We have been without a freezer for 4 months and refrigeration for 3 weeks. The appliance is 15 months old with a five year warranty. Lowes customer service is without a doubt the absolute worst. We have had 3 tech out to repair this piece of junk and they have made the situation only worst.
We will never purchase another item from Lowes. I recommend you should not purchase an appliance from Lowes.

Don't buy the Lowe's Protection Plan!

On October 28,2020 my husband and I purchased a washer and dryer set from Lowe's for our family of 11. We also purchased the extended warranty through Lowe's Protection Plan. On March 24,2022 the washer was serviced and found unrepairable. The service technician not only told me not to buy another GE appliance but also told me that we would receive a call from Lowe's Protection Plan to know how to proceed.
-After a couple of days and no call, I finally called them only to find out that we would receive a gift card in 4-6 weeks. My husband then called to request a check versus a gift card as we did not pay with a gift card. Lowe's Protection Plan reassured us that it would be check and that it would not take longer than a week to receive the check.
-That week passed and a another call to the store and Lowe's Protection Plan service line got us nowhere.
-After 2 weeks and no check, I finally went into the Keizer, Oregon Lowe's where we purchased the washer set and spoke with a managing team, Chris and John. Chris reassured me that he would take care of it and would hear from him the next day.
-I didn't receive a full response from Chris until 6 days later via text, at which time he apologized stating that the check was already processed and we would receive it no later than 9 days later.
-Well, here we are, 9 days later and no check.
It's going on 6 weeks and our family of 11 has spent almost as much as the cost of the washer! An average of $10-$20 a day at the laundromat for 42 days!
My advice would be to NOT purchase a warranty! I'd strongly suggest not purchasing any major appliance through Lowe's. If a huge nationwide company like Lowe's can't "Do it right for less" then maybe they should change their motto instead of making the American consumer, in this day and age, fork out all of their hard earned money!

Avoid Lowes

I paid to have carpet installed in one of my bedrooms. The installer showed up three hours late with a dented truck, empty beer cans in the back and was at my house until after 8pm. It was disturbing to say the least. To add to the insanity, he left the soiled carpet so I had to pay someone in town to haul it off. I would not recommend Lowes to anyone.

We went to the Richmond Indiana store to look at a few zero turn mowers before we made our decision on what to buy. After doing online research I found the one I wanted and but it was no available in the store. Which is no big deal. Just wanted to look at a few models of the same brand to get an idea of what was available. No one to be found in lawn and garden for 10 minutes. So we go look at a few other items and come back. No one around. Wait another 10 minutes. Finally find the stoner kid at the flooring desk and ask for help because we were interested in buying a mower. Puts his cell phone down and gets his radio and says customers need help. Go wait next to the mowers again. A half hour later I say f$#k it and we leave. Head to Tractor Supply down the road and have a guy out there in 2 minutes. Knows the details about numerous models. I tell him what I want and got a new mower in 20 minutes. Never again Lowe's. Lost a customer of years. And you lost a $4000 sale.

Exceptional service
April 30, 2022

This Spring the Disabled American Veterans in Rapid City were in need of a new matching refrigerator, range and microwave. The sales associate Michael Quandt knew just what we needed, based on the needs we supplied him. Mike helped us place the order and kept us well informed about the out of his control delays in the delivery process. Not to mention he also got us the best discounted prices available at that time. The whole experience was truly "Top Shelf" and we will certainly buy from our Rapid City store again in the future. Thanks!

I purchased backsplash from Lowes. They sent someone to measure. Once Lowes had the quote I made a trip to the store on Congress Ave., West Palm beach, FL. They had the wrong product # in computer. I signed the contract which had the installers picking up the product and delivering to our home, however, prior to install I got a call from the installation company asking that I get Lowes to deliver the product 48 hrs. Before install, which I did. They delivered a partial order and them I got a call from Lowes requesting I pick up the remainder when it arrived, which I did. The contract included a $ 240.00 charge for the installers delivery fee. I made three additional trips to Lowes trying to get a refund for the delivery that did not occur. After a fourth trip to Lowes the manager ( Pierre) said I would have to pay $ 79.00 for their delivery. I explained I should not have to pay since they only delivered a partial order and I had to pick up the remainder, however, he refused and deducted the $ 79.00 from my refund. To make matters worse the install was scheduled for a Thursday, but got a call saying something had happened and it was being rescheduled to Friday, however, on Friday after waiting I got a call saying the installer was on another job and they would have to reschedule on Saturday and said they were sorry for the inconvenience and would ask Lowes to give us a discount, ( which never happened). This was a personal job, however, I own a Company that has a business account with Lowes. I do not plan to do business with Lowes personal or business in the future. I hope they enjoy the $ 79.00 they ripped me for. I am sure it will cost them much more. I cannot in good conscience recommend Lowes.

I used to go to lowes a lot - a whole lot - then they stopped using my military id and said i needed to present them with my dd214 - that document is not something that comes out of the house --- period... not only that but the people at that time were exceptionally rude -- point is my house was near complete at the time and i appreciated that i rec a discount for 80% of the build -- the rudeness stopped me cold -- there are many other places to get the same products and " now" at better prices --- I was downtown and stopped at walmart ( another co that is becoming questionable) to pick up some meds -- well i had actually stopped at lowes several weeks ago as a convenience and was told my military id was acceptable proof and rec an imediate discount ----- i thought ok this was nice - a discount and pleasent staff ----- fast forward to today, stopped in ---- issue 1) needed paint, nope didn't have the color i needed - for some farm implements -- bought a 2nd color because paint quality was more important - 2) staff spilled a can of old water - yup got me - nope did not care and helped clean up mess 3) got to check out and now my id nore my drivers lic (which both indicate mil status) were acceptable, had to go to customer service -- customer service made sure that all around us were aware i needed to go on your site and - and did so as if i was trying to scam them --- i did look at your site and it will be a cold day in hell before i will give you the info you ask for --- it is very very clear your discount has become a publicity stunt --- i will buy from other stores in the area - stores that have the product i need --- stores that have customer service and stores that do not pretend to back the vets ( and trust me many many do) even those that don't (home dep) will get my buz 1st --

Avoid this retailer

Damaged products, incompetent staff and an uncaring management are the hallmarks of shopping at Loews. The only way I finally heard back about the broken door they delivered and were supposed to replace was when I disputed the payment with my credit card. From 4/7/22 through 4/22/22 I called and spoke with an assistant manager, a manager who both assured me that they would call back but no calls were returned. I am not sure all Loews are like this but Store #1614 is unprofessional, dishonest and uncaring.

Kitchen from hell
April 23, 2022

I went to Lowes for a kitchen renovation. What a mistake. There have been so many problems. The design was bad, wrong cabinets ordered, appliances don't fit, wrong appliances ordered, appliance installation paid for but not done, appliances can't go where the design said to put them. They removed the old kitchen on January 12,2022, and today, April 23, IT IS STILL NOT DONE. Over $30K spent. So disappointing.

Bright, warm, sunny day today, people are expected to go to the garden center at the big box stores. Lowe's was no exception. When I arrived, about 17-20 people in line, almost every one of them had a large cart filled with items. I would guess, the average checkout time for each person would be 3 minutes which means there would be about an hour wait if you were at the end of the line. TYPICAL LOWE'S, they had one cashier in the garden department and plenty of Lowe's employees wandering around not really doing anything noticeably important (don't know what they are expected to do, just an observation). Wouldn't it be nice if the big box stores would stop worrying about packing the CEO's pockets and would actually give a damn about the customer? Needless to say, I didn't stay to enjoy an hour in line. I DID however, go to Home Depot and got the items I wanted and was there for only 15 minutes since they had TWO cashiers efficiently working the line. This Lowe's is notorious for closing the self check out lines and having one cashier available for checkout. Maybe Walmart owns Lowe's now? (same customer service).

Hot water heater went out on Thursday morning. Picked out new one at lowes that promised installation same day if ordered before 12 that day. Didn't hear from them on Thursday… went back on Friday at to re order
This morning and still haven't received a call. It is 4:03 pm so I guess no hot water this weekend.
I was told we were in the computer to schedule. No phone calls at all

The washer and dryer are perfect however we were supposed to have For installation. They were not able to hook up the washing machine because the hook up was corroded AKA not brand new and they weren't able to hook up the dryer because 1st they only asked if we had a 3 or 4 prong outlet we had a 3 the same as the dryer but it was a completely different outlet they never asked what type of outlet we had. Secondly we didn't get the new event for it because they said we can use our old one however that also was a different size So I ended up making 2 extra trips to Lowe's to get the other things we needed and how to change the outlet myself. It would have been nice if they had asked more

I will never set foot in another Lowes. My wife purchased a deck for me when I retired from the Air Force. The deck was made by Trex, she made that choice because of the low maintenance. The deck looked great at first, until we start noticing the boards started warping and falling off. We contacted Trex to see if they would honor the warranty. We sent pictures of the damage, Trex said the warranty was void due to the fact that the deck was installed improperly. Apparently the contractor Lowes hired used nails instead of the required hardware. He basically used cheaper materials and pocketed the difference. Obviously Lowes doesn't vet their contractors before they use them. Lowes gave us the runaround for months before deciding not to repair our deck.

Best service ever

I recently ordered a Samsung dryer from Lowe's. It was faulty and failed to work after I had it installed. So I called Samsung support were quite unhelpful so I decided to call Lowe's directly. The manager at the appliance desk was awesome and resolved my problem instantly and to my great satisfaction. I have always been a Lowe's customer and after this experience I would highly recommend them for appliances and above all their great service.

Installation delays

I purchased a home generator, to be installed in Dec. With a completion date of Jan. I still have no anticipated install date. Lowe's is stalling, delaying and trying to bully me to accept a 20% fee to cancel.

The My Lowes program is supposed to be a program that tracks your purchases, this is a great concept unfortunately a moron wrote the computer program that governs your account. They wrote it so that if you change any of your account information, it starts a new account and wipes all the information on your old account out. HOW STUPID CAN YOU GET. Not only is the person who wrote the program an idiot but the bigger idiots are the people who approved it and and the people who let this system continue. I think I will start shopping at Home Depot again even though it is a bit further drive. Nobody in there right mind gives people an account that cant be updated as needed.
