I have been selling on Craigslist for years and I decided to try Letgo on the recommendation of someone who bought an item from me. When I get a reply on a post, I always try to reply immediately. Even so, most of the time the person never messages back. Why is this? Either their are alot of really sadistic people out there or the messaging part of the app is highly unreliable. I just can't believe there are that many different users who will respond to an ad and then never say another word. I would say it happens around 85% of the time. When I get one of those I always report it and block that user but there seems to be a never-ending stream of them. I read reviews on here about sellers not responding to potential buyer inquiries so I have to wonder if the app is just very sketchy with communication reliability. On Craigslist, people can be unreliable too, but not anywhere near this extent. Letgo needs to step it up a notch.

Really good app but a lot of non-communicative sellers. I guess you can just bypass those who dont respond to buyer(s) or use the report feature. Seems to be in its infant stage but holds a good deal of promise as a means of buying/selling.

Easy to use but you get totally flaking people. They express interest and then you never hear from them again. Then people you don't know "favorite" you items and you can click on their profiles. Why? Who cares if they 'favorite' your item. You get asked to lower the price and then they flake out on your. All in all a big waste of your time and effort. They only way it could be worse is if you had to pay for it.

I tried LETGO & OfferUp! I sold 2 items right away on OfferUp. I had problems with Letgo right from the start. 1st they discarded a post that I spent a lot of time on. It was a bedroom suite. I described each piece in detail. Letgo notified me that it was a duplicate & discarded it. I had to redo the whole thing. Next I got a notification that wouldn't go away. It was fron Letgo telling me to sell something else. I haven't sold anything on Letgo. I have sold 2 items on OfferUp that equaled $110. I downloaded Letgo 1st. Letgo was a waste of my time.

Nov. 18th, 2016 I've had numerous problems with letgo.com for the pass few days. No one seems to be able to correct the technical problems. For instance: duplicates of your items being posted without your knowledge, then their sending u a text saying it's been deleted. Also, you post one thing on the site, next thing u know it's doubled own ur profile. Even when I tried to help, it got worse. Can we get someone to re train these workers or get new ones that know what their doing? It's been really frustrating and I do want to stay with letgo.com, but not if the problems keep arising, thk u Phyllis Mayberry, Statesville nc

Turning into Craigslist
November 19, 2016

Just like Craigslist and Ebay, Letgo is infiltrated with businesses who post literally hundreds of postings and clog up the app for individual sellers. I have complained, reported, etc and nothing is done. I thought it was for individual sellers? If Letgo allows this it seems that they should charge the business for "commercial" listings. I have sold and bought with some incredible deals. I love Letgo but I see as time goes by that it is on the same road as Ebay and Craigslist.

Letgo is a paradise for scammers. There are both buyers and sellers who are incredible scammers. There is no way to rate a person, it really needs a rating system of some sort. Also, dealing with a person who is verified by Facebook or Google, or whatever makes no difference at all. I've seen people buy counterfeit jewelry (for about literally a couple of dollars) and then post a picture of them wearing them on their hands to make it look as if they've been wearing them for years, and sell them for a whole lot more than a few $$.

Most sellers on letgo are uneducated and greedy and think that their offbrand foreign branded tablet that has been chewed by a dog is worth $100. They list items at the retail price as if their product is brand new, instead you should just buy a new item on Amazon or Ebay since there is buyer protection on those sites and you can get refunds. If you get scammed on letgo, it is too bad, and the police most likely will do absolutely nothing to help (speaking from my own personal experience)

Every other scammer/person is trying to sell a stolen iPhone, and always says that the only problem is the screen is cracked and it just needs a new screen, or they take it apart and disable the screen so that you can't properly check to see if it has been activation locked. So after you fix the screen, you find out that the phone is still not usable.

I placed my wedding dress on Letgo to sell. Well I only got two hits on it after being on there for like two weeks. The first one was crap, and said she was interested in it one minute but then all of a sudden in mid conversation says no ill pass. Then, best of all the second one was all about my dress and said she would pay full price to what I was asking. She then tells me that she lives in Ohio City, and would like to ship it to her after funds are cleared. I asked her how she plans on paying me, and she says she wants to send me a check. I have been scammed before, so I told her that I will not be accepting a cashier check. She said that she is a christian and wouldn't dare scam anyone, and wants my address and name to send me the check. I felt a little Leary about it all, but gave her my po box and name. She then asked me for my phone number which I gave, then I asked her for her phone number and wouldn't give it to me. After that she deleted her account. NEVER USE>

So obviously a scam!
November 16, 2016

I posted two end tables I wanted to sell. I received a response back asking can I go cheaper. I did not even quote a price. I responded with that statement and the person stated oh I'm sorry no I think I'll pass. This automatically lead me to believe that they have bogus people responding to these postings that don't even take the time to read them. I immediately blocked the poster and deleted the app from my phone! What a waste of my time! This scam deserves a zero rating but I had to put a one star there just to post this.

I have deleted my account with Letgo. Giving out information about yourself to people you do not even know ( when they say they will come over to pick up whatever you are selling and then NOT showing up) seems dangerous. You do not know whom you are dealing with. Yet these people have your name, address and phone number. Most of the people who ask me about the items I am selling have deleted their account after saying they are interested or are coming over to pick the item up. AFTER getting my address and info. Please, if you have an account on Letgo, be careful.

I had used it several times before with good results. I had sold what I was selling locally. Just need to be careful with people trying to scam you, and be patient with the rude people with no manners that want things for pennies and don't know how to negotiate in a courteous manner. Some people will leave you hanging, others will work out great. Ask lots of questions, be safe and be cautious.

What a JOKE, nothing works, they are trying to do a quick build up and sell the company, nothing works, NO ONE will contact you if you try to buy something (7 attempts) to buy freezers, 4 days and not 1 contact or response.

Craigslist is much better, even the Greensheet is faster.

Fake users contact you then never respond after that, have not sold anything here listed 10 times cuz you get a hit every time but the stuff is still here, give out my number no one ever calls. It has to be mostly all fake to just make click ad money. I am sure some folks actually sell I have tried to buy but who wants to drive across town to save 5 bucks when u can just use amazon or ebay

Scam
November 13, 2016

Looked for a car. 16 year old jeep 41k miles. Sounded suspicious. Found another car.
Both people emailed me exact same reason why they were selling. Husband died... being deployed... bad memories!
I'll pass and delete app from my phone.

Scams
November 12, 2016

Nothing but scams on this site. More than craigslist. Everyone texts you to "ship" the product. This website needs to filter out the scammers much better. Very disappointing in this day and age to allow such fraud.
