I tried to get hood supports for a 2000 lexus rx300 from 2 local auto parts suppliers and got the wrong part both times. Even though I gave them the number stamped on it. So I found Lift Support Depot and gave them the same info, (virtual assistant) and was able to see the complete specs on the replacement parts they were going to send so I could assure they were the correct parts. Shipped very fast, exact replacement for old lifts on truck toolbox except the mounting holes were a tad too small, drilled them out and fit perfect
I called first but no one answered so I emailed instead. The customer service was very helpful and gave me 3 options to choose from. I placed my order online and received my struts really fast. I was able to install with a flat head, ladder to hold up the door, some dw40, and the help of a you tube video from DirtFarmerJay and the whole removal and install was no less than 20 minutes. I was so proud of myself. This saved me hundreds of dollars and time at the dealership. I'm sooo appreciative and thankful.
My wife has an older BMW hatchback. Not a push button type. She loves the vehicle but had trouble reaching the tailgate to close it. The information on the web site allowed me find a set of lifts that lowered the gate height when it opened. The y fit and lift the gate to the height she needed.

Great to find replacements and also different brands for all the struts on my cars. Only thing to note is confusion regarding "hatch" versus "liftgate" on this SUV, as those appear to be the same thing, but there are actually different parts listed for those two different terms on this vehicle.

These screw on the Support ends converted my existing new Support lifts to fit my newly acquired blazer…. They were screw off screw on and converted my lift supports from approximately an 8 mm ball socket to a 10 mm ball socket…. I was able to reuse my fairly new lift supports on my next vehicle. They worked awesome …very happy.

I was replacing struts on the bonnet of a 1986 Daimler Double Six automobile that ccould be pushed onto the ball studs and did not know that these struts require you to insert a little spring C clip into tiny holes in the strut's socket to keep it on the ball studs. One end had to go way down into a confined area and one side had no access to get the C clip into those tiny holes and the other side was extremely difficult having to work through a 3/4" gap with tiny needle nose pliers only possible on that side because the tiny holes were on the gap side. The specifications said the extended length was 13.15 inches and the compressed length was 7.95 inches, but the actual compressed length was 8.25 inches and the extended length was 13.065 inches so the stroke was barely enough to let the bonnet close. These were much more tedious to install than the type with an external/internal spring that can be forced over the ball studs.

Appreciated the listed specs for compressed length and force to make sure these have enough stroke and force for my 1986 Daimler Double Six Bonnet. Hope the fit is as reported by other purchasers.
Had a problem with damaged/missing part when delivered by carrier. Contacted customer service and the problem was cheerfully resolved. Received complete order three days later. Very satisfied with this company

I was given the absolute best pre-sales customer service in helping me track down the item that would come closest to replacing my original lifts. The lifts I got seemed to be a bit lighter weight than the ones they are replacing. This is not too surprising given how hard it was for us to find an exact replacement with no specifications available for the originals. I got the lifts installed and they are currently working. I hope they hold up long term. I have nothing but thanks and positive things to say for Lift Supports Depot for the assistance given.
