Booked a holiday back in May 2022 for the following May 2023 because it seemed a good deal. Our mistake of booking so far in advance our circumstances have changed and want to amend the holiday to later in the year. Says do it online you can't unless you pay for a whole new holiday despite it says you can amend booking which to me means amend original booking not book a complete new holiday at another cost. Manage to speak to a call centre female who said she would help amend it. Took 40 minutes waiting to speak to a human then 50 minutes trying to explain to her what the changes were. She kept putting me on hold as I think we were a bit lost in translation. Almost sorted out after I had to give her new flight numbers and spell place names for her off of her own site. Then just before I thought the process was finally sorted at long last the phone her end got cut off. So now I've checked on my app and nothing has changed it's still got the original booking on there! I've spoken to the ombudsman and by the sound of it I'm not the first one to have reported them. Good luck people but I think you might find they get lost in translation.

6 hours online to correct an error no help not fixed. Awful staff 7 days 6 calls hours on hold and not any further forward. Tried to cancel and they wanted to pay to cancel

We booked a package holiday with Love Holidays, Unfortunately on the day the Easyjet plane broke down, then after several hours when it was finally fixed, the weather came in, then they decided to cancel our flight. It was a Saturday. We tried to contact Love Holidays, but they said they could not deal with us until Monday! This was a text chat and the only means of communication with them. It was the same with our RAC travel insurance, so we ended up having the choice of either abandoning our well earned short break or paying out for new flights with another company, then sorting out accommodation near the airport and paying for new transfers to the airport in the morning and from the airport to the hotel at the other end. We decided to put it all on a credit card, and deal with it on our return. We new we were protected because the The Package Travel regulations stated that if the package provider could not supply the originally agreed flights and accommodation, then within two weeks we were due our money back IN FULL! That was over a month ago and we have received nothing so far. To add insult to injury, while away (and at the earliest opportunity), on the Monday, while on holiday, we contacted Love Holidays. They completely washed their hands of the whole situation and stated that we needed to contact Easyjet. So as well as loosing over a day of our 4 days break, another couple of hours were wasted trying to reason with them, to absolutely no avail.

Today over a month on, I tried to contact Love Holidays (which I recorded the audio of, and when I put our Booking Reference into there automated system, it stated that Love Holidays was prioritizing other customer! In other words we could not even communicate with them at all.

My next step will be to speak to a solicitor in order to get compensation for the time we have spent messing about because they have next to no customer care.

In short, I would never use this company again and would definitely not recommend them.

Absolutely Shocking

We booked a £4000 holiday to Cuba on the 28th of December, all inclusive for March 2023.
After paying the full amount, only by chance we were made aware that we may have to pay an additional £300 for US Visas because our flights change in Miami (we aren't even leaving the airport).
I contacted Love Holidays via their live chat (which by the way is the only way to contact them).
A very obnoxious agent called Banele told me that they cannot give any details as to travel requirements and I needed to check online.
I then asked to cancel the holiday and was informed that I would only receive a refund of £1867.87 of the £4000 we have paid.
We are also unable to speak to anyone on the telephone as it is more than 4 weeks until our holiday.
Starting small claims claim today for the full amount.
Absolutely shocking behaviour and Love Holidays you should be ashamed of your customer service.

Booked holiday for 3, people, 3 rooms, gave good notice that 3rd person could not come due to health issues, stitched us up for 3 flights, 3 rooms, 3 all inclusive, when they were given good notice, they ignore their cancellation policy...Hotel sympathetic, and said had the agent rang it could all have been sorted. LH did nothing...too lazy to bother, and we know they sub let the 3rd room we paid for already, disgusted is an understatement. Please dont book with this company, they are absolutely shocking, greedy robbers. Hope the third person, we do not now, enjoyed their free flight, their hotel room and the all inclusive we paid for... one disgusted customer

Never trust love holiday

Don't book with this company. They don't give a damn on what they sell you. They don't check the service or quality of hotel or holiday destination that they sell you and when you complain offer you a pittance of compensation.

Arrived in benidorm local time 9.00 pm, the receptionist said there was no booking in our name, we had to pay the bill of 900 euros, we was refunded after 7 days, but what if we only had our spending money. Absolute disgrace, WE WILL NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. If u have booked with these, my tip would be is this, contact the hotel direct at least a week before u depart. Good luck

I booked a holiday to Turkey City hills hotel kusadasi with love holidays, I had a very serious issue with bedbugs and love holidays were no help after service is terrible, can't speak to a person, all on line only time you ever get to speak to someone is when you're booking your holiday, once your booked and paid money, your on your own, no help and especially when you're away on holidays if something happens like what happened with me no help at all, I will never use love holidays again I can't get my refund,

Disappointed

Be careful with loveholidays. We booked a nice experience 5 hotel in Turkey through them, when we arrived to the hotel we found out that the hotel was overbooked and few of us from the UK were moved to a cheaper hotel that was in the middle of nowhere. No support nor compensation was provided by loceholidays. It was our first and the last booking through them

Beware hidden charges

Love Holidays/Hotel Edison New York. I have just flown out to New York having booked a year ago with love holidays. We believed everything was included with our price however we have just been hit with a $200 fee at check in for facilities fee for water in our room, breakfast which I have already paid for in advance and use of the gym which we have no interest in using. To eat breakfast in hotel you have to pay $5 each day per person, plus tip. I understand there is a city fee which is fine, but a $200 facility fee which we haven't budgeted for is not. I have been online chat to Gagan (love holidays) for past hour, and they seem to disconnect my chat. Surprise surprise no managers are available I have spoken to hotel managers who said love holidays should make clients aware of this. This has totally ruined my husband and my 20th Anniversary.

Also make sure the room you booked is the one advertised, we have moved twice so far. Only good this about being here is the location

Disgraceful company

I booked my holiday through this company, but my holiday was shortened by two days. I was offered a full refund. But no... love holidays keept taking the monthly instalments. But you cant speak to anyone. The live chat is automated. Which means its not live chat. So love holidays... you are a f**king disgrace.

Leave you high and dry
We booked flights, transfer and Hotel through love holidays. We arrived at tunisia with NO luggage. All 4 cases missing holding everything including medication for heart failure and respiratory disease. We lodged this with the airport and were told that the next flight 7 hours later might have them on. We told the transfer this and they said "don't worry your rep will sort". They insisted we got on the transfer. We then travelled 180km for 3 hours with NO baggage... We got to the resort and we were told that noone had ever heard of love holidays... The guest relations tried the UK number numerous times for in resort services with no reply. Tui and the "meeting place" tried to help. The transfer company refused to help even though with our permission they could have looked for our baggage. We were stuck in an Arabic and French speaking country with no help whatsoever. I managed to "speak " with the online chat on Sunday 16th whom were unsympathetic, unhelpful and deleted all the chat. Funny that. They would not even give me relevant phone numbers
If we had of been helped we might of been able to enjoy our holiday and be reunited with our baggage. As it turned out our 10 day holiday became a 7 day holiday as it took 3 days with loads of assistance from guest relations to actually be reunited with our bags... You sell yourselves as a package holiday but you aren't. You are nothing more than a broker. Your in resort reps dont exist. Your online chat services are managed by uncaring, unempathetic alleged humans. Once the "holiday" has been sold you provide nothing at all. No support at all I would never ever have booked with you if I had realised you aren't a package company. The flight wasn't even a connecting flight. 50 mins to run through CDG Airport. Its crazy.
To spend 3 days of a holiday that you've saved hard for distressed, anxious and unsupported is an absolute disgrace
Shame on you. I wouldn't recommend you to anyone. You are cheap for a reason. Far better booking everything yourself then at least you have control and don't rely on non existent rep

Be very careful of trustpilot reviews as they are not genuine and the main reason i know this is that they will manipulate these reviews to favour the merchant because they have a financial agreement/contract in place. Just go onto the Loveholidays website and you will see the reviews on the site and loveholidays pay for this service and therefore Trustpilot themselves are not to be trusted as a provider. Shame on you both. Also, any problems with these travel agents with paying you. Please contact your card provider and start a chargeback to get your money back and document all communication

I booked a trip to Rome with love holidays in a four star hotel just outside the center away from the busy hustle and bustle but with easy access to the center being only a stone throw away, well that's how they advertised it and it couldn't of been any further from the truth. Let's start with the ant infested hotel, " four stars" is a joke this place was run down in a run down area where I could see drugged up people on abandoned sofas literally outside my room smoking and drinking in terrible states. There was a door leading into the hotel room next to me inside my room and easy could be opened, The area had no shops open as you could tell the place was run down and almost forgotten about everything had spray paint on it and not the artistic type there were mounds of filthy rubbish surrounded by rats and seemed to be quite dangerous to walk around. Groups of people constantly approaching you asking for cigarettes and couldn't get any food or water as shops were derelict. Moving on to the distance they advertised it as being a stone throw away and in reality it was a hour by train that stops running at 11pm or 60 to 100 euro for a taxi per way costing nearly 200 euro just to get to the center and back. When I called love holidays which is a task within itself they said they were sorry but it's not up to them to vet the hotel and area and admitted to never checking the hotels are what they say they are. They said they would try move me hotels but it was not certain as they felt like this wasnt their fault and after spending 4 hours on and off phone calls they said that they were not to blame. Honestly it's gamble using this company but if I were to give advice avoid it like the plague.

SCAM. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR TRANSFERS…

UPDATE: a representative from the company emailed me requesting proof the transfer never showed up. I provided more than enough information to confirm the transfer did not show to which they responded "thank you for your response Miss Quinn, I'll go ahead and close this ticket". I have reached out every day for the past 2 months and I am still awaiting a refund. This company has taken my money for a service they did not provide and is refusing to speak with me about a refund. They are a SCAM and I advise to AVOID them at all costs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR TRANSFERS IN PORTUGAL. Waiting over an hour in the airport for pick-up. Had to call several times before a driver eventually showed up. Pick-up for the flight home was scheduled for 7am. No driver arrived. We called the "emergency number". A man, half asleep answered and said someone was on the way. Half an hour later, still no driver. Called the "emergency number" 5 more times and no one bothered to answer. Had to get a taxi and still trying to get a refund. Download the Free Now taxi app and use this. Faster, cheaper and more reliable.

Nightmare

Nightmare, the online customer service are not fit for purpose, a simple question and Ntebokeng the chat line operator gave stupid answers. When I asked to be put through to a manger they refused. When I asked how do I complain they cancelled chat. Called again Mark this time, much the same but this time with aggression and rudeness. Third time Natalia less aggressive but still refusing to help. Now I have no answer to the question and Loveholidays are blocking me from complaining or indeed contacting them to resolve the problem. Don't ruin your holiday book elsewhere.

Word travel company ever...

Worst travel company I have ever come across... I have had a very dark and depressing few years, with a lot of family stresses including health being a real negative factor. With my mum. Fighting cancer, going through chemo and my dad battling diabetes, having both his legs chopped off. I booked a holiday in April with love holidays and in August they went and cancelled the whole holiday. I contacted them and said why did you do this? They said they are sorry and that I should use the website and book it again? I went online and I saw the holiday but it was £1200 more expensive and the luxury swim up room was no longer available. I had booked individually with my 5 of my friends and I was the instigater for the holiday but I got done bad. They said they can not do anything else for me. Not even offer me a discount. But then could book me a standard room in the hotel at a more expensive rate than I paid for the swim up.

I explained my concerns above and how the holiday is needed for my mental well being and it was ignored. I am gutted I have booked multiple holidays with them. I would never use them again even if I had to. I would not recommend them to anyone. Now I know that sometimes it's the individual who ruins a companies reputation but in this case its a collective experience from multiple agents that has ruined my whole year and sent me back to my dark days... I Hope they use this particular experience and better them selves. Its not nice feeling the way I am because of a company that's supposed to make you love holidays!
