I purchase large and expensive planters. They arrived damaged in damaged boxes. They refuse to sign a release so I can file a claim with fedex. Their only solution is me returning crap to them. They weigh over 100 lbs!
Ordered full house windows and sliding doors in Florida. Waited 12 months for delivery that was mishandled. 75% of order was wrong size. Took two months to cancel order and get partial refund. Insult to injury we were required to pay upfront with an 18 month no interest loan that turned out to be a 6 month no interest loan. They lied! No communication whatsoever until we wrote to company CEO.
Worst experience ever! Lowes should not be in the home improvement business. They were the cheapest but you get what you pay for! How many times need I learn that lesson!
I purchased a Kobalt 20" Self Propelled lawn mower( Model #KLMS 2524A-03) from Lowes late last summer and when I went to use it this year, I immediately had troubles with it shutting off. I believe the problem was in the handle which had to be fully extended and clamped shut for the blade to turn. It wouldn't stay clamped. I wouldn't recommend this model because of that.
On the other hand, we called the 800 number on the manual, explained the issue, they gave us a return number and we took it back with no hassles! Kudos to Lowes for the good customer service. Oh, I bought a more expensive EGO mower from them.

Lowes return policy specifically states that if a purchase was made on a debit card the customer has the option to get their refund as cash or to have the money put back on their card. MY STORE IN WAVELAND REFUSED TO RETURN MY CASH AND DID NOT GIVE ME THE CASH OPTION STATING THAT THEIR "NEW" SYSTEM DOES NOT GIVE THE CASHIER THE OPTION OF REFUNDING CASH IF THE PURCHASE WAS MADE ON A Debit CARD. On April 12th I purchased a skil saw and an L square with my debit card at the Lowes store in Waveland, Mississippi. The saw was broken and the square was not needed. Approximately 1 hour later I returned to the store to return the items. The cashier proceeded with the return and informed me that the refund would go back onto my card. I told her that I wanted the cash so I could purchase another item. She immediately informed me that she could not give me cash as the items were purchased on a debit card and the money HAD to go back to the card. I was later told by the store manager that refunds had to be made in the way that they were paid and there was no longer an option of receiving cash for a debit card purchase. It is now 5 days later and WHILE LOWES HAS THEIR MERCHANDISE BACK, I STILL DON'T HAVE MY MONEY! BUYER BEWARE! IF you need your refund immediately I suggest you NOT USE A DEBIT CARD TO MAKE PURCHASES AT LOWE'S, YOUR MONEY WILL BE STUCK IN CYBERSPACE SOMEWHERE AND YOU WILL BE STUCK AT THE MERCY OF WHOMEVER HAS IT. LOWE'S WRITTEN RETURN POLICY FOR DEBIT CARDS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG THE STORE DID NOT AND REFUSES TO ABIDE BY IT.
Buyer Beware We purchased cabinets from the 13th St Gainesville
Store in Feb. They were delivered 2 wks early. We were remodling our kitchen. When u purchase cabinets & ctop from Lowes u must pay for e everything up front no 50% down & bal when done.
So you are at their mercy. Wswere heraased by cotinuas calls saying we must put cabs in house.
We live here there is no room in the house. They said if we,didn't do it they wouldnot be installed. OK
Next problem installer come out took old cabs down & found mold. I told him it would be fixed that night & he could come back Fri. He said he would have to fit us in whenever. We spe t over 15,000.00
& he's going to fit us in. No calls sowe we t out Fri morning he shows up. The sales person called us on our cell & told us he was at our house waiting
We went home 10 min if that he left
Now we have to wait. Hecould of called on our cell or she could of called him.
Countertop people are scheduled to come out Tues to make a template for the granite. Horrible experience spending good monies Tobe harassed
Not k owing if they will so up. I already filed with the BBB. If I would of read reviews before we bought our cabinets & installation, we would of not used Lowes

I drove from Marietta to Alpharetta (Duke Rd store) to pickup tile. At first I was concerned because one gentleman told me they did not have my order in stock. Then Alfred came and pulled the tile and helped me. This gentleman was a refreshing note to a dreary day. He was pleasant, friendly, smiled and very kind. Thank you Alfred for your assistance

I set up an online account many years ago that included a previous email address. Now, I have two accounts as my sign on inconsistently signs me into the old account. Lowe's keeps sending online receipts and orders to nonfunctioning email address. I cannot change it as it says the account already exists. When I sign online it inconsistently refers me to an old email address and a Lowe's in another city. So my records go there and I cannot merge the old information with the present account. I have even called corporate headquarters for assistance without success.
I was in the process of buying a major item online from Lowes when they offered me a 20% discount on my purchase if I took out a Lowes credit card. However the card isn't from Lowes itself, but from another shady company. After going through a tedious application process, which included multiple codes sent to my cellphone, I was turned down without explanation. Which is strange since I have a near 700 credit score. I contacted Lowes, they contacted the card company and they offered me the card, but I decided not to use such a half baked company and you shouldn't either. A similar thing happened to me a few years back when my local bank, which like Lowes I like, sold their credit card services to a third party. Their service was chaotic as well. Stay away from Lowes credit cards. They're not worth the hassle for a 20% one time discount. Patrick

I've been putting brick pavers in my backyard and it's been a years-long project. I've been getting the large 900# totes of sand from Lowe's. I usually get them from a different Lowe's than the one this review is about. One of the times, I didn't get the tote bag back within the 90-day return window (there is a $20-$23 deposit). The manager at that store said that she could override the 90 day return policy and she refunded me the deposit money. I turned right around and bought another tote along with hundreds of dollars worth of other materials. In fact, I have spent a minimum of $50,000 at Lowe's over the last 30 years, fixing up and remodeling three houses that I have owned over that time span.
I decided to get a tote of sand from the Tempe, AZ store, #3000, because it happened to be convenient. Well, once again, I went over the 90 day limit (I've boaught at least six totes from them). It turned out to be 110 days. I went to the Tempe Lowes and the manager on duty told me that Lowe's basically lost THEIR deposit on the bag because I was returning it past the 90 days and that he had had to buy another bag to replace the one that I was attempting to return. I asked if I could get store credit. Nope. I told him I was going to turn around and spend $400 just on that visit (8 - 4'x'8 lattices and and 24 - 2x4 ground contact lumber.). Nope. He wouldn't have any of it. There was nothing he could do. Now, I knew this was a lie because the manager at the other store was able to override that 90-day return policy. So Matt was lying through his teeth. If he had been honest with me and said he WOULD not override the policy instead of telling me he COULD not, I would have had some modicum of respect for him.
But because of Matt's lackadaisical attitude toward me, Lowe's has lost a customer. Oh, sure, I'll buy some small items from them if I'm in a pinch, but it's the big orange HD for me from now on. And I plan on telling EVERYBODY about my experience with Matt, the manager on duty at 2:45 pm of the Lowe's on 777 E Baseline Rd, Tempe, AZ *******, Lowe's store number 3000.

Went into store and ordered carpet and tile. Had person come a few days later to measure. Person seemed inabig hurry and forgot to measure one of the bathroom floors!? Huh pretty simple as we also told her where and what to measure. So they rescheduled another appt to come back and measure what should have been measured in the first place.
Ask for them to come in the morning which was agreed to then they called and changed it to the afternoon between 12:00 and 2:30 it's 5:00 and we just now get a call saying they're going to have to reschedule. So you call your customer two and a half hours after you're supposed to be there to tell him you're not going to make it?
Well we will find someone else stay away from this bunch of idiots.

We Bought and had installed a New Dishwasher. From day one it leaked, After 3 days of installation techs coming out. Lowes told us we had to call the warranty dept. for whirlpool and have them come out and fix it. Brand new product, not used or open Box.
Would not replace the dishwasher. Called the store and they did nothing to support their product they sold me. Made it my issue to get replaced or replaced.
I purchased a brand new whirlpool refrigerator. To find out in the first couple of days that it does not get cold. Talking to the rude customer service representative. Whated to send a technician out. I don't know no one after spending 2000.00 on a refrigerator that the first week you would have someone come look at it. After telling Ashley that I looked up the reviews and the main complaint was the refrigerator only gets warm even on the highest temperature. I purchased the appliance March 6,2023 over 3 appointments was made to pick up refrigerator and give me a refund. Now that me food have molded and spoiled. Talking to Julie, Juanita and Michelle to name a few representatives. The refrigerator is still at my house and no calls or shows for pickup. Even though I have pictures of the molded food emails saying they would come pick up refrigerator for a refund. Now today I get a email stating they will not be picking up or giving me a refund on a product that loews clearly know is the main complaint. I will be going to corporate in the morning. I will NEVER SHOP OR RECOMMEND LOEWS TO NO ONE. If I could give them negative stars the would get a negative 10 and that's being generous.
Been waiting for over 30 minutes. Lowe's is the worst! I'm unable to walk due to recent surgery. Out of the many stores where I use Curb Pickup Lowes is 10X worse than all the others!
On Feb. 15, I purchased a storm door and paid for installation, a total of over $700. It is almost two months later, and I still do not have my door. I asked if I could cancel the order and was told that I would have to pay an "restocking fee." My advice: Go to Home Depot.
We punches a refrigerator and a stove over a month ago, paid in full including delivery charges. We had to schedule our delivery far in advance due to construction constraints. On the date of delivery(latest we could schedule) we are informed that we were scheduled between 4pm and 8pm. Ok…it was a Friday, no problem….HA…. They showed up at 10pm. Plus the refrigerator was dented in the doors. So they hold our money for over a month, and can not deliver at the scheduled time. Pathetic…. I am through big box stores….abysmal service!

Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
