right to take away savings that we had originally received and would have continued to receive if Lowes had just delivered the product that was guaranteed to us. We will never again return to Lowes and will continue to tell friends and family about the horrendous service we received.
Went to the store to buy a new electric stove. We knew exactly what we wanted but the person in appliances did not know anything about the stoves. Made the purchase and then asked when the delivery would be made. Appliance lady said I would have to check with customer service up front.
Customer Service said I needed to ask in appliances so I went back to again. The clerk saw me but was on the phone taking a long phone order and completly ignored me. After 15 minutes I went back to Customer Service who again told me to go back to applicances. I asked to see a manager.
She paged the manager and we waited about 10 minutes. I asked again and she paged another manager and we waited again for 15 minutes.
Manager showed up but said the delivery company would call me the day before the delivery.
Waited 5 days for the delivery to come. During delivery, they noticed the stove was bent and the drawer was broken so they had to take it back to the store.
I called the store a find out when we could get a replacement and they hung up on me.
I called again and asked for appliances but no one answered the phone and they hung up.
I called again and they swiched me to appliances, again no answer and they hung up.
I called again and Customer Service answered the phone and put me on hold for a long time, then they hung up.
I drove to the store and was told that they don't know the inventory levels and the I probably would have to order a stove, wait for it to arrive and then schedule a delivery.
I asked for a refund and the Asst. Manager told me they could not do that since the stove was still on the truck and would have to wait a day or two until they receive it back.
I went to Best Buy and in 15 minutes was out the door with a new stove on order to be delivered in two days.
Next stop is back to Lowes for a refund and probably more disappointment.
As home owner has used lowes for several projects I hope I have finally learned my lesson. We used them for flooring in house multiple times. At one point it took over 4 months to finish one room. Well about a month ago our deep freeze went out about a week before were to get locally raised hog delivered. In a moment of we need something now, and it looked like a good price we ordered a freezer with lowes. BIG MISTAKE. Three weeks later we get a call at 7 pm on a tuesday night telling us the freezer will be delivered in the morning. Well that works out well since being employed we both work on Wednesday. Here my friends is where the fun starts, I call the lowes game of phone pong. This seems to be their fav. We call lowes to reschedule, where were told we need to call the trucking company, we call the trucking company who acts like why are you calling me you need to call lowes. After getting ahold of lowes we go well if we cant get it delivered we will just cancel. All of sudden hold, and magically she says its rescheduled saturday. OK good friday night rolls along, no phone call, hmmmm? We call lowes back. We have no record of a delivery for saturday! Needless to say we are storing the meat at our inlaws house in thier deep freeze and we will be purchasing one somewhere else. LIke someone else said they use fly by night trucking companies to deliver anything, good luck getting what you paid for. Buy from a local store if you still have one, I learned my lesson no discounted price is worth being treated like this. Stay away. Not hateful. I simply expect that if im told something by a company it will be done. Silly me.
The phrase punish them until morale improves. That is management at many stores. I have worked multiple stores. The company used to say customer service is what matters, but they cut staff over and over putting more work on less people. Then when the store is in disarray they expect miracles or people to band together triumphantly. You throw things in a pile it just gets bigger until you have the people to take care of it. I had seen more often than not bad people rewarded for being friends with the wrong people. I have seen management write people up to avoid themselves getting a write up. You know pass the blame. They are not a good company to work for unless it is extremely short term. Such as you working until you find something better.
Was purchasing Flooring. These people lie, offer rebates they can't give, and over charge you. They do not combine quotes to give you discounts for large orders nor offer VA discount.
The sales person threatened me after I filled out the survey on him and retaliated against me. He screwed with me all the time and have me surprise delivery time that I could not get to.
I called mgr. And cancelled my order and all the store mgr. Said was Ok. He didn't care to ask why on my $13,000 purchase.
I went to Home Depot. I gave them same sq ft as Lowes. They came up with 65 boxes of flooring when Lowes charged me 99 boxes. They offered me 10% VA discount too. I saved over $5,000 at Home Depot.

We ordered a washer and dryer set in-store at Lowes #2780 to replace our old, failed set. The delivery was set for a week out. The first time it was late, and we couldnt be home at the later hour scheduled. Then, after nearly four weeks of trying to get it delivered again, we finally gave up and got our money back. We ordered the same set from Best Buy and it came three days later. We will never buy anything from Lowes again, we just cant trust the sales and delivery staff.
During the Thanksgiving Black Friday's Sale, I order on the Lowe's Website a General Electric, 4 Elements 5-cu ft Freestanding Black Electric Range on Sale for $389. When I placed the order I paid an extra $20.00 for them to haul my old stove back. On my order confirmation, it stated a Delivery Date of Saturday, December 7,2019, between 8:00 am and 08:00 pm. Since I placed the order on November 23,2019, I thought a two-week delivery was fine. On Friday, December 6,2019, I received an email for Lowes saying that "Your Delivery Is Scheduled for December 7, between 8:00 am and 08:00 pm"
So early on Saturday, December 7th I unplugged my old Stove and got it ready for pickup by 8:00 am. I waited until 5:00 pm and when I called to confirm that we were going to receive the new stove on that day, the operator asks me where did I Place my order, I told her online and she immediately transfer the call to her Manager ("Erik") he told me he was the manager of the Lowes store near me and that the truck was still delivering, I asked to confirmed if my order was on the truck and he asked me for my information and told me that it was not.
I then asked why? He told me that the online website does not confirm that they have the item when they send me the email and that he did not have that model in stock. I asked when will I get my stove and he told me when General Electric sends us more inventory and that could take up three months, he suggested for me to cancel the order and go to the store to get something they had in stock.
I canceled the order and went to Lowe's and bought the only stove that fit my needs and I had to pay more than 100 dollars more for a stove with fewer features than the one I wanted.
Please think twice before you use the Lowe's Website, they don't have a clue of what they have in their inventory, How to treat customers, or how the delivery process should work.
I pledge I will never use the Lowe's website ever again!
So I bought 4 appliances from lowes when they delivered them they only has some of my order and when they brought my fridge they put it in the living room and said they didn't have time to put it in the kitchen and that they would be back in 3 days to finish the job. On top of all that when they brought my fridge in they put 2 galges In my new hardwood floor I had just spent 3,000 dollars on.
I go to the Citrus Heights store and each time, I can NEVER find anyone to help. Where do they hide? When I do find someone, it seems that they don't know anything; where I can find a product or if they even have it. It's very disconcerting.
Their prices are lower than Home Depot but, that's probably because they don't train their employees or hire enough of them.
I'm not going back. I'll stick with Home Depot where their sales people are more knowledgeable and nicer.
We purchased carpet and told them we had a pool table the employees said this was not a problem. The person measuring did not say this was a problem so we think no problem. The installers arrive a month later and say they cant move the pool table and Lowes say it is a liability issue. Now no carpet installation. I will never buy from them again.
My husband went into the paint section and waited a long time and when he asked the man there a question the worker responds I don't know, you should know. Really poor excuse of customer service. If my husband knew he wouldn't be asking. This person didn't need to respond like this. It was in Visalia can. About 8:30 in the morning today on Sunday, December 1,2019. I would appreciate it if you would correct your workers not to be so rude be more understanding and respect everyone and not be stereotyping a person because of the way they look.
I have twice ordered items online for store pickup and both times the experience was terrible. The first time I ordered a rug and when I arrived at the store no one knew where it was. I did finally receive it after about an hour of chaos and confusion. The second time I ordered an over the stove microwave. When I got the email that my "item is ready for pickup" I scheduled the installation with a handy man. When I got to the store they could not locate it and then told me they didn't even have the item in stock. I will not shop Lowe's anymore - online or in store.
And that is the definition of insanity; which is exactly how my husband and I are feeling right now. It all began last week when we moved into our new apartment. We purchased paint from Lowe's in Pico Rivera, CA for our living room. We did not have enough with just one can so we went back for another. We took with us the lid of the paint can which had the paint name, code, and the actual paint on it. The gentleman we flagged down was busy speaking to a female coworker and it was obvious the conversation was not work related. He told us to give him 5 mins and he would have it prepared. My husband and I continued with our shopping, returned to pick up our paint and headed home. We finished painting that night and made touch ups on the walls we had finished before. The next morning was a nightmare; our walls were all patchy! He had given us a semi-gloss finish opposed to the flat that the original paint was! All that work, all that time, gone. My husband and I took days off of work to get our home situated and turned out we got nothing done. My husband returned to Lowe's explained to the manager that we needed two cans refunded due to the touch ups we had made and now have to redo it all and He said "well didn't you check the paint before using it?" The gloss finish is not noticeable until it dries and we provided multiple ways for the employee to give us the right paint! How was the manager trying to blame us? Where is the accountability? We ended up getting a new can this time we took the correct paint can in its entirety not just the lid to alleviate any mistakes, but that did not help. We painted one wall and realized it was the wrong color it did not match the other gray we had once dried. I cried so much due to frustration, I feel defeated. Again, time, money, vacation days taken from work all lost! How is it possible that they keep getting the paint wrong when they have it right in front of them to match it or actually use the code on the lid? It's insane! I can no longer take days off from work and what was suppose to be a weekend project has now consumed us for an entire week. We have yet to complete our living room. We cannot move in our belongings since none of the painting is complete. I seriously do not understand! This is the worst painting experience of my life. My husband and I are owed money, time, and labor for the multiple trips, the multiple times we had to paint and still aren't done, and the multiple days off we had to take. Someone needs to be held accountable.
Bracket for meat drawer broke (18 months after purchase); had purchased 3 year warranty for fridge. Warranty will pay for service call but not part ($80). Will never purchase anything from Lowe's again.
About a year and a half years ago I had my kitchen and bath remolded, by Lowe's. When they started they were great but. They had some one coming out daily checking on the progress, it just their contractors were lousy. One could not tighten my bathroom faucet i knew how to do it but this is what I was paying them to do. So on the third time of coming out they sent another guy who knew what he was doing, they also hook up my bathtub pipes were i was only getting Luke warm water. Had to call them back out for that, one of my soft close kitchen cabinet doors are crooked. Now today one of my glass shower door fell off and a piece that was glued to the bottom.My problem I had one year warranty on Labor. I know that some contractors do good work for some people but what happens when you are not that person. At first everything was fine, but now I am having issues.So i would have to think long and hard before I let Lowe's do another remoldel
Had a refrigerator delivered last year that arrived dented. Had to take a second day off to receive the undented fridge. Then today they were supposed to deliver my new stove and they outsource the deliveries to JB Hunt who are apparently illiterate because they did not follow the delivery instructions and now we get to spend another day at home tomorrow awaiting the delivery. Very disappointed. Next time I will go a different route.
Lowe's sells Allen and Roth products. They are such poor quality and do not honor their warranty. The flooring manager advised us to buy this product said it was great product with good warranty. Except they don't honor warranty. I have now found multiple reviews stating Allen and Roth will not honor their warranty and neither does Lowe's. I am not positive but I believe Lowe's owns Allen and Roth. There is over 50 places where chunks or the top layer of laminate just peeled off! None even in high traffic areas!
Delivered at the end of the window, stuck all appliances in my garage and said they would be back next day. LIE LIE LIE. Wilbur who delivers in Tampa lied and falsified my paperwork. Beware of Lowes delivery. 3rd party speak no English lies... left us waiting for 4 hours one day and never showed up the next... Wilbur falsified my paperwork. Miguel and Alicia hung up on us 4 times. BEWARE! Shop at Home Depot you'll be much better off!

Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
