Bought a washer/dryer combo and 6 days later the delivery/install the dry was turned on a noise came from the back of the unit. Called Lowe's and the guy said it's over 48 hours so you have to take it up with the LG. I mentioned to him that I bought the 3 years protection plan and he said that doesn't kick in unit after the LG 1 year warranty runs out. Again he said that it up with LG. Will no longer doing business with Lowe's.
The Kitchen Aid name at one time meant quality. Before two years, our Kitchen Aid refrigerator and dishwasher have been replaced. The Kitchen Aid oven, at this time, will not come up to temperature and hangs in the preheat mode. Yes, we paid big money for the appliances thinking the name meant quality and we were wrong. I hope your experience has been different. We will now replace the stove and yes it will not be a Kitchen Aid. The response from the salesman at the local store was, "I'm sorry you had a bad experience. It's our number one selling brand".
I had an in store credit and wanted to purchase an item online that they did not offer in the store. I could not purchase the item using the in store credited. The store and customer service over the phone would not accept my payment with in store credit. They said it was a policy, that I can't use in store credit for an online purchase. I'm taking my business elsewhere, over $55, where I already spent my money.
Bought a washer. Deleivery was rescheduled(by lowes). The second time driver called to say they are on the way and would arrive within 30 minutes. They never showed. Got a call next day saying store had received my damaged washer. I said I knew nothing about it since no one had showed. They said it would need to be reordered and would be weeks. I decided to cancel rather than wait. Despite them agreeing they are still trying to charge me for the washer that they never delivered. Thank goodness for credit card companies so I can dispute a charge rather than let Lowes benefit from their sleaziness
Went to Lowes this morning. All three Lowes employees that I encountered were rude as hell. At 6:30 in the morning you think you'd be able to muster at least a somewhat decent attitude. Hell I just worked 10 pm to 6 am and had a better attitude.
I prepaid for carpet and kitchen vinyl installation beginning of September 2022. The carpet was installed -- the installers were a man and a wife who could barely speak english. -- I am not prejudice, but after paying almost $4,000.00 for carpet I would appreciate knowing and understanding the installer. The installation: Ripped up wall paper in my home throughout -- Kitchen vinyl -- it is so horrific, and I mean so horrific, I could have paid a vagrant to install the kitchen vinyl with as much "PROFESSIONALISM". I will not give up making Lowe's correct their mistakes. We as customers should have a certified installer in our home -- not someone they just ranked off the street! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I would add photos and/or video but the file is TOO large to show the damage done to my home.
I purchased a dishwasher over the phone from a Lowes store on a Wednesday. No mention was made of return policy. I was told they could not install for 10 days or more. I told the sales person I had an installer scheduled for the next Monday. Again no mention of return policy. The dishwasher was delivered on Friday and installed on Monday afternoon. The installer pointed out the flaws in the stainless steel skin on the door. I phoned the Lowes store on Tuesday morning and was told I would have to speak to the division that delivered the dishwasher. Long story short I was told that there is a 48 hour return policy. This was buried in a hyper link on the invoice I received on the Friday delivery date. After escalating to a "manager" I was told that I am out of luck and was refused the opportunity to speak to any superior and denied even their email addresses. Lowes knew the install was scheduled for more than 48 hours after the scheduled delivery but neglected to advise me that I should schedule the delivery so that the install would be within the 48 hour window.
We ordered 3 bifold doors from the Plymouth store in June. Paid $3000 in full at time of order. Patiently waited … doors were to be delivered in Sept. Finally came October 18.1 of the 3 doors was the wrong size. The so called manager Brandon. After repeated calls states we won't get the right door until January 6 ( highly doubtful) No apology, no compensation, refused to let me talk to a district manager, refused to let me have the contact for Masonite company. He lied about dates, promised to help get the door re ordered, promised some compensation. NOTHING! We have a carpenter hired and they have patiently waited only to be told by Brandon. Too bad. Absolutely horrible customer service!

This year we bought 3 major appliances and the delivery on all three was messed up. Two of the items were late and damaged. Got fed up and cancelled the 3rd one, they never even attempted to fix the issue. They didn't care when I told them we were never shopping there again. We had been customers for well over 20 years, spending lots of money and am now doing some remodeling so they are missing out on lots of sales.
Wife Purchase a 6-cu ft freezer on Oct 11- 2022 was told she would have it Delivered on Oct 26. That did not happen and there was no phone call from Lowes. I called Lowe's on Oct 28, asking what happened. They said they have No delivery date, or NO info where freezer is. But they did bill me and wanted the money. Told them to bill me all you want, I'm not paying. Just Lowes selling B. S. If I do not hear from Lowes this week, I will Cancel the order and get it from home depot next week.
I finally received my refund on Saturday. I was told that IT never gave the permission needed to get into the system that held the refund.
The manager said that the new system will be great once it is operational.
I appears I could have received my refund last Tuesday.
Lowe's burned us for a $1600 refrigerator. It's so bad they won't even take our complaint. They say we are to late and that is part of the complaint. Part of the dispute is when it was delivered. It doesn't work and they won't even answer the phone to take the complaint. Perfect way to end our house getting wiped out by the hurricane. Bob
48! Hrs return policy is bull$#*! bought over the range microwave picked it up nothing was said about returning it in 48 If there was an issue. Box sat on my dinning room table for about 4 wks until my neighbor had a chance to install it between both out work schedules door wouldn't open because of pantry cabinet tried to return it within 30 days had receipt nothing wrong with microwave just didn't fit in space. Lowe's would not let me return it said had to be returned within 48 hours. No where on my receipt does it say that nor did the cashier or appliance employee inform me of that
They promise fast delivery so I chose them over less expensive options then the delivery is delayed by a week. I check the tracking number and I can see the item just sitting at a shipping center for days. I contact support and they can't do anything, they don't even offer any sort of discount or partial refund.
Edit: the cabinets finally came and were also disappointing, cheap quality that fell apart when I touched them and the instructions were vague and sometimes completely missing important steps. But after leaving a bad review they did contact me and offer a 5% discount so I guess that's something.
Their plants are infested with a parasite. Every plant dies from this. Purchased at both Burbank and at central LA locations. I just discovered their return policy a week too late. The manager wouldn't do anything. Regardless. That's a gas and time you can't get back. Buy your plants elsewhere. Home Depot. Nurseries. There's better options.
The one thing I grew up with was going to the hardware store and knowing where everything was because they didn't move things around like they do now. It seems like every time I go into a store they have decided to move something to a different location not to mention every store seems to be set up different.
There was a time when Lowe's was worth shopping at but that time is long gone. I found a fridge on their website that was marked down $400 for a sale ending the same day. So I paid the sale price and called my husband to go pick it up. He was in town and closest. They said they couldn't give it to him because there was a hold on it as being sold, so he gave them the order number. Then they said it hadn't been picked yet so come the following day instead. So he drove over an hour to pick it up the next day. He gets there and they said we canceled the order. We did not. When the young witch so busy and interested in her manicured nails too long to even type couldn't convince him I canceled the order, she then said my bank canceled it to prevent fraud. Wrong again. Keep in mind the fridge is now $400 more since it's now the next day. At my husband's insistence, a manager finally comes and says their corporate office canceled it because I put his name down to pick up the fridge and they said it looked like fraud. Sure, we have the same last name, so I'm really buying that crap. Then they want us to pay full price to reorder the fridge. He told them no, they needed to honor the price I paid since it was their mistake. They were hateful and rude and we ended up getting the fridge for $200 CHEAPER than the sale price by going to Home Depot and their customer service is excellent. Save yourself time, frustration and money by going to Home Depot instead!
Have a Lowes Advantage Card. Did upgrades to my House. Always like them however could'nt get the bill paid off. 26% interest. Cannot PIF online or over the phone unless you PIF with a Debit Card or bank account. This is why I was trying to pay off at 8.25%. What a scam. Do not finance with Lowes. They will just take your money.
The dryer failed to work in second day, but we were busy that week, so we did not call Lowes until after 48 hours. The lady in customer service (Mt Vernon WA Lowes) asked me to call the manufacturer and refused to offer any help. She simply hung up the phone on me.
Be AWARE if you do not use a Lowes credit card or buy the protection plan your appliance warranty is only good for 48 HOURS. My refrigerator was leaking Freon less than 3 weeks after purchase. Absolutely rude and no help what so ever. How disappointing

Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
